change the color of the text block fcp

Hi, editing a video with 3D tumble text. When I go to change the text color of the FCP crashes.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Running the Version OS X El Capitan 10.11.2

Final Cut Pro X Version 10.2.1

I read that El Capitan because of problems in another application for example Safari do not know if it is related.

Kind regards

Amy

  • Change the text color with the eyedropper tool

I've seen cc Photoshop tutorials where you can change the text color by using the eyedropper tool on the color swatch Panel. When the text is selected and the color swatch Panel is open. When I chose is which color I want out the color swatch Panel all them it does to change the foreground color and return to the soil box, why it changes the color of the text, as I have seen in tutorials?

    Any help would be appreciated.

When highlighted often is difficult to tell what color the text. You can work around this by doing the above, pressing ctrl-H or cmd - H on the keyboard and the highlight will be removed, but the text remains selected. Its exactly the same procedure that you use to make the mobile dotted lines disappear just leaving an active selection. Obviously the text tool must be still in use for all this to work with text.

  • Change the text in a text box with Script

    Hello

I have a text box that lists the word 'English' that identifies the manual in English on the title page. I have copy and translate this manual. On the translated manuals, I want to change that "English" in the word "Spanish" or "Japanese" by using a script. What would be the right way to do it? I could do a search and replace only targeted the first page or is it possible to give a text a box identifying unique to call in the code? Should I 'script labels?

    Hello

The label property depends on whether you're using CS5 or upward.

CS4 and earlier versions, just use the script label.

Select the image with the Selection tool and write the name in the Script label palette.

CS5 and until you need to select the text block, open the layers palette, find the text block, you want to quote, you will see an indication of color, then you must click on the label of on this palette and give it the desired label.

in any case, the code to use is, if you call your frame in the form "a":

    myFrame = app.activeDocument.textFrames.itemByName ("a");

    hope this helps

    See you soon,.

  • Apply effects to the text block and not the text

I am trying to apply a shadow to a text block, but he keeps applied the effect of text rather than the text block.  I click on the text block, and then effects and shadow and object is selected in the 'Settings For' drop-down box.  However, he maintained the application of the shadow to the text, rather than to the text block.   I am doing this wrong, or is there something else I need to do?

I use CS4 on Windows Vista.

  • Acrobat Standard DC - can't change the text and text box properties

Earlier this week, I lost the ability to change the properties of the text and text boxes.

When I add a comment with a text box or in the text caption, I do all the time, I used to be able to change the font color, size, alignment, etc.

Now, when I go to insert a text box or the legend, all the options in the properties bar are grayed out.

This issue effects ONLY the text in the box and the caption functions. all the other drawing functions work very well. I can change the color, fill and the type of lines around the text, I can just change the text.

    Any suggestions?

    Thank you.

  • Cannot change the text box.

Adobe Acrobat DC recently auto updated to the latest version, and it seems that the new version does not change the text boxes.

The screenshot below shows what I mean.  I added a text box and pointed the police to change the size / font style / color, but it is gray just to go out in the toolbar properties (Ctrl + E)

  • Problem with the text block, put in place when it is used on the page number marker

    Hello!

I would use the text block on the marker page number on the master page in Indesign. The text block should change width when increases the page number. It does not work. What happens is that when the number of page moves a two-digit figure, the numbers tightened itself (compressed on top of each other) and the block of text changes size unless I drag on it (which means I have to manually unlock the master page first).

I'm doing something wrong, or is this a bug?

    Thank you!

Altogether! So, you can use a rule of Pará to simply do it!

  • How to change the text in a form published in LCD / Acrobat 9?

I have therefore some minor changes to a form that was created in LCD 9 and Acrobat 9 Pro.  Apparently, this seemingly simple task is now impossible with the newer versions.  When I try to edit in Acrobat XI I get the message "this form cannot be changed in Acrobat" but I have no way to change the text on LCD.

Users of release forms 9 really blocked?

Yes, it looks like you used to be able to directly edit the pdf 'work' base layer in a LCD pdf.

    The painful solution was to:

    (1) copy the shape of the LCD for a background version

    (2) select and delete ALL the objects in the LCD screen of the form of the background

    (3) use print-to-pdf to create a non - LCD of the shape of the background version

    (4) clean form pdf print background objects,

    (5) use Acrobat XI to edit the text

    (6) open the original form in LCD and then edit-> work replace to replace the background pdf with the updated release of step 5

    (7) maintain the layer background for the changes to come

This is quite annoying, because with the old version was the only step:

    (1) open the pdf in Acrobat and edit text

In any case, thanks for the info. I'm not sure what was the logic behind this downgrade XI, but it was enough of a very negative experience that I'll do everything I can to avoid pdf for Adobe products in the future.

