CCNP certification

Hello!

I have a certification CCNP routing and switching active until November 2016 and active safety of CCNA until October 2017.

My CCNP R & S certification is about to expire, so I intend to acquire the CCNP security.

Would have written one of the CCNP security exams to recertify my CCNP R & S course or should I write all four CCNP security exams to renew my CCNP R & S class?

Bala

Passing any 642 - xxx or 300 - xxx (professional level examinations) will extend your CCNA and CCNP certification dates.

    Hello

I achieve CCNP R & S. Can I candidate for CCDP without CCDA and CCNP SP without CCNA SP.

    Thank you in advance!

    1. "I can CCDP without CCGD candidate."

You can take the exam of the CHRC, but you need to "valid Cisco Routing and switching CCNA and CCDA or any Cisco CCIE certification can act as a sine qua non."  before you get the certification of the CHRC. Reference source

    2. "CCNP SP without CCNA SP." Similarly, you can pass the exam but will not be certified until the prerequisites first. CCNP SP those are:

  • CCNP security certifications

    Hello

Can someone please advise if I can get one of the new security review to keep my CCNP R & S existing certification that expires in April 2016

I passed old exams 642-618, 642-637, 642-627 already. Can I appear just for the review of 300-208 to keep my certification valid and thus also complete safety CCNP certification.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

    Dobbelaere

Yes, you can pass a professional or expert level exam and who will be renewing your certification CCNP R/S. If you do the SISAS tests now, then you can use it for your CCNP security when you passed also three other Sec CCNP exams (and the sine qua non, the CCNA Security).

  • CCNP path

    Hi guys,.

I'm pass Linux Cisco field. Saved money, quit my job, have enough time to study, passed my CCNA and study now for CCNP R &.

So far so good-, but as you all know CCNP is much harder and I wonder maybe I should pass just the road and then try to find some work/project to acquire practical experience.

If you had enough time as me - would you satisfy the three - road, switch and Tshoot or you pass only the road for example and then trying to find a job?

Wasn't too much to get all the certificates without any practical experience? I have 3 x 3550 switches at home and I do a lot of labs in GNS3 but anyway...

If I spend only road I would have still more than two "hits" later when I need to renew my certification and also save money...  Although saving money is not the point here.

I tend to believe all three is perhaps the best. Assuming I pass all then in three years I have to go for another CCNP certification (or higher) or can I go for example, CCNA Security (bottom) to renew my registration?

    Thank you very much!

    Daniel

Everyone learns a little differently, but for me the experience is the best teacher. I would try to get a job that gives you experience with routing and switching as soon as possible.

When I hire someone that I would rather they have more hands-on experience than approvals: all other things being equal. Certifications are useful but one indicator of the capacity and interests of the person. The industry is full of people who have crammed the test but cannot configure or troubleshoot a network on their own. Some employers require a certain certification or another, but many waive this requirement if you can demonstrate solid knowledge.

Once you have a CCNP, you can keep current passing all exams professional level (or higher) within 3 years to earn the CCNP. A review of aggregate level is not enough to maintain the current CCNP-level certification. Details of which are published here.

  • IPsec over UDP - remote VPN access

    Hello world

The VPN client user PC IPSEC over UDP option is checked under transport.

When I check the details of the phase 1 of IKE ASDM of user login, it shows only UDP 500 port not port 4500.

Means that user PC VPN ASA there that no device in question makes NAT.

What happens if we checked the same option in the client IPSEC VPN - over UDP and now, if we see the port UDP 4500 under IKE phase 1 Connection Details

This means that there is now ASA a NAT device VPN Client PC, but he allows IKE connection phase 1?

Above are examples for your reference. I must also say that I am absolutely not an expert when it comes to virtual private networks in general. I had to learn two firewall/vpn basically on my own, as during my studies, we had no classes related to them (which was quite strange).

While I learned how to set up VPN and troubleshoot them I think I missed on the basic theory. I had plans to get the title Associates CCNA/CCNP certifications but at the moment everything is possible. Don't have the time for it.

I guess that you already go to the VPN security CCNP Exam?

Hope this helps and I hope that I didn't get anything wrong above

  • CCNP security certification!

    Hi all

I question who I am spent by all the associated cisco hope web found my answer. but I have not found the answer.

    I attended security CCNP courses.

    640-802 (CCNA) - HAS NO

    640-554 (CCNA Security) - ADOPTED

    642-637 (SECURE) - ADOPTED

    642-618 (FIREWALL) - ADOPTED

    642-648 (VPN) - ADOPTED

    642-627 (IPS) - ADOPTED

each of them ended in NOV. 3 in 2012. It seems as if I'm taking CCNA exam (640-802), it will complete the CCNP security certification. I was wondering is there a due date which I take CCNA (640-802)?

If I pass the CCNA (640-802) security CCNP cert valid dates will be from 08 June 2013 or from NOV 03 in 2013.

The 640-802 exam is only to be offrerd through September 30, 2013, date to take the review of version 2.0 new (200-120).

