Choose the right model of project

I'm pretty handy with Primere Pro CS5 and a bit with After Effects.

Usually of digital HD work.

But when it comes to formats, well, it's something that I need to focus on learning.

I have a DCR-HC21. Records on Mini-DV tape.

I have a lot of videos I want to transfer them to DVD.

I am able to import video from the camera using firewire, in first Pro CS5.

However, I want to be sure I chose the right settings when

initially implemented for the project. For the best quality.

Any help would be great.

Try this:

And to better understand what is happening, look at this:

How to choose the right sequence settings?

Edit:

When you create a new project you are presented
with a setting of the sequence to the choice menu.
You can skip this step by pressing "Cancel", then import your media
and create the type of sequence that best adapts to your images.

    Hello

I bought my first laptop a year before. It's a Dell Studio. Shortly after unpacking, I found there room key problem, so I replaced it with an Inspiron, who just turned the problem of mouse pad.

Now I need to buy a new laptop of a friend and of course Studio and Inspiron are not my choice for known issues. When I did research on the XPS, I found that there are too many graphics and cooling fan problems. Thus, all models of Dell have known problems. What are my options now?

Although Dell warranty offer, complete replacement is valid only up to 20 days. Not to mention the stress returns and replacements.

With these known issues, I'm not ready to pay more than $500 no matter what configuration so that never.

All honest advice or offer will save Dell the passage of my choice to ASUS.

    Thank you

    Samia

In all honesty, is not a single computer system already in existence that had no "known issues." Everything has known problems. So take with a grain of salt "reports". There is always more complaints than praise on any system. Except for maybe the computers Apple, because they have been known to remove discussions in the forums complaining of problems. It is also interesting to note that many system actually mutually use the parts. Dell uses, in many cases, RAM Samsung, for example. So, sometimes failure is not needed due to the company (Dell, HP, Samsung, etc.), but the OEM of this particular part. Supported products and services is important to consider. How a company handles a problem that a customer is often more important than the cause of the problem in the first place.

I would recommend a XPS if you consider it, but there are a lot of different variables. It would be useful to learn more about what your friend wants a system. If your friend is looking for a laptop with a power, but not looking to be a great player, then I recommend then XPS 12 or XPS 13. The 12 would be with the convertible screen to make a Tablet when necessary. 13 is fine if you are not concerned about the convertible display. Both systems are light and take a small footprint while having a good power behind them.

Important note: I highly recommend to buy a protection plan with cover against accidental damage. It is usually fairly inexpensive, and from personal experience, I can testify to his interest. I have two children and I replaced my system several times during. Of course, it's a pain to have to go through the process, but the pain and hassle is less than having to repurchase all simply a system.

If your friend has specific needs or need a system, or if there is any other questions, let me know and I can do my best to help.

Support for dual channel DDR3L (1600 MHz)

Support 8192 MB RAM system in the following configurations:

    8192 MB (8192 MB × 1, × 4096 MB 2)

A 8 GB module is listed in the manual, and it's a 3rd generation of processor i5 I suspect 2 x 8 = 16 concerts would work, but strictly following the manual your only option is to add a 4 GB for a total of 8. Most users really not more 8 GB and adding a second identical module will allow two-channel operation, so you should see a noticeable jump in the overall performance.

I don't think that TO_CHAR can do by itself.  You should maybe call TO_CHAR and then manipulate the output a bit.

Looks like TO_CHAR with 1 single argument does exactly what you want except when it returns a string starting with a decimal point, in which case you want to concatenate a '0'.  So call TO_CHAR with 1 argument, see if returns the string begins with a decimal point and, if so, put a '0' on it, like this:

    WITH got_str AS

    (

    SELECT n

    TO_CHAR (n) AS str

    FROM the data

    )

    SELECT n

    CASE

    WHAT LIKES str '. %'

    THEN "0". Str

    Of ANOTHER str

    END AS str0

    OF got_str

    ;

    Output:

