Change of motherboard

HP DV6000/DV6500-DV6547eg-AMD museums

Tip: 449902-001

Hello

According to me, the graphics are defective. I have to change the entire Board or not?

The Board of Directors-identification number indicates that the graphics is not integrated?

It is posible to change only the graphics?

Thanks for help

No problem. Discrete graphics, would be the most powerful graphics processor in an active switchable graphics notebook. UMA refers to the graphics card of "Shared memory", like the Intel HD graphics card series.

If my answer helped, it would be beneficial to mark it as 'Accept as solution', while others in the community can find reference easily.

  • Wireless connection fails on G10 after changing the motherboard

I had a few problems with my wireless for quite awhile. Basically, whenever I turn on my pc my internet connection fails. I always do an RSP on my wireless connection. Finally, it works. This problem started when a technician has changed my motherboard to another question. Since then, it has changed my wireless card. The problem remains tho. Is there a patch for this?

    Hello

Is your wireless network, Intel 2200BG If yes try to download the software for this www.intel.com. It is if you have a connection. Another thing to try is to go to the properties of the wireless card and make sure that the power supply is set to high and the output amplifier is set to enabled.

It could be a mix up with the router by which DHCP not allocate an IP address that is inappropriate. You can go into the router through the admin option and disable this feature. However, you will need to return the laptop an IP address. Click on network connections and click with the right button on the wireless connection properties. You should see the list Internet TCP/Ip Protocol. Double click and assign the IP address manually. You must also enter the other info that can by typing ipconfig in the folder c: / prompt.

Is it possible to change the motherboard for a Toshiba Satellite L100-121 PSLA0, which is a 945GMA of Intel graphics card, with a motherboard with the best video card, or just the video card?

I want a better video card on my laptop, so I can change it?

    Hello

You cannot move the graphics card because it s mounted on the motherboard.
He welded s and cannot be deleted

But I wonder why you want to replace the mobo together to get the best graphics card. Is that a card mother books is one of the expensive laptop parts.
The replacement would cost about 300-400 euros.

I think a desktop PC with a new graphics card would be much cheaper ;)

    Hello

Looking at the Maintenance & Service Guide ( Page 76 ), the Council only listed system is one that you have already - that is to say graphic with dedicated 1 GB memory.

In general, even if there is a better option, at the time wherever you take into account the cost of the Commission, editing and "tattoo" the bios to make your oem windows remains on, it is usually cheaper to buy a new laptop with a better graphic option.

  • Computer sees no floppy and CD Rom/DVD player after change of motherboard of PC w / Windows XP SP3

After changing the motherboard on my PC, a Dell Optiplex gx270s Windows XP SP3, the computer (which also works fine) does not see the CD/DVD or floppy drives CD, DVD or floppy is inserted. (He sees not thumb drives). When I look under the hardware in the system, the floppy drive and the Cd-Rom are marked as +. All appropriate updates had been installed. These discs worked fine before the motherboard was changed. (It was done because the capacitors were bulging.)

What could be the problem and how to fix it?

Please explain simply, that I'm not a computer expert.

    Thank you in advance.

Welcome to the Microsoft community. According to the description of the problem, CD/DVD and floppy drive is missing.

  • activation of the preinstalled original operating system after changing the motherboard

I have a HP system which was preinstalled windows Xp professional at the time of my purchase. Now my use of that during my system motherboard got crashed, after that I have to change my motherboard now the problem is that I can my installation of previous version for windows xp again?

Change the motherboard outside of warrny conditions invalidates the OEM license with which the machine shipped - you will need to purchase a new license for Windows.

I would like to change the motherboard of my ThinkPad T42 2373 - xxx with a card mother T42p, is it possible? Everything will be working properly?

    Kind regards

The Board you are interested in will work fine.

It requires a "long" fan of M10, so if you do not have one, now it's time to order. The FRU is 13R2657.

    Good luck.

  • Activation XP after change of motherboard.

I've just updated my motherboard on my desktop and windows xp home edition now wants to be validated, but it says that it cannot do it online so I called the phone number. I gave him my installation ID, but it says its not valid. I have the certificate of authenticity right in front of my property.

It's nothing to do with Dell, unless they replaced the motherboard.

They work in the conditions that produce the statement I quoted above - which is the result of conditions in whaich they purchse licenses of Windows from MS, and under which purchase you these licenses from Dell.

In order to change the motherboards with impunity, you must have a license for Windows retail - even a Volume license is not valid in these circumstances.

  • How can I reactivate XP SP3 it after that I have change my motherboard?

My motherboard has failed.  How can I reactivate XP SP3 it after that I have change my motherboard?  I have the original installation disc and product key.

If the hard drive didn't explode, you should be able to use it after getting a new motherboard, no need to reactivate or anything like that.
If you do install a clean place and to give him the key to product, due to the change of equipment, you will need to activate by phone.

  • If I want to change my motherboard, must be of the same exact type for the rest of my stuff to work?

My integrated video card no longer works and I want to change the motherboard. should be the same exact type as before for the rest of my stuff to work or can it be different? and if she can still use the windows xp I have on my hardrive, just call them and say hey got a new MB can I reactivate my windows xp?

    Hi tainimoon,

The new motherboard has not the same one, you must make sure that old devices connected to the motherboard would work with the new motherboard.

You will need to reactivate Windows XP after you change the motherboard because this results in the change of hardware on the computer.

  • I change my motherboard, I do not change anything else in my computer I have xp professional window, when I power my computer, the computer will not start, it asks me to insert the cd and press ENTER, I don't have the xp cd, help me please.

install a new motherboard in my computer, I need the recovery cd to start the computer, I have Windows xp?

Assuming that you are XP is already installed (you do not specify) and the old IDE hard drive, you may need to enable the IDE in the BIOS of the motherboard.  Sometimes on systems more recent IDE is disabled for SATA.  Other than that, I don't know.  Find a friend who has an XP Pro CD.  How is that you have it installed but do not have the CD?  If it was a computer OEM like HP, Dell, etc, then you should contact the manufacturer for a restore CD, but since you have changed the motherboard, it is possible that they won't support you more, unless it is a replacement of the factory.
