CDMA and GSM capacity.

If I buy an iPhone 6, Plus 6 or, say, the Verizon service that is CDMA, can eventually move to a GSM network on the same phone. In other words are fully compatible with both systems and phones not dedicated to one used at the time of purchase.

Yes and no.

A little explanation:

While all iPhones since the 4S have included both CDMA and GSM equipment, allowing them to be used on any GSM or CDMA based, medium

It's a regular carriers CDMA to activate not only sold iPhones not specifically for them on their networks.

So if you were to buy say an iPhone AT & T, Sprint and Verizon would have in the past not activate on their service at all.

Recently the new legislation therefore makes will now Verizon activate iPhone 6s and more 6s on their networks, even if it is not sold especially for them.

Not sure if Sprint did this also.

Another issue to consider when buying an iPhone for a specific carrier or in a specific carrier store, the iPhone is locked to that carrier and requires unlocking if you want to be able to use it with other GSM providers.  (CDMA is not unlock, and a based Verizon iPhone never can be used with the service of Sprint CDMA and vice versa).

Unlock may never be authorized by the carrier in which the iPhone is locked.  So an AT & T locked iPhone can only be unlocked by AT & T.

In the United States the only source of unlocked iPhones is Apple themselves. If you buy an iPhone at home at full price, it will be unlocked and can be used with any carrier mobile PHONE of your choice.

Buy an iPhone at a reduced price with a 2-year contract with a particular carrier means that the iPhone will be locked to that carrier, and only that carrier can unlock for use with other providers.

IPhones unlocked, either from Apple or those properly unlocked by the carrier to which they have been locked in, will never lock to another carrier.

If you buy a Verizon iPhone at full price with Apple, it will be unlocked and can be used with any GSM carrier. If you buy at a discount with a 2 year contract from Verizon or Apple, it can be locked to Verizon, and you will need the requirements of Verizon to unlock.

There is really no such thing as a "CDMA SIM". Some WCDMA carriers use something as a SIM card. To the best of my knowledge, no iPhone support WCDMA.

It seems that if your phone is GSM so it gives you this error message. Your friend uses a CDMA carrier, but a GSM SIM in his phone for international roaming.

  • Difference between file system capacity and the capacity of the disks in Capacity Planner reports

    Hello

I had to go on my Capacity Planner tool training soon, but I have a question on the front that frustrates me. In the evaluation report that comes out of the tool after the analysis, a use of disc section, which lists all the servers for analysis there. A column of this report is directed to file system capacity, another disk capacity. In all cases, the first is less than the latter. What is the exact meaning of these labels?

Some of the numbers differ substantially between the columns, for example 20 GB for a capacity of 36 GB of disk space for a server and file system. He said that only 20 GB to 36 GB disk is formatted/partitioned to use?

    As previously stated:

Disk capacity is 36 GB - physically, there are 36 GB of storage.

File system is logical capacity - the amount of space used by files on the disks.

File system and the capacity of the disks will never match because fees General table of file.

    I hope this helps.

You are the very welcome, Justin.

    Yes, that's correct. 2 x 8 GB PC3-10600 memory.

Memory will not run any more quickly than the FSB of the processor. Your CPU FSB is 1333 MHz.

For example: If you have installed 2 x 8 GB PC3-12600 (1666 MHz) memory, he would go only to 1333 MHz.

I don't think that there is no outside but except DDR5 memory in video cards.

But you can not mix DDR memory types, because they work with different voltages and the notches are cut at different places on DDR, DDR2, and DDR3 memory modules to prevent someone to install the bad memory in the PC and damage memory, motherboard or both because of the different voltages they run on.

  • 16 disks table PS5000 Sata - Raid for better performance and more capacity

    Good afternoon all

I studied the whims of the various raid options and I was wondering if anyone has any practical idea using tables PS5000 SATA?  Basically, the table will backup disks to virtual machines as well as Raid would be preferable for the performance and capacity?  I was thinking 50 Raid or Raid 6, that the table is at a distance of my office in one data center so that there could be 2 failures before the disaster...

    Thank you very much

    Eric

    Hi Eric,.

'best' depends entirely on the expected I/O model.  Small random writes should use R10.  RAID50 is usually a good compromise on space and performance.  But it has the risk of a double RAIDset faillée down.

Another factor is that the PS5000 is end of life.  No support, firmware or parts of long term.  Help to off the shelf drives add uncertainty to the reliability of the table.   I would never use one of these for primary production so data.  To provide the best protection in this case, I would use only RAID6.   R10 would be down, but may suffer and failed with two failed disks in the mirror of the same value.

