Centro and wmv

Recently bought a Centro (Sprint). PC under Windows XP Pro and Outlook 2007. Problem: when I try to open a wmv file, message "the application that you need to view this type of file is not on your phone."  Is there a demand?

You can search for a player who will play WMV on Palm OS files.

Another option is to convert the WMV files to a format supported by Centro. Check out the video players on the site Web of Kinoma.

He says that Kinoma producer 3.1 can convert WMV files to play on the Palm OS.

    Hello

Thank you for contacting Microsoft Community.
Unfortunately, this feature is not available in Windows. The feature is limited to media files only and that the support for multimedia files is available in Windows (such as jpg, mp3, wmv), without any obligation to a third party software must be installed (as for the flv file).
  • Surface RT read .mov and .wmv files

My RT Surface, largely healed a litany of problems that I posted previously, still has a problem I forgot to mention before: the native video app or app PressPlay play all my .mov and .wmv files. No problems with mp4s; they play very well.

Is this just a limitation of Windows RT or a particular problem with my device? I recently did a clean reinstall, and the problem persists, just like before. The files in question are stored on the MicroSD card.

    Hello

WMV 9 is supported in Windows RT.

Take a look at the files supported on the surface from the link:

What types of files are supported on the Surface?

  • Another vote for the restoration of rendered support H.264 and WMV

    Hello!

I like the new features that have been added to Adobe CC 2014.

However, to remove the ability to make H.264 (MP4) or WMV is essentially the program useless for me.

SOUL added to the workflow process is a huge waste of time.

If anything, I think that new versions of the software Add would support other rendering formats, not Remove them?

If you could add H.264 and WMV support, I would really appreciate it?

    Thank you.

  • Windows Media Player 12 couldn't play .wma and .wmv files

    Hello

I use Windows 7 (x 64) now, but I have a problem with Windows Media Player (Version 12.0.7100.0) when he could not play all files in .wma or .wmv format.
    It's so funny with me.

    What could I do now?

    Thank you
    Anthony Nguyen

    Hello Anthony,.

To resolve this problem, use the tool (SFC.exe) System File Checker.  To do this, follow these steps:

    1. open an elevated command prompt. To do this, clickStart, click principally made programs, accessories, right-click Guest, and then click Run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on allow.

    2. type the following command and press ENTER:

    sfc/scannow

The sfc/scannow command. analyzes all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with appropriate Microsoft versions.

  • Centro and mysterious disappearance of HotSync

I use a Verizon Center on an Intel Mac v.10.4.11. In order to synchronize with iCal and AddressBook Mac, I use Missing Sync for Palm OS v.6.0.4.

I recently started to the top of my Mac and noticed that the icon in the dock for HotSync Manager had changed to a question mark, which means that the location of the actual application was unknown. I searched my machine and found a file (in a place I'm saving myself for the files, I'm not sure I want trash yet) containing an earlier version of the Palm OS software that I had used with an old m515, I used to own. I took the HotSync Manager to this folder application and moved to the current Palm OS application folder in the Applications folder on my hard drive. I received the following error message when you try to start HotSync Manager:

    Failed to launch application

The application 'HotSync Manager' could not be launched because of a shared library error: ""<>".

I don't quite know what the next step is, since Missing Sync for Palm OS will not start now. Help, please! I know that this will eventually become a problem, because my Centro acted weird lately, and I'm going to need my software based on the Office for the full backup I need it to be. Thanks for any assistance with ideas on what to try.

Well, so to think I'm a patient person! I forced Missing Sync to stop smoking, disabled Antivirus Norton autoprotect, turned off the firewall of Mac and restarted. I then started Missing Sync up again once and voila! Everything is OK, in place and up to date, much to my relief. Thanks for everything looks, and I hope the information is useful if someone else has similar problems.

  • Centro and Ubuntu 9.10 Hotsync

    Hi all

I go to 9.10 over the weekend and have a problem with connecting to my Palm Centro.

I use ubuntu from 8.04 and have been synchronize my Palm (with jPilot and Palm Desktop on Windows XP host (in VBox) regularly.) (not without initial problems usual .)

After the upgrade, I've synced it once - sync reported an error with a voice memo and ended. My calendar and todo on Palm has updated correctly. However after only instance, now every time I try to plug my Palm using the USB key... the Palm restarts! I can't understand why OS upgrade in anyway would affect this particular USB connection.

My other USB sticks work properly (and Palm USB sycn happens on other machines - RHEL and Mac). So, it must be something to do with the USB settings on 9.10, I guess.

Someone else had this problem? Any help is appreciated I need to sync my calendar and tasks on a daily basis.

    Thanks in advance.

You can do a test, try to do a sync after killing the process modem-Manager. Has worked for me, I tried to connect to the Internet.

  • Problem with first items 11 and WMV

I have WMV files created by Photoshop Elements. Windows Media Player problems running these files. I used to be able to import correctly into Premiere Elements (9, 10 and 11); However, when I now import in first 11 items, I can only see the bottom of the video. The top is black. Other formats that I tried to import (mpg, mp4, avi, mov, and mts) all work fine.

In addition, I tried to convert these WMV files at a time using Media Encoder CS5 and CS6. They too, only appear and deal with the lower part of the video.

    I am running Windows 7.

    Does anyone have any suggestions?

  • evolution of the coast on the .avi and .wmv files

Have windows vista 64 bits, windows media player 11.  Have the movies, photos and music on my computer.  Have a PS3 in the living room that I use to watch movies, look at pictures and listen to music.  Everything works fine as long as the media is in the correct format.  My son has a PSP using remote play to sign in on the PS3 and it can watch movies, etc. on his PSP.

