Change audio from stereo to mono I have 14 items!

Hello world! I have a problem that I really need help!

I just changed my first Pro CC for first items 14 and I'm using a Windows pc.

Due to a sound problem, I would like to change the audio from stereo to Mono, due to a problem with noise of crackling on portable devices using micro RODE NTG - 2. (for more information on the problem of mic check this video Audio problems using a Rode NTG - 2 condenser shotgun microphone. - YouTube). This problem is solved through audio from stereo to mono installation and I did it with success on first Pro CC by hitting shift + g key and then to change to mono - I followed by reading this comment (below) on a video about this problem...

Audio Issue RØDE MIC.PNG

Is there a possible way to do on first elements 14! I really need help, like his is very important for a video

Use the right to fill with the left or left fill with right audio effect. This will take one of your stereos and apply it on the two channels.

    Hi all

I've recently been conversion former years 60 tracks from stereo to mono CD, do I have to use the EQ button at all? Any help would be appreciated as this is all new to me

    See you soon

    Paul

Difficult to answer this question completely, sometimes with the hardware of the 1960s recorded in 'stereo', when you reduce it in mono by adding tracks, things disappear! Basically it's the same and out of step in each channel, it cancels the when added together. And I've heard some really weird to happen over the years.

But the direct answer to your question is that by nature, you don't need EQ anything . If you do not like the sound you have, then of course you can change this with EQ if you want, but my experience is that usually, it does not help with this stuff; If it sounds crap, then when you have EQ'ed, it sounds like crap EQ'ed - if you see what I mean...

There is more, you can do some of this material, which is sometimes useful - but I don't think that this applies to convert to mono - it's more to do in obtaining more reasonable stereo images.

  • In the first 11 elements, can I convert a stereo, one mono audio track?

The microphone that I use on my digital SLR when video recording is a mono microphone (Canon 5 d MkII dslr, Hama lapel MIC). When I import video in first items 11, audio playback in mono - is there a way I can convert the audio in stereo?

    Thank you.

    Tom

    Welcome to the forum.

In fact, you cannot convert a mono source in true stereo, because it requires two microphones., but you can convert it to 2 mono channels. The difference is that you have the same signal on both channels, unlike stereo ture, where signals differ according to the micro system.

According to Steve, you can fill out to the left, or fill right, or you can just drag another Instance of your Audio Clip to a different Audio track mono. In the Audio Mixer Panel, you can pan to the left and one right.

Also, just like pre your mono 2 channels output mix, it will give you 2-Channel Audio signal even in the two ways, if you let the Pan toward the Center.

    Good luck

  • Audio stereo and Mono - why?

I tink a feature the more annyoying of the first is the way it handles the audio tracks.  I'm curious to know if it's just me or if someone else out there he is disturbed by the same thing.

I work on show a mini with a lot of music, sound effects and often 4 different microphones for actors at the same time.  Given that I have record 2 microphones on each cam (R and L), I like to import everything as mono clips so it breaks to the top of my audio and I can label that is on what layer/track.

Sometimes, I find myself with 20 different audio tracks.  Not because I NEED 20 layers, but because some of my SFX and stereo music and others such as mono and I cannot put a mono-clip on a stereo clip, and vice versa.  This is the part that drives me crazy.  I might need to add a second 1 swoosh SFX for some text coming and I must go to the layer 12 (scroll down way), when just below the video, there are 11 empty layers 'available', but cannot be used because they do not accept the placement of this track because it is in stereo when the clip is mono.  Make sense?  So, really, instead of 20 tracks, I could EASILY shoot with 10 first HAD a way to not be so fussy on the question of whether a track is stereo or mono and capable of handling just everything you dish it.

Premiere Pro finally got away with format-specific effects.  Now, instead of 3 fill effects (mono, stereo and 5.1), it is fair to fill, and it works on any track.  It wouldn't hurt if PP is went even further in the next version and went agnostic on the tracks themselves.

Make ' em all mono, with a right of option 'direction' in the header.

  • In Movie Maker, I want to place a photo on a part of a video without stopping the audio from the video.

It's all in Windows Movie Maker (Windows Vista)

    Example:

First of all, I want to have a video (with audio),
change photo (with audio video) and then continue to the same as before (with audio) video

I have a video with audio.
I want to put an image instead of the Visual part of the video.
But in doing so, I want to still the audio from the video to play while the image is on the screen.

