Chapter markers aligning not current time created

I have a second 6 clip in the timeline panel. When I press the button create new chapter marker to new marker aligns, sometimes from 8 frames or so.

However, I have a second 21 clip in the same timeline and markers to right-align the center of the current-time indicator.

The length of the element in the timeline has an effect on the placement of the marker?

If your clip is already transcoded in MPEG2 DVD, then chapter markers

can fall only on the limits of the GOP.  These can be as much as half a second

away from the current image.

  • Generate the table of contents with chapter markers?

It has been a while since I had to install and create a table of contents for a long document of single file, but I'm sure that I created TOCs in this way in the past. Then, why the text in the Section markers will appear in the table of contents? It is even possible to generate a table of contents that contains text of article marker?

I use InDesign CS5 in Windows. I have a file single document I'm trying to generate a table of contents for. I designed a 16-page manual in an inDesign file that includes a cover page, table of contents page and seven "chapters."

I created a separate section for each 'chapter' and used Chapter markers in the top of the page master for chapter names. It's something I did in the past of syntactically long documents containing several chapters.

I put the first page of each 'chapter' as a new Section on the Pages panel. In numbering and Section Options for each page, I checked the Section getting started, Automatic Page numbering, the Style of Page numbering: 1,2,3,4... and in Section marker: I put the name of 'chapter' in the text box.

    InDesign_Pages_NumberingSectionOptions.jpg

I've set up paragraph and character Styles and has used throughout my document. When I put in place the table of contents I created everything correctly, including a heading style that I used for all the sub lines in my file and my style of Section marker for chapter names.

    InDesign_TOC.jpg

When I insert the table of contents, generate headers sub with their page numbers, but the titles of the chapters which are chapter markers do not generate. Am I missing something or is it still possible to enter the text of chapter markers in a table of contents? I'm sure that he's worked in the past. Can anyone offer a solution for this?

    Thank you

Looks like the markers section present only in the table of contents if they are on a document page. Try manually to the substitution of the frame.

  • For use in VLC chapter markers

I have a video I play in VLC and want to use the next / previous buttons, but chapter markers are not displayed in VLC, is anyway to do this?

  • Sequences can inherit the nested sequences chapter markers?

I am in my project of edition about 2 hours of video. For that things remain manageable and being able to do fast makes it partial, I have divided the project into several parts. Each part is edited in a clean sequence. Finally I combine parts by adding them in the form of sequences embedded in my master sequence. The problem with this approach is that I can't get the creation to inherit the nested sequences chapter markers. For example, in my 03 sequence, I put a chapter marker.

    sequence.png

When I put this sequence in my master sequence, chapter markers will not appear and it is also not be counted when I export the main movie to a DVD:

    master-sequence.png

I could of course place the markers on the main sequence, but I would rather their place in the sequence of the child for two reasons:

    • Markers and edited scenes would be in one place.
    • If I choose to re - edit some parts of the sequence, I won't forget to update the position of the mark.

I'd love to hear your ideas on how I could do this. If my work flow is poor/ineffective, I'd love to hear about that, too

You can do all your editing in different sequences and bring them a master.

But I leave the markers to the end of the Master.

  • Editing marks do not produce movies Quicktime chapter markers

I put six chronological markers in my project PE10, made a Quicktime movie, and when I went to import the movie into iDVD, there is no chapter marker. Why not? This function of chronological markers, used to work with my old Adobe Premiere 6.5 application? I bought PE10 to put my video editing until the current level and now, one of the basic functions is not there. Can someone shed light on this deficit PE10? If this function has been deleted (by chance?), when it will be added in a future update?

Chapter markers are for a DVD/BD, not the share / export to the file.

  • First CS4 DVD chapter markers exporting do not

Chapter brands still do not appear when I import files into yet. I export with the "MPEG2-DVD" preset and import into Encore.  I tried the dynamic link back and forth again. BTW, Dynamic Link "Send again" creates a new project yet. I want to add to an existing project.

I see no settings in the preferences of Media Encoder or the hand Concept "H.264" preset. This used to be automatic. What I am doing wrong?

    1. Make sure you used DVD Encore brands in your sequence of Pr and the not quite ordinary sequence markers.
    2. Make sure you named the markers and not leave the field empty name.
    3. Make sure that you export the XMP metadata as follows:

And to add more than one sequence of Pr to fr, or to add Pr sequences to an existing project of en, go inside in.  Open the project in and use the file | Command of Adobe Dynamic Link.

  • Chapter not appearing markers do not

If for any reason any my new 4th Gen Apple TV does not seem to recognize chapter markers on the videos that I encoded in Handbrake. If I open the file with Quicktime chapters show. On my 3rd generation and 2nd Gen Apple TV, they both show upward. But for some reason any 4th Gen does not recognize them.

I have other files that do not seem to work, but those that have been converted to MKV using iFlicks. So I don't know if it's something odd with how Handbrake encodes the markers or what.

Make sure that you have given the track chapter language.

Use version 7.  Apart from that, you'd probably have to talk to Apple.

There is your problem.  Don't, don't.  Chapters automatically flow into the other.  Define Actions to end only for a calendar.

  • Current-time indicator will not go at the end of the comp in After Effects CS6

The current-time indicator won't pass at the end of the comp in AE CS6. I install a new comp for 10 seconds. When I drag the Guide to current time OR press the end key to bring the current time at the end of the Model Locator, it stops at a value of 09:23. Is this a bug?

