• CAPEX - capital assets under Construction

  Hi all
  
  I'm currently considered the 'out of the box' Capex planning module and trying to decide how best to make changes so that we can plan for assets that are under construction.
  
  Out of the box, it seems that you can only enter a total value of an item and put into service on a given date. We want to be able to plan on a monthly basis and use the total of the periodic values for depreciation etc..
  
  Have experience of humanity this change? Advice, ideas etc. ?

  It is now more clear. I think that your starting point should be ' 08 a spending capital summary - section Details '.
  By changing this form and the attached business rule, you should be able to collect data on expenditures of capital of planners. Within the same business rule, you should be able to map the input data to the balance sheet and cash flow. CAPEX planning must support most of your out-of-the-box requirements, I think.

  There is however another premature condition of the active call and the projects. The challenge with it could be the fact that a project can end up under the name of several capital or several projects of becomes an asset once completed. To meet this requirement, you may need to create a separate dimension of projects. Here is a guideline of the Capex Administrator's guide:

  I would like to know if it is possible to transfer the active items in the INVENTORY module to the module of Oracle stock.

  1. the Distribution account must be active Clearing account set up in the FA Module.
  2. the invoice must be validated and create accounting must be done with the finals and posted to GL.
  3. After completing created the accounting, you must run the program 'Create the mass Addition' to pay.

  See, for example, Re: how to position an asset from the library on the document?, but in short, you place the assets, group them if necessary (several items of assets), and then move it. For example:

  If you set project to execute a contract for a client and you eed to invoice for this customer, project type class must be to contract. Only this class allow to bind procedures to the project, allocating funds from the agreement, enter the budget revenue, provision and generate invoices to Bill the customer.

  If you set a project to build or develop a system that will be used internally and should be capitalized, then the draft class of type i must be Capital. Only capital calss to generate the active lines, combining the active project costs, and interfaing Proejcts Oracle Oracle capital assets.

  If you set a project to perform certain activities that helps the company, where these tasks are considered as reporting to annual expenses, fees generals, then the project should be assigned the class of indirect project type.

  Cost calculation and budgeting of costs can be the same in all classes of project type.

  Hello Terry,

  Locked: Assets included on the company's balance sheet. Capitalized assets depreciate usually. Charged at a cost well clearing account.

  CIP (under Construction): unfinished assets is built, not yet in use and still not be amortized. Once you take advantage of an asset of the CIP, active Oracle starts it depreciate. Charged to a clearing of the construction in progress account.

  Expensed: Elements that do NOT depreciate; the total cost is charged in only one period to an expense account. Active Oracle expensed items titles, but creates no entries for them. Oracle assets do not depreciate assets was expensed, even if him depreciate check box in the books and the mass additions prepare windows is checked for this asset.

• List box and the choice list showing only 25 first items on the list

  Hi people,

  I implemented a component selectOneChoice for locations and a selectOneListbox for asset groups. Two display objects are based on relevant queries. When you try to choose a location, I see only the items in 25 list first in the drop-down list. It's the same thing with the Group of assets held as well. Queries provide a set of data that has more than 25 records of each of the db. Are there property that must be set for these components in JDeveloper? I use Jdev Studio ver 12.1.3.0.0. Please, share your ideas.

  25 is the size of the default range for the iterator.

  Components as selectOneChoice does not support paging so you must set this value-1 (select your iterator pageDef and replace the RangeSize property)

• Missing LifeCycleListener

  I am very new to the development of the MAF, so I apologize if this is a fundamental question, or simple error.  I'm taking the Tablet app Oracle orders of standard work of CAM and make a very simple customizaton - right now, I just try to run in the simulator of the MAO.  I tried to follow Appendix B of the development and customizing Mobile Enterprise Application Guide here.  I got the MAA - M017020.maa file and started an Application of the MAF in the file Archive based on it.  When I run the app in the iOS Simulator, however, he said that no default functionality is specified.  When I look at the application.xml file - MAF, I see an event listener of the life cycle referenced, as in the screenshot on the B3. Generation of a new application to a deployment profile step #18 of the above linked guide, but I can't find this class anywhere in the code. It's as if the LifeCycleListener is missing.  I would have thought that would have been fired the MAA file.  I start with M017020.maa downloaded from the Capital Asset Management Media Pack.

  I would greatly appreciate help or direction to solve problems, solve this problem.

  Hi, Bryan, sounds like it's the shared JDE Modules/libraries were not added in the application.  How the Archive of App JDE is all applications share some common modules that come bundled in JAR files.  When you import the Archives of the App and create a new application on this basis, these shared libraries links are broken and need to be restored (i.e. re - add the JAR files in the app).

  There are two places where you need to add these JAR files: at the level of the Application, and then at the project level ApplicationController.

  One way to tell is look at the maf file - application.xml in the resources of the Application - descriptors - ADF META-INF folder, click on the function references and make sure that all references are resolved properly like this picture below.  If you see an orange rectangle around some traits, then that JAR files are not added correctly.

