Change IP on ASA 5505
Hi all
I wanted to know if someone can point me in the right direction as how to do below listed issue. I work with a small store in my town and they asked me to do and I didn't do anything until I was sure that I was right in what I was doing. Thanks in advance for your help and have a great day.

You must make sure, but it looks like they may be changing the public IP (WAN ip) on their and your ASA 5505 may be closing on the IP VPN tunnels. Ex:
If the WAP from remote offices VPN ip / ASA Conc is: 2.2.2.2
your ASA 5505 Lan - Lan tunnel may have something similar to config...

Hi all
First post on the forums. I have worked with Cisco ASA 5505 for a few months and I recently bought a 2nd ASA to implement tunnel VPN Site to Site. It seems so simple in the number of videos watched on the internet. But when I did he surprise it did work for me... I've removed the tunnels, a number of times and tried to recreate. I use the VPN Wizard in the SMA to create the tunnel. Both the asa 5505 of are and have the same firmware even etc..
I'd appreciate any help that can be directed to this problem please. Slowly losing my mind

There are some clear problems I see on a quick glance. These are not related to the actual VPN configuration but rather the NAT configurations.
All your configuration of NAT CLI format above are configured as manual NAT / double NAT in Section 1. This means that the appliance NAT configurations have been added to the same section of the NAT configurations and scheduling of the NAT inside this Section rules is the cause of the problem for the L2L VPN connection for some.
Here are a few suggestions on what to change

Finally, we remove the old rule that generated the ASDM. It would do the same thing if it has been moved to the top, but I generally find the creation of the 'object' with descriptive names easier on the eyes in the long term.
Other suggestions
These changes are not necessary with regard to the VPN L2L. Here are some suggestions how to clean a part of NAT configurations.

Contains the command "nat" "car after" because it moving this "nat" configuration to the bottom of the NAT rules. For this reason its less likely to cause problems in the future.

To my knowledge the old configuration that remove us is not used because the traffic would have matched PAT rule dynamic server yet rather than this rule which is later in the NAT configurations and would not be addressed.

I suggest trying the changes related to VPN L2L first NAT0 configurations and test traffic. So who gets the work of connectivity, then you could consider changing other NAT configurations. There are other things that could be changed also in what concerns THAT static NAT servers but that probably better left for another time.

I see the acl sheep in the wrong way. I mean 192.168.254 are your pool VPN and 192.168.1.0 your local LAN.
The acl must be:
sheep - in extended access-list permit ip 192.168.1.0 255.255.255.0 192.168.254.0 255.255.255.0
For nat (inside), you have 2 lines:
NAT (inside) 1 192.168.1.0 255.255.255.0 ==> it is redundant as the 1 below does the same thing with more networks if there is inside side. You can delete it.
NAT (inside) 1 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0Why are you doing this nat (outside)?

If you want to take in scores of reputation on the outside, or the blacklist changes a lot, you might look into the Cisco ASA IPS module.

So I have two asa 5505 routers. Lets say 'router' 50 licenses a user and "router B" has 10. What it boils down to: I have two routers autour. The office where the router B and visa versa will router has.
I wonder how licensing works, is it embedded in the device?
If I copy the current configuration of the router A to router B, router B (the same physical box as before, just with A router config) are always 10 licenses? If I copy the current configuration of the router for A router, router B has should have still 50 licenses, right?

Licenses are always the serial number specific so even if you change the configs. 10 criticism would be has a license of 10 reviews, regardless of the configuration on it. So yes, even if change you the config, 50 user would remain user 50 and 10 critics would remain 10 reviews.

The static route that you configured for Internet access needs to be corrected:
route outside 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 192.168.1.48 1
The next hop address must be the IP address of your ISP gateway and not the ASA outside IP of the interface. Currently, both are set to 192.168.1.48.

