Cannot change properties or remove any wireless network

Hi all

I can't change the properties or delete any saved in my laptop wireless network. I get an error message:"Windows has encountered an error in the recording of the wireless profile. "Error: access denied".

I use Windows 7 Professional, logged as administrator. I've updated wireless drivers, but that has not helped.

Because of this problem, I can not connect to a wireless network, whose password has been changed. When you try to change the password through the andSharingCenter network-> manage wireless networks, I get the above error message. I also tried to delete the network but could not, that nothing is happening, there is no error message, but the network is not removed.

Can anyone help please?

    Hi all

I just bougth today a Satellite A300, everything works fine except the wireless access. Ethernet access works very well, and the problem is not with my wireless device since it works with my old laptop.

It cannot locate any wireless network. It does not appear to be activated WLAN and I don't know how to enable it in the BIOS.

The swicht wireles on the front of the laptop is turned ON, but not the function Fn + F8 appearing at all.

    Can anyone help please?

What you mean with this WLAN is in the BIOS not enabled? Normally, you can change all BIOS options then try to activate it.
Also make sure that the WLAN switch is on and active with FN + F8.

Visit the Toshiba for a driver and the update to the BIOS:

original title: Wireless help network device

Help, please. I had to reinstall my windows OS and now I can't connect to my wireless device. When I try it tells me that it cannot detect any wireless network hardware. I am currently connected via my laptop air card. Please help me to find and correct the problem.

Have you installed all of the correct drivers?

  • Key change for an existing XP wireless network

I am running Windows XP.  I needed to change the key for my wireless network.  He's changed on my router and my iPad & Windows 7 laptop computer can connect to it.  I can not find the screen on my XP machine, which allows me to change the key.  Can someone tell me where to find it?

What version of XP, including service pack (if of course, start > run > winver > OK)?

    • Open network connections (start > run > ncpa.cpl > OK)
    • Right-click on the icon for your wireless adapter and select Properties.
    • Click the "Wireless Networks" tab
    • You should look at this screen:   http://tinyurl.com/8lmz4
    • If you are not looking to the display shown in the screenshot or the box at the top to "Use Windows to configure my wireless network" is unchecked, STOP: you use a 3 rd-party utility to configure your wireless adapter and you need to figure out how to use that yourself or at least identification.
    • Assuming you use Windows to configure your wireless network card, find the SSID of your router (network name) in the list of preferred networks and 'delete '.
    • OK your way out.
    • Go to view available wireless networks, find yours, click connection and enter the new password when you are prompted.

Alternatively, instead of removing your network in the list of preferred networks, you can click 'Properties' and then change the key in the tab "Association."  I suggest that you remove the network and let Windows find just in case something other that the key has been changed (for example, the type of encryption or algorithm).

    Collaborative I've tried:

1 http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/TSB9602NC0000R01.htm - in the directory toshiba\wlan there are 3 directories: intel, atheros and realtek... following the steps, the only factor that installs is intel one... If I try to navigate to the folder Realtek can't find anything compatible... (the network lan card is realtek, so I guess that the Wlan should be the same... as also indicated in the url)

The next sollution I try is updating the bios, but I have no whink it is useful.

So please help me with a sollution for my WiFi problem!

    Thank you

    Hi creativu22,

First, you must identify the type of wireless network card before you begin to install all the drivers available. Therefore, you can also search with vendor and device ID.
    Check this box!

If you have installed the driver successfully and your wireless network adapter is listed in the Device Manager, you must check the TCP/IP settings. Maybe you need to use static IP addresses, but it depends on your router.

Try turning off also in Power Options Windows WLAN energy saving features!

  • Satellite A200 not regognise any wireless network

    Hello world

I have a Toshiba Satellite A200 with Windows VIsta Home Premmium Wireless does not, there not regognise any wireless network.
I opened the Configfree, activate the wireless and radar, it not fint anything.

With a wiless scanaer program said that there is no w onboard card.

    What should I do?

    Thank you

    Why you use Configfree?
Forget this tool and use either clean of Windows configuration options or the manufacturer of the WLan card too.

First you should check if the WiFi network has been successfully activated.
Then, check if the wireless network adapter using the same WLan 802. 11 A B or G standard as your router WLan at home.
Also, check your encryption settings and the type of encryption.

And read other threads here because in most cases the WLan problems can be solved the same way!

  • Pavilion 14-ab051tx N4G24PA: unable to connect to any wireless network after the upgrade to Windows 10

I recently bought a 14-ab-51tx Pavilion N4G24PA, this is my first laptop from HP, it comes with Windows already installed 8.1 and it worked fine.

The thing is, I kind of get used to using Windows 10 on my previous laptop, so without further hesitation I upgraded to 64-bit Windows 10.

    Here's what I did wrong:

Instead of update Windows 8.1 for Windows 10, I indeliberately he installed fresh, with couple of mouse clicks, I didn't realize that I also remove the recovery partition.

I realized only after the installation process is complete, but then it was too late. I look forward to using my laptop with Windows 10 freshly installed inside to make some games just noticed that I couldn't connect to any network without wire, House or public. It recognizes my wifi at home, but the signal bar is bizarre, there is only 1 bar of signal even if the wireless router is only about 10 feet from him, so I checked my other computers and smartphones, but the signal on them is ridiculously high (full bar), it also detects another wireless network that are further away than my wireless router.

But back to my HP laptop, I tried to connect to my home network despite the signal bar with the right entry security key, but it does not connect, it says "Cannot connect to the network".

