CC desktop application does not sync

When I opened the desktop application announcing go tot the active tab, then click on files at the bottom it says sync but does not stop the progression and custom. I left it for hours (yesterday 19/03/16) and I would check the file I needed and never saw the files I needed. As a result, I can't see or open some files. If I click on see online and go to the folder that I need, I can see al the files and folders in the specific folder that I need. Even if I open InDesign and go the same folder I can't see the InDesign file because I can't open it.
