change the printheads on officejet 8500

the carriage does not move to the left automatically change the printheads. Where is the OK 'button? Is it the OK that appears when you press the icon of ink on the screen?  If so, holding a 5 seconds contact screen with this OK does nothing.

Hello

What is your exact printer model?

If it's the HP Officejet Pro 8500 (A909a), you should press and hold OK Phisical once we open the door of prithead.

For HP Officejet 8500 Wireless or Premium (A909g/A909n) you need to press and hold the * button for 5 seconds.

Once the door is open, take a look at the screen, it should tell you what exact button to press.

  • error printhead after changing the printhead in L7680

I have an OfficeJet Pro L7680 that is a few years old.  Recently, I have noticed a decline in the print quality for mainly black, but also a little yellow, and after changing the black cartridge with no changes, I decided to change the Black/Yellow Printhead.  So, I thought that if I'm trying to change a print head, I should change the other (cyan/magenta).  I bought new Office Depot print heads.  After replacing the print heads that I was able to print a page or two, and then all of a sudden the printer started saying there is a problem with the cyan/magenta printhead.  I tried to remove and reinstall, the suppression and power reset and then put it back up, etc, but nothing moves it.  I have not yet called HP, but I hope that when I do they will help because the print heads are under warranty until 2014, even if the printer is out of warranty.  In the meantime, I thought I would ask here is - it possible I only have a print head of DOA?  Or would it be the printer?  Unfortunately I threw the old printheads immediately (stupid me) so I can't try that goes back to the old magent/cyan print head and see what happens.

    Hello jmmarton.

Your chip printheads were damaged by inserting wrong while the transport is always on the right side. This document provides instructions on how to replace the printhead to the unit.

  • Manually change the IP address on 8500 A909g

After the 8500 A909g printer has been turned off for a few days, the program on my computer HP solutions Center portable 32-bit Vista now displays a message 'disconnected '. The IP address is now 169.254.184.17

By HP, troubleshooting instructions and messages in this forum, paste this IP address in the address bar of IE or Firefox only returns with "page not found". Downloaded and run the HP diagnostic utility, but it did not detect the printer even though I tried several buttons refresh or other buttons on the screen 'advanced tools '.

Tried to change to a static IP address to the printer via the front panel of the printer (configuration-> network-> Advanced Setup-> IP settings-> manual) but ran into an obstacle because I can't change successfully '184' to a '0' or the 174' to a single digit for the sequence with the IP address of 192.168.0.1 Dlink router

The window of manual reset IP address has only the number keys and no button 'Clear' or 'delete' to get rid of the extra numbers.

I'm not computer literate, so I do not understand why another round of office seems to print just fine with a completely different performance of IP address for the printer, one that falls not in the familiar format 4 part mentioned above.

I was able to create an address IP of DHCP reservation on my router and the printer works now. I'm a bit difficult to know if I should also go to the Web server embedded HP to change the networking > connections > Wired > Setup manual IP address and enter the IP address/Subnet Mask / Gateway default numbers printed on the HP Network Configuration Page that I printed in the menu touchscreen printer. I have to also then change from automatic to manual DNS server?

    Thanks for any further help.

  • Change the cartridge in Officejet 6410

I recently bought this article and just changed the color cartridge for the first time.  I now have a box annoying popping up every minute little telling me that I just installed a genuine cartridge.  I followed the link and click on the OK button in the center of solutions and the box always keeps popping up.  Does anyone have an idea how to stop those annoying boxes or do I uninstall the thing and buy another printer to get rid of this nuisance?

    Try this

Insert the printer installation CD in your cd and cancel any window of installation. then type "X:\util\ccc\uninstall_L2.bat" in the run window (replace "X" with the drive letter of the CD drive the CD instalalion is located in..). you will get a black command prompt window that will show the instructions. Follow the instructions carefully. Once installation is complete, it can ask you to reboot, then do it.

then start the installation once more. Once it's done, you shouldn't face this problem.

I recently purchased HP OfficeJet Pro 8500 A and the scanner does not work properly. After 8 hours (really) on 'chat' with HP I was told that I have to upgrade Windows XP to Windows 7. I also have some old Acrobat 6 on my laptop. Two questions: will be updated to Windows 7 remedy problems scanning or do I also have to upgrade to Acrobat? Thank you.

