Change of password required?

Greetings. I have not logged in on iCloud in ages and rarely save my iPhone in the iCloud, preferring to back it up on my macbook pro/itunes.

Today, just for the heck of it, I went to to connect to iCloud on my macbook and I was told that I had to update my current password, which is be 7 letters and 1 number.

My question is, if my iCloud password update, it automatically refreshes all my other stuff like iTunes store, app store and nothing else that I use my apple id password for?

Thank you.

    Hi Ben,

ASDM > Configuration > VPN remote access > location of language

Expand models--> select webvpn--> export--> save the file

Now find the msgid you want to edit and write your own string under msgdtr as follows:

    #: Mummy.c:5758

    #, c-format

msgid "password expired in %s day (s), if you want to change now enter a new password with length minimum %s. '.

    msgstr "insert your string here."

Now import it to the same page of the ASDM
    Language: en

    Translation: webvpn

You should now see your custom string.

  • Changed the password account MS, but old still required to connect to Win 8

Don't know exactly what happened, but the account password for Hotmail/Outlook/MS original was only 7 characters.  Changed the password online, but after the restart, an old still need to connect to Windows 8.  Then it will prompt me later my MS Account password.  Tried to change to Windows 8, but the old password still required.
Any ideas on how to get the password to change to my first connect to my MS Account password?  I am running Windows 8 Pro with all the updates that are installed on Acer Aspire 5315.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Chris,

    Welcome to the Microsoft community.

From the description of the question, we understand that the computer will prompt you for the old password, even after changing the password online.

We need additional information to help you in a better way.

    1. have you changed the password on the computer?

    2. have you logged as administrator?

    3. is it a Microsoft or a local account that invites to the old password?

This problem may occur if you have not changed the password for the computer. Ask us to log on as administrator and change the password in the settings of the computer.

You can check the link change the password.

I hope this helps. If you have Windows questions or issues, please get back to us. We are here to help you.

  • Set the option 'Require the change of password on first use'.

I can't get the option 'Require the change of password on first use' for an end user.
I go to 'Manage the Application Express Users', enter and confirm a new password and choose Yes to 'Require change of password on first use', and then apply the changes. But still, it does not prompt the user to change passwords to log in. I also tried the account, then making the changes described above to lock and then unlock it, but which doesn't work anymore. Any ideas on what's not here?

    Patrick,

When an account has the attribute to change password on first use , the user is presented with the dialog box password change only after creating a new account or when the administrator of the site use the link "Reset" at home > manage workspaces > manage developers and users, causing the password be changed and sent to the user. Regardless of whether the account has the attribute to change password on first use , the user is also presented with the password change dialog box when the account has expired, following the expiration of the explicit account by an administrator of site or workspace or of time passing.

In all cases, the requirements to 'change' the password is really just a requirement to enter the old password and enter a new password (twice), which may be the same as the old password, condition that is not inconsistent with history of password restrictions created for the workspace.

  • Password requirement: you need to change your iPhone unlock access code within 60 minutes.

    Question:

A couple of weeks, after unlocking my iPhone, I received a strange guest on my iPhone 5 (running iOS 9.3.1 not jailbroken) saying that I had to change my password within 60 minutes.

Do not think much of it, I followed the instructions and changed the password via the guest. I didn't question the fact that it gives me options other than to choose a 4-digit password.

After changing, I was again 2 weeks later (2 days ago from the drafting of the present) invited to change my password, except that this time I had 58 minutes to do this.

I found this to be a bit sketchy so I did some research and there was no documentation of apple in this regard, only the forums a lot of other iPhone users who have experienced the same thing and forums have been dated as soon as 2012 (that I've seen in any case, could have been more before too).

I rang apple support, and they were not aware of this problem because it was not a feature for iOS which made this place and recommended I reset my settings immediately (by going to settings > general > reset > reset all settings). This resets all settings, does not erase your data.

It was my personal guess that if it was actually a malware, it can be connected to the operating system in some ways because the first time, I changed my password via the command prompt and it worked. So I made the decision to back up everything I wanted to keep manually and not through iTunes, then manually to get any return. This may have been unnecessary, but it is still I think that all these recent iTunes backups I had had this problem.

If it was in fact malicious, I don't know what kind of access he could have had on my phone, either data or another. I may be a bit paranoid, but wanted to stay on the safe side as pretty much everything, I was put in place and connected to my phone. I went the full length and changed a lot of the settings for the accounts I have. Yet once, probably wasn't necessary, but safely.