    STR0 N

    ---------- -----------------------------------------

    0,123.123

    12345678-12345678

    12345678.1 12345678.1234

    12345678.1 12345678.123

    12.0000001 12.00000008

What do you want for greater than-1 negative numbers?  You may need to make the CASE a little more complicated expression, like this:

    WITH got_str AS

    (

    SELECT n

    TO_CHAR (n) AS str

    FROM the data

    )

    SELECT n

    CASE

    WHAT LIKES str '. %'

    THEN "0". Str

WHEN the str LIKE '. %'

    THEN '-0 "|" SUBSTR (str, 2)

    Of ANOTHER str

    END AS str0

    OF got_str

  • How to choose the right project settings?

I am new in taking video and modifying them. I bought a Sanyo Xacti HD camcorder and a lot of clips in my last trip. The clips are transferred to my count and have the format. Depth of MP4 1280 - 720 1280 and 29.97 frames per second.

I want to create after having been released on DVD I can show on my TV 16:9 (PAL Netherlands)

When I create a new project, I choose the seetings and I don't really know how to choose!

Should what project settings I choose in the settings I see that 30 fps under NTSC systems. Is there somewhere a general explanation how?

    Help will be very appreciated!

    Greetings Willem

Before the NTSC in PAL, I think that there are other major considerations.

    1. you save the 16:9 720 p 30 1280 x 720 at 30 frames per second, using the MPEG-AVC/H.264 codec). Seems to me you are dealing with what they call "AVCHD Lite". If so, there are major problems of basic editing in first Elements 7. See the FAQ of Steve Grisetti

    http://forums.Adobe.com/thread/454585?TSTART=0

    2. your comments suggest that you want to create the widescree of DVD-VIDEO (16:9) of your timeline.

    3. so, first and foremost, I would determine if you can successfully bring your video in Elements 7 first and export the DVD-VIDEO in NTSC system, before thinking on the conversion of a video NTSC a PAL end product.

    4. as a general rule, you select the preset of the project (new project dialog box) to match the properties of your video. Once done this will not stop you changing predefined export later. In the case of your NTSC by Sanyo 720p30 video, I suggest the project (new project dialogue box) = NTSC HDV HDV 720p30 preset. Think the project defined by default as a template from which you can edit your video. Although this 720 p is a variant of AVCHD, I would suggest the HDV category since there is no preset under AVCHD 720 p. Note that the descriptions on the right which you have set the preset.

    5. in Share/disc/disc, in the dialog box burn, and then select the preset: NTSC_Widecreen_Dolby DVD. If it's all completed successfully, then we can talk about conversion of NTSC 1280 x 720 16:9 for a DVD VIDEO PAL (720 x 576 25 fps with a flag from 16:9 to stretch the video on screen after the encoding).

  • CBO does not choose the right execution plan

    Database: Oracle 9.2.0.6 EA
    OS: Solaris 9

I'm trying to settle a query that is generated through Siebel Analytics. I see a behavior which is confusing to me but I hope, would be 'basic' for someone like JPL.

The query is based on a total of 7 tables. If I comment on the 2 dimension tables, the query takes the right index finger on the fact table. However, at the point where I have to add another table to the query, the plan goes awry.

The query with 5 tables is as below:
    select count(distinct decode( T30256.HEADER_FLG , 'N' , T30256.ROW_WID ) ) as c1,
    T352305.DAY_DT as c2,

