  After you import a video into the assets of the project, you can right click it, select Rename. This file when you drag the timeline will have the new name.

  But...

  If you import a video into the assets of the project, drag it to the timeline, right-click clip timeline, select Rename from the pop-up, then the calendar file will be renamed but not its thumbnail in the active project. You rename this project asset vignette to match if you want. However, these traces yet files renamed to the original with original filename to its disk hard saving location.

  I have not seen any change in behavior it. If you start to tell a sequence with a clip of 1080 and drop a clip k 4 on it, you should check if "Adapt to the size of the image" (checked) the edit/preferences dialog box, you probably prefer not controlled so that it uses "Set to framesize" by default.

  Other than that, just drag & drop, should be fine. Now, from a sequence with a k 4 clip then drop a 1080 on that... either you will get a small clip in black box or if you scale upward, a LOT of pixelation. Not normally what we prefer.

  When you start a new project, the button settings are on the Panel of the new project.

  I use an event producer/consumer-controlled architecture where the two loops run processes acting on a common variable.

  To be more precise, I intend to change a flag photo in the loops of consumer and producer. That's why I need to share this variable between the two loops.

  Two FGV reads on the left side of your curls below will be a problem unless you use the data flow to control. The FGV bed (as shown) will occur at the start and then after the structure of each loop ends.   This is possible, but not easy.  You need to work from a copy of the same library using exactly the same version of iMovie.  You cannot work directly for a copy of the library 'in the cloud', but you can use the cloud to transfer the updates to the library.  Libraries are often quite large, so download will be slow.  If the library contains many other events and projects you don't want to work on it would be better to create a library containing only the events and you need to collaborate on projects.

  Of course only one of you can be change at any time and you would have to notify each other when you have downloaded an update from the library and completed.  Its also important to avoid the update of the library while iMovie is running.

  Another important point is to ensure that the library contains all of the original media files and not of links to files in other libraries like iTunes or pictures that do not work on the other computer.  To do this, you need to "consolidate media" for more information see: http://help.apple.com/imovie/mac/10.1/#/mov882dee351

  is it possible to have 2 (or more) FxV hit update the same custom field filters?  I know that the filters 2 or more successful can update the same metric, but not what I need.

  I have a filter tube set for each stage of a procurement process of several steps (such as beginning, calculateOrder, processPmt).

  In the first filter of success, I have extracted something similar to a username.  That the same info is in the other two hit filters for each step of the process.  If the FxV user performs a search on the 3rd filter, that is processPmt, then in results research they won't see all of the data that in are extracted by the first hit (start) filter.   So I tried to add a custom field to the 3rd hit filters which also extracts the data of the user ID and her add her to the same custom field, but it won't let me because this field is already used.

  Mark,

  I can be missing what you are trying to do, but you should be able to use a custom field in another filter of success.  You want to ensure that you choose the name already in use, as opposed to the 'new custom field".  So for the update/addition to hit the 'user name' field, you'd like this screenshot.

  

  You set the condition and choose setting the value to append or reset as you wish.  And then save the filter hit.

  Was what you were trying to do, or something else?
