  This can be a problem in two parts that I don't know if they are connected.

  The problem pc had a virus / trojan waring message last week, but Windows Defender caught the virus and I could clean up and remove from the machine (I hope).  The pc belongs to my parents, my mother bought McAvee security add to the computer as additional protection, but had not downloaded it.

  I followed the instructions of download and downloaded the program.  To restart the computer, the wireless internet connection was lost, and the system froze.  On turning off the pc, I expected to be able to start the pc through the normal request to "start windows normally".  It worked, but the pc froze again, so do the same thing again once, the following past once I have been through the process of starting - a message from the blue screen appeared with a long message from Windows startup does not but, before I could read the content of the email the pc was off.

  From this point, repair system continuously in a loop and it is not letting me open their computer.  Once he arrives, he works to try to find a problem and then can't find the problem.   Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.

  Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

  At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

  When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.

  (1.) you want to reinstall XP on the HARD drive or you want to cancel only the vista Boot Manager.
  Usually after reinstalling XP, the boot manager should disappear.

  But I found these tips step by step in the internet:

  -Start your computer in Windows XP.
  -Make sure you have the image of Vista DVD emulated or in the DVD drive.
  -Go to start and run. Type in e:\boot\bootsect.exe/nt52 ALL/force (without the quotation marks and replace e: with the letter of your Vista DVD).
  -Restart the computer, and you notice that the selection of start menu disappeared.
  -Format the partition/drive where you installed Vista.
  -Remove the two (Boot.BAK and Bootsect.BAK) files on your file of root of drives XP (c), it was backup of your previous boot loader files, now is more useful.
  -Optional: Restart to make sure it still works.
  -Use your partition software to merge your partitions.

  The code confirms everything you have already said - 7th with the parameter 005.

  That your drivers to work has little to do with the question of whether if they work now. They could have
  become corrupted, an update might make them unstable, other causes may force in
  Unstable States (for example, some games on some hardware) and a host of other issues.

  Try the Recovery Console if you have one and a Vista disk, if not to run the system restore back to a point
  before that happens.

  If windows loads in safe mode then uninstall any recently installed.

  Answer: Disable "no GUI" in the Panel under the msconfig Startup tab.

  Apparently, in the activation of vista "no GUI" allows the vista aurora boot / splash screen, thus hiding the start menu, check it out operations on disk and memory diagnostics.

  Under xp, which allows 'no GUI' blacked out on the screen and hidden from the above process.  But in Vista, rather than be a screen blacked out, vista boot screen is engaged.

  As my question, in some sort 'no GUI' was enabled without my knowledge.  So I could not see the background process during startup.

• Pavilion dv6636 stuck in a reboot loop with no boot

  I have a Pavilion dv6636 purchased on Oct / 2007 which saw a reboot loop with no boot. By pressing the Start button, I can see the hood leds on, power on (as well as the port for illuminated around blue AC adapter), HD led being turned on once and can hear the pilot DVD is powered and the fan turns, then, after about 10 seconds (while the screen is always black), he stops, remains off for 5 sec , then restarts, stuck in this loop. Experiences I've already done:
  -hard reset
  -reset of memory
  -stable memory locations
  -exchanged memories
  -started with memories (sounded a beep as expected)
  -had started with HD (continued with the same symptoms)
  -F8 or F2 keys pressed during startup (black screen and continued with the same symptoms)
  -F10 key during startup (by pressing F10, it does not shut down as usually does, but rest died, with black screen and rotation of the fan)
  -external monitor plugged in when you start (black screen and continued with the same symptoms)

  Same question occurred in about 4 months ago, but at that time, after break of a week I tried to start and has been a success. Not at the moment.

  Please, any thoughts of what could be the problem?

• iMac 2012 - sierra installation failed, caught in the loop, please help

  Hey everybody.

  That's what I have:

  iMac 27 "mid-2011. He had on El Capitan.

  This iMac contains two hard drives and drive superdrive.

  A disc is 256 GB SSD and the other a regular 2 TB internal HARD drive.

  As SSD is faster that I keep my OS X and programs on this SSD drive, all the other stuff like photos, music, documents, are put on the classic 2 TB HDD.

  This is what happened:

  Attempt of I:

  Everything was going well until the installer has discovered that the SSD did not have a sufficient space to install. I quit the installer, the option pop up, I called "Startup Volume" has chosen my SSD and restarted it. Has been 2 attempts, if I'm not wrong, but worked. I killed and moved the files, I think now would be enough disk space on my SSD tried the Sierra ad install again.

  --> Attempt II:

  This time Sierra Installer arrived at the stage language choose where he welcomed and asked to choose the language. The next screen it tells me once again: not enough space, the bigger internal drive offers enough, but I don't want that. So, I tried the same exit to leave the program and launch then boot Volume installation...
