CD/DVD burner with vantec enclosure iHas424Y refreshes new media

Win 7 ultimate 64-bit

I ordered a recorder of Y (optiarc rebadge) CD/DVD Lite-on iHAS424 and an external enclosure, VANTEC NST - 530S 2 and try to use them together (SATA to USB2).  Links:

The drive burns without flaw, however, the player is a little funky.  CD works fine.  Full data and video DVD with small episodes of tv series (350 MB, xvid, 40 minutes) work well, most of the time.  Full movies (mkv, 1hr30min in 3 hours, 1 GB to 4.5gbin size) will work when the dvd is in the drive bay when starting and not deleted.  I can not put a new DVD in the Bay, it will not refresh dvd data and if he doesn't give me undefined error codec (regardless of the player).  Activities of dvd are able to explore freezing.

At first I thought oh, funky speaker/reader.  But, everything works perfectly / fast when starting and running ubuntu 9.10 and 10.4 (direct copy of each, so no frills or special features).  Tried on several laptops / PC, as an attachment. Problem with the enclosure or the drive with win7 ultimate?  Or maybe a service is disabled?  I tried the fixit thing, didn't come with anything.  I tried an update to the latest (version zl1w).  Got the drive preinstalled on ultimate, driver could not find something for each speaker.  Not defeated cables (and works on the other OS / boot).

Anyone have any ideas?  Or just incompatibility?  It just seems like a miss-communication between the pregnant reader (?) and windows 7.  I don't have a way to test the drive itself now (can't pop my laptop open, nor have I not a turn laying around).  Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

For those who have similar problems, it is the service Detection hardware core.  Turn the power off and everything works perfectly.

  • Add to MT 9010 DVD burner with Blu - Ray burner as a second burner

I am looking for a MT 9010 with a Blu - Ray combo burner. I also want to add a DVD burner as a second burner. Sales said that the system cannot be bought like that. Is it just the way they are sold, or it's physically impossible to add a second burner? There is one external slot open, and it would seem that the motherboard could support. Can I add a DVD burner myself if I get the MT 9010 with the already installed Blu - Ray burner? Thank you.

    Hi jaman57,

OptiPlex 9010 MT has two optical drive bays and four SATA ports on the motherboard. Yes, you can add a DVD burner yourself with the Blu - Ray burner. The image of the façade is provided below:

    Hello

I burned some files on a DVD-R using my MacBook Air disc. I did by deleting files on the icon in the Finder and burned it there.

  • Replace W520 Sony Optiarc AD - 7710H DVD burner with Sony Optiarc BD - 5750: Blu - ray burner?

I plan on replacing the DVD writer came with my W520 (4270CTO) with a Blu - ray burner.  Obviously not all W520s are delivered with the same discs.

Does anyone know if the flange on the W520 is identical for both above mentioned Sony Optiarc drives?  If this is not the case, what Blu - ray recorders can accept the W520 flange of the Sony Optiarc AD - 7710H, the drive from that my machine delivered?

    Thank you!

    (3) which means file system UDF and CDFS on DVD?

the practical 7Guides site was awesome and I have burned my files on DVD and could burn additional data later after that first engraving was finished. • HP Pavilion a6760y with SuperMulti DVD burner with Lightscribe technology

    Hello

We had this Pavilion a6760y PC for about a week.  None of the software recognize the CD.  The device manager says that it can not load the disk due to a problem and gives an error 39.

We followed the steps to delete upper and lower filters in registry as described in the HP troubleshooting guide.  Since Device Manager has always said that it cannot load the driver, I hesitate to go further - any suggestions?

    (1) make sure you have deleted filters down to the registry.

    http://www.pchell.com/hardware/cd_drive_error_code_39.shtml

After that DON 'T restart the pc immediately.

    Proceed to step 2.

    (2) uninstall the driver for the disc drive which shows in yellow code 39 of Device Manager.

    Very important step.

    Go to step 3.

    (3) now, you restart the computer.

    Go to step. 4

    (4) when you connect wait until 3 minutes and windows must be reinstalled the driver of rear disc and hopefully it should work.

  • My DVD burner has crashed during the creation of media recovery disks.

HP Pavilion p7 - 1269c using Windows 7 Home premium desktop PC. How to reset the creation process so the Recovery Manager will allow me to start over again?

As far as I know, you don't reset the creative process. If the HP Recovery Manager thinks that he has created a set of discs, it's done. Please contact HP and ask for a free set of disks. Explain your situation to them.

  • Updated by Satellite Pro 6000 with a DVD burner - technical question

Hi all, I just bought a DVD burner that is adapted to the Bay of selection to replace the old DVD player...
He came 'naked', so I thought I'd just disassemble the frame of the old drive and put it on the new...

But: not the slightest Phillips screwdriver will integrate these screws; in fact, they look very special and I do not know how to remove...
Should I have any instrument/tool special and if so, where do I get it? Maybe I'm too blonde...

    Someone here who can help?

    Thanks in advance! lionesse62

    Hello

You need a special screwdriver to remove the module bay select (CD/DVD drive).
A 2 mm screwdriver Phillips, a pilot of flat blade screw 4mm and a LHSTIX of 4mm screwdriver.

I think you should visit a laptop computer technician if you n t have the right tool to remove these screws.

    However, if you want to remove the module bay select the Satellite Pro 6000 laptop then follow this instruction;

    (1) turn the computer
    (2) when the lock screw is in the locked position, remove the screws and fix it on the hole to keep her temporarily locking screws.
    (3) slide the lever and pull place the selectable bay module.

After you remove the DVD rom, you need to remove the connector and the connector cover. The connector cover is fixed with screws of black 2M2x8 liaison.
The frame is blocked with five super flat head white M2x3 screw.

As I said, if you can not remove these screws and then ask a technician for help.

    Good bye
