Center of HP Solution missing components Windows 8

I've just upgraded my PC to Windows 8 Pro (X 64) I downloaded solution Center software for my HP C309a all in one and discovered that there is only half of the available elements that were in the version of Windows 7. Specifically printing to disc function has disappeared, no idea why, please?

OK, after a few hours of trying different things, I found a solution to get the FULL version of the software to work with Win8

  1. Download the old version of the Solution Center (PS_AIO_05_C309a_Net_Full_Win_enu_140_047) and extract with winrar or similar.
  2. In the extracted files, navigate, and run "Setup.exe" in compatibility mode for Windows 7.
  3. The final phase of the connection to the printer "Setup" report an error of incompatibility and begin to uninstall the software.
  4. Stop the software uninstalling itself with the task (Ctrl + Alt + Delete) Manager.
  5. Download the latest version of the software for Windows 8 (PS_AIO_05_C309a_Net_Full_Win_WW_140_408) and operate normally.

When the solution Center installs the most recent version, it will keep existing components but will update the drivers and connection utility allowing his be set up correctly.

When you open the center of Solutionion now, it displays the same complete package like the old version, including printing on CD/DVD suite, HP Photosmart essentials 3.5 and others all work with Windows 8.

Of course it would have been nice if HP might have been embarrassed to release a full update of the software, and not the version half baked, which they have made available on its Web site.

Somebody has had similar experiences and found a solution?

    Thank you.

Used to have a tool just to do this, called the Windows Installer Microsoft Cleanup utility.  Apparently, however, when this tool has been used (I think with MS Office), removes sometimes more he was supposed to, and that's why Microsoft has removed the tool of its download servers.

The Windows Installer Cleanup utility is always available from http://majorgeeks.com/Windows_Installer_CleanUp_Utility_d4459.html , or you can use the free Revo Uninstaller.  Before using or the other of these tools, create a restore point from the system, backup the registry with C:\WINDOWS\ERUNT, or (if you can afford) creates a full disk image or a clone - just in case.

Here are the usual directions to perform a "clean installation" of iTunes, based on Support of Apple HT1926 article.

Go to control panel > Add/Remove programs
    Remove these applications:
    1 Apple Software Update
    2. Apple Mobile Device Support
    3 Hello
4 iPod for Windows (this may or may not exist, be it, it is not necessary, then we can remove it)
    5 iTunes
    6 QuickTime

Open my computer > C: > Program Files
    Delete this files (if present)
    1 iPod
    2 iTunes
    3 QuickTime

    Empty your temp directory:
Open my computer > C: > Documents & Settings > username > Local Settings and delete the contents of the folder called "Temp".

If you don't see the local settings, enable hidden files:
Tools > Folder Options > view tab
Select Show Hidden Files & folder, and then click OK

Once this file is empty, restart the computer

[See note above on where to get the cleanup utility]

Download & install the Windows Installer Cleanup utility:
    Not here--> http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301/
Launch the utility: start > programs > Windows Installer Clean Up
Select one of the applications mentioned above and click on remove

Also use Revo Uninstaller to remove its applications listed that remain.

    Restart the computer
Download & reinstall iTunes from here: http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/

  • Comment to recover missing components after having moved from "Adobe" from program files and program files on another hard drive internal?

    Hello

I know that the title is long, but I'll try to be clear. I am currently working a lot on Premiere Pro CS6, since I else riding between movies and my drive Windows C is saturated. Jso got the real good idea to create an Adobe folder on one of my other internal drives and y 'cut and paste' (the thing never to do...) "Adobe" from program files and program files, in order to address space. So I created a file Program Files and another program with them each in a subfolder 'Adobe'. Following this bad initiative, opening again my firstsoftware, you can imagine that I had several bugs no one telling me that it lacked components (obviously) and my renderings, which once on two resulted in a "the software has stopped Monday and needs to close" (trickier).