So if you feel yourself, just know that it is not created by apple and you at least have to reset your settings.

I hope that it doesn't matter what lightens!

PS Ce isn't a screenshot I took, this is one I found on another thread stackexchange (source: http://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/124771/is-the-message-you-must-change-y our-passcode-within-60-minutes-valid-non...). Although he is exactly got me

Please, it is an old problem that you have learned you looked in the forums before proceeding with such a long and useless post. I'm sure you mean well, but one of the elements discussed in the communities of Apple - terms of use support is first search the forums about your problem before posting. Scams such as these were widespread and often identified - too often.

  • "More strong password required"... do we really?

    Hey gang-

Today has tried to connect to iCloud.com and got a dialog box indicating "updated your Apple ID.  More strong password required".   There seems to be no way to continue beyond this dialog and connect to iCloud.com without changing my password Apple ID.

My dates Apple ID and password to. Mac days.   It is 7 characters, while the dialog box indicates that I need a new password 'at least 8 characters', upper and lower case letters and at least one number.

Good, I get all the this.   My question is, anyone with a "legacy" Apple ID flows into that?  Is there really no way to connect iCloud.com without changing my password?  This password is literally part of my DNA now!  And the ripple effect of shear to change this password through all my Apple devices and services makes my head spin.   Everyone with password respects not above being required to change?

    Thank you!

    Dave

    I think they are.

There has been several discussions here about it.

It's an unfortunate situation, but enhanced online security requires that a safer than even 8 characters password provides.

MU suggestion is to simply re-use your password of 7 characters and add, at the beginning or end, 1 letter/number etc to meet the new requirements.

When I run Firefox (it goes to the Firefox default page) the 'Password required' box came to have the password for the software security device entrance. This default page does not require a password to enter.

Start Firefox in Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > appearance/themes).

  • Change the password on external hard drive

    Hi all

on my iMac 21.5 ", I recently updated my Mac HD internal to El Capitan 10.11.  There are now several major programs (for example MPEG Streamclip and Photoshop elements 11) which worked fine under Yosemite, but are not compatible with El Capitan.

On an external hard drive, I installed Yosemite 10.10.2 in late 2014 when it was the last version of OS X.  Only, I installed a system on the usual external drive boot on the internal HD failure.  All of these programs (also installed on the external hard drive) work very well in Yosemite.

When I start on the hard disc to access these programs, I had problems when I need to make changes for which the system requires a user and a password.  I don't remember what they were.  Is it possible to change the password (given that I can identify the user name in the "Users" folder), please?

    Best regards, paulranger1.

Please open the Startup disk preferences window and select the volume on the external hard disk. You must change this selection on the internal drive after the reset of the password.

Start in recovery mode. When OS X Utilities window, select

    Utilities ▹ Terminal

in the menu bar at the top of the screen, not one of the items in the OS X Utilities window.

In the window that opens, type this:

    resetp

Press the tab key. The partial order you entered will automatically end this:

    resetpassword

Press return. Opens a window to reset the password. Close the Terminal window to get him out of the way.

Select the boot volume ("Macintosh HD", unless you have given it a different name) if not already selected. You won't be able to do this if FileVault is turned on.

Select your username in the menu option allows you to select the account if not already selected.

Follow the prompts to reset the password. It is safer to choose a password that includes only the characters a - z, A - Z and 0-9.

    Select

    ▹ Restart 

    in the menu bar.

You should now be able to login with the new password, but will reset the keychain (empty). If you have forgotten the password for the keychain (which is normally the same as the password for the connection), there is no way to recover it.

  • Someone logged into my icloud account also I changed my password else to do I do?

Someone logged into my icloud account also I changed my password else to do I do? What other steps should I take? Should cancel my credit card?

You probably don't need to cancel the cards, but you should keep a very close eye on them for unauthorized purchases that must be reported immediately to the issuing company. However if you have reason to believe that the person really knows the details of your card then you should discuss the cancellation of the card with their transmitters.

Change the password to a strong should keep the offender out, but you should consider the creation of a two-step verification. With this, anyone (including you) your account needs both the password and a code sent by SMS to your mobile phone. This puts an end dead to anyone else is even if they guess the password.

Please visit this page for more information: frequently asked questions about check in two steps for Apple ID - Apple Support

If you are going ahead with this, please note that you will receive a 'recovery code' that can be used if you lose the phone or forget the password. You need to keep it safe. Signing in requires two on the password, the phone or code recovery and if you lose both of them you will be permanently locked out and Apple cannot help you.

