  I worked on an evaluation with over 1300 machines for a few weeks now. I just ran a VMware capacity Planner data report today and it shows that 37 systems. Anyone else having this problem? • Capacity Planner - no report?

  Hi all

  I'm doing my first run with Capacity Planner and I run a CBS for our internal environment as a test.  The collector has worked for several weeks and it seems to work fine (data, logs display the data are synchronized, reports run).  However when I connect to http://optimize.vmware.com I can't generate all reports.  If I open the dashboard of company I see data (lists systems, performance indicators, etc.) and the company status that it y 24 systems to consider.  The 'Reports' tab is dimmed and does not respond to clicks.

  I'm sure that a few step or the configuration is missing, but I can't understand what it is.  If someone could point me in the right direction that would be great.

  Maybe you should check to define your project... whether the server or desktop.

  Then choose or define the target server that you want to include in the reports.

  (administration-> my project->, and then choose your project)

  Hi guys. We are under planning 11.1.x, and have a bunch of statements of lots that are implemented using batch Scheduler. I want to be able to run reports of individual lot of a command batch on the server prompt. How can I do this? I see that there is a way to export to command line or something like that batch Scheduler but do not know how to proceed.

• bug report: plans of work of Illustrator CC 2015 export to SVG

  In CC 2015 new illustrator when I need to save each artboard as svg files (file-> save... under-> svg-> use artboard...) - files is null (no work in the saved files). When I save and did not choose "use the work plan" I can see work in svg recorded.

  When I open the same file in Illustrator CC 2014 - I put the artboard in svg without any problem.

  Yes, the output will be even if you run the report tomorrow. ASH means Active session STORY. It contains the history of the session, so all of the ranks is snap_id even if the view is filled every second instead if only during the AWR snapshots. ASH has a same as AWR report retention policy, so you can back up your retention policy settings, default value is 8 days.

• Reports that run "Generating Report. Please wait... "forever

  Does anyone else have this problem?  I have several reports that when they contain a lot of data, run forever, and I never get the report.

  For me, this isn't a bug. But I'm picky like that. In 6.5.1 vFoglight (Foglight core 5.5.8) all report/view/process that runs longer than 5 minutes are killed by the kernel Foglight engine. It is a mechanisim of security to kill the process of "thugs."  I recommend you research that vFoglight infrastructure. I solved this problem for many customers to set up the database server or vFoglight for a better response. We'll find out why it takes so long for the execution of the report. Also if you try 'Generate report' planning report. The option 'Generate report' maintains a link between the client and the host vFoglight and the connection may time out. The report may have been generated, but your connection to vFoglight host has been lost.

  VFoglight 6.6 resolution is to show a progress bar with more advanced user. I don't know if the 5 minute limit has been developed. So if the underlying infrastructure is to have the relationship may not always work.

  I am writing a script to report on disk / the use of the capacity for each virtual machine in the environment.

  I try to include a column in the generated report (CSV), which includes the CustomField/CustomAttributes for each virtual computer as well as the news of disk capacity.  The report runs fine, but after you export the report to CSV (Export-Csv using) the newly created column just to the custom attribute field displays the following parameters for each line/entry:

  Because the property "CustomFields" itself is an object, and you try to get out of the strings to the CSV format, you must manage the object.  You can replace the line in question by something like:

  Which would result in the output for the column that might look like:

  dTestAttrib0 = someValue,dTestAttrib1 = AnotherValue
  

  In other words, there is a list separated by characters of the key/value pairs in the CustomFields property for the virtual machine.

  In addition, if you are interested, you might be able to clean up your code a bit by using the '-property ' New-Object parameter.  As:

• Thresholds of system capacity Planner

  I would like to know if there is a way to fix the system for Capacity Planner for reports limits. I know that I can do when creating optimization scenarios but when I run report it sends 83 systems that are not virtualization candidates. I know that these machines are good candidates because I already use a couple in the production. The spec that throws everything off is the pagination (Pgs/sec). By default, Vmware uses 200. People on the forums and my teacher Capacity Planner said that it should be longer as 10 000. Of course if I have a script to optimize these systems and make these changes of paging, systems are then added to the sys column and are removed from the column of exception systems. I need to submit reports on these systems however.

  Hi Rob,

  You can change the threshold of change scenarios that are used for optimization reports.  There are two scenarios and they are marked with *.

  To change scenarios, go to analyze = > optimizing food and click the scenario names who wear * before the name.

  Follow the wizard until you reach the page "adjust the system thresholds.

  Please note that there are two scenarios with * and you must change both of them.

  Hi, if you use 10g:

  -Scheduled report execution information are stored in a database by the Scheduler of bi publisher (i.e. opensymphony quartz): with this approach, you can query the corresponding tables that will provide you with all the information related to this work (but you can't OPE. correspondent for example definition: the corresponding request of OPE, the duration of the corresponding query, etc...)
  -News reports planned (whose execution are stored in the db of the database) are also accessible using the web service editor api bi (PublicReportService_v11 + patch 12574209 group). This approach gives the same information as above, but you will not have to write corresponding sql queries
  -I don't know if you can easily executed audit report (i.e.: don't not to demand) because their performance information is not stored by beep. Maybe you can use the following approach:
  * With the help of data with beforeReport and afterReport triggers models allows you to step through the pl/sql functions (procedures) that you can pass the same settings you report beep.
  * See the list of BIPS patch because now it give you a way to specify pl/sql procedure (function or procedure) to trigger the use of your data source defined in PIF (i.e.: jdbc sources)

  Hope that will help you, but I think that you will need to do some research and try to get what you want exactly want since I wrote works with the oracle database. I do not know if those that apply to other database providers and other types of data source jdbc or olap.
  You can also get the same information that OBIEE because monitoring that they do not provide the same info. I don't know if you can get the info (i.e. monitoring info use obiee) of beep.

• A Dell power supply

  So I just ordered a W540 as my PC work too Exchange on my old Dell latitude.

  My company is trasferring from Dell to lenovo setups in all offices.

  We move arround with our mobile phones, so we have a lot of power additional Dell supplys (19.5 V 3-34A with round plugs).

  My question is, that we will be able to use an adapter like this one (http://www.ebay.com/itm/2PCS-New-Power-converter-Cable-Adapter-For-Lenovo-ThinkPad-Carbon-0B47046-/3...) to power our laptops instead of buying loads of new power supply?

  Lol the dell that won't work. First of all, you have to either 6.75 amps or 7.5 amps, depending on whether you have quad core or dual core CPU and 20V. The Lenovo who have a signal pin and the device determines what power supply capacity you have by measuring the resistance between pin signal and the mass. The dell have a lack of capacity and not report correctly.