    Hello

I don't know why HP would recommend the upgrade to Windows 7 when there is XP drivers available for the printer, if it's the right model:
    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?LC=en&DLC=en&cc=us&product=3752459&

Install all the drivers/software listed for their printer, and then try again.

I looked up to the replacement cost of the print heads, then sought a new printer, that would be less than to change the printheads. Finally, in desparation, I turned it off and went to bed. Next day morning turned all back on and tried to print, and it has worked flawlessly.

  • Jobs FRUSTRATED stuck in the queue on Officejet 6500 with IP printing

I'm especially frustrated because I just typed in many details, and when I click on "Preview" my text disappeared. Thank you, HP!

Like others, I have an Officejet 6500 E709n. Print a test page, the diagnosis, the HP printer utility page, I cannot print any document. "They simply wander in the queue with the message host ' 192.168.2.6 network ' is busy. retrying in 10 seconds... forever. Yes, I tried to delete and add the printer again and he gets found very well.

    I can print with USB.

I can print with Hello (but which is slow, so I turned off)

It's okay if my OS X 10.5.8 laptop is connected wirelessly or through ethernet.

The printer is connected to the router Wireless Ethernet. At the present time, my mac is connected to the same router by ethernet. I just started the HP printer utility and printed page setup very well, showing the ink levels.

I'm guessing that it is a problem of intellectual property, and that the HP printer utility uses a different protocol to connect to the printer. Yes?

Fine, I can print from Windows 7 computer that is connected by ethernet on the same network. IP addresses are correctly reserved.

Please, someone help. I have a forthcoming major surgery and won't be able to walk upstairs to the office, so I really want to be able to print wireless from below. I bet once wired print jobs, the wirelss go, too.

Well well, thanks to the kind soul who wrote this:

    (useful text cited below)

You can also modify an existing printer driver:

    (1) system preferences > Print & Fax

    2) click your printer

    3) click on the Options button & supplies

    4) click on the driver tab at the top

    (5) in 'print using... '. "drop-down, choose Select printer software...

    (6) locate HP OfficeJet Pro L7700 in the list

I followed the instructions to turn my printer OfficeJet OfficeJet Pro L7700 6500n driver. Let the JetDirect Protocol.

Now I can print when connected to the Ether - and I can print duplex. AND I can print wireless.

To sum up: If your print jobs stuck in the queue to print on a HP OfficeJet 6500n, but you can ping the printer or you connect via the HP printer utility, the following workaround solution:

Change the IP to JetDirect Protocol

Change the 6500n to OfficeJet Pro L7700 OfficeJet printer driver.

    SOLVED.

    Kathy {personal info deleted}

    Hey Kathy,.

I see that you have a problem with the text in small font on printed documents.  You say that this only happens when the navigation and printing from the internet.  What browser do you use?  (Internet Explorer, Chrome, Firefox, etc.)

Have you tried using another browser?  Normally this problem is the result of a problem of compatibility between the printer driver and the browser program.

So, you can try using a different printer driver, such as the 990 c driver.  The other pilot should be able to go beyond the question of compatibility and printing back to normal when on the internet.  For more information on how to exchange for a different driver click here.

    Hope this helps,

  • OfficeJet Pro 8500 manually change the number of rings for fax operation

I have a new machine which has a minimum of 6 rings before it works. My Officejet Pro 8500 has a max of 6 rings before the fax works. If the fax machine starts as the answering machine trying to record a message. It is a disaster.

How can I maually change the printer to recognize fax obligations to 7 rings or more instead of 6?

    concerning

    Barry

Good explanation.  The answering machine and the printer do not coordinate what to do when a call comes in.

There is not a way to change the setting in the printer for more than 6 rings, but in my view, there is a solution to your problem.  Line 1 on the printer port is for connecting to the wall outlet you mentioned.  The port of line 2 is used to connect a telephone or answering machine.  Scans and fax number are transferred to the computer through a direct usb cable or via an ethernet cable connected to a router.

If you connect the answering machine to line 2, the printer has built in the system so that the printer can decide if the call is for the answering machine or fax machine and act accordingly.  It won't work if the answering machine is connected to the printer.  Why don't you give that a try and let me know what happens.

    Hi Peter,.

From the Control Panel, enter the region and language preferences.

Open the tab of the administrator.

Under language for non-Unicode ongoing programs, I think you will find that it defined as French.

Change the value in English, confirm the changes and restart your PC, then check any change.
