  Hello, I need a little help on upgrading the ram for dv4-2145dx I need to know two things, first of all, I tried to unscrew the memory or cover plate but so far, that the coverage is not just comes off and it just makes a noise clicky of sorts even if I had to unscrew and so I can't access or replace the RAM modules. Second type of add-on memory ddr2 can I use with this laptop can be 667 or 800 or less.   Hey thanks Big Dave your trick to fight against the removal of the cover of the ram or plate has worked like a charm also by doing the same trick I could access the wwan module that seems to need a sim card and the radio module and if you have any idea where I can get these parts please let me know as I am looking to move to 6 GB of ram due I have windows 7 64 bit, but so far, I have to admit that, with only 4 GB of RAM for the operating system works quite ok.   I received an email marketing CF11 today from Adobe with the subject: "Adobe ColdFusion 11: much more to discover!  So I clicked on the link at the bottom for white papers and other resources.  I was surprised, there is no data sheets, whitepapers or anything about CF11 here Data sheets and white papers | Adobe ColdFusion 11 family.  Why not?  Makes it seem like Adobe doesn't care.  It is particularly odd given that it is in an email promo specially for CF11 asking me to 'explorer', but there is nothing to explore.  It's comments to the Adobe marketing.  Thanks for listening.

• 8200 elite format microtour, need of care technique for card mother/PSU

  Hello.

  I'm upgrading of the power supply in my Hp Compaq 8200 Elite format microtour.

  The /PSU motherboard uses an archaic connector that looks like a connector 6-pin inline with to the (http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b225/r4ch3t/Aux-connector-148x200.gif). But it is connected with 4 wires (red/white, white, green, purple)

  To upgrade the PSU, I need to find a way to connect it to the new motherboard, but I can't find any information or datasheet for the motherboard or the power supply.

  My cpu is just out on this laptop and the tech said it would cost too much difficulty and that it would be better to just get a new laptop. I ordered a new laptop and my question is can I take my hard drive off the broken one and transfer the information I have on my new computer? I was told there were maps and boxes of hard drive I could buy for it but do not know what to look for and those who would collaborate with the specs on this laptop. • Mode problem, freezes or crashes sleep when windows opens again

  The problem I have with the pavilion DV4-2145DX , approximately 12 months, using windows 7 is when I close the lid or put in "standby mode", now and then the window opens but the internet does not, nor all the other icons.

  When I go to restart it, the closure does not work so I stop hard.

  When it restarts all works well again.

  When I shut down normally and re start the computer no problem at that time.

  Any ideas please.

• Can I use the HP Recovery partition after formatting and partitioning the rest of the hard drive?

  I recently had my HP Pavilion dv4 2145dx laptop (Windows 7 64-bit) go kerput.  The Geek Squad said that the motherboard is dead.  I bought a laptop and I use this one for now, and I use the former dv4 as external hard drive.

  I intend to continue to use the hard drive from the old dv4 as an external unresolved for now, but I wish we could fix the dv4 at some point in the future.  Here's the problem: to get the most out of the former dv4 as external drive, I want to repartition it so that there is an NTFS partition and one HFS partition +.  This way I could easily use it with my Mac and Windows machines.

  But if I do that, I'm not sure if the image of HP recovery would continue to operate.  If it does not, then if/when I get the old dv4 a new motherboard, I couldn't restore the operating system from the recovery partition.  It is a problem, because I have not create recovery disks (stupid, I know - I'm definitely making them for the new machine).

  So, I want to do these two things:

  (1) create my dv4 recovery disks.  Can I do this if the dv4 drive is mounted in an external enclosure?

  (2) format and partition the drive dv4 (the leaving intact recovery partition) and later to recover the system from the recovery partition.  The recovery partition would continue to operate in these conditions?

  What you do to the C:\drive will make the ineffective recovery partition.

  You will not be able to create a set of recovery discs unless the drive is usable in Notepad.

  Can you still read all 25 characters of your product key of W7 on the bottom of your laptop broken?

  If so, you can do this...

  If you can read the Microsoft windows 7 25-character product key, you can download simple Windows 7 ISO files to burn on a DVD for the version of windows that is installed on your PC, and which is listed on the Microsoft COA sticker on your PC case.

  Burn the ISO with the option to burn the ISO on your DVD burning program and burn it at the slowest possible speed that will allow your program. This will create a bootable DVD.

  Or use the installation of Windows 7 USB/DVD tool to compile the ISO file that you download from Digital River. Link and instructions below. You need a 4 GB flash drive to use the USB compilation method.

  Use 25 characters on the PC product key to activate the installation.

  The key will activate a 32 or 64 bit installation.

  Then go to the support of the PC and driver page to install the drivers you need.

The OS just me in connecting to a profile temporary and said "try to connect later. I rebooted the computer since then. The system allows me to type my password with the profile picture on the Windows login screen, but it always puts me in a temporary profile.

  For some reason any, that your user profile is damaged, the fastest way to recover is to try a previous restore point or create a new user account and migrate the old to the new. Remove the old user account after you are satisfied with the other, a week or two later.

  The inevitable death of my laptop battery occurred. I was getting an hour of battery with the ch - 484171-001 battery life, the 6 cell battery factory HP. I have to buy a new battery. My question is there an update available?  Or am I stuck with a spare identical (6-cell) battery which will only give the laptop of the same autonomy of recharge for an hour. Is there a heavier more 10/08/12 battery compatible with this format or - 6 cells is what's my phone, and that's what I have to replace it with.

  My HP Dv4-2145dx said to replace the internal battery (error code 601)-j' did.  Is she still displays the error and stops automatically, if not plugged into the wall.  Everything which the ideas going on here?  The external battery is fully charged.
