  OK boys and girls, let's see if this is even possible in a course of SCO, or if this solution multi-SCO (which means I'm toast, because we do not have the multi-SCO aggregator)?

  I want to implement a prescriptive pre-test. In my ideal world, the answers to each individual question would either enable or disable the content related to the question slides. If the user passes the pre-test, they might opt to skip the prescriptive stuff and complete the course. If the user fails the pre-test, they should consult the active content.

  Will try to explain how I would try to handle this use case, but I didn't try it!

  • For the first condition, you already have a system variable which can be used in conditional actions to check if the user has passed the pre-test. If you use ordinary question slides, cpQuizInfoPassFail will be set to 1 if it is adopted, the value 0 as var is full only after the last slide in the question. If you use slides before the test, you will need to create a variable user, which you can fill with a tip action, based on the value of cpQuizIntoPretestPointsscored or cpQuizInfoPretestScorePercentage.
  • To follow the questions they did correctly, you must create a variable user for each slide of the issue, default = 0. Based on the system variable cpQuizInfoLastSlidePointScored, which is completed after each slide of the question, you can switch the variable user of the slide of the previous to 1 question if this sys var is greater than 0. This can be done by an action at the entrance to each slide of the question. You will need such action on enter also immediately after the last question slide (maybe on a blade of results, where you can also put the appropriate button to switch the content slides, or offer the possibility to go back).
  • For each slide content you will need another (conditionala tip enter action. Condtion will check the value of cpQuizInfoPassFail (or the equivalent for the slides before the test) AND the value of the var related to this question slide. If both are positive, ignore the slide (go to the next slide), if not, just stay on the slide. That action will be the same for all the slides in content related to a question. But another question, you will need a duplicate, because another user variable will be there. If you use CP7, this is an excellent example for joint actions.

• Pre-test is grayed out

  I am doing a quiz in a pre-test, but the option is grayed out.  Any ideas as to why?

  

  You cannot convert a slide of ordinary matter in a slide before the test, in fact, this drop-down list is a bit confusing.

  Pre-test slides are different "beasts", you must insert them using Quiz, option to insert before the test Question slide. The results of the test are stored in different system Quizzing variables.

  ATTENTION: Playback bar will be turned off for the whole project when using slides of pre-test and navigating with the table of contents also became disabled.

  I created a quiz, but all except a slide is in test mode. Classified is grayed out.  Is there anyway to change it now or should I recreate?

  There is no way to 'upgrade' a question of pre-test to a normal question of graduate, sorry.

• Question slide insert problem in Captivate 9 Responsive Design project

  I'm trying to insert a question after a slide in the project but Captivate keeps placing below the new issue with a pile of other issues in the project. When she did this, I can't move the slide to the post I want to in class stream nor can I move any other current slide. What should I try?

  That's what I did: I deleted the cache. I tried the previous iterations of the project without result. A conditional question: I am not connected to the internet on this computer. which would affect the behavior of classes?

  I don't know if there is any problem with how to set quiz preferences but I don't know that I have not had any problems with the insertion of slides where I wanted them earlier in the development of the project.

  The usual reason for this behavior is that you try to insert a quiz with Questions before the test.  Questions before the test can be placed at the beginning of a lesson BEFORE all other issues for the main quiz quiz.

  Is not possible out of the box with the functionality of pre-test now available. In previous versions, I used question slides custom for this questions that I created using standard objects, where the score has not added to the total of the Quiz but stored in a user variable. But you have no question randomly either, so no possible. Don't see a workaround solution, unless you do not have to report to an LMS. Any questions at random, you have to use the normal question slides. It is possible to keep the score of the 'test' in a separate user variable, making decisions as branching based on this variable, create a slide of score as well for the pre-test and test but what a statement to an LMS that all quiz slides will be considered part of a Quiz and the score will be the total of all the slides in quiz score.

• How to separate the question slides?

  I'm working on a tutorial. I wish it was questions all the tutorial to reinforce what is taught. The order would be kind of like 2 content slides, 2 question slides, 2 content slides, slides of question 2. Unfortunately, all the question slides get mix and cannot be separated even when I try to add two slides in question at the end, they automatically appear just after the first 2 question slides. How can I solve this problem?

  What version do you use? This has been the case in the very old versions, but for some time, you should be able to have the content of the slides between the question slides. Unless you don't talk about normal question slides but pre-test slides: who should be in the sequence at the beginning of the project.

  I use Adobe Captivate 8 and I've added a question 3 before the test.  I edited the first issue and made my questions multiple choice that I went to the second issue of pre-test and that of prestest #1 appears in the pre-test, #2 and #3.  Why - what is duplicate my original question on all the other before the test?  I have no idea how to get rid of on pre-test #2 and #3.

  So weird. Then try: delete preferences. Close the project, locate the CleanPreferences file that is appropriate for your system in the subfolder "Utils" of the captivate installation folder and run it. Then restart Captivate. Are you running it as an administrator (if you are using Windows)?

  I would like to add a button that the user can click on a question slide (a question of a pool slide) to display an image.

