CaseSensitive ITPolicy

Hi forums!

Anyone know is it ITPolicies is case-sensitive or not?

... btw, how to test the ITPolicies on simulators?

Thank you

Partners in flight

as far as I know they are case-sensitive, Yes.

You can test them on a simulator when you activate on the BES

    I'm working on a business application that must be deployed through a series of tests, staging and deployment networks.  The application calls a web service, it must have a different URL for each of the stages of deployment.  Reading the forums, it seems that defining a custom ITPolicy is the best way to do this.  Is there a way to define a strategy custom TI in simulators (I use the Simulator to 9650) so that I can test this approach?

    Thank you

    Dennis

    The BlackBerry smartphone Simulator does not support the creation of custom COMPUTER simulated policy items.  If you connect the simulator of BlackBerry smartphone on a BlackBerry Enterprise Server, you could shoot down your custom element of strategy to the BES.

    Hi, is it possible not to display alerts made by ITPolicy? I checked the api for the ITPolicy class, but I can't find anything that will let me do not show these alerts.

    Kind regards

    Yes. you have IT policies if the camera is turned on a BES. which are enabled and which are not completely your BES administrator.

    If you don't have a user.js file, as I did not, then you can find this information in your profile folder prefs.js. To find this folder, click menu triple horizontal slash on Firefox button, then click the question mark at the bottom, then click "Troubleshooting information" and then click on "View file" next to the profile folder. At this point, you need to open the js file (prefs.js to me, maybe user.js for others) with Notepad.

    The entry "accessibility.typeaheadfind.casesensitive" cor - el mentioned above must be just off the top, and if "Match case" is highlighted then it should have a '1' beside him. You will need to close Firefox, then change 1 to 0 and save. When you restart Firefox "Case-sensitive" must return to being disabled.

  • Interpret a stage of Expression after

    I'm relatively new to Teststand.  How to interpret this expression post.  There is a custom data type that has been created.  I understand the element until the 'false' after ' Evaluate (Step.DataSource): false. ".   However, I don't know if the step after the next comma containing a string comparison is the beginning of another if.  Please help me about some documents to understand this step.

    Step

    . DataSource! = "Step.Result.String"? Step.Result.String = assessed (Step.DataSource): false, (StrComp (Step.Result.String, Step.Limits.String, (Step.Comp == "CaseSensitive"?)) 0:1)) == 0)? "' Past ': 'failed '.

    There are two statements.  The first is a way to assign Step.Result.String to the value of the data source if it is not used for the evaluation.  The decimal point begins a new statement, which evaluates the result of the stage depending on whether the Step.Result.String is equal to Step.Limits.String.

    The? : syntax refers to a conditional in the path-following (Condition)? (True case) False cases).

  • WebWorks and Cordova requires a specific Configuration

    Hi, after a lot of research and do not find an answer, reach out to the larger community of developers.

    BES5 applications to read the dynamic variables set with an ITPolicy through user-defined settings, IE URL allowed.

    This allowed a compiled version of an application to use across implementations of different BES5, each customizable application.

    It is my understanding BES12 reintroduced this (missing in BES10), but can't seem to find any document detailing how to achieve this.

    I'm assuming that the application itself would need for declaration confirming that he uses a customizable variable. When the application is transferred to BES12, I guess the download process will know of this customization and let this field appear in the view of the application.

    Has anyone used this feature, it is available in BES 12.5?

    Some of these features have been added in BES12 for iOS and Android applications, but BlackBerry 10 does not yet support this.  To enjoy them requires native calls, it is not any extension of Cordova, I am aware of that support it, so you will need to create a plug-in.

    The following blog post explains how this can be done on the side Android.

    Restrictions/application Configuration

  • Read the value of configuration of BDS (BB10 Server)

    BES 5 and Java of BB, you could use a custom it political to store configuration values and read with ITPolicy.get...

    For example:

    http://www.BlackBerry.com/developers/docs/7.1.0api/NET/rim/device/API/itpolicy/ITPolicy.html#getStri...

    We use this mechanism to allow a client set up stuff that all users should have, such as a url to the server.

    Is there a similar mechanism on BB10?

    I asked this on several RIM events already, but it seems to be a too special question to be answered (or even understand).

    Not supported today, but it is planned for a future release. No timetable available now so.

  • Load default settings from the BES server application

    Hello

    Is there a way for the BES to say my request that the default settings to use? Now, after loading my application a few textbox fields to be filled in before anything else happens, and I want load the default settings/text of the BES on blackberry. Each BES that will use the application will have different values by default, so hard-code in the application is not an option.

    I hope that this is possible before the BES can publish/push demand for blackberries.

    So far, I looked in the COMPUTER strategies, but have not found what I'm looking for (maybe I'm looking in the wrong place).

    Thanks in advance

    You can put custom elements to your TI-policy, aski your admin bes on the details.
    The ITPolicy class allows easy access to these elements with Integer, String, Boolean, Byte, and Bytearray being supported.
    I have successfully used this mechanism on a couple of apps.