Tried updating drivers with HP Support Assistant and no luck, the problem persists, tried all the solution on the internet, int ip reset, reset winsock, checking and unchecking, always without success.

    Can someone help me please...

    Hello:

The BOM indicates that your laptop comes with a Broadcom wireless card.

Have you tried the last W10 driver for this card to support your PC and driver page?

This package contains the Broadcom Wireless LAN drivers for the laptop models running a supported operating system. Broadcom wireless LAN drivers are required to activate the built-in Broadcom wireless LAN adapter.

  • Cannot change the password for my wireless connection

The wireless router has changed the key and I need to change the key/password on my windows computer 7, but it is not letting me.

Usually on other computers, you can right-click the connection wireless from the taskbar and it will give you options of 'Connect' and 'Properties' (and you can change it in the properties).  But on this computer, there is no 'Properties' option, simply connect.  How can I get the Properties tab?

You use a third-party wireless instead of Windows Manager? If to check with the manufacturers support site or your user manual for assistance to change the properties of the wireless network.

You could also, last spring, just remove the existing profile and then re-create it with the new encryption key.

  • Is no longer able to connect to any wireless network...

I use a laptop Dell Studio 1555 with card WiFi Intel Wifi Link 5100 AGN and Windows 7 64-bit. Last night I started having problems with my wireless connection. I assumed it was just the router cause one time and one time even if I restart it cause it starts to act up. So I rebooted the router and it seemed to solve the problem for about an hour. Then it starts again, first with the connection without access to the internet while remaining connected. Tried to restart the router again, no solution. Then, it wouldn't even connect to the signal. So I tried the windows diagnostics, who said he had a problem with the router. However my Motorola Droid X 2 was connected and had no problems. So I tried a long list of things to fix.

    Tried:
    1 reboot the router (yet..)
2 do a full power cycle, including the modem and the laptop (no solution..)
3 turn off wifi via switch and software (no solution...)
4 system restore before the latest updates installed (no solution...)
5 has tried to update the drivers through Windows update (said they were up-to-date)
6 tried to connect to other wireless signals around (wouldn't connect to any network)
7 delete saved records wireless info (no solution..)
Gave up to decided to go to the bed and fix it today. Still not a not connect even after being stop all night. Went to school (University) and tried to connect to the wifi. He worked initially for about 15 minutes, and then he started again to ruin. I tried different things to fix it still do not work. So I plugged it into an Ethernet Jack, which works fine and went to the site of Intel to see if it was updated since I check not earlier, who were there and drivers downloaded. They have installed and seemed to fix the problem again for about 30 min. Then he went down again.
    Also tried:
1 install the updated Intel drivers (fixed for about 30 minutes then stopped)
    2. completely removed the wireless drivers and reinstalled (did nothing)
    3. diagnostics running I tried again (Nothing)
4 tried to look through various settings, IPv4, 6, 6 had caused problems a long time ago, other properties (could not find anything that fixed something)
    5. constantly search online options (have not found anything useful)
If after trying just about everything I can think of to solve the problem, I still have to fix anything. And only using a cable connection is not an option. Anyone else have any suggestions or know what I can do to solve the problem? I'd appreciate any help I can get. Thanks advance. If you need more system card just ask.

    Hello

Thanks for posting the question. I've surely you will help find a solution on the issue.

This looks like a problem with the wireless card. I suggest you borrow a USB wireless adapter and check if it works or not.

If so, you can contact dell for warranty replacement or watch to replace the adapter.

Open your browser and type 192.168.1.1 in the address bar. The default username is admin and the default password is the password if you have not changed it. On the router configuration page, select 'Wireless Settings' in the left column. You can set up a new SSID, security type, and password here. If you have changed the default user name and the password to the router configuration page, use the reset button on the back of the router to reset to the factory settings and proceed as above.

  • How can I remove the wireless network settings and the Working Group?

I used the Setup Wizard to establish them, and now I want to remove them completely.  I use Windows XP SP3.

    Hi 13emily,

Try the step below to remove the connection to the computer's wireless network.

    (a) click Start, click Control Panel, and then click network connections.

    (b) right click on wireless network connection and then click Remove.

    To remove a network component

    http://www.Microsoft.com/resources/documentation/Windows/XP/all/proddocs/en-us/howto_remove_component.mspx?mfr=true

When you set up a network, Windows automatically creates a workgroup and gives it a name. As we cannot delete a task force but if you rename the working group which will remove access to other computers.

    To rename a computer

  • Cannot print (or ping) via a wireless network on our network printer

We have a laptop HP with Windows 7 that cannot ping or print on our wireless printer.  Oddly enough, it works fine when I plugin the cable to the laptop.  We have two mac to print wireless with no problem.  Any thoughts?

You can also ask if the printer is open to communications by other computers, why would it block your laptop unless there is a problem with the configuration of the laptop wireless? You know that printer drivers Windows and basic network are OK, because the laptop prints when you connect via ethernet. Get rid of barriers potential in wireless communications (ie. firewalls, some anti-malware software) is the first step to solve the problem.

The laptop uses the same standard as the printer wireless (802. 11 b/g) or is it blocked in 802.11n? The printer can be configured for Infrastructure or Ad Hoc mode. A route of communication directly to wireless computers, the other routes communications through your wireless router. The wireless connection for laptop and printer are on the same subnet? What are the addresses wireless IP of the laptop and printer?