Please help me, I need the answer as soon as possible.

    Hi benlach,

Welcome on the site of Microsoft Windows Vista Community.  I suggest you try these methods

    Method 1:

    1. drag a copy of the video on the audio / music.

    2. her completely to the left on the track.

    3. right click / Mute the Audio track... now the audio will be separated from the video but still play correctly.

    4. divide the video and to delete an article of the same duration as it turned again.

    Method 2:

1 divide your video clip on each side of the area where will be the stills.

    2. now... drag the part cut on the audio / music. BTW... If you want to add a second 5 again... Remove 5 seconds of the video clip. (Info below on the separation if you need)

    3. slide your shots yet to the time line and drop them to the location where you have removed the video.

    4. the Audio clip on the audio / music can be dragged to the right or left to adjust its position.

    Info on splitting...

"Split a Clip in Movie Maker 2.1"

    1. drag the video clip on the timeline.

    2. play the video/audio by clicking on the 'Play' button under the display screen.

    3. you will see the playback indicator (vertical line) to move forward on the scenario.

    4. click on the "Pause" button at the location where you want to cut and type... CTRL + L or click the "Split" button at the bottom of the display screen. (You can also make adjustments by dragging the playback indicator)

    5. as the many coves that you want and delete unwanted items by right click / Delete.

And... Movie Maker 2.1 shows that all of the other images. To see all the pictures of Movie Maker 2 shows you all-other-frame. While you are editing project, Movie Maker Vista displays each image. It is generally not a problem ignoring middle managers, but sometimes you notice a flickering image in a clip that is a "stray", and you can not see or cut it out. If you apply the Slow - Down - half video effect to a clip in the timeline panel, see you then each image rather than everyone. You can see the frame problem and separate out. Remove the effect of the clamp to return to normal.

Let me know if that does or does not work. Good luck!

    Hope it will be useful.

    Thank you and best regards,

  • Unable to get any audio from webcams built in mic

I still can't get audio of my webcams built in mic, I have Windows Vista Home Basic desktop Dell 32 bit, I went into Control Panel and click on hardware and audio and I noticed that one of my card drivers sound is missing it was a microphone icon and he disappeared. I have an old microphone that I connected to microphone before and I did a sound check and it works very well and when I try to use my new webcams built in mic a pop up and it is said (cannot create audio filter). I made no changes to the computer, all my drivers have been updated. The name of my webcam is Gear head 5.0MP HD I tried everything to get the audio from webcams to work, I also made sure the mute was off and she was not dumb.

Now I know not which driver was missing as far as I know, it's a microphone that was present in the recording tab and he had a microphone and then icon the next day, that the driver had disappeared, I thought to go to the Device Manager, but I don't know which driver it is on and how to reinstall the driver.

I don't really know what to do and how to solve this problem, can you please help me.

So thank you for your time

On the sound, the record tab, tried to right click on the device, and then click 'Show damage disabled' or ' Show disconnected devices? If your microphone has shown, you can set as default.

To access the recording tab, right click on the speaker icon on the tray (Notification area), in the context menu that appears, click on "sound".

  • Change Audio routing after sequencing Multicam Multicam

Greetings - enough esoteric in question here, but bear with me.

I prefer to implement my sequences blocking with the setting of the order of routing audio all THE CAMERAS. This way, my A1, A2 and A3 audio stays on separate tracks when you drag my multicam sequence in a timeline.

Recently started working somewhere with several Deputy Chief editors, all of you who have their own means to configure multicams. Is there a way to achieve this same audio routing configuration when you use the Multicam Enable/Nested Sequence Workflow? You can change the settings for audio routing sequence afterwards in multicams? I tried to change Audio but gives me just additional tracks duplicate of the mixdown A1, A2, and A3.

Thanks for any help you can offer!

After struggling for a few days, I found a fix - create a new sequence multicam out of all taken view/audio you have, assign the parameters of the automatic sequence and audio for all cameras and mono. Then, you can duplicate this multi as much as you want and just paste the contents of the oldest Multis in there.

  • Remove the scratch audio from. MPG file

I have a file MPEG2 of the videographer with a stereo scratch 192 kHz Dolby Digital AC3 audio stream saved to the camera.  I have a new track audio file of Dolby Digital AC3 5.1 48 kHz 48 kHz, mixed to a multitrack recording was recorded in genlock with video.

