  Go to Firefox-> Add-ons-> Plugins-> Locate Shockwave Flash 11.3.300.257 (not 11.0.1.152) and disable it.

  (1) go in Control Panel-> uninstall a program-> uninstall Mozzila Firefox
  (2) go in run (Windows key + R)-> Type %APPDATA%\microsoft\windows\sendto - > go to Roaming-> locate Mozilla Firefox and remove it.
  3) go to C:\Program Files (x 86) \Mozilla Firefox (or anywhere where you have it installed) and remove this folder.
  (4) download the browser, install

  Applications, (Norton and McAfee) are notorious for not not upgrade (or uninstalling) itself.

  1. download the Norton Removal Tool, save it to your desktop: ftp://ftp.symantec.com/public/english_us_canada/removal_tools/Norton_Removal_Tool.exe

  2. close all open applications (that is, anything with an icon on the taskbar).

  3. After completing some you have a copy of your handy product key, uninstall Norton 360, LiveUpdate and all Norton Add ons via Control Panel | Programs | Uninstall a program (or Control Panel |) Programs and features, if you are using the classic view).

  4 IMPORTANT! -Online activate Windows Firewall immediately after the restart.

  NB: Now you're "working without a net": no to ANYTHING else online (e.g., navigation, reading e-mail, chat) until you have completed step #7 below!

  Running Windows 7 x 64 and Internet Explorer 11.0.23.

  Am currently on all windows 7 updates except for KB3101746, who has failed with error 80073701.  I have downloaded and run the version of the x 64 system update tool bits, then ran the auditor of system files with the resulting message "Windows Resource Protection did not find any breach of integrity", rebooted the system, protection of Kaspersky paused and tried the update again with the same failed result.

  Any suggestions on what to try next?
