Carillon of boot loop - start 2011 MBP will not start.
I have a start 2011 15 "MBPro8, 2
Quad Core Intel Core i7
2.30 GHz
Boot ROM version: MBP81.88Z.0047.B2A.1506082204
Intel HD Graphics 3000 VRAM:512 MB
AMD Radeon HD 6750M VRAM:1 GB
8 GB of RAM 1333 MHz DIMM0
It will not start. Trying to start the machine, it enters a loop-
1. startup chime
2. grey screen with Apple
3. the small wheel starts to turn under the Apple
4. the screen goes black
... and the cycle starts over.
The computer does not start in Mode safe. In an attempt to safe mode the loop above has the addition:
3. a progress bar is displayed but does not progress.
I have reset the PRAM
It will start up in target Mode, so I was able to recover data
In target Mode, I was able to run first aid utility on the drive. This has not fixed the problem.
I can hold down the Option key and see Macintosh HD and the recovery Partition. If I try to boot from the recovery partition, I get the same loop.
I can start in the Test of online material, which revealed no material problems
I can boot in Verbose mode and it always happens in the same place
Execution fsck_hfs (version 226.1.1 of hfs)
BootCacheControl: cannot open /var/db/BootCache.playlist: 2 no such file or directory
' ' It would be possible for me to insert the "var/db/BootCache.playlist" file using target disk mode?
Other thoughts?
Check Google for this error, it seems to be common.
Apparently the startup configuration file is corrupted. These 2 articles can be useful:

Vista will not start. Yesterday I had a remote assist of a tech trade SPS who took several Java updates and installed the recommended Java version. Until I left work the day I closed my computer so that he could install the updates from Microsoft. After the updates were finished I he turned and left for the day. When I arrived this morning, I had was a black screen and 2 lines of text following: 'Verifing DMI pool data' and 'Boot from CD' and a cursor flashing beneath them. I downloaded and executed a Western Digital utility that showed no problems with the hard drive, put in on the installation disc repair service is no error. I did a system restore to a point since yesterday morning, and Vista still does not start. Any ideas or suggestions?
Hi JohnHorky,
Step 1:
First check and make sure that all physical connections on the computer are correct.
Step 2:
Alternatively, you can try to run a Checkdisk and check.
a. Insert the installation disc.
b. restart your computer.
c. click on the Start button, click the arrow next to the button lock and then click on restart. If you are prompted, press any key to start Windows from the installation disc.
d. choose your language settings, and then click Next.
e. in the System Recovery Options menu, click command prompt
f. at a command prompt, type the following command and press ENTER
Chkdsk /f /r X: (drive letter)
Note: When you run the checkdisk, there are risks of data loss you can take a backup before starting the checkdisk.
g. press y when you are prompted to check the drive the next time the system restarts.
h. close all applications and restart the computer.
Note: When you run the disk check, there are chances of losing data if you can take a backup before starting the checkdisk.
Step 3:
Check if the automatic hard drive in the BIOS (Basic Input/output System) is enabled and save settings and check if it works. If it doesn't, contact the manufacturer of the system for more support options.
I also suggest that you install the latest update of the basic system of input/output (BIOS) on the computer by contacting the manufacturer of the computer and check if it helps.
Important: Change to the BIOS/complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Changes to settings are at your own risk.
Hope this information is useful.

Update of the early 2011 4 GB to 8 GB MBP - will not turn on
I've recently updated the machine from 4 GB to 8 GB (matched and equal) using Patriot series Memory Mac.
When I fill the MBP with two 4 GB modules, it lights up. Even after Resetting PRAM and SCM.
When I use a 4 GB and 2 GB it motorized, boot, zips through automatic the veg-onve all made possible a mating, including the location of outlet
(high or low) so I know the new memory works.
It seems to be a fairly large contingent of others with the same problem. It is hard to believe that i cannot find a single thing about a solution.
If all the spec sheets for inside Apple and reviews professional outdoors, request my machine is capable of 8 GB, so I want the full functionality of 8 GB that I'm supposed to have.
My guess is that it's a pretty wide spread problem, Apple has to know the solution, and it is not one that they can actually offer the market. While they are waiting to suck us just happy.
Frustrated is understatement
No, Windows 7... DOH. El Capitan... all updates installed. OT sure version.

