• Sort the photos by file name (and change the order of photos)

  After working on my photos in PS I ordered in a slightly different order in Bridge, before you rename them all in the sequence number in the order.

  Now, I have added JPEG files resulting to the LR catalog and I want to see them in the order I put them (IE by file name). In LR, however, they are still on display in order of date (time). It's probably very obvious (usually is!), but what I have to change to show the order of their file name?

  I'm also guessing, it would have been possible to sort/rename in Lightroom, but cannot understand the rescheduling part - anyone know?

• Bugs on iBooks - name PDF changes do not

  The problem is that the name of the PDF in iBooks did not change after that I did these two steps:

  1. change the name by pressing select and then the title of the PDF file.

  2. turn off the application iBooks multitasking (the screen after two double click the "home" button)

  3. return to the iBooks app

  After that I made these, I found that the title returned to its original name.

  PDF title would change after these three steps when I used iOS 9.2.1. It cannot operate at iOS 9.3 and 9.3.1 iOS.

  Anyone know how to fix this? Thank you.

  It will not work on my iPad and iPhone 5, always in market to iOS 9.3.1

  You should be able to by this method: (assuming that the sequence you want to edit in the same file)

  ThisContext.SequenceFile.GetSequenceByName (Parameters.OldName). Name = Parameters.NewName

  It does not validate it works correctly but. You really need to check the new name does not already exist, and that the name is valid (only contain letters, numbers, and underscores. Name cannot contain spaces, begin with a digit or be empty. In addition, the name of t may not be 'Value')

  If you are on a domain, it can be disabled via Group Policy. Check with your network administrator.

  is it possible to change the display name of the LIVE / blade PRODUCTION equipment--> Chasis--> servers to our own denomination of standards.

  It is not possible to change the name of the server, but you can add a label to it (see attached screenshot).  And Yes, it can be done during production hours, this does not affect the production data.

  Try to install windows 8 on a PC that is currently running Window XP.  It starts the installation but asks me to change the folder or the file C:\Users on C drive name. The second instruction is to change the folder or filename to C:\ProgramData on drive C.   Don't know what to do?  Thank you!

• If your catalog contains all changes to my photos how can I give a picture of someone else without the catalog?

  This is going to sound very stupid. I'm new to Lightroom, so it's probably obvious. It is my understanding that Lightroom does not change your original photos and simply stores all changes in catalog file. So how it is when you give someone a photo you have edited that they will get the edited image if they have Lightroom and my catalog? Lightroom is some publish kind of command that creates the file, you can then specify?

  Lightroom has an export option that allows you to export to JPEG, TIF or PSD copies, and those exported copies will include all the settings made using Lightroom. You may find it useful to take the time to watch this video series, since you are new to Lightroom.

  I wonder if it is possible to display the name of the catalog within a catalog template file. I found {{catalogId}} but that some outputs its digital ID.

  You can use module_data to retrieve the details for the catalogue with the ID {{catalogId}} and display name

• Lists index is not updated when topic names are changed.

  I had an existing topic for which keywords had been seized.

  Origin name of topic: "Presentation stopped at Non-Ricoh sellers purchase."

  New name of the topic: "Presentation Purchase Orders.

  So I changed the title and the name of the topic...

  Hi Tim

  I think you should probably open the pod of the Index Publisher. Search for the keyword that links to this subject, then look in the area "for the topics" at the bottom of the basket of the Index. You should be able to change the name you see by editing here.

  The lock file is generated every time that Lightroom is open. It is a file that depends on the catalog. When you close Lightroom, this lock file will be deleted automatically. In my view, that temporary files were used during the conversion of your Lightroom 5 catalog. I just deleted those two files on my computer and everything works fine. You can rename your catalog that you want to name. Then just double-click on it to get Lightroom to open the catalogue with its new name. Then, you can start the normal way Lightroom. You might find that rename the catalog causes this file to lose its icon, I did. But it still works fine.

  Ideally it should look like this:

  I see that in the draft of the first window there is a line named Description. Is there a way for me to add a description of the clip of prelude, or appoint the clips in any other way?

• Replacement of all PSD layers when a PSD file name has changed

  Does anyone know how to quickly add a link to all layers in a PSD file, if the name of the PSD file has been changed?  At present, it seems that I have to add a link to each individual one layer.

  For example, I have a PSD with 100 + layers imported in my project, but I would now like to rename the PSD file. Of course, when I do this, AE sees the PSD as 'missing' and there seems to be no way to add a link to all layers for new PSD file name?  I have to click on each individual layer and replace one by one.

  Nope. It's just how it works. AE has no way to know about this either on changes to your PSD files, since the structure of PSD files is not persistent - a simple reorganization of the layers can make a mess. Where EI is able to reference absolute paths with all the disadvantages.
