Card SIM not detected blackBerry Smartphones
Since the application of the first PRIVATE update we continue to receive message SIM card not detected. Seems to drift in and out of the connection to the cellular network. What could be the problem? Jumping is not a behavior even so the Rogers network signal is fine.
Obviously seems to have worked - remove the SIM and put it again.

Card memory removal of blackBerry Smartphones
How to remove the memory card? I'm not sure how.
If you mean the micro sd card, take the back off and you will see a small 'tag' that hold the card in place on the underside, using a nail or a similar move the label to the bottom of the phone and the card going to the left

MicroSD card from removal of blackBerry Smartphones
I'm the only person who can easily remove media card? I have to use tweezers. I hope that if I get a big enough card I won't have to do it too often, but it seems a clumsy drawing.
It seems stupid to do it because there is a dedicated MicroSD card door, but if you remove the cover and turn the door up it is easier to remove. At least it avoids the problem a bit...

Hi Bbnoviceja
Welcome to the Forums of the BlackBerry Support
Regarding your backup problem, plug your device and run BlackBerry Desktop Software for windows in the office software click Devive > delete data > data choose selected > scroll social power database > mark it and whose losses. Once this part is deleted, try to perform a full backup.
KB29522 : "Backup of database error" message is generated to Database Options smart card when you back up the smart phone BlackBerry with the BlackBerry Desktop Software
Regarding your second question with memory, remember that you have the memory card and then try to transfer these multimedia files from your device to your media card memory:
KB05478 : , transfer files between the card and device memory on a BlackBerry smartphone
Or:
KB29523 : How to manually transfer files between a Windows computer and a smart phone BlackBerry

Thank you best regards &,.
SandraHello!
There are three types of potential memory on a BB: 1) application memory, the device memory) 2 and 3) Media/SD Card Memory.
Application memory - it is the most important; It is protected (not available to the user), dedicated and (fixed size) space as the destination for the installation of applications (more a few storage applications, overhead and other costs). You can't touch AppMemory. You cannot improve the maximum AppMemory that your BB has. It is what it is. Applications can install only here... There is no other choice.
The device memory - it is space on your BB you can touch these files, images, media, etc. In general, it is not very big, but it is available.
Memory card SD/Media- is what it says... your SD card to store files, media, photos, etc.. It can be as large as your BB OS can support... see this KB:
- KB05461 Sizes of card MicroSD taken in charge by the BlackBerry device software
On some devices/OS levels, you can see 'Free file' (Options > status), I think this is equivalent to AppMemory. You can see on other devices, all the memory usage levels three (Options > memory). Here are some tips to use:
- KB02843 What is the function of low memory manager on the BlackBerry smartphone
- KB14320 How to maximize space and power battery life on the BlackBerry smartphone
- KB14213 Call logs, SMS text and email messages are deleted from the BlackBerry smartphone
Finally, it is always important to correctly close applications when you are finished with them. Using the back or on the red button won't do that - those leave the app to decide what to do... and some let themselves memory-resident, consumes resources on your BB, slowing down the overall performance. On the contrary, to close an application, tap on and select 'Close' or 'Quit'... which force the application to be closed, freeing resources for your new use it consumed. Some applications will always be running (in general - BBMessenger, browser, homescreen, phone and Messages)... but, you should always close them properly - especially the browser... If we leave on a web page, it will not consume only additional resources, but the power of the battery as well.
In addition, each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy. Some have taken to do this on a regular basis as a preventive measure... some as often as once a day. Others got the app QuickPull to automate a simulated Batt Pull.
Good luck!

BlackBerry Smartphones can not access Media card with BB Desktop or Media Sync 9700
The other day I received a Reburbed Bold 9700 update.
I use Ver 6 Deskstop OS and the 9700 is running device code latest version 5.
I have a Kingston 4 GB media card that I know is in place because the 9700 recognizes it and when I go to files and select the media card, I can see all the files on the card and when I take a picture it is written on the card so I know that memory is very good and he sees the 9700.
The problem I have is BB Deskstop or latest version of Media Sync to see so I can transfer files to and from my PC and the media card.
The error message that I receive on the two applications, it's that I have to turn on mass storage Mode. When I look at my memory settings:
Compression - enabled
Map of media Support - on
Mass Storage Mode Support - on
Auto enable mass storage Mode when connected - Yes
I formatted the card successfully on the BB.
I tried another card memory (2 GB) and also properly formatted as well.
I also tried another USB cable into another USB port.
I had a BB hard reset by pulling on the battery... several times.
I had another before Blackberrys and have never had a problem of access to the media card. I would have thought that it is easier on the 9700.
I did search endlessly on the Web and saw other people with similar problems but many were so simple that the card is not seated properly and it also had the symptom that the BB is not recognizing the media card. My BB recognize media cards and use them, but I can't access the card through my PC. I understand that I may not see a pendrive pop up in Windows Explorer, but I can't understand why the BB Desktop or Media Sync cannot access.
I know that both of these applications communicate to the BB cause I get requests for passwords and the desktop, I can view all my applications and I used to update the device until the last OS level during the troubleshooting process.
I just wanted to see if anyone has experience this problem and has tips, if not I will contact AT & T or go into a local store to see if they can help. I just think I'm missing something that I can take care off instead of my own.
Thank you!
Hello
Have you tried to connect the device on another computer? If another computer to recognize the device, it may just be a case of bad USB drivers on your computer.
Here are some KB articles that may be able to help:
KB19717 - BlackBerry smartphone is not detected as a USB mass storage device when connected to a computer
KB10312 - impossible to display the map of support using the BlackBerry smartphone
You also need to remove the USB ports on your computer (using Device Manager), and then restart the computer to reload the correct drivers.
An alternative to this is to simply use a microSD card reader which allows you to use the microSD as a flash drive.
I hope that this info is another starting point for you!