I have created a project Encore CS5.1, adding video to the timeline, removed the audio track and put the new track surround audio replacement.

I've done this several projects before, but do turn a problem with this one because of the length of the video.   The project checklist yet complains that the project is too big for a 4.7 GB DVD without transcoding, however it would fit if the MPEG2 file was not the audio of unwanted follow embedded inside.

I really don't want to put the video through a new generation of transcoding.  Is there a way I can strip the audio from the MPEG2 without transcoding it AND replace the. Active MPG in the project again?  Or is it possible to replace the AC3 stream in the. MPG file with version 5.1 to produce an asset with which still accept as a replacement?

My desktop is Windows 7 x 64.   I tried using Avidemux 2.6 and still complained that the replacement was not of the same type; It's a moot point anyway because Avidemux has done a poor job of syncing the audio integrated video.

If I understand correctly what you describe, you cannot replace the file mpg as the asset unless it's another mpeg file. You need to demux the original, put the m2v to this process as the asset and create your project. Then add the 5.1 audio to this timeline.

  • Scanning audio from cassettes

Hi all, I wonder if I could trouble you with a few basic questions beginning.  I'm sure I could work this if I lived enough documents to support, but since I'm on a deadline on an immediate project any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have some old audio cassettes containing material having sentimental value than my family want me to scan and save to .wav or mp3 files.  Some time ago, I used 1.5 Audition for a similar project.  I decided to go to the Audition 3, which installed properly on my new Acer Aspire 5745 G computer laptop.

My plan was to play the tapes on an old Radio Shack tapes and player patch its output to the input of the microphone of the laptop.  The Platinum output tape seems not amplified (it was designed as a component of system - its release is a pair of RCA plugs).  So, although I have a RCA to 1/8 "stereo cable, I think I may need to run through a preamp?"

    A few questions: I wonder:

    (1) when I tried setting up a recording of the hearing session, warning came a box that said I currently have a driver of sound card on selected DirectSound (windows Sound of the hearing), and for best results, I must select an ASIO sound card driver via Edition > Audio Hardware Configuration.  I went there, but does not see any alternative to pilot.  What should I do?  I have to hunt around for a specific to the sound card in my laptop?  Any suggestions on how to proceed would be greatly appreciated.

    (2) once I have this solved, I figured I'd start a new session, hit ' Arm for Record "on tracks 1 and 2, click on the button Save and playback of the tape.  I notice that, in the left pane, it seems to be recorded on two files, follow 1_001.wav and monitoring 2_001.wav.  I want to end up with a single stereo file.  I have to configure differently?

    (3) does not seem that I would need a preamp between the turntable to cassette component and enter the laptop microphone?  I guess I could try it with and without, but was curious about what is typical.

    Thanks for any help possible.

Well, you have a number of questions.

First of all, don't worry too much about the Direct Sound vs ASIO warning.  Your integrated sound card probably does not have an ASIO driver and differences will make no real difference to a simple recording of two tracks.

However, you can see the microphone input on your laptop will not do what you want.  You're right that they released tape recorder is "not amplified" but it's still a "line source" rather than a microphone - and it will be something like 60 dB louder than a typical micro.  Don't worry if you're not familiar with "dB" - just take this to mean "much stronger."  You can be able to compensate by turning the levels down a long way... but you will work at the end of the beach where small moves on the level can make a great leap in the level.

The other problem you might have is that several portable microphone inputs are mono (not), designed for the type of microphone that you would use for working with Skype or Microsoft Live chat.  If this is the case, it is part of the reason why you get two mono channels recorded, rather than a single stereo track - the two ways to get exactly the same stream.

Normally, if you're in you're multitrack as it may seem, by clicking on the arrow at the right end of the input for channel selection you use you should have the choice between mono or stereo, and also of the source you're going to record.  Selecting stereo, you should get a single stereo track - but if my guess on the mono mic right, this won't help you much.

No, you don't need a preamp for a source line, but you may need a different sound adapter to let you take in a source stereo line level.  There are a lot out there - if you want to use microphones to record music it would be useful to make a decent, but if it's just your project of tape, something like a 202 Behringer or Alesis 'Linelink' would be probably everything you need and quite cheap.

    Hope this helps

    Bob
