  Forgive me if I have asked this question before. But since I reinstalled Captivate 8 and it runs correctly, I want to make sure I have all good.

  To maintain a system of effective clean files I should have all my Captivate 8 files, as well as external files imported into the same folder as 8 Captivate creates in the preferences? A preference for publish to another folder hiding project... In other words, all these folders and files must be in the same directory?

  N° !!!  Publishing to the folder will have projects, backups. The

  Fiolder cache will be put in the file cache. If all are in the same folder, compensation

  (often necessary) cache will delete all your projects and your backups.

• Adobe Captivate Question 9-Animation (path)

  I am currently working in Adobe Captivate 9 and fight with some paths.  I've got some grouped items (an example: a piece of the puzzle is grouped with a text box) and want to evolve together on a path.  This trajectory looks great in the preview, the preview of HTML5, etc..  However, when I publish it as a file zip for my E-Learning review, it looks nothing like the preview or preview of html5.  The piece of the puzzle is in one place, and the text ends by not moving does not regarding - as they seek is more as if they are grouped.

  In another example of this same question, groups I put movement paths on did not end with the position that they appeared at the end in HTML5 preview or overview screen.

  You cannot apply a trajectory groups? Does anyone else have this problem? How can I solve it?

  You can apply trajectories to groups, but it is a little tricky. It is the focal point of the group following the path.

  Alternatively, you can check your version number? There are questions for the output in the first version. The current version is 9.0.1.320

  Perhaps.  You can try to insert the video as a video synchronized multiple slides (even if it's on a single slide) which will then translate the video editing is locked in the timeline of the slide. You can drag the length of the blade of quiz and set the point of break of the quiz slide to where you want the video to pause.  Try in a quick experimental project and see if it does what you want.  The other way to pause the slide would be to use a smart shape button as other types of interactive objects can be added to the quiz slides.

  Hi all

  I had a problem with files that have been published on an exe using Captivate 5.

  Presentations to launch ok, but if the user presses the enter (or return) key at any point, then the presentation to stop completely.

  It seems to behave similarly if executed on a machine with installed Captivate or on another computer.  There is also no effect where the file is run (Local drive or network)

  I've searched the forums and there seem to be some suggestions, including those at the following addresses

  (The last post seems to be more to do with EXE files which are not at all well, running is not the case in this case).

  Hello Stephan,

  Have you tried to install the latest patch for Captivate 5 of http://www.adobe.com/support/captivate/downloads.html? The blog post directed the EXE not not opening issue also has the fix for the problem you are referring. If installing the patch does not help, please send me a mail to [email protected] and will be considered further.

• Custom icons in Captivate 4 .exe

  I am trying to use a custom icon .exe in Captivate 4. I publish as a .exe. I tried some .ico files, but when I click on publish, I get an error that says "file icon is incorrect, appropriate icon cannot be generated. Do you want to continue? "What is an appropriate icon? Do any of you have successfully assigned a custom to your published executables icon?

• Captivate 5 not made large exe files correctly

  Imported swf files large Captivate separate % (with .wav files) for audio. They all sync on the timeline at 24 fps. for each slide. They look great in the preview and when published on .exe they look good on some computers. But we had at least 1 computer that the sound is out of sync with the video and the video lagging behind.

  Would not have thought that it would be a problem with Captivate 5 exe... Anyone know a solution?

  For preference, I used the Flash Player 9.

  Sounds like the issue was something to do with the specifications or the codecs of the machine having problems.

  The SWF file and you have more video, more machines will have difficulty to deal with decompression cycles.

  The box problem with a lower spec (speed of CPU etc) that plays OK content machines?

  What version of Flash player is on each machine?  (FP 10 handles better video)

  The codecs are updated on this machine?

  Find out what are the differences and you will have your solution.

• Pre-test Question slides crashing my project

  Here is my weekly 8 Captivate question! (I learned to love how it should still be in beta...)

  I want to insert a question slide multiple choice, as a pre-test, but whenever I click on OK, captivate crashes just downright. None of the error messages or the bug report dialog appears, he just died.

  I have restarted the machine several times, and only made sure no other software is running.

  I really want to like Captivate, I do it, so I hope someone can shed some light on this issue, one of the many questions I have met since the purchase of this product.

  * Update - installed the 8.03.290 patch. Now, ALL blocks Captivate! I have no problems with other products Adobe, or any other application.

  You can try if this also occurs in a new project? In this case use the CleanPreferences, please.

• Conversion of Captivate Adobe Captivate 8 to 9 Captivate

  I'm Adobe Captivate 8 tutorials Adobe Captivate 9 conversion. My problem is that once stored in Captivate 9, closed and then reopened all my advanced conditional actions are converted into shares of standard tip and I lost the variable parameters for these actions. The only work around I found was from the initial opening "tutorials" Captivate 8 9 Captivate and recorded as Captivate 9, I have to open each conditional action ahead, add and remove false line and then update the action to advance. I have to do it all advancing stocks. Someone else had this problem?

• Why my captivate button moves when I try to click on it?

  I started a sensitive project, the first Panel has 4 smart shapes, used as buttons, which reveal different States on the Panel.  There is also a button on the first page to advance the project to the second round table, but every time I try to activate it (when previewing or after the publication of the draft) the button moves to the center of the Panel.  Continuing to try to activate the button causes her jump between the center of the page and the location that I put it.  Any ideas why this might happen?

• Problem during the upgrade of Captivate 8 to 9 Captivate projects

  I am trying to edit a project using 9 Captivate that I had previously maintained using Captivate 8.  But something seems to happen to the peak action.

  I've been using a conditional action advanced on the first screen, but after that I open the file and save it with Captivate 9, the tip action stops working properly.  When I looked (no editing has been done to it), it had become a Standard (as opposed to a conditional Action Advanced) tip Action.

  In this photo, I have 8 Captivate and Captivate 9 open at the same time (2 Captivate different files), just so that you can see the differences.

  Initially cela (and others) advanced actions have been created using Captivate 7, but I had no problem once I moved to 8 Captivate.

  

  I wonder if when I first opened a Captivate 8 9 Captivate file, should I go through each advanced action and re - update before I save the file .cptx for the first time in 9 Captivate?

• Captivate patch 9

  Our group was to install the patch 8 Captivate for chrome. We are about to update to Captivate 9 and wonder if we will need to reinstall the patch. Anyone know?

  You can check the version number? It's 8.0.1.242.

  If you don't want to upgrade to CP9, not keep the present 8 version, it should not be necessary. There is already a hotfix for CP9, not a patch, in case you missed it:
