CD/DVD drive on Inspiron 6000

I think that my CD/DVD drive is dead... when I put a CD of reliable data in I don't hear a sound of spinning and I can't access all the files.

I see the 'TSSTcorp CDRW/DVD TSL462C' driver in Device Manager.

I tried to run the accessible diagnostic by pressing the F12 key during startup and tests data returns an error code 0F00:026 C, "there is no media present", even if I put a CD of valid data.

Finally, I tried to check for a replacement CD drive on the Dell Web site and there is no internal CD listed for 6000 Insipiron disc.

Are there any other diagnosis, I need to try?  Also, how can I get a replacement disk?

  • internal hard drive for Inspiron 6000

Someone has any suggestions where to find a replacement 60 DH GB or more compatible HD?

The drive is parallel ATA - SATA not.  If you replace the drive with a larger than 120G, it MUST be parittioned and Windows must be installed UNDER the barrier of 120G.  If you install Windows on a partition that crosses or exceeds 120G barrier, you will one day put the chain on a disc read error and lose everything on the disc.

  • Dell Inspiron 6000: Wireless driver

    I'm looking for driver wifi for a Dell Inspiron 6000 running Windows 7, 32-bit. It's a Systems Conexant RD02-D110.

    Hello:

We will have to try some creative things to get these devices to work because your laptop was not designed to run Vista or W7.

No matter how it is, your laptop will not be able to run Windows Aero because the graphics card does not meet the hardware requirements.

First the graphics... Download and run this driver.  You will probably get an error not supported operating system.

    Conclusion of any windows error.

    FTP://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp34501-35000/sp34749.exe

Go to Device Manager and click on the video controller needing drivers.   Click on the driver tab, click on set to update driver.

Select her browse my computer for driver software option and find the folder of the driver that was created when you ran the file.

This file will be located in C:\SWSetup\sp34749.

Make sure that the include subfolders is selected and the driver should install.  Then restart.

Audio: You will have to hope that the audio driver XP works page for the support of your laptop.  Try to install manually if auto installation does not work.   If navigating to the folder of the driver does not work, let me know and I will give you further instructions to select the specific file to install.  I think that this issue goes into C:\Dell from what I remember, when I got a computer Dell laptop.

    http://www.Dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/drivers/DriversDetails?driverId=YKWJ1 & osCode = WW1 & starts = 2731108845 & languagecode = in & CategoryID = to the

Wireless.  This will require a manual installation.  Download and unpack the first file in a folder.

Navigate to the folder decompressed from the network controller using the same procedure that you did for the graphics.

  • Inspiron 537 s - must I now buy an external DVD drive?

    Hello

We have upgraded this s Inspiron 537 desktop computer to windows 10. It fitted perfectly and works great, BUT the DVD drive is no longer recognized or find anywhere within windows 10 [in 'My Computer', or the Device Manager]. However, it appears in the BIOS. The drive is a Hitachi HL GH50N. It worked perfectly with the upgrade to Windows 7.

Weeks become months soon and we have tried everything we can find. This includes editing the registry of Microsoft [in EnumDevice1, change, type 1 in the value data box]. Made no difference. Went to Dell and downloaded the update of the firmware for this GH50N drive several times [5], but the file will never open, or enter the run mode using any & all the programs in this PC. The only one who tries to open it is Windows image viewer, but it just sits in the mode of loading forever. We have also disconnected the cables of the drive, rebooted, then plugged in. Did not help of course. We can hear the drive spin upward and work very well.

If after all this, might be easier for us to buy a car cheap external usb DVD so that we can turn a casual program disc when you need? We get ' Las [:-(

Thanks a lot for all the help you can be. You care.

Sounds like the DVD player has not, better to replace it, you can install another internal DVD drive, or use an external USB drive, your choice.

  • Inspiron 6000 can not see any hard drive.

Inspiron 6000 can not see any hard drive.

Readers can be seen and accessed by other machines.

The BIOS seems to be set correctly, not that there is much that can be done for her.

Seems that the motherboard is the question.

  • Inspiron 6000 new hard drive is not compatible with the old

I just bought a drive hard 2.5 "new for my Inspiron 6000, a Seagate Momentus 5400.4 (250 GB).  The interface does not seem compatible, unfortunately.

My computer is already more than 3 years old and I replace with a HD 2 years expansion, simply unplug the old, switching on the connector and plug the new. They must have changed the interface on the new readers!

My question: is it likely, I just need a different connector, or is the new HD totally incompatible?   I have this spec should I ask the manufacturer of HD in order to ensure that a new HD fits?

    Thank you

  • Inspiron 6000 - won't start Windows - Blue Screen of Death - the hard drive is Toast! Help me!

I have a Dell Inspiron 6000 2-1/2 years, with XP Media Center.  Last night at the start, he went to the Blue Screen of Death.  I tried to restart about 10 times, each time by selecting a variety such as 'use last known good Configuration, Safe Mode, Etc.' nothing works.  Get to the point where the windows flag is waving in the wind (may be waving goodbye?) and then hangs at Blue Screen of Death.

To make matters worse, this is the only hard drive, I have not saved for a few months and I can't seem to find my recovery/boot drive... I swear to you that I made a copy when you are prompted 2-1/2 years ago?

in any case, I started press F12 and got to the dell diagnostic interface.  I ran the tests in the Section of the blue screen, and almost all categories of hard drives contained errors.  I tried Googling some of them and almost all of the shots indicate disk hard death is imminent.

So, anyone have any ideas how I can:

    1 retrieve the data

    2. get Windows transferred to another hard drive (without having to buy a whole new copy)

Any help is appreciated deeply... only 3 weeks until final and just lost a huge amount of assignments for my grad. school...

    Thank you

  • I have a Dell Inspiron 1525. The player/cd-DVD drive will not work. The help section it says it is (code 10). The drivers seem to be installed. Can you help me please? Operating system is Windows Vista Home Premium

I tried the support centre and followed their advice, but no luck yet.

    Hello

Description of errors related to the 10 Code that generates the Device Manager in Windows on computers
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/943104/

Please make all below even if you have done some before as it is often the set of operations which solves the problem.

    Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double-click on the device - driver tab - click
Update the drivers (this will probably do nothing) - then RIGHT click the drive - UNINSTALL - REBOOT
This will refresh the default driver stack.

Then, work your way through these - don't forget the drive might be bad, could be a loose cable or
slight corrosion on the contacts (usually for a laptop) and other issues.

CD/DVD drive does not appear in Windows Vista, or you receive this error during the installation of Windows Vista after booting from the DVD (AHCI)

Drive CD - R or CD - RW Drive is not recognized as a recordable device

Another possibility is that the cables are loose. Remove ALL power, then make sure that the cables in both
ends. Remove and replace, do not just tight. For laptops, you can often clean power and
contacts data with a pencil eraser.

    Hope these helps.

  • CD/DVD installation XP in Inspiron 6000 problem

I need to reinstall my inspiron 6000 with the OS CD it came with: Windows xp service pack 2, but after formatting the disc, it starts to load files from the XP disk for HDDs. He came to approximately 30% and stops. He tells me "Setup cannot copy the file: cinemst2.sys" it gives me options to start again, ignore the file or quit the installer. I chose to start over and I get the same thing. The cd is new and original. I try also with the other disk.

    What should I do?
