change wireless network

Hello

I recently changed my wireless network and my HP Photosmart C4580 stopped working with the network.  I run an iMac with OS X Yosemite 10.10 and I can't work on how to change settings wireless to the printer - despite the HP site search for advice.  Frustrating...

Any help or advice will be appreciated.

See you soon,.

Hi ally4kat,

Sorry, the guide did not work for you.

After some research, I found this post, Re: Photosmart C4780, by my colleague @MissTeriLynn. Even if the post says to Mac OS X 10.9. I think it will work on both Mac OS X 10.10.

I hope this helps!

Hello, im having a problem going on with my wireless network and really need help. I have a pummel wireless "netgear" and I changed the administrative name and added own mt personal password or paraphrase 6 months ago when I 1st put in place... 2 months ago my son of 12 years told our nieghbors the password to our secure wifi network and now I need to change the password. We never had any connection problems or have been started our network then put on a random {no} unill 2 weeks after this password was compermized. ANYONE KNOW HOW TO CHANGE THE SSID ROUTER PASSWORD? YOUR HELP WILL BE HIGHLY APPRECIATED!

Open your browser and type 192.168.1.1 in the address bar. The default username is admin and the default password is the password if you have not changed it. On the router configuration page, select 'Wireless Settings' in the left column. You can set up a new SSID, security type, and password here. If you have changed the default user name and the password to the router configuration page, use the reset button on the back of the router to reset to the factory settings and proceed as above.

  • Key change for an existing XP wireless network

I am running Windows XP.  I needed to change the key for my wireless network.  He's changed on my router and my iPad & Windows 7 laptop computer can connect to it.  I can not find the screen on my XP machine, which allows me to change the key.  Can someone tell me where to find it?

What version of XP, including service pack (if of course, start > run > winver > OK)?

    • Open network connections (start > run > ncpa.cpl > OK)
    • Right-click on the icon for your wireless adapter and select Properties.
    • Click the "Wireless Networks" tab
    • You should look at this screen:   http://tinyurl.com/8lmz4
    • If you are not looking to the display shown in the screenshot or the box at the top to "Use Windows to configure my wireless network" is unchecked, STOP: you use a 3 rd-party utility to configure your wireless adapter and you need to figure out how to use that yourself or at least identification.
    • Assuming you use Windows to configure your wireless network card, find the SSID of your router (network name) in the list of preferred networks and 'delete '.
    • OK your way out.
    • Go to view available wireless networks, find yours, click connection and enter the new password when you are prompted.

Alternatively, instead of removing your network in the list of preferred networks, you can click 'Properties' and then change the key in the tab "Association."  I suggest that you remove the network and let Windows find just in case something other that the key has been changed (for example, the type of encryption or algorithm).

  • Name of the mn500 base station wireless network (be) changed to MSHOME.

Run a wireless network with the mn500 smooth base station for years.   Last Saturday the network name is MSHOME.  Any thoughts on what is happening or how to change back the name I assigned it?

Sorry, I misunderstood.  You are referring to the name wireless ID SSID (Service Set).  It is defined in the configuration of your wireless router.  I'm not familiar with this particular router, but with most routers, you can use a web browser to connect to the router (your model, it is http://192.168.2.1) preference of a wired connection that to change the SSID will cause a disconnect wireless, connect you with password "admin" (unless it's been changed) and change the settings.  On most routers, hold the button Reset on the router will return to factory settings which is possible as to how this change could occur.  Links to the user guide and manual configuration is on this page:

  • I can delete, change and move all other profiles wireless network but one that reappears immediately after that I erase it.

I have exactly the same problem in Windows Vista Ultimate Edition.  I can delete, change and move all other profiles wireless network but one that reappears immediately after that I erase it.

I see that you asked initially that this issue in 2010.  Has there every been a resolution?

My Eureka has been using netsh, explains Superuser.com «How to completely remove a wireless network from Vista» Everything I found on the Microsoft site doesn't give any examples on how to find profiles (netsh wlan name) or the statement appropriate to remove this profile (netsh wlan dlete name = "the name exactly as shown, case-sensitive quotes". That he solved it for me.

However, if you have a gateway device, all devices in gateway (modem + router) are terrible for connectivity and wireless performance.   If this does not work, suggest you put this bridge in full bridge mode device and install your own router of high quality that YOU have full control over.

    Hi floats,

You will find that this document contains instructions to install the product in a wireless network using an access point , such as a router . This type of network is called an infrastructure network. HP recommends the type of network infrastructure for a wireless connection to your product.

Follow the steps outlined in the document below and let me know how it goes?

  • Cannot change properties or remove any wireless network

    Hi all

I can't change the properties or delete any saved in my laptop wireless network. I get an error message:"Windows has encountered an error in the recording of the wireless profile. "Error: access denied".

I use Windows 7 Professional, logged as administrator. I've updated wireless drivers, but that has not helped.

Because of this problem, I can not connect to a wireless network, whose password has been changed. When you try to change the password through the andSharingCenter network-> manage wireless networks, I get the above error message. I also tried to delete the network but could not, that nothing is happening, there is no error message, but the network is not removed.

    Can anyone help please?