My understanding of the dates is as follows:

When you pass the final exam required for your CCNP security (and assuming that none of the previous reviews have expired - i.e. everything within 3 years from the date of final passage required review) your certfication will be issued with a validity period of 3 years starting from the date of the required final past.

However, I would doublecheck with the support of the certification for a definitive answer:

  • Renewal of certification for CS-CASAS, CS-CIPSS, CIOSSS and CS-CFWSS

    Hello

I have several certifications that are coming due in 2017.

CS-CASAS, CS-CIPSS, CIOSSS and CS-CFWSS (all are security certifications) - (ASA, IOS, IPS and FW).

I just spent a review for CCNP Collaboration and recertifies my CCNA and CCNP (R & S and security), but the certifications above has not been renewed.

Anyone know how I can renew them?

    Kind regards.

These certifications are all retired and have not been offered as new certifications since April 2014. This is why they are not renewed.

They are not currently required for all career or partner certification status. They were replaced largely with CCNP security curriculum content.

  • CCNP exam

My ccna expire on 10/04/2013, can I take my exam of ccnp course the same day

    Hello arafat.

    CCNP prerequisites

Valid Cisco CCNA certification or any Cisco CCIE certification can act as a sine qua non.

If your ccna expires on 04/10/2013, it is still valid, so you take the consideration of course in case of problems.

  • Need help on Cisco UCS Certification

    Hi all

    I need your help.

I intend to take the certification Cisco UCS. Please help me on this I am confused that you take as it is DCUCI or guide DCUCD please if it is DCUCI how to start and if DCUCD how to start.

Currently working on vmware support and little UCS. I am after reading docs, and communities through videos from train signal UCS.

Can some expert guide please, how further will be a great help

    Thanks in advance

    Vincent

    Vincent,

Since how long did you ask? I want to mention that CCNA/P DC was relesed in November, before a review as DCUCI was a full certification and it is now part of the CCNP instead.

CCNA has 2 reviews, DCICN & DCICT

I couldn't find a link where it is specifically stated that you must follow a specific order, for example here:

http://www.Cisco.com/Web/learning/certifications/specialist/DC/uc_support.html you can find specialized support requirements are:

642-999 DCUCI (one of the basic tests I mentioned) & DCUCT 642-035 (one of the troubleshooting tests I mentioned as well)

For CCNA, there is no choice, only 2 exams available, it does not matter for CCNP, but 4 you access CCNP, different combinations will give Add tax certifications.

However, keeping in mind the names of examinations, which can give you an idea of what you want to learn first:

DCUCI: implementation of Unified Computing DC

DCUFI: implementation of DC Unified Fabric

DCUFD: Data Center Unified Fabric Solutions Design

DCUCD: Data Center Unified Computing Systems Design

DCUFT: Troubleshooting Cisco Unified Fabric data center

DCUCT: Troubleshooting Cisco Unified Computing data center

    I hope this helps clarify.

  • (R & S) CCNP for CCNP SP

    Hello

I have a valid CCNP R & S certification. I am interested in the CCNP SP track. Because I deleted the Exam(#642-902) road in the CCNP R & S is granted to me to get the CCNP SP. Also should what tests I go to obtain the CCNP SP. I'm really confused as the migration of the CCIP tool suggests sometimes SPROUTE, SPEDGE AND SPCORE and sometimes it suggests SPADVROUTE, SPEDGE and SPCORE. Also, as a note it is mentioned.

    • The tool identifies the specific review numbers that are valid for the migration towards the CCNP service provider certification. Cisco is honoring the number specific exam for the CCNP service provider certification only, even if they are beyond their expiry date of 3 years. These reviews will be accepted until July 24, 2015

What that means, it means that now only exams expired will be accepted until July 24,2015 or even the most valid that are not expired. The second confusion is if my review of course (which is not expired) qualify to become a CCNP SP that give me credit to SPROUTE or SPADROUTE as a tool for migration sometimes displays SPADVROUTE and sometimes SPROUTE.

    Thank you

The way I see it, as of July 24, 2015, the answer is not simple.
To get a valid CCNP SP, you must now pass all four CCNP SP exam. In addition, you also have a valid CCNA SP certification.

Review of the ROAD, in combination with the R & S CCNA, gave credit to CCNP SP (SPROUTE) as long as you have three remaining exams (SPEDGE, SPCORE & ADVSPROUTE) before July 24.

    EDIT
I don't know, I saw a CLN moderator post something in this direction not so long ago it is a. trying to find the post for your checking.

    EDIT 2
I think Rigo answers your question in this thread: https://learningnetwork.cisco.com/thread/73709

  • Certification process

I am coming on my CCNA and a question popped into my head. There are different paths, you can hold each certifications, such as routing, switching, wireless, security, data center, ect... But I have to spend all these paths of CCNA exam before I try to go for CCNP? Or can I take CCNA routing and switching and then go for CCNP routing and switching?

Only for the CCNP routing and switching CCNA (R & S) is a sine qua non.

