Change the location of the Itunes directory

It's OK when you shake your head on this one.

I have vista... (Oh yes!) All my music is on a disk separate hard "D".

I have another machine that has win 10 on it. It has only a single hard drive with 2 partitions, "C" and "D". "D" drive a recovery on it and I can't put music there.

I copied all of the 500 GB the new machine C:\Users\username\My Music\iTunes.  It's D:\music files

How can I get the new machine to recognize the new location of the music for the playlists see instead?

My problem is: I can import the songs but did not have playlists.

Launch iTunes with the SHIFT key pressed and select the library itl file or use iTunes to import playlists from her. If you do not have this file, you can not.

  • Creating cloud - BUG change the installation directory for applications

    I searched and could not find this similar post here

    http://forums.Adobe.com/message/5498967#5498967

    Who stated the issue I am experiencing.  In the program office cloud creative preferences, I changed the D drive installation directory because I have my main hard drive partitioned and programs would take too much space on C.  Whatever the change in preferences, applications were still installing on my C drive.  I tried to restart and reinstall and nothing seemed to work.

    Finally, I decided to reassign my D partition to C, I must still complete this because I'm waiting for all the data on D to be transferred to an external drive, so I can recombine it in C without losing any data (I don't know if this is necessary, I have not recombined partitions in the front operating system (, but just to be sure)

    IN ANY CASE

    As I am awaiting transfer (more 120gbs takes a while) I changed the installation directory in the preferences of creative cloud to C and went ahead and installed the program I wanted to before all this.  Guess what?  It is installed on my D drive!

    This isn't a serious bug for me, just incredibly boring and causing a lot of extra work on my part just to install the program I wanted to.  However for someone who requires a different install directory to and cannot reorganize their computer to take account of this bug, I could see that she is more serious.  If anyone else has had this problem and found a solution?  Thank you.

    Adobe PS rock you, I hope that your other programs CC feel not hurried to immediate as does your Installer

    Thanks for the update Julie.  It is information that you have been able to install applications for the location on the D: drive.  Shared resources and temporary installation files will continue to be on the C: drive.  Please maintain enough disk space on your drive to allow installation of the necessary updates.  In general, I'd recommend at least having double the amount of free space on your system drive, to the amount of physical RAM, you have installed on the computer.

    You can find the system requirements for Adobe applications, and an indication of the disk space required for installation, system required. Creative cloud.

    You can't do that without changing the code of Firefox program. Then you should consider other options.

  • How can I change the target directory for NOR-DAQ 6.9.3?

    I try to install NOR-DAQ 6.9.3 on a new laptop computer.  I tried to change the target directory, but the installer does not allow me to change it.  Is it possible to change the directory?

    When you say that the installation program does not let you change the directory target, you receive an error?  In my view, is it possible to change the target directory by selecting the feature in the feature tree, then by manually changing the target directory to the bottom of the installer.  When this is done, a pop up will occur who says a new folder will be created to save the files to.

  • Need to change the ORACLE_BASE directory

    Hello

    Network infrastructure (software only), I installed RHEL5 n 11.2.0.3.
    When the installation is complete, I realized I didn't give the right directory for ORACLE_BASE.

    In the directory that I gave to the installer, a directory named "checkpoints" appeared.

    Can someone give me the process to change the ORACLE_BASE directory after installation (software only)?

    For more information, I found references in the configuration file 3:
    grep - r "ORACLE_BASE is < ORACLE_BASE >." / *
    ./bin/racgwrap:ORACLE_BASE= < ORACLE_BASE >
    ./CRS/install/crsconfig_params:ORACLE_BASE= < ORACLE_BASE >
    ./install/envVars.properties:ORACLE_BASE= < ORACLE_BASE >

    Thank in advance for help you.

    Use the mv command and be sure to make the necessary changes in the .profile file so that when you open a session peak $ORACLE_BASE always to the new directory.

    because the operating system is Linux, you can use softlink (similar as synonyms in the database), use, it solves half of your problem.