    T352305.ROW_WID as c5
    from
                   W_PRODUCT_D T30955,
                   W_PRDATTRNM_D T44643,
                   W_DAY_D T352305,
                   W_ORDERITEM_F T30256,
                   W_PRDATTR_D T40081
    where  ( T30955.ROW_WID = T44643.ROW_WID
    and T30256.LAST_UPD_DT_WID = T352305.ROW_WID
    and T30256.PROD_ATTRIB_WID = T40081.ROW_WID
    and T30256.PROD_WID = T30955.ROW_WID
    and T30955.PROD_NAME = 'Mobile Subscription'
    and (case  when T44643.PRODUCT_CLASS_NAME = 'MobileSubscription' then T40081.ATTR15_CHAR_VAL else 'Unspecified' end  in ('BT150BB-18M', 'BT250BB-18M', 'BT50BB-18M', 'BT600BB-18M'))
    and T352305.DAY_DT between TO_DATE('2008-09-27' , 'YYYY-MM-DD') - 7 and TO_DATE('2008-09-27' , 'YYYY-MM-DD') - 1
    )
    group by
    T352305.ROW_WID, T352305.DAY_DT,
case  when T44643.PRODUCT_CLASS_NAME = 'MobileSubscription' then T40081.ATTR15_CHAR_VAL else 'Unspecified' end

Note how the dimension tables W_PRODUCT_D & W_DAY_D are connected by a Cartesian join before joining the fact W_ORDERITEM_F table using the composite index 'W_ORDERITEM_F_INDX9 '. This index is composed of LAST_UPD_DT_WID, PROD_WID and ACTION_TYPE_WID, which are foreign keys to the dimension tables.

Now, if I add several tables to the query:

Now, CBO choose the composite index and the cost has also increased to 78695. But if I just add a / * + SORTED * / referring to the above query, whereas it should join the dimension tables prior to joining the fact table, then the cost falls to 20913. This means that CBO is not choose the plan with the lowest cost. I tried increasing the optimizer_max_permutations 80000, setting session optimizer_dynamic_sampling level 8 (just to see if it works), but without success.

Could you please tell how to overcome this problem?

    Thank you very much.

The optimizer is set to 'choose', which is the default in 9i. So I guess that CBO uses the "all_rows" mode, because his stats are present.

According to your advice, I tried to adjust optimizer_mode, first_rows_1, first_rows_10, first_rows_100 and all_rows at the session level, but nothing helped.

Another question: since you are obviously having a schema star why don't you use not three separate bitmap indexes on the foreign key columns in the fact table? In this way, you can use a transformation star rather than using a composite index.

You use many OLTP, small, such as transactions that modify your fact table, or is it only loaded by loading in bulk? If you use only loads in bulk index bitmap should be fine.

    Kind regards

  • Choose the right course of training OR + Certification

    Hello

Hopefully, I'm in the right section of the forum.

I have some basic knowledge of labview, I created, changed a few screws for hardware equipment such as glasses, food etc, that's when I worked as a trainee.

Well now, I would like to go for certification OR beginners course (certified associate developer) to advanced (architect) and want to start taking my first step, I need some advice.

I went through the training information available on the home page and a few questions,

    (1) these courses cover all specific application domain or is a general training, so we can have a bird's-eye view and then apply knowledge in a field interested as (material loop (HIL)), on-board etc.?

    (2) what level of course should start with?

    (3) I want to do an internship, which might be enough to eventually put me on a job in these tough times? What certification do I go to, how much time it usually takes to get enough experience and the examination of the basic certification, the Certified Associate Developerand other developer likeCertified levels and the architect?

    (4) I thought to do strong foundation by taking basic through training courses, OR mount on a project (if I find one) and develop skills in parallel while working and in preparation for certificate exams.

    (5) is there a test by which I could determine, what level I need to start with?

I look forward to hearing from you of the people onboard, please guide me.

No and truths don't discourge me :-)

This might be a post immature, because I'm confused where to start with, please bear with me and answer me

    Kind regards

    Leo

    Hi leo,

Yes it is possible. If you have spent enough time, then you can definitely get the knowledge needed to pass the certification. You can take the test online and you can print a few examples. There is also a lot of discussions in the forum about the questions and the answers.

What do you mean with LabVIEW training? If you do a course, the course textbook contains the things you need for certification.

    It will be useful.

  • Choose the right paper for the job

Printing photos at home is a convenience that can save time and gas money. But sometimes printing comes out dull and faded and you know that the cartridges are fine. It might be the paper being uses in the printer that may be the problem. Learn how to choose the photo book of right for the work to achieve sharp and vibrant images. This link covers everything from how to choose the correct size paper to do the job and to fit the image.  It also has a chart that shows what that finish and best suits the event and then you try to look just as it should. Do it right the first time can not only save time; but too much ink!  Here is the link: http://www.hp.com/united-states/consumer/digital_photography/buying_guides/how_select_paper.html?jum...

