• Speed up the image / page load

  I did a remake of the site for my business.  I'm an amateur web person - not my part-time work full-time here.  My boss wanted a lot of images.  -Now that we have them, he said that the page takes too long to load.  For directions on how to get the images / page load faster?  The model I according to the site has a front loader of ajax, but apparently not actually preload all images.  The galleries still take some time to load when you see them.  The site is up to http://www.morgansmithllc.com.  Any suggestions on how to accelerate things that a fan of DW user can implement?  Thank you!

  It's one of the downfalls of a unique layout. In this type of layout, everything must be loaded because everything exists on the same page.

  So, I tried running your page through some analyzers and found there are a few very large files that are used.  The backgrounds are enormous and could probably be more compressed.  Right now, your first 6 images are 10 MB of 20 + MB size of the page which is too much.  Also, I see a lot of Parallax javascript drag.  Just because a Web site is a single page does not mean that it must be a site of parallax.  In fact, for this type of site, I would recommend removing the Parallax because there is no need for this.

  If you simplify the site in this way, which should help a good deal with loading and scrolling speed.

  If you open the Management Console IIS, go to the site you want to check, more on the right where are the actions to stop and restart there is a link "trace request failed. Click here to open and activate it.

  I tried, for almost two months, to convert/create my 7 books that are printed in electronic books; with the first edition had to be Nook, with Kindle on the list. Unfortunately, I am still working on just get the first one published! And I could really use any assistance to get this figured out. My intention was to publish several weeks ago... now my despair must publish before the weather gets too hot and the children are outdoors most of the time... or at least not later than Easter.   First of all, my books are books of photo/poetry for children of all ages. They were all designed in Photoshop, where I also created images full size for the first eBook. I received the specifications of B & N for the different devices of Nook. In the assumption that it would be better to create the largest files, thus allowing smaller size devices to fit the page accordingly to fit and the most important would not encumber a smaller image, I size my pages to 1280px x 1920px at 72 dpi. (now I hear 150 is standard?)

  My text is included in the image that design is an image = a single page. I've included a version only the full text of the poem/story at the end for those who want to set the text or use a voice reader. I obviously all original, but for the publication they were all saved as jpg.

  After a fight and a lot of frustration, I managed to finish the manuscript for Barnes and Noble Nook press Manuscript Editor. My internet is molasses and so much of this has been done in the wee hours of the morning when the rest of the time zone is asleep.   So my first question is: is it possible to place an image at 100% without having to do this step further resizing? Or is there another way to place the image in the size of the page without any of these other measures that would be too good.

  Well, after placing several pages/images I have also selected each and went to Options of Export Object and checking the rasterization of Custom and "resize to text Flow.  I then exported ePUB trial to see how it would look. On the PC and tablet in landscape mode it was far better than the other, but about oh 1/3 from the bottom of each page was cut. On the Tablet, I turned to portrait and voila full page. Woohoo! But alas, I don't want to limit it.

  is there something I am doing wrong? Did I miss a step or two somewhere so that the complete picture should appear on the page? I feel like I'm about to turn the page on this thing, but he's stuck in the one after that.

  I would greatly appreciate any insight, advice, help anyone can offer. I ran the gauntlet of Barnes and Noble... cough, cough... support and apparently I ask questions that cannot respond to any press corner rep and the forums out there have no idea about InDesign. It's almost like with all fantastic beautiful screens out there today nobody wants to picture books! How National Geographic?

  In case it is necessary: my laptop using Window 7 64 bit Pro, InDesign CC is 64-bit and my 10.1 Android tablet. I can view the EPUB files in the corners for PC and Nook for Android. I also have a Kindle, LumiRead and various other applications on the tablet. I also have someone get a glimpse of the finished epub, if needed, on a Mac, iPad, or Android phone... even if I don't have not one of these. Don't know who has a corner I can look good.   Here I think you want your images to fit within size full page automatically. For this, you can try the following steps:

  1. create a new doc

  2. menu Goto object, and then choose image mount options

  3. Select adjust automatically and fitting drowdown, select "adjust the content to the frame. See the screenshot below:

  

  After that, your images should adjust automatically in full page placeholder images. Please let me know if this does not work or if the problem you are experiencing is different and I did not understand your problem correctly.

  1.Premier, create a view object with imageURL and pageName as its attributes,
  2. drag and drop the object from view of the DataControl in Jspx page
  3 inside of the carouselItem, drag and drop the af: commadImageLink
  4. inside of the commandImageLink do drag a setActionListener and bind the item.pageAction with a property in the managed bean,
  5. in the commandImageLink property inspector.
  In icons, give #{item.imageURL} and Action link it to a method in the managed bean that method must return the page action that is taken by the setActionListener

  Now run the Application

  In my A-master page, I created a nice background for a Web site. Included in the background is a jpeg image that I use as a "banner". In other words, I placed it on top of my A-master page as a nice image/title to create a pleasant location for all other pages.

  When you are working on other pages, however, this banner tends to move and float around. If I place the other texts or images inside the bars blue, the measurement (don't know their name sorry), he shoots the banner down, incongruous way.

  How can I keep this image jpeg always at the top of a page? Similarly, how to create a banner similar to the background that will be always move according to the length of the content of each page?