  • How can I change the iTunes music player?

    I cloned my hard drive for an SSD earlier, so I have 2 identical copies of my library of music on the c: / (my new SSD) and E: drive / (my old hard drive). I want to delete all my music from my SSD and iTunes play entirely from the drive hard, how can I achieve this?

    I tried to delete the folder of drive C (C:\Users\X\Music) iTunes and force iTunes to load the library to drive E (by displacement of opening and choosing the new library), but it always comes back to play the files media located on C. I spent a lot of time manually organize my library, unfortunately that's not as simple as moving the iTunes Media folder since none of my music is there. I also tried, but it always ends up reading files on the C drive:

  • Impossible to change the working directory

    I'm trying to change the working of a computer virtual directory so that snapshots are stored in a different data store.

    I used the following two articles for instruction:

    "Create snapshots in a different virtual directory default location"

    http://KB.VMware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?cmd=displayKC & docType = kc & docTypeID = DT_KB_1_1 & externalId = 1002929

    "Record or adding a virtual machine to inventory".

    http://KB.VMware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US & cmd = displayKC & externalId = 1006160

    I recorded my VM.  I added the following line to my .vmx:

    workingDir = "/ vmfs/volumes/4cb6d8b0-45f1b122-3a3a-d48564535eca/vm-snapshots.

    This has been copied directly from management.  The only thing I changed was the part of the path that identifies my data store.

    Note: I also tried to use 'vmsnapshots' to ensure that the hyphen was not my problem, but I got the same error message.

    I recorded my VM.  I have no problem adding the .vmx inventory.  When I right click on my VM and go change the settings > Options, the workplace of VM looks OK.  4cb6d8b0-45f1b122-3a3a-d48564535eca translated correctly to the identifier for the data store (it looks like this: [DL360G7DS1] vm-snapshots /).  I turned on my virtual computer.  I get the following error message:

    "This virtual machine cannot be turned on because its working directory is invalid. Use the configuration editor to define a valid working directory and then try again. »

    I didn't know if the "vm-pictures" directory would be created automatically or if I have to create it, so I tried both ways.  There is no space in my path name or a folder.  I had not changed anything else in my .vmx and when I remove the line workingDir, VM powers on without problem.

    There is a good chance I'm missing something simple here.  The path seems to be accepted and pointing in the right direction.  I don't know what I have to do to "vm-shots" to make it valid.  The instructions didn't about the requirements for this directory.

    Any advice would be greatly appreciated.  Please let me know if I does not provide enough information or if the rest of my .vmx file should be displayed.

    I would just put the hard in the home folder of the new virtual machine after I have it create?

    From what I understand so far, there is not enough free disk space on the data store "2MB" to host the virtual machine! If there is enough free space on the disk so you can just migrate the virtual machine in this data store using vCenter Server. If there is not enough disk space, you can create a new virtual machine on the data store "2MB" and leave the virtual disks on the data store '1 MB' for now. Just make sure that you document it (for example in the annotations of the virtual machine) If you don't accidentally delete the old folder with the the.vmdk file.

  • Try to change the root directory in built-in Server

    I run the server integrated into ColdFusion 9 to test a web site that I am building. My site is located in a subfolder of the folder wwwroot directory ColdFusion9 (C:\ColdFusion9\wwwroot\Everett\*). I try to use links relative to the root, but I would like that they refer to this directory, not the wwwroot directory. For example, I would like the link "/ index.cfm" to open the C:\ColdFusion9\wwwroot\Everett\index.cfm as opposed to C:\ColdFusion9\wwwroot\index.cfm. It is my understanding that this is possible through the virtual mapping.

    I added this code in the jrun - Web.xml file in the WEB - INF directory:

    <>virtual-mapping

    > resource path < / * < / resource-path >

    < path system - > C:/ColdFusion9/wwwroot/Everett / < / path system >

    < / virtual mapping >

    Then I moved folders CFIDE and cfdocs in the Everett subfolder.