  For any question in a pool, use a jump to the slide button that has a return to the quiz button. The slide must be, after all the questions and ignored by the other slides for users not by inside.

  I recently started using Captivate 6 after having previously Captivate 5. I created a project in its entirety with true or false question slides, but when I tested the project I noticed that he'll let me only choose one answer given before continuing. For example if I select false, and then click the button submit, nothing happens, and it does not progress to the next slide, but if I select true and submit, it goes to the next slide in the question. This has happened throughout the project (Six Modules in total) and I can't find a solution. I never had this problem when you use Captivate 5, can someone help me with this?

  You must check for an 'attempt' to this question slide (in the properties of Quiz-> for the purposes of the Action)

  

  If you have infinite or > 1 tent, then the slide will not progress to the next slide.

• Can Captivate 6 reset a simple question slide?

  Captivate 6 has the ability to reset a simple question slide?  I know I could use the widgets for custom (via this discussion http://forums.adobe.com/message/4349072) questions, but I wanted to see if it's built-in to COP6.

  Structure of CBT (simplified example)

  Cover the slide list sections A, B, C, with "Show Me" and "Test me".

  1-10 of slides: demonstration, section a.

  11-20 of slides: demonstration, section B

  21-30 of slides: Demonstraction, section C

  Slide 31: Question for the section slide has

  : Slide 33 Question for section C

  If a user forgets the question in section A, they are sent to revise section A again.  At the end of section A, the learner is sent to slide 31, question slide A section (using variables to know that they already do not have the issue once).

  Problem: When they are referred to the section a question, he does not answer them.

• New to Captivate quiz question slide only to display the gray

  I use the version of Captivate 5.5 test. I have experimented with the creation of projects and additions slides, and everything works until I try to create a Quiz. Although the question slides are inserted, all the slides are empty except for a gray rectangular area on each slide of the question; no example of text or anything (which is what I was expecting, based on the tutorials I've read). When I double-click the gray area, nothing happens. The property Quix box identifies the slide such as appropriate (e.g., Multiple choice questions) question, but there is no way to add a real question or answers to the slide. Anyone know what is happening?

  

  FYI - I restarted my computer and now the Quiz slides are working.

  Problem: how to have an overview of the effects (such as drop shadow) applied to the objects (jpg) on a question slide.

  Situation: Quiz to tell 5 random questions drawn from a pool of 50 questions multiple choice.

  
  Questions pool Panel:
  I'm building the Quizzing question slides workspace.
  I can view the slide and add questions and answers + jpg images that may be necessary.

  If I want to add a shadow to an image, I select the object (img) and place you in the effect controls panel.
  I add a drop shadow and can make adjustments, BUT the effect is not visible on the slide.

  
  The Live Preview button is grayed out and unavailable.

  
  Overview of the toolbar options are...
  F3 slide... Does not show the effect.
  F4 project... would take too long AND would be not safe to view the slide at which I had added the image effect.
  F12 browser... shows the entire project with 5 random questions but not necessarily the specific slide.

  Am I on the Filmstip Panel:
  There are several options preview...
  F8 this slide... If I select a blank Question slide at random, it shoots a question of the pool of 50, but not necessarily that I'm working on.
  F10 then 5 slides... same problem as F8

  Unacceptable workaround solution:
  I can create another pool 'test', containing one question.
  Copy slides edited to "test the pool and the preview with F8 or F10.
  A lot of extra work...

  Then the effect works and would weigh on the finished quiz... BUT... I can't (without a lot of P'ing on) Preview and adjust effects applied to a question slide.

  If you want to test the effects on a particular slide of your pool of the Question, and you don't want to publish all slides to see it, just click with the right button on the slide in the question pool and select move Question to > the project main.

  Then, you will be able to preview the effects as with any other slide.  When you know that the slide is over, just get him back in the Question pool.

• How to do a pre Test in Captivate 4

  I am currently research in Captivate 4 buying at work, which should be our new E-learning development tool. One of the features offered by our current development tool is the 'test '.   Already posted a small response this morning when I was in College, but see now that has not happened.

  It is not so easy to make and pretty hard to explain. Would be easier with an example, but it will give a try with text and photos first.

  1. You will need to create your legitimate question slides. In my example I had simple yes/no questions, so I had to create Yes and issues of non-boutons on each slide. I wanted to give immediate feedback to the user; That's why I've created two text captions (one for the answer-Yes) and another for non-response, initially hidden on the question slide.
  2. To store the response of the user (yes/no), I created a user for each question slide variable (e.g. v_question1 v_question2...). In my case, this variable could have two possible values: 1 or 0. When the user has clicked the Yes button, a tip action was performed: the user variable has been set to 1 and the right text caption has been demonstrated. The user should then click a button "Next" to proceed to the next question. A similar tip action was triggered by clicking on the button, where the user variable has been set to 0 and the other illustrated text caption
  3. When all the question slides are complete, the user can slide "menu. I show not all 'modules' initially with a button, used to access the right slide. Triggers a tip action, entering into this slide, I have check user variables and I shows according to their value (value = 0) or hide (value = 1) the button right of the module.