  • I need to change my password e-mail, but when I change it repeat me that this account already exists?

    Hello!

I need to change my email University when asked to do so by the system whenever it turns easily on all my devices. But this time it was easy to do in my iPhone as usual. The problem is with my MacBook Air, when it asked for the password, I changed it, but since then the mail keeps giving me a "Password required Exchange" notification! When I click on continue enter my password it gives me a message saying 'this account already exists! "

Can you please advice me what to do?

Please delete the Exchange account in the preferences pane accounts Internet and then re-create it with the same settings. Messages remain on the server and must be re-downloaded automatically.

  • can not type lower case letters to change the password, only uppercase letters come

When I change a password and that you have to copy the letters and numbers, I can only type the capital letters, why don't appear lowercase?

    Hi Claudia,.

I seriously doubt the problem has nothing to do with your keyboard itself (unless all the problems of cap occur in other places as well and on other websites and in internet like Notepad or Word or other programs), but is a matter of how things work and is designed by the designers of web sites on the sites you use.  What you are dealing with is called a Captcha in http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CAPTCHA.  While this "capital" may occur on that specific page or site, I sincerely doubt it occurs on all sites that use such a feature - you are not using or never seen a site where it works differently.  Here's a number of things that may help to explain why you're facing what happens:

    1. the process is based on captures the difficult to read characters in a text box to verify that a person is on-line here and improve the safety of bots.  Different programs use different features and things to code differently.

    2. some Captchas are case-sensitive and others not (it depends on the product purchased or how it is programmed on the web site, or both).  Usually if it is case-sensitive I saw him say that this is the case in small print under the image.

    3. in programming, web page designers can usually decide whether to make case-sensitive entry (or just the sight of it appear uppercase, even if correctly entered in uppercase and lowercase letters), but often cannot control if or not the presented images show images that is case-sensitive.  If they want it is case-sensitive, then the text box must accept case-insensitive letters (even if they do not appear like this) or entry will be denied.

4 if it is case sensitive, but the images are not, then a way around this problem from a design perspective is for box only accept letters in some cases and set the distinction uppercase / lowercase to only allow the entry of this case.  To make it easier on the user and prevent calls it does not work, they can control the input box, it allows only uppercase letters and define the uppercase distinction / lowercase to require that all capital letters.  So even if you can see the image in various cases, the box allow uppercase be entered which will allow the program to accept input.

    5. If it is not case sensitive, so they can always set the box to show only uppercase (for some reason any) which works perfectly for any deal is registered in this situation.

    6. If you are having problems with entry and suspect the acceptance of capital letters only is the cause, then try several images more before hitting the panic button.  Sometimes I find that I have to try 4 or 5 (they often have a switch button to choose an image that you think you can read correctly when the original or other choices are harder - I sometimes have trouble anyway even with my reading glasses and still need to try several times before it works)-then do not immediately assume that it is a rather simple design flaw being able to read the wretched things.  If some that there is a problem, try contacting the technical support web site support team.  They may be able to pass the image of recaptcha or reset your password (if you probably will not then be able to choose).

    7. This may be a function of the browser used.  Before assuming, is the keyboard (which is very likely if it occurs in a text area), try using another browser like some pages work differently with different browsers.  If you usually use IE, then download Firefox, Chrome or Opera and see if the same thing happens.  If so, it is probably not the browser.

    8. at this point, if you can not access due to it (forget the 'problem' if it allows you to enter and go beyond it despite showing all caps - it is not about you and is not a problem) and the website can not help, try using a different keyboard.  If it's a laptop, try a USB keyboard and see if that solves the problem or access the form from accessibility keyboard in Control Panel and see if it works.  If Yes, then you may have a keyboard problem.  First, update the driver of keyboard, firmware and/or software by the manufacturer of the computer or keyboard manufacturer, being sure to use the downloads for your machine and your version of Windows.  If this does not work, you may replace the keyboard, although it also works very well - but I doubt very much that will occur or prove to be the case, unless you have more problems associated with the keyboard that just that.

Somewhere along the way, you will discover that this is not a problem or find the cause of the problem (it is really not that many options beyond what precedes that can cause this kind of thing and not be found using ideas, tests or methods above).  I'm almost ready to almost guarantee that you don't really have a problem, or one of them will be identity it and depending on what it is, give you an idea where to go next in terms of resolve.