VLANS with Cisco ASA 5505 and non-Cisco switch
I have an ASA5505 and a switch Netgear GSM7224 L2 that I try to use together. I can't grasp how VLANs (or at least how they should be put in place). When configuring my VLAN on the ASA5505 it seems simple enough, but then on my switch, I thought I'd create just the same VLAN numbers that I used on the SAA and then add the ports that I wanted to use for each VLAN.
Currently on my ASA, I have the following VLAN configured...
outside - vlan11 - Port 0/0
inside - vlan1 - Port 0/1
dmz_ftp - vlan21 - Port 0/2
Port of Corp - vlan31 - 0/3
I need to do the same thing on my switch as well... On my way, I'm a little confused as to how I need to configure the VLAN. Below is the screenshot of web GUI...
Note: Normally you can now change the VLAN ID (red), but in this case the default vlan (vlan id 1) may not be changed or deleted, you can does not change its settings.
Tagged (green), Untagged (purple) and Autodetect (yellow) you must select at least 1. I'm not sure how to in one place to tell my inner vlan (vlan1).
I want VLAN1 ports 1-8 on my Netgear switch used alone to talk to interface/0/1 on the ASA5505 port. I don't want to NOT port 9-24 able to talk to ports 1-8 on the Netgear switch ports OR 0/0, 0/2 - 0 / 7 on the Cisco ASA 5505.
So, how can I configure my inner Vlan1 on ports 1-8 on the switch? Do mark, UNTAG, autodetect them? What about tours? I've been a bit the impression that I would set up my VLAN on both devices, then trunk port 1 and dedicate this port on both devices to nothing other than the sheath and the security of vlan would then take the packages where they need to go. Is this the wrong logic?
Hi Arvo,
If the port of the ASA is just part of a single VLAN (i.e. e0/0 single door 11 VLAN), this is called an access port. If the port of the ASA had to carry several VLANs, it would constitute a Trunk port.
To access ports (VLAN unique), you must set the switch corresponding to be unidentified for port this VLAN individual. If you decide to configure a trunk port, then the port of the switch must be set for labelling for each of VLAN who win the trunk.
For example, ASA I have:

With the above configuration, the configuration of the switch would look like this (assuming the e0/1 port of the SAA is connected to 0/1 on the switch):

How can I get the engine working in the ASA 5505 Crypto
I bought a brand new ASA 5505 to connect to the Cisco 3640 and I can not yet set up the tunnel. I have tried to change the set of transformation to just but know luck. I recently put a VPN using DMVPN and Cisco 501 in a site-to-site, but it has been wondering what happens.
The router (3640 executes code 12.4) seems ok and I don't think I have a problem with the router with Cisco 501 great work.
This is a laboratory environment.

Hi dsartoros,
If you encounter a self signed (generated locally) identity certificate renewed, then you will need to download this certificate on the clients so that they can connect without getting "untrusted server certificate error".
If you renew a certificate issued by a 3rd party CA (sending of CSR to CA) and certificate, then you will not need to make any changes on the client as they already trust the certification authority that issues the certificate first root.

Cisco SG300 / ASA 5505 intervlan routing problem

I have a problem with the configuration correctly sg300 layer 3 behind the ASA 5505 switch (incl. license more security)
The configuration is the following:
CISCO SG300 is configured as a layer 3 switch
VLAN native 1: 192.168.1.254, default route ip address (inside interface ASA 192.168.1.1)
VLAN defined additional switch
VLAN 100 with 192.168.100.0/24, default gateway 192.168.100.254
VLAN 110 with 192.168.110.0/24, default gateway 192.168.110.254
VLAN 120 with 172.16.0.0/16, default gateway 172.16.10.254
Of the VLANS (100,110,120) different, I am able to connect to all devices on the other VIRTUAL local networks (with the exception of Native VLAN 1; is not the ping requests)
From the switch cli I can ping my firewall (192.168.1.1) and all the other gateways of VLANs and vlan (VLAN1, 100, 110, 120) devices
Asa cli I can only ping my switch (192.168.1.254) port, but no other devices in other VLAN
My question is this. What should I change or installation in the switch configuration or asa so that other VLANs to access the Internet through the ASA. I will not use the ASA as intervlan routing device, because the switch does this for me
I tried to change the asa int e0/1 in trunkport (uplink port switch also), to enable all the VLANS, but as soon as I do that, I can not ping 192.168.1.254 ASA cli more.