    Kind regards

  • BlackBerry Smartphones AT & T Blackberry "BOLD" switch between 3 G, Edge and GSM

My blackberry "BOLD" is falling like crazy and usually late calls because he's constantly switch from 3G to Edge to GSM.  It does that I'm still here in front of you at home.  Begins with 4 bars of 3G and then falls at 3, then 2, then 1, then Edge, then back to 3G (1 bar).  The signal disappears just as if the wind was blowing around

This means that calls are lost, don't transmit emails and web pages not loading.  This happens throughout the day.

    Does anyone have any suggestions?

  • Content of article and navigating capacity AEMM app demos

The Manager of Adobe Mobile blog experience there are examples that illustrate the AEMM features, but I am not following article content and navigation of these applications, or maybe why they were created with AEMM (as opposed to Córdoba, SE).

Are these apps HTML page unique. or navigation are used as a Storyboard?

Axis41 has a hotel booking application.  What are the contents of the article of this app?  There are no table of contents, or which don't has been customized as the "M" in the corner at the top left?

    Axis41_feature-image.jpeg

Perficient has a commitment patient app.  Table of contents disappeared from the login screen, then appears in other screenshots.  What are the articles here, or what is shown in the table of contents?

    Perficient_feature-image.jpeg

Similarly, in the application of DuPont agricultural products, I can understand how the articles can be used; However, the navigation in the demo does not seem to use the table of contents, featuring highly personalized navigation:

    Screen Shot 2016-08-24 at 9.51.14 AM.png

    Screen Shot 2016-08-24 at 9.51.20 AM.png

For not to bite too much here, but I'm not quite sure I'm following more precisely why AEMM is operated as the solution for these applications.  It seems as much functionality as content highlighted in these demos.

But more importantly, how the articles and navigation of the AEMM app models used in these solutions?  At no time I don't see someone knocked on the table of contents slide in navigation.

There are a couple of different UI paradigms going on in these demos.

Apps Mobile AEM on demand (MOD) can enjoy building browse Page UI to navigate through the content.   This enables the content owner to define a page layout that uses the metadata of the content of the app to generate a user interface of navigation maps.   The Dupont UI is a good example of this.  Cards shown in the photos are displayed according to the rules defined in the layout of the application and are led by articles and collections of the app.

You can also define a user interface completely customized in an HTML article.   In this case, the entire user interface is created in a single article HTML using the API of available content.   Article then overrides the browse Page default UI by being the first thing in the default collection.  Axis41 demo works this way

  • Train with security and export capacity

I need help step by step on how to fix the problem I have with the forms and data collection.

We have created a PDF form and configure security so that the form cannot be modified.  It's an official form, so we can have people who are making changes.

When sent to the users, they could fill out the form fields but will not record it.

We saved as a PDF form extended to activate the drive carrier.

When completed and sent by e-mail as a PDF file saved, I could not remove security without making one to save the file.

This makes the whole process because we collect about 200 of these forms and since it is not possible to automate the process of SaveAs, we would have to do this one at a time.

At this point, we could remove the security of all files and merge data from the worksheet form.

I'm doing this all wrong?  There must be a better way to do this.

You don't specify what you have in place, so I'll assume that you have not selected security settings: 'enable copying of text, images and other content.

If you do not select this, Acrobat will not allow you to extract the data from the form, whether or not the form is Reader-enabled. If you do not enable it, you will be able to extract the data from the form and the function 'Merge data in spreadsheet files' work.

  • DRS and HA Capacity-Planning

We have a cluster DRS/HA of the four armies and so far it plays well for us.   Control Panel says we could potentially lose up to two guests and retain all the customers who live on them.  I have HA settings to not allow constraint violations.  Does this mean that I can continue to add hosts, and the VI software to prevent me to add too, such that we could lose a host is no longer and keep the guests?

I'm curious to know how I can load on the cluster before you start seeing performance issues and still be able to tolerate the complete loss of a single host.

I think what you mean by "adding more hosts" creating virtual computers, not you? If so, you can continue to create without any problem, in time that the HA cluster it can't handle more it will give advice you, given that you have configured the cluster to not allow any violation of constraint. This occurs when you try to turn on a virtual computer that will violate any constraints (cpu, memory). HA always respect all the resource pools, configuration of resources to virtual machines and amount of memory for each virtual computer.

Now, you should not be confused with computing power, since 1 VM that are really time CPU can eat as much as an ESX can give. I mean, both of ESX failure, you will notice a small reduced CPU power, since you will have multiple VMs per host until you retrieve the lost ESX.

    Hope this can help you.