Retina MBP will not start.
My MBP retina refuses to start.
I already erased disc. Reinstalled system. Repaired permissions.
None of this has worked.
Sometimes (I'd say 1-10 departures) Apple icon but the system does not completely load.
My interpretation is a problem of access to the data on the SSD drive.
It of a mid 2012 retina model 10, 1.2.6GHz Intel Core i7, 8 GB of RAM.
This is Kernel Panic.
Can anyone help?
Thank you very much.

Windows Essentials SBS 2011 Dashboard will not start on the client computer
The dashboard on our Windows Essentials 2011 Server works as expected when run on the server, but linking the dashboard from the dashboard on any client computer guests of identification; the window of the Remote application appears, then quickly closes. and the login window times out and closes. No error, it just closes. The dashboard was working on client machines but has not recently. I need to work because we need restore a database on a client computer. I need to solve this problem quickly. Any help would be appreciated.

My loop is simple but will not work!
Hello. I'm having a lot of trouble.
I have a simple loop which goes through and sets a disabled button if its value is the database. The code is below:
DECLARE
benchmark(loop_count,expression) NUMBER (2): = 1;
seat_count NUMBER (2);
item_id;
Item1 VARCHAR2 (5): = 'SEAT_;
nom_element VARCHAR2 (10);
BEGIN
LOOP
SELECT COUNT (*) IN seat_count
SEAT WHERE showid =: global .showid
AND seatnumber = benchmark(loop_count,expression);
IF seat_count = 1 THEN
nom_element: = item1 | benchmark(loop_count,expression);
item_id: = FIND_ITEM (item_name);
set_item_property (item_id, Enabled, PROPERTY_FALSE);
END IF;
IF benchmark(loop_count,expression) = 99 THEN
EXIT;
END IF;
benchmark(loop_count,expression): = benchmark(loop_count,expression) + 1;
END LOOP;
END;
When I run the form, I get 3 guests in a line saying "FRM-41045: can not find the point: invalid ID '.
If I change the value of
tem_id: = FIND_ITEM (item_name); TO
item_id: = FIND_ITEM ('SEAT_10');
for example, he will work on "SEAT_10" and will disable her, but cannot do through the variable and the loop.
Everyone see anytihng wrong with what I wrote?
Tahnks a lot

What is the result of the sql query by operating in sql developer?
From your code, it seems that you must have the items SEAT_1, SEAT_2... SEAT_99 in your form.
Do you have the number of elements in your form?
If the values are not there it will give you "article not found".
You must also maintain in your code, if the element is present or not using something like below after your find_item:
item_id := FIND_ITEM(item_name); IF Id_Null(item_id) THEN Message('No such item: '||item_name); RAISE Form_Trigger_Failure; ELSE set_item_property(item_id,ENABLED,PROPERTY_FALSE); END IF;
It will be useful.

Boot Camp keyboard and trackpad will not work. They do in Fusion
Hello
I have a problem with my VM ware / boot camp of activation. I have a Boot Camp partition on my Macbook Pro. I am able to boot the disc using the fusion, but when I try to use Boot Camp coming to the windows activation screen and my keyboard and mouse do not work so I can't press the button to continue. I tried to boot into safe mode on boot camp and the keyboard and mouse are not recognized either. I tried to plug in a keyboard and a USB mouse generic and is not no longer works. I am running XP pro (not OEM version).
Does anyone have any suggestions on a cure?
Hi tsugua,
This sounds like it may be more than one Apple, or Microsoft problem. However, my recommendation would be to ensure that the leopard drivers have been properly installed. To install the insert drivers your Leopard installation disc and run the setup.exe if is not autorun. So, make sure you run software updates of the Mac OS to ensure you have the latest version of the Bootcamp drivers.
Let me know if this helps.

Windows Home Server 2011 - QuickSync will not work
Hi guys,.
I installed WHS2011 and all of the latest drivers, but I can't QuickSync running. I use Media Converter 7.5 but no hardware acceleration can not be verified.
I have...
P8H77 I have motherboard
IvyBridge Intel 3450 CPU
4 GB mem
60 GB SSD for the OS.I had a HARD drive, so I installed Win7Pro and Quicksync works fine so I know that this is not a hardware problem to spare. The only thing I can think is WHS2011 is not compatible with Intel Quicksync or I do not have the right drivers for whs2011.
All latest drivers have been downloaded from the website of Intel for Windows Server 2008 R2 or Win7 64-bit. If nothing available for WS2008R2 then I'd use Win7.Anyone had this problem before or knows a solution?
Thank you, Neil.Hello

