  However, you would not be able to install this patch for Photoshop Elements 9 as it is an older version on Photoshop Elements and it does not support T6i Cannon

• Canon 6 d Raw in Photoshop and more adventure

  I'm on a Mac Pro 1.1 that is out of date insofar as it can be (OS x 10.6.8), running Adobe CS6 Master Collection, and I just bought a new Canon 6 d DSLR.  I started trying to update Camera Raw for the 8.2 and Photoshop and Bridge to the latest versions that include support for the 6 d and have had no luck with either.  It appears that the updates will install, but then used.  I ran the installers/updates, error-free, they successfully completes, but the updates are not really updated.  To be clear, I can repeatedly run Adobe Application Manager, it will connect to the server and invite me to update all applications in the Master Collection. For example, sake, I'll stick with Photoshop Camera Raw. He invites me to upgrade to Photoshop Camera Raw 6.7.  It performs the update and say that it has been installed correctly, but it is not really updated to 6.7.  I can then re-run the Application Manager, and it prompts you to update me once more to 6.7.  The same series of events occurs with other applications as well.  It's maddening.

  If you have photoshop cs6 indeed and not photoshop cs5, try this update for camera raw 8.3

  (camera raw 8.3 is the latest version of camera raw that works with photoshop cs6 and snow leopard)

  Perfecting a new workflow for my images. I would like to import my. Raw CR2 files in lightroom unaltered, scroll and cull those I don't want to use the features of bright rooms. I find Lightroom excellent functionality and I am used to it.

  So, ideally, I would like to deal with, or have the option of treatment, in DPP rather than Lightroom raw files. I can use lightroom development module rather (will do my own experiences), but as the ability to use both Canon. I would like to make the same way I use photoshop, i.e. "change in" and have put in place for that DPP. Unfortunately, when I try to put in place, I don't get the option to send the raw (.cr2) PPD files. The only options are .jpg, .tiff, etc.. Of course DPP deals only raw files, so I'm stuck.

  Once the raw files are processed, I can refine it into Photoshop as you wish.

  If I understand now, I can shoot files in lightroom and then must open DPP separately to make my raw editing, then translate the in lightroom to backup the database and end in photoshop, if necessary. I do a lot of panos pictures of sew and this workflow seems to be a pain / redundant.

  That you have discovered, a workflow using Lightroom and Canon DPP on RAW images won't be good at all. These software are not designed to work with one another (the opposite of LR and Photoshop, which are designed to work together).

  So, since you asked for suggestions, my suggestion is not what you want to hear, but nevertheless it is my suggestion: don't do this. Do all the work in LR, or all the work in the DPP, but not a combination of both. You will save a huge amount of time and frustration.

What configuration should I I look for reasonable (works smoothly 95% of the time) performance? Usually I update every 3-4 years max, so I want to be a bit future proof without excessive spending that I don't know that there is something even better in 2018-2019. I currently own a 2011 basic configuration end 13 inch, Macbook Pro and other than the magnificent 5 k screen, it's only the performance of Photoshop and Lightroom that are really convince me to level because it is still a great everyday task computer.

  Camera RAW is more of a 'concept' as a specific standard.   The idea behind a RAW file, is that the unloaded data in the chip will not be altered in a way that results in a loss of original data.

  JPEG images using a compression algorithm "with losses" that standardize data when the differences are so subtle as your eye probably would not have noticed the difference.  But when images are adjusted, subtle differences can be "stretched" and the loss of the original data can affect the ability to adjust the image later and still get good results.

  BUT... as all the cameras may have a sensor of difference, at different resolutions, etc. the method necessary to decode a RAW file and display the image may be different literally on a model by model basis.  When you work with RAW files, you must always the specific codec that very model camera... not just "any". CR2 codec will work.  It is the same with all other brands of cameras as well.

  Microsoft does not include updates to camera RAW in the default value of the OS updates that you can apply to your computer on a regular basis (Apple made... every two months, I get a camera RAW update and if I read the notes, it will have a list of the new camera models on the market for which they have added RAW support).    But Microsoft DOES make the FIRST available updates... they are just not automatic.  Go download and install them.

  Due to a series of problems with my computer old (now), I uninstalled Adobe Photoshop and Premiere Elements, after carefully printed on the profile and serial numbers.  Now, after buying a Windows 10 HP desktop, I tried to install a very valuable software.  From the beginning of the installation, I entered the serial number - as - my print-out.  He refused and I was asked to enter again!   Checked and re-checked-exactly as I had entered it.  But the refusal of those same numbers have persisted.

  Logging into my account - after the link printed for the serial number of the product (https://www.adobe.com/go/acctmgmtserialnum) has failed to implement a destination in my browser - I see that there is mention of maintenance — although the denial of my serial number was not this as a problem, rather simply accepting the number.  Under my products, I drew the caveat that the information could not be provided.

  I learned that a forum - an area in which I never dared before - is my ONLY option.  Even though I remember receiving a lot of emails about CC - I was very happy with my existing Photoshop and still haven't use iCloud.

  As a 'beginner' complete in this way to get an answer, please help.

  An idea that MAY work to install or run some programs in Windows 10 old... works for some, not for others

  I guess you meant the links when you open photoshop CC. I tested all four videos of the 23 min tutorial and they all played fine. If something between you and adobe does not work correctly.

  • Check that your firewall is blocking the net. Try to access youtube videos and see if they play very well
  • Go to the adobe tv site and try to play one of the videos here. Adobe TV
  • If youtube plays very well and adobe tv does not work, next is to check if you have flash installed. Some videos require flash, others are html 5. Sorry that I could not confirm what player has been used for this tutorial. I think that html 5 but not sure.
  • Next is to look at the properties of your browser and check multimedia settings are not disabled if it y in a. (this is totally dependent on the browser)

  I have trouble making the distinction between Photoshop and Lightroom. Especially when you look at the subscription offers. For the software only sub you can choose Photoshop. There is no option to choose the CC or Lightroom. They always come together? Or I can choose who I want later in the process. They list them as if they were two separate programs, but I only know photoshop and have never heard of lightroom. Can someone please clarify?
