  I just run the update to 2015.3 CC Illustrator and Photoshop CC 2015.5. There is no update currently available for Indesign and according to my CC desktop application, Indesign is up-to-date. I use an iMac. InDesign does not open because I ran the update for Illustrator and Photoshop. I don't see how they are related, but this is how it happened. I could open Indesign very well yesterday, but since the update when I select the Indesign icon in my doc, he bounced back to start the update and then nothing.   According to the description of the problem, it seems that you are unable to open the USB on the computer.

  I would appreciate it if you could answer the following questions to help you best:

  1. the pen drive recognizes on the computer?

  2. what happens when you try to open the USB?

  3. do you get an error message?

  4 have you checked the question in different USB ports?

  5 have have there been recent changes made on the computer before the show?

  This question could be corrupted USB drivers. Here are some methods that you can try in order to solve the problem.

  As the title suggests, just upgraded to Windows 10, now indesign does not open. It is interesting to other applications CC open, but no indesign. When I try to open from the finder, I get an error indicating that the file ddl virtual studio c ++ 110.dans is missing. I tried all the normal things to make it unmissing, but they do not seem to work.

  Hello, I had actually already tried using the tool unistaller. All uninstalled, then reinstalled, which did NOT work.

  I was upgrade to Windows 8.1 for windows 10.

  I managed to get InDesign to work as follows:

  1. Everything uninstalled uninstaller of windows (and not via CC).
  2. At running the Adobe uninstaller tool (it has not found anything however).
  3. After I installed CC, I noticed that CC has reinstalled the package to redistribute C++ 2008 I've heard causes problems.
  4. I uninstalled then manually C++ 2008 package, but left 2012 and 2015.
  5. Then I installed InDesign. When I installed indesign it installed a few other packages C++, but... Responsible inDesign! Still a bug or 3 but it works at least.

• Adobe InDesign does not open docs in Win 7

  I'll put up a new desktop PC which came with pre-installed Windows 7 Home Premium, V 6.17601 Service Pack 1, 64 - bit. I installed all the updates, which included SP 2 & 3.

  I then installed Adobe Creative Suite CS4 Design Standard (previously works without problem on Windows Vista).

  I didn't know by disabling applications before installing. I just put the CD of CS4 and all installed applications. No worries. All open applications. Photoshop works very well. Illustrator will not open due to problem of plugin. I ran across the Windows program compatibility tool and now it works fine.

  There are problems with InDesign and Adobe Acrobat 6 (which solves later).

  When I try to open previously created identity documents, I get the error message: "cannot open xx.indd. "Please update your plug-ins their versions the latest, or upgrade to the latest version of InDesign.

  I can't find anything on the upgrade of plug-ins for the most recent versions. How can I do this?

I always get the same error message. I can create new InD docs, but not open all of my previous work.

  I thought that I had responded to this and closed the case. But maybe not. On the advice of the phone, we did uninstall and turn off the old CS. Then we installed CS4. He worked like a dream - no problem of compatibility at all.

When I take the laptop out of the network of the company (for a meeting or a house), InDesign will not open, it gives me the following error (see image).   Hello!

  I realized that it was, finally. After playing, I noticed that my InDesign fonts folder, had 'alias' links to fonts residing on this shared drive. As soon as I deleted all those who where alias, the error disappeared. I hope this helps someone in the future.

  I have PSE 9 on my Mac for 18 months without any problem.

  Recently, I upgraded the boot to a larger drive that the original was running out of space. I used a standard drive, cloning tool, and all was well.

  Except... PSE now says he "cannot open file because the disk is not available" follow-up by "cannot initialize because the disk is not available.

  Without information system, we cannot tell you what exactly is going on. Usuall means what it says - your disks are full or at least not accessible to Photoshop. You could try holding down Ctrl + Alt + shift when you start the program to reset prerequisite information and to define a new location, you should really look into your cleaning system and make room for otehrwise.   Some of the libraries used by Photoshop are corrupt.

  Check your disk for other problems, then uninstall and reinstall Photoshop.

  I stupidly updated my CC applications yesterday. I met (fortunately) never a problem of serious performance with any of my prior Adobe apps, but now, I was totally unable to open InDesign in the last 30 hours (since I've updated). I use a PC running Windows 10 and it has always been a reliable machine meets the requirements of the system. My other Adobe applications are also being updated and they work very well, but InDesign keeps end like this:

  

  I get very frustrated because now I'm late and I apparently do not pay enough technical support.

  

  Someone else has encountered this, and is there any infallible solution? Please let me know as soon as POSSIBLE!

  It was a problem with InDesign to crash at launch on a Windows computer due to files MSVCR120.dll. below are the steps to solve the problem:

  1 reset the InDesign preferences (from records the and itinerant) please see: InDesign and locations of support Preferences

  2 download the repair MSVCR files from this link: Download Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2012 updated 4 of the official Microsoft Download Center

  3. download the first two files EXE (x 86 & x 64)

  4. run both of them one by one, choose the repair option.

  5 restart the computer after completing the execution of these two

  6. start InDesign and you should be good to go.

  Someone had CC (maybe a trial) and saved files... Still, it is said in the finder doesn't mean anything - the operating system knows only the latest version currently installed.