  • Custom in the ALX files properties

    Hello

    in fact I deploy my application OTA. I added some special parameters in the JAD file to configure the application before it is downloaded to the device. Using the CodeModuleGroupManager I can then read properties and use them in my application.

    Now, I have received the request to deploy my application using Blackberry Enterprise Manager. The administrator has informed me, he uses an ALX file to install the application on the device. Now, my problem is that the additional settings to configure my application are no longer there (it is not possible to install the jad with alx files). Is it possible to add custom in the alx file properties? Or y at - it another way to do with BES?

    Thanks for your help,

    Lars

    Take a look at BES Admin Manual. On the side of the unit, you can query the TI custom policy settings using the ITPolicy class.

    Hello

    Does anyone have information/documentation on how to recover a political value of a handheld COMPUTER? We develop a blackberry application that needs to parse a value to a custom COMPUTER thrust on a device policy rule.

    http://www.BlackBerry.com/developers/docs/4.6.0api/NET/rim/device/API/itpolicy/ITPolicy.html

    Basically just ITPolicy.getString (key) or .getBoolean, getInteger, etc., when the key is the name of the key to the strategy.

  • IT detect policy "allow third party applications to use the persistent store" by program

    Our application uses the persistent store widely, and we try to find a way to fail gracefully, with a coherent, when the it policy error "allow third-party Apps to use persistent store" is disabled.

    Ideally, we would detect this setting programmatically and displays an error to the user to inform them that this is the condition that prevents us from running.  It seems that the ITPolicy class in net.rim.device.api.itpolicy would allow us to do, but I can't understand what I asked for to verify this IT strategy value - I can't find documentation on most of the system properties how to query their status and try the guess of getBoolean ("AllowThirdPartyUsePersistentStore", true) does not appear to return the correct value.

    Or, if there is a better way to detect this State, that would work too.

    Thank you.

    Hello

    The settings to use in the class plan ITPolicy to the ITPolicyTemplate2 of the BlackBerry Enterprise Server BESMgmt database table.

  • How can I access other demo sample such as sh (sales history) patterns similar to hr & oe I use to study for the exam SQL?

    I installed Oracle 12 c database on my Tablet Windows Pro 8.1 and I chose to install demo (sample) patterns in an additional download of oracle.com/downloads.  Then, on the instruction of the book corrected Oracle, I've unlocked users 'HR' and 'oe' using the following commands:

    ALTER user HR account unlock identified per hour;

    ALTER user oe account unlock identified by oe;

    I've been connecting to connections HR and oe to write and execute sql commands following fundamentals of SQL as well as the book in preparation for the exam successfully.  Now, in Chapter 10 of the book, he mentions the "sh" (historical sales) pattern.  I tried to launch a slight spin on orders above change/unlock to unlock the 'sh' user when logged in sysdba, but I get an error message indicating that the user "sh" is not found.  So I've navigated to the .sql file sh_main.sql and opened it with SQL Developer to run it, but it requires parameters that are not in the book, as if they were in Chapter 1 of 'oe' and 'hr '.  I know put sh as password, USERS, TEMP and V3 for version, but I do not know the path of log file to use (or type as a parameter).  Maybe I go about it the wrong way at this point?  It is not as simply by running the command user unlock, because it does not recognize the "sh" user even if that user exists in the directory tree under connect sysdba "other users".

    What am I supposed to do to connect to the less common, but still useful demo schema "sh" (sales history)?

  • Need help with this find/replace Script.

    Hi I got this script from Loic.Aigon.  And I got it works for find/replace simple changes however I Cannon operate for several changes.

     function cb5CallBack(target) {
            var findProps, changeProps;

                findProps = {findWhat:"Distributed by ",}
                  changeProps = { changeTo:"Distributed by. ",}
                findProps = {findWhat:"Distribué par ",}
                  changeProps = { changeTo:"Distribué par. ",}
                findProps = {findWhat:"Distribuido por ",}
                  changeProps = { changeTo:"Distribuido por. ",},

            RTXT(target, findProps, changeProps);
            }

    function RTXT(target, findProps, changeProps)
    {
    app.findChangeTextOptions.caseSensitive = true;
    app.findTextPreferences = app.changeTextPreferences = NothingEnum.nothing;
    app.findTextPreferences.properties = findProps;
    app.changeTextPreferences.properties = changeProps;
    app.changeTextPreferences.properties = changeProps;
    target.changeText();
    }

    You must call the function RTXT repeatedly as well:

        var findProps, changeProps;

        findProps   = { findWhat:"Distributed by "};

        changeProps = { changeTo:"Distributed by. "};

        RTXT(target, findProps, changeProps);

        findProps   = { findWhat:"Distribué par "};

        changeProps = { changeTo:"Distribué par. "};

        RTXT(target, findProps, changeProps);

        findProps   = { findWhat:"Distribuido por "};

        changeProps = { changeTo:"Distribuido por. "};

        RTXT(target, findProps, changeProps);