No, your pace is obviously 23.976, or more likely TOcorrrectly 24.

The first frame of the model is ZERO, as 00:00.  The last image is 09:23.  Which is what you defined.

00:00 - 09:23 is ten seconds.  00:00 - 10:00 is 10 seconds and a picture.  If the beginning frame was ONEframe, you would be correct in your statement of misfortune.  but the beginning is ZERO.

  • Some markers could not be legalized

    Hello

After completing my project in Premier Pro, I go in again and import and.wav as active .m2v files, then I click with the right button in the project area and select 'New chronology', and then I drag the .m2V and .wav files to the timeline. At this time I get the message saying some markers could not be legalized in DVD chapters. Then, I found most of my chapter markers have moved, usually backwards in time to maybe 30 seconds. Then, because the .m2v files don't read well in again, I spend much too much time put back chapter markers where they should be. In fact, I usually spend setting chapter markers may be twice longer than the creation of the project. Sometimes well read in yet, but for the most part .m2v files do not play back at all, depending on where I'm on the timeline. Adobe support would not help me because they say that they do not even more support. As CS6 was the last version yet and this is the version we use, how can they stop supporting it? Anyway, my question is, what workflow will load my project in Encore without changing the position of the chapter markers? I use the latest versions of both programs.

When you create markers in PP, put them all on a full-time or half-second mark, never in between.

So, you would put a marker at 01:00 instead of 01:00:05.  Or put you at 04:30:12 instead of 04:30:18.

To 30 frames per second, you will place the markers to 0 or 15 images.  For 60 fps, 0 or 30 images.  Always full or half a second mark.

  • Audio DVD chapter 1 does not begin with the video?

    Hi all

I get on a 20-second delay on the reading/beginning of my chapter 1 audio DVD.  So the video plays silently for 20 sec., then slows down the way as the audio begins and expects that he will catch upwards and from there they play in sync.

This file has also 7 other chapter on the timeline markers, but those are all triggered by chapter playlists.  Chapter 1 is the only chapter for this sequence that is directly related to a menu button, and this is essentially my button 'play together '.  Chapter playlists play pieces in this longer file.  There is also a second, shorter sequence directly related to a menu button, but there is no problem with the audio for it.

    Other details:

The problem file is about 63 minutes.  edited in Premiere Pro CS6 1080i HD images.  Finished sequence coded as standard definition Lagarith AVI.  Then coded the opinion of Lag in the SOUL than MPEG2-DVD to min = 2.8mbps target = 6.4 and max = 8 (2 pass VBR).  Audio is encoded in Dolby Digital AC3 320 Kbps.  (The other, more short to the same encoding settings file.)

The strange thing is that I used the same approach on an earlier version that used audio uncompressed PCM, and I have not experienced this problem.  The video encodes the parameters in

this case were min = 2.8, target = 7 and max = 8.  The reason why I dropped the video bitrate was to eliminate a stuttering problem I had the effects of transition.  While I was there

I thought that I would save space on the audio file using the AC3/Dolby instead of PCM.

I already tried to create a new project and rebuilt from scratch with the same result.

Help, please!  I have already burned so much time searching for answers to what I can't believe he (also the mysterious effects glitch issue)!  Get killed on my deadlines.

Thanks in advance for any suggestion or idea!

    The f

    .

Well, I thought that a few things.  There is probably more to this, but here's what made me through in case it helps someone else in the future.

First of all, I was wrong above on my working initially PCM audio version.  I returned and retested and had the same problem.  I think that cheated on me which was was that I had tested the shorter chapters first, then when I tried reading complete 63 minutes, the info needed/data file was already loaded and ready to play.  Then when I tried the longer selection, the audio and video have played together because they are supposed to.  A point I want to be clear about is that my test was while making sure that the piece of 63 minutes read correctly in the second as the open media player and has shown the main menu.  No waiting 30 seconds for it to load up, process, etc.  It's how people will try to read the disc in the real world.  They do not attend the child along.

So here's what I figured out.  First, after reading on the reading lists, I realized I needed, in addition to the chapter selections, I had already built.  So I used the playlist to enable playback of the section 63 minutes and then chapter playlists to give access to shorter parts within this segment.  Everything I had read before talking constantly using a playlist specifically to string together several chronologies, but it works for this as well.  Once I did, it was as if he took the media player need to 'think' about all Chapter markers that he would play through on this segment.  After this change in writing, the audio delay disappeared on one of the test computers.

But the second computer still had the issue.  So the second part of the solution has been realize (after scanning of many consumers PC articles on the topic) has it easy for a media player to lose part of it is the feature due to the changes in the default settings of your computer.  In my case, for the reading and screening should, I have three media players on this particular system.  I went through and looked at all the parameters by default, and they were quite scattered (I am still under Windows 7 Professional).  So for this test, I went with the lowest common denominator and restore all my settings by default media player from Windows and rebooted.  If you happen to do, be sure to watch your AutoPlay functions, because they may still be in conflict, even if reset you the defaults of others.

Once I did, I got correct reading on the second computer as well.  Still don't know why there was no clue as to the first part of the question with the preview yet, but honestly, I'm just glad I got through it.  Good luck if it happens to you!