Will not respond XPS 15 F8 key to restore factory image
Have a XPS L501X 15 I'm cleaning up to part with. Have all my personal data offshore and uninstalled all the software, which I have added. Went to my Dell online manual for restoring factory image whose starting point was to press the F8 key when the Dell logo appears, to access the advanced boot options. Have done so several times during the past 20 years with my Dell computers, usually F2 for access settings. This computer works well when I hit F2 for Setup and F12 for boot options. But he will not answer the F8 key to bring up the options of early start had to do the original image. Have tried 30 times or almost and it just keeps loading windows. y at - it another way to access this screen, or something else I can try. I have had no other problems with the computer. Ran the Dell hardware diagnostics and everything this past... Loooked in the D partition and it appears the Dell image restore files are all there, I just can't get the F8 to get to them. I made no changes or done anything with the D partition, and the hard drive is the original.
You must press F8 several times similar to what I've done here:

I use firefox, but I can't use another browser, since I'm stuck in this process of learning more and an endless loop of postings that will not validate... help! did I mention that it's VISTA.
Do you by any chance use Avast?

Can't reinstall Vista. Because Vista will not get to the Setup screen.
Hi people. Got a prob a little. Vista stopped booting the other night. So, I tried safe mode, and it hung on crcdisk.sys. So, I decided to get in shape. Problem is, it will boot from the DVD, but will not load / access the Setup screen (I waited for 7-8 minutes and nothing's happened, shows just the thing with the green bar).
Not too sure if it's because the hard drive is 1 TB (but Vista was on the same front hdd with Windows 7). I tried to remove the 2 GB of ram (I use 4). No go. Tried another DVD rom, not go. Removed USB devices that have been connected. No go. I know that the DVD itself is fine. I tried on the other PC here, the installation screen came within 2-3 minutes. But his is not a 1 to (its 250 GB) the only DVD that will work / I install is the Windows 7 DVD. So, how can I reinstall Vista?
I deleted all partitions / recreated with the Win7 installation as well. Still couldn't get Vista to get to the Setup screen
Any info appreciated
Thank you
Finally fixed it. I read that USB legacy can also cause this. So, I disabled it. Everything is good. Managed to get to the Setup screen, then reinstall Vista

Early 2011 MBP 15 "dual SSD - lost with boot camp edition
Hello community!
I lost my mind with boot camp troubleshooting during the last week. This is going to be confused reading, but I'm afraid I got worse... So please try to face me.
Starting point - of course I can install Windows 10 on my MBP 2011 early!
Material
Early 2011 MBP 15 "with Intel HD 3000 and AMD Radeon HD 6750M
and the optical drive, replaced by an other SSD with a caddy
Of course, I didn't have an optical drive on the spot so I realized that I need to install to get the option to boot from USB - I did find. I managed to make a bootable USB from. ISO with UNETBOOTIN. First of all, I got score of huge problems with that I finally managed to Dodge with diskpart - software on Windows Installer USB after NVRAM reset before each attempt to install with CMD + Option + P + R, I had to also remove the OSX SSD during the installation of VICTORY for everything the world some boring as Windows could not update the configuration to start the computer. Unable to continue installation -problem.
After all:
-> I managed to install WIN10 on my MBP education
-> A lot of festivities fun! < 3
-> After installing the bootcamp drivers all active windows went to "invisible desktop on the left" (I closed the other workstations...) where I managed to lift one of the windows on the central office with lucky and "move" action (I have no idea...)
-> after reboot apparently drivers Intel HD 3000 went haywire and I got black screen on black with details in black (black screen Uni)
Conclusion: I try Windows 8.1 (pro) because at least he is supported by my Mac AND it has same installation and should work.
At one point I tried to use my old drive via USB to install Windows 7 and 8.1 pro
-> PROBLEM CDBOOT: couldn't find the BOOTMGR
-> I moved along back USB and WIN8.1
8.1 Windows Pro was installed easily, with the same procedure. When running boot camp display drivers turns black during the "Intel - graphic" installation period. I can confirmed that starting mode safe mode when the screen works, but I can't install Catalyst drivers-> so I can not play games that was the only reason for dual boot. In addition, there is no sound. So lack of drivers: no picture, no sound.
There... I think I forgot to say something. I was hoping just that if someone could help me with this problem. I lose my head here. I have not really direction where to go next, but I have a few options I can try after that I understand my morale of my troops.
- Remove my boot OS X SSD, switch my SSD Windows instead of him and put my Superdrive. So I would basically just install windows. Earlier, I had 8 windows work via the DVD and bootcamp.
- Try to play with the drivers on Win8.1 more
- Reinstall windows. There may be something wrong with my. ISO or USB?
- Delete the EFI to correct CDBOOT?
Thank you in advance!
You must use Bootcamp Assistant for everything, including the form/partitioning implementation and the removal of partitions...
I would like to reformat the second SSD (on which should be installed W10) with diskUtility. Then start bootcampassistant on SSD1 and do all this.