Hi Edwin, because the switch is layer 3, the only necessary behavior is to ensure that default gateways to the computer are set on the SVI interface connection to the switch to make sure that the switch is transfer traffic wished to the ASA.
The configuration between the ASA and the switch must stay true by dot1q, such as the vlan all other, unidentified native VLAN tagged.
Also, if I'm not wrong, on the SAA you must set the security level of the port to 100.

7 Configure nat
and I repeat the steps above with the ASA but another change IP.
Are to correct the above steps?

No, you needn't. The ASA configuration is ok. Packet trace proved it. I think it can be a problem on the hosts. Please, check the firewall on the PC and try to put out of service, if it is running.

Is there something special that must occur to import a PIX 501 (IOS Version 6.3) config to an ASA 5505 appliance or is it as simple as download the config?

No, this isn't unfortunately because your pix is running 6.4 and the ASA 5505 will run a minimum of code 7.x and there were quite a few changes. Site to Site VPN between Cisco ASA 5505 and Sonicwall TZ170
I'm trying to implement a VPN site-to site between our data center and office. The data center has a Cisco ASA 5505 and the Office has a Sonicwall TZ170. I managed to configure the two so that the vpn connects. Each of the firewall I ping the IP Address of the internet firewall on the other side and a desktop computer I can ping the IP Address of the firewall internal datacenter but I can't carry traffic between private subnets datacenter and desktop. Can anyone help?

Client VPN und Cisco asa 5505 tunnel work but no traffic
Hi all
I am new to this forum and Don t have a lot of experience with Cisco, so I hope I can get help from specialists.
I have the following problem:
I installed und konfigured ASA 5505 for use with vpn client. I would like to access the local network from outside through vpn.
To test, I installed ASA 5505 with ADSL (pppoe) and tried to give access to the internal network.
Of course whenever I have recive the supplier's different IP address, but it didn't is not a problem reconfigure in the vpn client.
After the connection is established (vpn tunnel work) I can see my external network packets. But I Don t have any connection to the internal network.
I erased my setup yesterday and tried to reconfigure ASA again. I didn t tested yesterday, because it was too late. And I know that I Don t have the authorization rule at present by the ACL. But I think I'm having the same problem again. (tunnel but no traffic).
What I did wrong. Could someone let me know what I have to do today.

Hello
Normally, you want a static public IP address on the ASA to allow it to receive connections from VPN clients (avoid to change the IP address all the time).
If you connect via VPN, check the following:
1. the tunnel is established:
HS cry isa his
Must say QM_IDLE or MM_ACTIVE
2 traffic is flowing (encrypted/decrypted):
HS cry ips its
3. Enter the command:
management-access inside
And check if you can PING the inside ASA VPN client IP.
4. check that the default gateway for the LAN internal ASA within intellectual property (or there is a road to the ASA to send traffic to the VPN clients).

Ikev1 ASA 5505 VPN connection error
Hello
I had previously defined our VPN using IPsec on our ASA 5505 via the ASDM. It was workign fine until an outtage power loses my settings on the device. (possibly a recording of order is not pressed)
Now when I try and put in place, once again I am recieveing an error to port binding. I have configured as normal using the wizard and activate split defintion and exempt the network inside.
The isssue when you apply the settings that I get is:
"[ERROR] crypto ikev 1 activate outdoors.
IkevReceiverInit, cannot bind the port. "
When I try to connect to the VPN I then get an error "the server cannot be reached" or something similar to that...
Could someone please shed some light on what can cause this problem?

We will need to know why this host using UDP 4500 and if this host really needs to use this port.
What type of application is running on this host?
What is a host internal or external?
You may also block the host on the SAA on the incoming interface to avoid the use of the UDP 4500 port using a group of access (outside or inside). Don't forget that you will need a ip to allow a at the end of the ACL to avoid any problems. Another option would be to use IKEv1/IPsec over TCP
IKEv1/IPsec over TCP allows a Cisco VPN client operate in an environment in which IKEv1 or standard ESP may not work or may work only with the change of the existing firewall rules. IPsec over TCP encapsulates IPsec protocols both IKEv1 in a TCP packet as and allows a tunnel secure two firewalls and NAT and PAT devices. This feature is disabled by default.
The default port is 10000.
HostName (config) # ikev1 crypto ipsec-over-tcp
You also need to activate on the VPN client under the profile.
Change > Transport > IPSec over TCP.