  • How to choose the right settings in pre 10 for videos I have?

I have Adobe first items 10 and you want to edit videos that I had received from a company that has transferred my Super 8 videos in format digital and saved on an external hard drive. They have the extension avi, codec Apple Motion JPEG A, image size: 1920 x 1080, pixel aspect ratio: 16:9, FPS: 29.97. I don't know what settings to choose from for the best image quality. I tried a few and the quality is poor. I need help. Thank you

    Editing,

You HAVE found the right forum, and John and Steve are on the problem.

Now with MJPEG images, I normally recommend this ARTICLE (from the subforum tips & tricks), but you have a somewhat unique problem, because your film contains a specific CODEC, the Apple Motion JPEG CODEC.

Are you on a Mac or a PC?

I don't know if Apple QT Player installation also adds the Apple MJPEG CODEC, as is Apple's CODEC H.264 and a little more. If so, you should have the appropriate CODEC. Also, I don't know if Mac come with Apple MJPEG CODEC installed. Others will have to answer these questions. I have four MJPEG CODEC on my laptop. One was the MainConcept, I bought, installed with Canon G-10 my wife installed with its Lumix, and then there is another, which has probably been installed elsewhere. None of my friends (I have Apple QT Pro on the laptop) appear as Apple, but that last one might be

Can I change hardware MJPEG well enough (not as gently as SD DV - AVI, but still good enough).

    Good luck

    Hunt

PS - for telecine work, I got the 8 mm/S - 8mm digital images to tape miniDV (harder to find telecine houses, what to do now) and only use my Canon camcorder to capture those tapes on FireWire in first. Which works very well.

  • How to choose the right photo-album

I want to use pictures for my video. I have four different albums. FCP X shows pictures of the only album (and not the good).

What should I do to choose the good album (and photos)?

In Photos-> preferences, click on use as Photo library system.

  • Choose the right power supply for hp P6180t

Hi I'm going to buy a new power supply soon for my HP pavilion p6180t desktop computer and I started a 300w to the corsair cx750 power level. I also want to get a new graphics card soon something in the mid-range. I was wondering if this power supply is the right choice, or if its too much for my computer because I read in another forum that you do not want a power supply with a lot more power you will actually need. For a gtx 660, the minimum is 600w I think so I wanted to just make sure that the power supply is the right choice for my computer. Thank you

In fact, I think that the minimum for a gtx660 is 450w. I think a 750w for this computer is excessive. A 500w would be a lot. But if you buy one with too much power is just a waste of money it actually will not cause a problem. Like putting gasoline in an engine that doesn't need only regular.

  • How to choose the right layer just pointing?

I have a file with many layers (a composition with lots of different hidden items and comped together) and used the V tool by pressing Ctrl to select the appropriate layer.

After organizing my layers into groups, which no longer works.  Pointing takes me for the Group containing the layer I want, and I still have to understand that, in the old-fashioned way (toggle visibility on all of them until this I find the right one).  With nested groups, it is even worse, and the point function is totally broken.

I noticed that point function has had some other good improvements: it shows the contours of layers and a few numbers when the ctrl key is pressed.

So, is there a more refined way to use the feature to make it useful again?

OK, it seems that changing the radio button in the group to the layer, is what I wanted.  Leaving the AutoSelect deselected. the option is separated from him is no not part of this, as it seems.  The ': ' at the end makes it appear that the option right applies to the function on the left and means nothing without her.

Regarding right-clicking, which gives a long list of everything, and not just what I could be pointing.  Too bad, it would be a handy feature.  Right-click to change diapers doesn't help if I only know the name that is on the photo: the 'hard' is to toggle the visibility up to this I find, and which is no longer available in the layers panel.