HD will start another mbp, but not its own
I asked this question earlier but with no resolution. Then I will try again but more simply asking.
Here goes:
I have a 2010 mbp that works very well. I have an another 2011 mbp which does not start. It is suspended on a progress bar of the half.
Notes on the 2011:
-hd has been cleared with a clear three-pass. New El Capitan installed.
-new RAM chips from Crucial
-safe mode does not start
-verbose mode does not start
-single-user mode does not start
-utility mode does not start
SATA cable - is not the issue. A good known was traded with no effect.
* If removed from the computer, the drive 2011 will start the 2010 via usb.* *.
From there, I ran disk on her utility (el capitan) and happens without any problem.
A spanking new SSD has been installed inside the 2011 and does not start the 2011 under any mode.
I think it is safe to assume that the SSD and HDD of 2011 are working very well.
What could be another that I can test?
Logic board failure?
If the logic board, is there a test I can run using the 2010?
Thanks in advance for any input on this head-scratcher...
You better Genius Bar appointment to show the circumstances you are facing with now.

HD will not start from host organization but will be of a different MBP
((Two Mbit/s: 1) mid 2010 i5 model 1) Middle model i7 2011.
From here, I will call them as "i5 and i7.
The i7 was having starting problems. The taskbar would charge about 2/3 of the way in which it would "hang up" then the screen turns off. Unsuccessfully trying to boot in safe mode. Verbose mode would freeze as well. Tried the single user mode and run ' fsck - fy "and it made no difference. No idea how fix permissions with the utility El Capitan disk but I'm not sure it would make a difference. Doesn't it?
I then did a backup/clone of the i7 to a new external storage disk. All programs and files are successfully transferred.
Then I wiped the i7 with a clear three-pass and reinstalled OSX.
Error #1) I have not test to see if the hd now Virgin began its host computer before you restore the old files.
Error #2) I put the clone on the i7 copy using Super Duper.
When installing the i7 to its host computer, it wouldn't boot in any mode just as before.
* Comment: The i7 will start the i5 laptop when connected via USB in system preferences > startup disk.
I am currently using the i7 connected to the external i5 as I type this.
Disk utility has been run on the i7 at this point by indicating zero problems.
Onyx has been run through all the options and check marks with no problems.
Always the i7 will not start its host computer.
I am very confused.
Issues related to the:
(1) why/how this phenomenon occur?
(2) in making the i7 clone for external storage, if there was a hidden virus or something on the i7 origin, is the now compromised storage device?
I read it twice and I'm still a little confused.
When you cloned the i7, you do it from the other computer?
I get the i7 disc starts from the i7 computer when it is connected to the outside. Is this correct?
If the player starts in an external of the i7 box, but not in the computer the case most likely is the SATA cable to the hard drive.
Try to replace.

Windows XP media center keeps going in a loop and will not complete the boot.
Rebooted PC, probably because of an update, but I also dropped the mouse wireless in the word, and I don't know if that's the problem. To start Windows and I have three choices, but if I choose safe, last known config, or normal mode, it ends the countdown and starts, but loops to the same black screen that has the countdown. Help! Thank you very much.

Ideas:
- You have problems with programs
- Error messages
- Recent changes to your computer
- What you have already tried to solve the problem
the problem is known as "boot loop" and it is generally caused by a lack of disk and file system tune up
There are commands that can be executed in the disk prompt that will help stabilize the boot process.
However, you need to start with any xp cd and launch the recovery console to log on to the disk system.
then the disc prompt, run the following commands >:
Chkdsk
Fixboot
FIXMBR
(the fixmbr will provide a serious warning, but you can ignore the scarecrow)
then the output, remove cd and the system should be able to boot normally again.