  • I'm unable to change the text of a document when I imported a document in PDF format in word 2013

Cannot change the text in word after import

    Hi gfjbo,

Please try triple click in the text block that you want to change. By default, ExportPDF performs OCR (optical character recognition), so if the PDF file has been created from a scanned document and the text of the contained image, it would have been converted into editable text by ExportPDF.

If this does not work, please let us know and we will take it from there.

  • In the edition browser cannot change the text most

I can't change the text of most. There are a few areas that can be changed, such as the text that is linked and images (with the exception of images of text). But the basic text not! The site is www.abientotandkidspot.com.

You use a system font for some text, the entire text exported as an image block. If a block of text uses only web-safe fonts or present web fonts natively in Muse, it should be editable (except some other condition in the documentation link above applies).

  • [AS] Help: Change the text in overflow < text frame >?

    Hello again,

I am filling the blocks of text in my document with a randomtext in a table. Works fine now.

But not knowing how many characters compatible with, in the text box, which has space for only one line, about 10 words, I'll try not to repeat the random process until that theres no overflow the box.

The problem is this: when I edit text in the text block and it overflows, evil change the new text - but only the visible text gets crushed, leaving the rest overflowing in the box and keeps adding up and never ends the repeat loop.

if class of myPageItem as String = "text frame" then

set text of myPageItem to «"& my TextFill()»»

repeat until overflows of myPageItem = false

the value text of myPageItem to «"& my TextFill()»»

    end Repeat

    end if

Its the thing with the text in the text frame... How to crush each text visible and not visible in the box, any suggestions?

It does not work. What we have here is a failure to communicate. Here are the main points in javascript:

myTextFrame = app.selection [0]; I chose a block of text with the type tool, drag

myTextFrame.contents; the words that are part of the framework

myTextFrame.parentStory.contents; the entire contents of the story, including everything in excess

    myTextFrame.overflows; true

Make sure myTextFrame is a reference to an object in the image text.

  • Slow down gradually by typing in the text block

I read all the other threads regarding typing slow in InDesign, but I had not anything the problem that I am facing. My problem is that typing becomes gradually slow when you type in certain blocks of text, that is, it is fast when I start typing in the empty block, but as the text block is filled with the text, it becomes slow.

I use two types of blocks of text on each page of my document: one with no style whatsoever and the other with a style of object including a border, two rounded corners and margins. This gradually typing slow occurs only in the second type of text block.

I hit a relatively small (7 MB, less than 300 pages), file text without columns, cross-references, paste them from other applications, connecting blocks of text, or any of the other usual culprits for slow typing I've read about. Nothing else in InDesign is slow, including typing in the other type of text block (without borders, etc.).

    Any ideas?

Its most likely the rounded corners that is causing the slow down.  Not sure how RADIUS helps you, but having to calculate how to keep the text with rounded corners is much more expensive than when the text block is a simple box.  A suggestion to help alleviate the problem is to break the document by chapter upward, so that you do not have the end of a chapter that connects the beginning of the next.  When you have a large number of pages of text all flow from one page to another, editing text in a page means that all of the following must be recalculated.  Break this cascade of changes from one page to the other will help with performance.  A disadvantage is that you need to be careful and watch the overset text or blank pages that passes at the end of each chapter.

  • Type of entry in the text block

    Hello

Is it possible to define a text frame on a master page and be able to enter text in the image in the document itself, without separate the text block and his master?

    This is for CS4.

    Thank you.

It depends on the nature of your question. You must override the image on the document page (Shift click command) to add content, but anything that does not change on the page of the document is still linked to the main frame (such as size, position, fill, stroke, etc.). Is that what you mean?

  • Text wrapping will not be in the text block

I am changing the content on a block of text in Illustrator using a JavaScript file.

    My method is as follows:

    changeLayer = doc.layers.getByName(textKeys[t]);

    changeLayer.textFrames.getByName(textKeys[t]).wrapInside = true;

    changeLayer.textFrames.getByName(textKeys[t]).contents = textArray [textKeys [t]];

Basically, I set wrapInside to true and then I replace the content of the block of text with a string.

However, rather than the text as you wish, Illustrator print everything on one line expands the size of the text block (and sleep) to adapt the text on a single line. Even when I put explicitly the width and height of the image in the script, it shrinks the text to fit on a single line in the rather enveloping framework. If I explicitly set the size of the police he then extends the framework once again, but only on a single line. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

    Good evening

Don't forget that you have different types of linked text frames. In vba, you can find the property THAT allow you to show that read only 3 types of text frames aiAtraText, aiPathText and aiPointText