  (In fact, if the background banner has been doing the top banner, it would be great! Instead, the background banner remains in place and allows the content to lay on it, while the top always pulled down image when I increase the length of the page.)

  So this is about as clear language I can say briefly what is happening. Perhaps there is a different method to create these banners up and down than simply dragging JPEGs pre-designed in Muse? Something which avoids so stupid adjustment and troubleshooting?

  I managed to solve most of the issues "banner" albums by extending the minimum duration of the project in the site properties. Now that it's longer, there are extreme cases of type text or image, pulling down of the banner when I happen to add more content than the minimum length of original page.

  However, it is always wonderful to have a lower banner at the bottom of the page that moves with a pixel length lowest. In other words, whatever a page with 1000 pix of content or 5000, the bottom bar will follow. I explored pinning, according to your suggestion, rogersphoto-, but I'm not interested in an image that remains on one place on the SCREEN, remains active in the lowest point on the page that a person can row for. It's really just needed to help during the construction, some pages are long, others short, but all have a high standard of master and down. Right now, I'm just a variety of master pages with different lengths for different pages, but it seems sort of silly to do. But, the time between, I would put in solving it my very well be less than trying to understand in this case...

• Text master thread produces unexpected results on several images / pages

  I would like to achieve the following: has two blocks of text (primary) on a master page with text flowing to the a-frame for part B (page 1), then to the a-frame to the framework B (page 2) etc.

  So I put two images on a master page, link them and put them in the main frame. After I insert a few pages using the master, the following events occur: page 1 is correct but after indesign page 2 starts linking not desired but the corresponding frames, will first until the end of the beach on the master page and then back all the way, so that the following sequence is created (the number is the number of page and letter frames) :

  1 A - 1 B - 2 A - 3 A - 4 A - 4 B - 3 B - 2 B

  While the desired sequence would be:

  1 A - 1 B - 2 A - 2 B - 3 A - 3 B - 4 A - 4 B

  As much as I saw it, Indesign allows only a single block of primary text / set image threaded by master spread, so it would be natural to expect that he correctly links the out port of page n to n + 1 page port. That's why I don't know if it's a bug I am facing or done something wrong.

  If I understand what you want to do, it could work better if you are primary executives, just put 4 images on master pages and link them 1A > 1 > 2 > 2 b a b. It should work with auto-flux (hold down the SHIFT key) when you place the text, but may not match pages automatically as you type with Smart Text Reflow.

• A pdf with two images page. How can I create a separate pdf for each image?

  I was sent a scan of two images using Adobe Acrobat DC A4.  The images are invoices.  I want to create two separate pdfs, one for each Bill, so that I can drop off each invoice with the operation seen in my accounting software.  If possible, please let me know how to go on this issue. Thank you.

  If the two images are on the same page: duplicate page (drag / move in the Pages panel while holding the Ctrl key).

  Then crops the first page to only show that the first Bill and the second page to show only the other. Then extract each page as a new file.

  If the image is on a separate page: extract each page as a new file (via Tools - Pages - extract Pages).

• Implementation of master to be layered under a background Image Pages

  I created a basic content on a Master Page I want it repeated on several pages. However, sometimes I need to have images that covers the whole page and when this happens, the images automatically sit on the Master Page content and hide everything from the Master Page. Is there a way to make the content of a Master Page in layers below the image?

  You yourself gave the answer: use layers for each content type in InDesign.

  I recommend to use the following layers in InDesign:

  • Image

• How do I change name of file for HTML single image pages in the web gallery for LR 3

  I would like to change the file name by default for HTML pages produced by Lightroom 3 in the web gallery. Specifically, I would like to withdraw the name of HTML in the 'great' chain file so it exactly corresponds to image file.

  Specifically, the default URL is like this:

  http://www.mysite.com/content/_c_EMT2146_large.html

  and I wish it were like that

  http://www.mysite.com/content/_c_EMT2146.html

  I guess that there is a way to make this change by using model editors, but I can't understand it.

  \Contents\Plugins\Web.lrmodule\Contents\Resources\Galleries.

• Various different Image Page

  Hi all

  Still very new to Dreamweaver so just trying to learn a few snippets.

  I have a site with a few different web pages and the same image in all, but I want the image to change color on every page.

  I created a new image file and changed the color.

  Page 1 - I have the image named "image1.jpg".

  Page 2 - I want to be "image2.jpg" instead of "image1.jpg".

  How can I do this?

  Your picture is probably part of a model.  You should be able to modify the model to make this item an editable.

  I can hide/show the flags, but I have not found a way to DEFINE the indicators.

• Pushed large Next Page image, Page won't 'snap' back

  I placed a large picture in my master layout, one that stretched from the bottom of the page. No problem, I thought, just grab the handles and resize it to the right size (much smaller). I did it and the bottom of the page responded accordingly, get back to the top where I had put into it. Everything seems as it should in Design view, but when I preview it (within the Muse or in the browser), hundreds of pixels below where the bottom of the page is it sho

  I adjusted the bottom of the browser guide, bottom of page, footer guides, etc., but nothing works. Only if I drag the bottom of the path to the browser down, then it seems OK when I saw, but that can't be the solution.