I hope this helps.  Again, I think you're very probably see how the site and not a real problem unless you can't access, after at least half a dozen tent (and perhaps someone else is who has best eyesight to try as well) and technical support of the site people confirm what is happening shouldn't happen.

    Good luck and best wishes.

You can change your password to something that you remember another administrative user account. If you had only an administrative user account and you have forgotten the password, all is not lost. You can then follow the general recommendations for implementing user accounts in Vista that I will give you at the end of this post.

All this requires a certain level of computer skills. You know better and that take the machine to a competent local computer tech (not a type of BigComputerStore/GeekSquad place) is the best solution for you.

If you have an installation of Vista DVD (not a recovery DVDs), you can start the system with it. Select the default language, then select "repair your computer". Then select "Command Prompt". At the command prompt, type:

NET user administrator / Active: Yes [press Enter]
NET user [insert here the name of your user account] [insert the new password of user as 1234 here] [press Enter]

[Note: do not enter the brackets!]

Remove the installation DVD and restart the computer. Now, you will be able to connect to your user account by using the password that you set; for example, 1234.

If you do not have a Vista installation DVD (only have a recovery disk), the computer mftr. may have given you the option to repair Vista (not a system recovery!) system in the diagnostic menu. This menu of diagnosis is the same one where you can choose Safe Mode. Get to this menu by repeatedly pressing the F8 key as the computer starts. If you do not have this option, you can make a bootable Vista file repair DVD in this link:

    http://NeoSmart.net/blog/2008/Windows-Vista-recovery-disc-download/

Note: All the Neosmart recovery disk downloads are torrent files. There is a good explanation of the torrent on the site Web of Neosmart files. You will need a torrent as muTorrent client to get the files. Torrent client will download the .iso file with which to create the bootable DVD. You will need to use third-party burning software such as Nero, Roxio or the free ImgBurn (http://www.imgburn.com ) to burn the image .iso image file, not in the form of data.

Once you have fixed things, log on to the additional administrative account you will be made by the suggestions below and disable the administrator account integrated yet for security reasons:

Start Orb > Search box > type: cmd
When cmd appears in the above results, right-click and choose "Run as Administrator" [OK]. Now, you will get the command prompt. At the command prompt, type:

NET user administrator / active: No. [Enter]

    Exit the command prompt.

General recommendations for creating users in Vista:

You absolutely don't want to have only one user account. As XP and all the other modern operating systems, Vista is a multi-user system with integrated system of accounts as default Administrator and comments. These accounts should be left alone because they are part of the structure of the operating system.

In particular, you do not want one account user with administrative privileges on Vista because the administrator account integrated (normally only used in emergencies) is disabled by default. If you use as an administrator for your daily work, and this account is corrupt, things will be difficult.  It is not impossible to activate the built-in administrator to rescue things, but there may be more that you want to do. Better not to put you in a bad situation at first.

The user account that is for your daily work must be a Standard user, with the extra administrative user (call it something like 'CompAdmin' or 'Tech' or similar) only it for elevation purposes. As a user Standard is recommended for security reasons and will help protect your computer against infections. After you have created "CompAdmin", connect to it and change your normal user account Standard. Then log on to your regular account.

If you want to go directly to the desktop and ignore the Welcome screen with the icons of the user accounts, you can do this:

Start Orb > Search box > type: netplwiz [Enter]
Click continue (or provide an administrator password) when you are prompted by UAC

Uncheck "users must enter a user name and password to use this computer". Select a user account to connect automatically by clicking on the account you want to highlight and press OK. Enter the password for this user account (when it exists) when you are prompted. Leave blank if there is no password (null).

I bought the protection system. yesterday I wasphoned once again, informing me that my microsoft license had expired and I was required to pay for it be extended. I felt that it was a scam and refused to go forward.

    Hello alexanderdiack,

Product license remains for always with the product. It can be cancelled by Microsoft, but it is very likely. If your product (used for activation) key was having problems then you would get a message on the screen of your PC to the effect that necessary to reactivate Windows.

Unless you have a support plan prepaid or you raise a support ticket Microsoft will ever contact you. Obviously, you should contact your company credit card and to tell them what happened. They may be able to stop the payment to this company.

A give them remote access to your computer? If Yes, then your system has been compromised and I would say that your reinstall Windows from scratch.

If you don't give them remote access, then, Yes, by all means, as a measure of protection, change all your passwords. It would be wise to change banking passwords online too.