  In addition, on the point around application lifecycle listener code, it does reference a class which is incorporated into one of these JAR files.  You can't really see the Java source code directly because it is compiled, but it is there.  Please see attached screenshot as well.

• No audio Media plugin using Phonegap Build on Android

  I am building an application that includes reliable audio playback in all of our target platforms and intended to use the media for this task plugin.  I was previously using the native object Javascript Audio, that seemed to work well on some Android devices, but did not work at all on others.  I have implemented the Media plugin in my project, but this day don't have not yet to have successfully play back audio on any of my devices to test and try to identify what I am doing wrong.

  My application should hopefully also run on a desktop browser, so I have a 'phonegap sniffer' in my javascript.  From there, we either start the application on the events of deviceready on mobile devices or document.ready on desktop devices, which seems to work well.

  I'm testing by running Phonegap Dev on an android device connected to Phonegap Office so that I can make use of console.log debug messages.  When I run the application and try to play a sound, I get the following output:

  I have ready in several discussions on the Media on Android plugin requirements of additional paths and believe that I have implemented the recommended solution (by Audio doesn't work for Build Android), but this does not help things.  I have changed the above to:

  It seems that I am getting the same result of error of one of these paths.  I guess that's a path issue but are still to confirm it somehow.  I'm not familiar with how files are built within the app.  Is there a solution for this or can anyone identify what am I doing wrong?  Thanks a lot for any assistance.

  In light of your comment, you use the developer PhoneGap app in your workflow. It is the root of the problem you are experiencing. Using the Desktop App PG or 'phonegap serve' changes nothing (and it should be noted that none of these applications actually build your application.) They serve only the files using a web server.)

  The PhoneGap developer App is the app that run you on your mobile device to connect to PhoneGap Desktop App or "phonegap serving." It comes prebuilt with a selection of plugins, including the Media plugin. So why you can instantiate the class of media and see the properties and methods. Verification of the existence of these properties and methods only serves to check if the plugin is installed, not if the plugin will work correctly.

  In view of your code and the associated error message, you are trying to read a property grouped the app file. When your application is running in the application of the PhoneGap developer, however, no mechanism exists to physically push assets being served in assets grouped Application Developer PG. As a result, demand for game fails because the file is not found.

  A temporary workaround solution just to check that you can, indeed, play a media file would be to change the path to something like this:

      http://dev-machine-IP-address:PG - use-port/www/shuffle.mp3

  However, this is not what you'll want to have long-term in the production code. Instead, you must create a version of your application that you can run it directly (without using the App Developer PG or PhoneGap Serve).

  To do this, you can run (with your Android device, attached and assuming you have the Android SDK installed correctly):

  phonegap $ run android

  This should create a version of your application, including your multimedia files in the bundle and then run it on your device. You should then be able to play multimedia files that you try now.

  Otherwise, you can use the service of Cloud Computing to the PhoneGap Build to create a version of the app:

  Android construction distance phonegap $

  You can download the application resulting on your phone and it should work as well.

  Long-story-short: the developer PhoneGap App isn't a perfect representation of the environment that will receive your built apps. Do not rely on the PG Dev App to simulate an environment perfectly. at one point, the only real criterion is to build your application and install it on a device.

• Stock Items on the work of the costing of the project

  When my company uses project manufacturing with EAM.  When they build capital assets, they enter Oracle EAM and create work orders.  On work, without share capital or the description of the basic elements are entered.   On the PO, they have a destination type of the "workshop".    When received, there will be no any transaction mtl_material_transactions and if I understand correctly, they will not be collected cost and therefore do not appear in the calculation of the costs of the project.

  It is a problem that we need these fees to be transferred to the calculation of the cost of the project so that they can be assigned to an asset in the establishment costs of the project and eventually transferred to assets of the Oracle.

  Anyone has any suggestions on how to manage this?

• Question about the collection of NETWORK adapters for vMotion / VM vSwitch

  We use vSphere Enterprise Edition 5.1.

  We also create separate vSwitch for management / vMotion and VM.

  Each vSwitch receives 2 network cards connected to the different switch for redundancy.

  We would like to know is necessary to provide the collection of NETWORK adapters for these vSwitches?  Currently, only enable us NIC Teaming for VM vSwitch only.

  VSwitch vMotion, we have 2 assigned NIC (nic2 and nic6) with 10 VLANS.  NIC2 and nic6 are connected to 2 different physical switches.

  Should I choose

  (1) both are active

  (2) both are assets + grouping of NETWORK cards?

  Question - if there is only 1 VLAN, it seems that NIC Teaming is also not very useful unless we use 2 VLAN (Multi-NIC vMotion).  Is this right?

  If you use Multi-NIC vMotion, there is no need to have two different VLANS, all you need is depending on configuration

  on your vMotion switch, please create two vmkernel port for vMotion with the same VLAN ID, but the grouping of NETWORK cards as below