Problem:  Can not figure out how to limit some of the media to keep my son 8 years of viewing/listening to him.  Parental controls on the PSP, etc don't allow you to restrict the DVD and Blu - Ray content.  In WMP, I noticed that you can limit the content that is visible to other network devices to "unrated", which could solve the problem if I could change the rating.  All video files just to say "unrated" and it doesn't seem to be a way to change this.

Question:  How can I limit some media files so that my son can not simply watch r rated movies etc. in addition to remove them all together?

To order a video, make a right click, choose 'rate' and choose what notes you want.

  • PLM Centro and Windows 7 with 64 bit

I'm considering buying a computer HP DV6-1350US, with Intel Core 2 Duo, 64-bit with Windows 7. I'll always be able to use my current Palm Hot Sync Centro. I learn 64bits denies the possibility of Hot Sync. If so is there a solution available now or in the future? Or I have to buy a new phone?

Hello dadoc, we mean that Win7 behaves a lot like Vista, in many ways.  Unfortunately, Palm or access (the owners of Palm Desktop) seem to have an interest in upgrading the software to become compatible with the 64-bit versions.

Please see several threads 'Sticky' big at the top of this section about synchronizing with Vista64.  Bottom line will be that you can sync, but only via a wireless (BlueTooth) method.  Your computer will need the same way with built-in BlueTooth or a USB BlueTooth 'dongle' addition

I recently bought English-Russian dictionary, but my Centro could not recognize Cyrillic fonts (instead, it shows the 'strange' letters). I know how to solve this problem on Windows OS. Could someone help me teach my Centro to read Russian please?

Thank you very much... I had the same solution of mobile systems - dictioanary seller (http://www.palm-dictionaries.com/PiLoc/Russian_PiLoc.html)... I really appreciate your response - it was useful.

The. WMV file may be corrupted somehow...
and probably is unseekable. IOW... If you play
the file in Windows Media Player, you can not
Drag the search bar to advance the video.

If you want to experiment with the repair of the

    worth a try:

  • Minitones and Centro

I have a palm centro and I tried to make mp3 ringtones but I can't get minitones to recognize the mp3s I transferred. I've read a few other posts on the new itunes mp3 format does not, so I did my music .wav files and minitones is not always grateful their. PTunes plays very well and they are on an SD card. Someone at - it any other suggestions for me?

I think that the OP is not trying to 'save' a ringtone, but try to make to an existing song using MiniTones.

MiniTones looking for songs on your card in the folder / audio.  It will not work with .wav files, only of the mp3 without DRM.  Don't forget that your songs are in / audio.

There is another program that looks very similar to Minitones that does the same thing - "ringtones":

  • After Effects CC 2014 - removal of exporters H.264, MPEG-2, WMV, FLV, F4V and SWF - WHY!

By reading the features of the CC2014 legacy, I noticed the following:

"withdrawal of exporters in H.264, MPEG-2, WMV, FLV, F4V and SWF After Effects"

    It IS IS RIDICULOUS!

    NO FLV!
WHAT DO YOU EXPECT THE USERS TO IMPORT INTO FLASH?
IF no FLV export is available for after effects CC 2014, there is NO WAY to EMBED a flv in flash! (Linking is NOT always what is wanted!)

    NO H264!
    DID YOU GO CRAZY!

    BREAK WORKFLOWS!

    IT IS RIDICULOUS!

Any chance to restore these features so that it gets updated to it's worth?

  • Just bought... and concerned suggestions?

Hey everyone, I just find a very good deal for the Fuze 4 GB so I had to enter my 3gen ClickWheel iPoop account took a hit this winter with the severe cold (Yes, I'm too lazy to bring it inside every night and the battery has to pay the price). Not to mention my player current MP3 is just old, unstylish, no color, quite poorly to the comfortable/heavy/large workout with, etc...

I wish that was my rocket w / a card 8 GB SD by Thursday or Friday... what I read that it's a solid set product. I was wondering if I can prepare if necessary... it uses the rocket is music like everything straight up. MP3 /. AMM and. MPG /. WMV... always nice to be able to simply drag and drop from the PC to the player to save time.

It comes with a car charger, if... This is not a specific type of brand/model of charger... always nice to be able to use 1 of the abundance of extra USB Chargers pushed away in the glove box of my truck. I intend using the headphone jack on the auxiliary input on the face of my truck cdplayer (so totally beats these cheap tools transmitter when it comes down to the quality).

Ahhh I can't wait to finally get a new MP3 player, 4GB + 8 GB (sd) should be barely sufficient for tunes I choose wisely but also include a film or two, but no more than that at the same time... So let me know whar yas think!

Music wise YUP! Its just so easy. MPG and WMVs you will need to use a program called Sansa Media Converter to convert files in a format of care who likes the "rocket" and add them to the player. This program is a bit of pain, in order to verify the Sansa Media Converter Board for info on that.

A genaric with a USB port car charger should work just to ensure that , he meets these specifications.

    INPUT voltage - 100-240 v AC 47-63 Hz 200MA

    OUTPUT V - 4, 5 - 9.5V 800MA Max

Something to look at is coverage of the screen and a case to prevent scratches. I have a Zagg InvisiShield display cover and a Silicone case. For the screen cover just search for Zagg Invisishield on Google and in the case of the Sansa Fuze accessories on Amazon search
