  use a SQL * Net string in the login username parameter. This connection string can then be

  (1) configure ext/pmp/replicate.
  (2) start ext/pmp
  (3) take Yvert based backup or export.
  (4) apply to backup or import.
  (5) start replicat SNA
  (6) stop source db for any other operation.
  (7) check the /checkpoint on zero source offset.
  (8) check gal/control point on the target to be zero - stop replicat
  (9) move tns connection to the target

• Doubt: Filters in the Golden Gate region

  I am a developer ODI (Beginner) and have doubt abt Golden Gate.
  
  I have the script for monitoring:
  
  GG->-> area Mastersaf
  
  Customer told me to not make the filters on the first market (GG-> staging), at the stage of staging-> Mastersaf.
  
  Is this correct (should be)? Why?

  It is a common requirement / query. Basically if you have the GG data capture for a database, you want to capture everything you pourriez have need, including in the future, rather than get everything what you know that you need today. So, Yes, all enter (or rather do not filter for free) and send everything to the staging area. Next week you many have another client (or a change in the rules) seeking additional data. If you are already captures the data, you don't have to change your configuration to get the additional tables, lines or columns & return to the source. Yes, it takes a little extra (temporary) storage space, but disk and bandwidth are (usually) cheaper that the development effort, no matter how much effort it really is. (Many data stores, to much more time to do the "paperwork" to make changes on the server of DB as the time it would take to make real change. This type of proactive policy ('capture in case we need") prevents this).

  and I checked "Toggle ABC of input source with caps lock shift" in system preferences > keyboard > input Source.

  However, it does not lock shift still only works as long as CapsLock

  I tried to reboot, reset the keyboard shortcuts, deactivation of Siri, reset NVRAM and reset the SMC, but still does not.

  I use only the default input source and have not installed and related programs to the keyboard or input source.

  I can download the product, set up a replication of a database to another on the empty tables in ten minutes as said the previous person. I saw some active scenarios (with 10 + knots) take a few months to set up, test, retest, reconfigure, test and implement.

  I'm changing my input between VGA & HDMI source using cmd.

  So far, I'm only able to switch to VGA but not HDMI:

  DDM.exe 1:SetActiveInput VGA-> work

  1:SetActiveInput HDMI DDM.exe-> does not

  FYI, I use S2340L.

  For some reason, your firmware S2340L lists your HDMI input like a DVI port.

  Instead of using the command "SetActiveInput HDMI", use "SetActiveInput-DVI" instead, and you should be all set.

  I am trying to use the SystemCredentialsPrompt as password and check.

  I can get the SystemUiInputField as username and when I try to change it with

• Could not start process replicate except stop another using the Golden Gate

  Description of the problem:

  1. There are more than 30 ways repeated in the target (Oracle-> SQLServer), and they work fine.

  2. when I add a new replicat process and start it, not start successfully with the status of "stopped".  However, when I stop a process previous replicat and then start this new replica, it works very well.

  I practice OEM 12 c, I created Incident the rule for the target database Type that works well.

  Today morning, I created model extracted and Manager, GoldenGate and applied on the GG target, after created Incident rule with properties below

  Targets: Oracle GoldenGate. Oracle GoldenGate extract; Oracle GoldenGate Manager

  Article: incoming events and events updates

  Type: Alert metric (selected option button: all events of type alert metric)

  But I do not have the mail, even I kill or stop the process of mgr/extract

  When I check in the ENTERPRISE > SURVEILLANCE > INCIDENT MANAGER

  I can see the target are down and event showing her stockings.

  Try to use the button simulate rules in the window Incident rules.  It will show you the actions for different types of measures/events.   One thing I see here could be that the target down, will not appear in the alert metric type, this is a category of its own called target availability

  Not a lot of consequences, if you have changed the password where you had used.

  1. you must change the password of user goldengate in parameter files where ever you had mentioned, as the extract file etc..,.

  2. If you used the password encrypted, you must re-create the encryption password.

  3. If you used a user Alias id, then you must change this too.