I have the coup d'etat switched back the folders on drive C (story of a little more drive the nail), the missing components error message no longer appears, however problems rendering and stop persistent software.  Knowing that about 15 GB is miraculously freed himself... not what is more difficult, but also probably explains the bugs...:)

My question is the following should I uninstall and reinstall (Creative suite) where there's a you it another solution pour everything in order? Knowing it will take anyway that my C drive is dé-sature a bit.

Thanking you sincerely pour your help, your guidance, your time.

You cannot move a folder from one drive to another program (as you know) because that destroys the links that the operating system must have in order to run a program

Disable this feature to unlock your serial number... Uninstall... Install fresh... also, the Adobe programs do not LIKE to install other drivers

Move the data files to another disk to free up space on your C drive

C drive space http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1007934?tstart=0 see answer 4 for the parameter that you must manually change... and then delete the old temporary files

    Help!

Hello @Jörg63, hope you are well!

Welcome to the HP Forum! It is a wonderful location to converse with the community, get help and advice.

I understand that you are having problems after update to Win 10 of scanning to PDF. I would like to help.

I'm afraid that HP Solution center may not work in the Windows 10 environment due to some compatibility problems.

I suggest that you use HP Scan and capture request instead. Capture and scanning HP is a simple application that captures photos or documents to your computer's built-in camera or scanning HP device.  These images can be previewed, edited, saved, and shared to other applications as well.

Go to http://hp.care/2bUVkrw to download and install the windows scanning and Capture app.

Please let me know if that solves the problem, or if you need assistance

  • [SOLVED] Optical drive empty missing in Windows Explorer, but not in the folder of the computer or Device Manager. Windows 7 x 64 HP Pavilion dv6-3032tx

The problem: the optical drive [cd/dvd burner] icon is missing in Windows Explorer when no media inserted in the drive. Even if the optical drive icon in Windows Explorer when a disc is inserted in the drive.

However, the optical drive appears in 'Device Manager' and in 'Computer' folder or no media is inserted in the reader as to the latter.  This doesn't seem to be a hardware problem.  It is a Windows 7 problem [or character?], which seems to be set [or omitted] in Windows 8.

Here are the step by step process to solve this problem:

    1. open Windows Explorer [click on "Start" and type "Windows Explorer" in the search box, then click on the first result to the Summit, which is "Windows Explorer"]
    2. in Windows Explorer, click on "Organize" (top left of the window).
    3. in the click from the drop-down list 'folder and search options '.
    4. at the bottom of the window that comes up, under the "Navigation" tick to choose 'show all files '.

I need to do this every time I have to reinstall Windows 7 x 64 Home Premium on my HP Pavilion dv6-3032tx laptop.

  • Whenever I start the system complains that the following files are missing, c:\\Windows\System32\igfxpers.exe, igftray.exe and hkcmd.exe.

    Original title: files missing error

Whenever I start the system complains that the following files are missing, c:\\Windows\System32\igfxpers.exe, igftray.exe and hkcmd.exe. Everything started after I ran scan and scan deleted some files infected. However, I can use the system. Where and how to download the missing files? Or how the system does not deliver messages?

    Simon

Two of the three files are probably part of the malware infection and not the files infected. The third is probably the same details in this link:
    http://www.Runscanner.NET/file/Hkcmd.exe.html

To identify what loads when you start using Autoruns (freeware from Microsoft).
    http://www.Microsoft.com/technet/sysinternals/ProcessesAndThreads/Autoruns.mspx

With Autoruns, you can deselect an item which disables startup, or you can click with the right button on an item, then remove it. If you clear the check box that you can check back for re - activate the element. It is an approach much safer than editing the registry and better than using msconfig. You will find the three points and they will have a description 'file is missing' against everyone. Your antivirus software has removed the files, but not the startup entries in the registry. All you need to do is delete the entry using Autoruns to eliminate the error messages.

Another useful feature of the program is that you can click with the right button on an item and select search online to get information about the selected item.