    Then I restarted the ColdFusion server.

    Now I get the following error message:

    When I go to http://localhost:8500 / I can see all of the appropriate files and directories, so I can see that the root directory has been changed, I'm simply not view any document.

    Any thoughts?

    Jeremy

    HA! I don't know why it works now, but it does. Alexander, I tried your method and it did not work, but then I moved the directory WEB - INF back to wwwroot and he's fine now. For those keeping score at home, here's what I've done with:

        /*

        C:/Web_Sites/Everett2

        /WEB-INF

        C:/ColdFusion9/wwwroot/WEB-INF

        /CFIDE

        C:/Web_Sites/Everett2/CFIDE

    As I said, I don't know why it didn't work the first couple attempts, but it works now and I guess that's all that matters. Thanks for all your help!

  • change the installation directory

    Hello community,

    I have a small SSD drive as root system on Windows 8. So far, the creative cloud installed all apps in the directory c:\program files\Adobe standard program.

    Meanwhile, the HD is completely full and I need disk space available on this subject. The idea is to move all applications creative Cloud to a partition on a second disc.

    If I change now the installation path in the creative application of cloud, also do I uninstall my Adobe applications and reinstall them? Or it will pass all the Apps the new path?

    I hope someone could help me?

    Best regards

    Sebastian

    Although Adobe indicates that you install the application on the main drive, it is possible to change the destination of the installation of creative cloud app preferences. Please note that there will always be shared resources stored on your primary drive.  In addition, temporary files will be created on your main drive during the installation process. The Adobe Creative Cloud desktop application will remain on the default drive. If you have already installed the application, you must uninstall, change the destination drive, reboot the machine and then install the application.

  • With the help of deployment plan to change the virtual directory mapping

    Hi all
    Have anyone tried this before?
    I have a deployment plan to add the virtual directory to my descriptors of weblogic as follows:

    Inside tag <>variable-definitions:
     <variable>
          <name>LocalPath</name>
          <value>C:/</value>
        </variable>
        <variable>
          <name>VirtualPath</name>
          <value>/Temp/*</value>
        </variable>
    Then, to add the virtual directory to weblogic.xml in:
    <module-descriptor external="false">
          <root-element>weblogic-web-app</root-element>
          <uri>WEB-INF/weblogic.xml</uri>
          <variable-assignment>
             <name>LocalPath</name>
             <xpath>/weblogic-web-app/virtual-directory-mapping/local-path</xpath>
          </variable-assignment>
          <variable-assignment>
             <name>VirtualPath</name>
             <xpath>/weblogic-web-app/virtual-directory-mapping/url-pattern</xpath>
             <operation>add</operation>
          </variable-assignment>
        </module-descriptor>
    But I have this error:
    "

    I also tried to use the XPath for model url as follows:
    /WebLogic-Web-app/virtual-directory-mapping/[local-path="C:/"]/URL-pattern < xpath > < / xpath >

    But I have the same error. The <>url-patter item is not added correctly to the virtual directory mapping tag.

    It is supposed to work. Someone has done this before? or is this a bug of the deployment plan.

    Thank you very much.

    Hello

    It seems that in the new WLS10.3.2 weblogic.xml XSD order of * "url-pattern" * and * 'local-path' * is changed then the secuence of Xpath is changed... This means that now you must try with following... What has worked for me in WLS10.3.2:

    MyVirtualDirEAR

    LocalPath
    C:\DELETE\MyImages

    VirtualPath
    / Temp / *.

    VirtualDirWebApp.war

    VirtualPath
    /WebLogic-Web-app/virtual-directory-mapping/URL-pattern
    Add

    LocalPath
    /WebLogic-Web-app/virtual-directory-mapping/[URL-pattern="/temp/*"]/local-path
    Add