Others are different - CCNP security requires, for example, CCNA Security as a precondition, which itself requires a sine qua non (CCENT, CCNA R & S oou all CCIE)

The best place for these questions is the Cisco Learning Network. Also take a look at the homepage of official certification to the requirements of the final program.

  • CCNP PULL and CCGD on one day?

    Hi all

just out of curiosity, I have passed CCNA SWITCH and the ROAD and did training for the TSHOOT this month.
I was eyeing with PCDC but for that I need also a CCGD. I looked in the topics and I realized that it is almost the same as CCNA withouth configs and some more advanced knowledge of theoreticakl, which was again covered in DISARRAY and formations of the SWITCH.

Now the big question is like the TSHOOT and CCGD does not interlap, is it possible to make 2 on the same day?

I mean that I'll do the TSHOOT and after a pause, I do the CCGD. They are not interdependent and even if I don't see one any of them, would be nice.

    Tounsiiaa in advance!

I think that you should be okay to do both in one day. If you continue the CCNP classes and have a relatively recent CCNA R/S then CCGD should be a pretty simple review for you.

I advise you only consider the wireless of the CCDA syllabus knowledge because they are usually not covered at the same level in the R/S CCNA.

Best wishes for your continued progress of certification.

  • CCIP certification is invalid?

    Hello

I currently hold CCIP certification. However his retirement now, is there a deadline for me to migrate to the CCNP service provider?

Or if I continue the track security my validity CCIP CCNP will extend each time I have clear a paper CCNP security paper.

If Cisco did not mention anything now is it possible that my PICC will become invalid & nothing can renew its validity?

    Hoping for the best

  • CCNP recertification

    Hello

just to be sure, my CCNP R & S will be expired on February, and I would like to know if security CCNP will recertify my CCNP R & S without CCNA security.

they always said I can't be recertified with any exan CCNP, but the requirement for CCNP dry is dry ccna.

    Please notify.

According to Cisco Certifications IT web site and career paths, your CCNP can be certified by the way of a review of 642 - xxx professional level.

    http://www.Cisco.com/Web/learning/certifications/professional/CCNP/recert.html

All of the CCNP tests appear to be transitional 642 - xxx to xxx - 300, my thought would be so that none of the 300 - xxx for CCNP security exams will work, but it is best to contact Cisco:

1-800-553-6387 training and Certification menu 'Option 4-1'

You must have the CCNA Security certification to receive the CCNP security certification, but has nothing to do with exams. You can pass all exams CCNP security first and then go take the CCNA Security exam and is awarded two certifications at the same time.

  • Path to the vcdx certification

I wanted to ask questions on the path to achieve vcdx and get some tips from some vcdx who came before.  Of course, it takes an extremelly large time commitment, planning, strategy and discipline.  I would like to have your advice on what you found useful with regard to obtaining this certification.  For example:

    1. the kind of workplace that lends itself better to the construction of this kind of knowledge.  It is better to work as a reseller, see multiple environments on a regular basis, as opposed to the administration of an environment?  As many vcdxs work for VMware, is there some helps you get VMware as paid training, resources and other "ins" extra time they invest to help people to get what may not be available outside?

    2. What are some guidelines for study / certification in other areas of knowledge that vcdx binds tightly to like networking, storage and other areas?  For example, you need the equivalent of knowledge of network level CCNP, EMC certified level of knowledge in storage management, etc.?

    3. What are the strategies for the practical difficulties of finding enough time to study a cert like this?  Are there companies that tend to pay for the duration of the training and classes more than others?  Are deprived of many vcdx advisors who can make their own hours and so can take 3 weeks off at will through the year to study for a test?  Helps be a VCT and teach classes all the time if you still have the knowledge before you for your hour 40 a job of the week instead of trying to make all of your studies outside of your regular work?

    4. don't vcdx candidates spend a lot of time answering questions communities to establish a knowledge base?  What other ways in addition to training and classes of reading books and laboratory at home a potential candidate must use to prepare?

Thank you for any input, pointers, etc.

I certainly agree with the statement of André on the use of the partners.  He just opened the door to more opportunities for you.

My experience with funding for certification and training was the opposite of what logiboy123 mentioned.  There were definitely cuts my business training after the economic benefits in 2008, but the best people still got the funding (it was just harder).  My company has been really good in my path to certification of funding and now pushes me more difficult to get my VCDX completed at the end of 2011.  I'm so target VMWorld 2011 in my design VCDX defense.

The great thing about working for HPES (formerly EDS) is that in a short time, I had hands on experience with many clients in a variety of environments.  Each client had very different needs and I had very different solutions.  I even got in missions of VDI.  These sorts of fighting force you to get your hands dirty with the storage and network for each solution your build.  You also get very deep into the material.  For me it was blades HP and virtual connect solutions.  I think that each of them will greatly benefit me when I begin to assemble my VCDX application.  I'm now pushing my boss to get on another commitment when I start to design a new environment from the ground up so I can use it as the basis of my submitted design...
