Chromebook 14: Chromebook battery is to Charge not

I have a Chromebook which does not charge and the battery is dead.  When I plug the power adapter in, the charging light does not illuminate and I plugged it in for 3 days and battery Chromebooks is still dead.  I tried to use another adapter of feeding of Chromebook another of the same model.  The charging light did not come and he did not have the battery.  When I plugged the power adapter of the Chrombook with the dead battery to the other Chromebook, charge light came and it appeared to load than Chromebook, so I am sure that the problem is with the battery.  I had this same problem with this Chromebook last fall and I think that I had to replace the battery.  This could be the cause of this Chromebook go through batteries like this?

If you use the chromebook with ac plugged in without removing it... that has damage to the battery...

You must charge the battery at 10%

and you can take the ac turned off when the battery charge 95%

This is the safest way to charge the battery

There is something wrong with the circuit load or battery.

Well, for those who need to know how this issue is resolved (especially the guys from Lenovo ).

    The solution is very simple,

    • Install another battery in the laptop (I borrowed one from a partner)
    • Turn on the laptop until the Microsoft Windows startup
    • Then turn off the computer and install the original battery
    • Magically your battery will take over again.

That would mean he is no longer and maintain a charge and must be replaced as you observed when the power plug has been removed to it dies immediately. Look at the battery is must have a part number and card operating then go to eBay and those numbers of entry and a battery match should come up to otherwise you will have to go to the order of HP and find the battery it and order one it. So your options are now 2 years they battery probably has run its life expectancy and must be replaced.

  • Equium L40-156 - problem with the battery or the charger?

Hi all, I'm new here and have a question about my laptop.

My laptop does not turn on when I play and hold the thread at the back of the laptop where it charges and I have to hold it in place while the laptop charge upwards and once I connected, is that after a matter of a few minutes (if there are that) it says low battery and stops.
Is it my battery in the laptop that has disappeared or is it the charger adapter?

    Any help is appreciated, thanks.

    Hey,.

Of course it is not easy to say which is the reason why, but according to your announcement, there seems to be problem AC adapter.
I mean just start the laptop when you place the cable in place and if Windows starts up, it says low battery, so it s not charging but in the worst case, it could also be a malfunction of the motherboard.

So if you can get a new power adapter you should test. It s worth a try! ;)

In addition, when the power cord is removed, battery charge for a few moments then yellow flashing lights and load stops. When the stop, the battery charges normal and 100% charged battery gives almost 4 hours of time.

Can you please guide on the problem. Is the power supply problem? or the battery? or the card mother/material?

    How to check the problem?

It seems that you already posted a similar topic topic with your laptop a few years ago.
    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=63225

In the first case, it seems that your battery was the troublemaker.

You are talking about charging light. I m not very well what LED it should be.
There are 5 LEDs - from left: DC IN / power / battery / HDD, ODD / Bridge Media Slot

The first DC IN indicator lights green when power is form adapter correctly provided HQ. However, if the output voltage of the AC adapter is abnormal or if power outages computers, this LED will turn off.

The second left power led lights green when the laptop is turned on. If turn you the phone mode standby, this indicator flashes orange.

The third battery indicator show the conditions of the accusation of pulp. Green indicates that the battery is fully charged, orange indicates the battery is charging and orange blinking indicates a low battery level.

    Question:
Are you able to turn on the unit without the battery, but using only an adapter connected?
Usually, this should be possible even if the battery isn't inserted.

  • My laptop is plugged in, but the battery won't charge

    Hello

In the last two months, capability of my laptop to charge its battery has degraded.
She went to a battery completely (100%), not being able to load beyond 98% and then 66% and 30%, and now finally, it says "0% availability (plugged in, charge)", but it never increases support.

Thus, the laptop works when plugged into the charger, but does not illuminate when it is attached only on the battery.

I rebooted the computer several times - first to stop the machine, then unplug it, remove the battery, press and hold the Start button for a minute, then put the battery back, plug the charger in and rebooting the machine.

I installed updates for "Stacks" (IE. Microsoft AC adapter, compatible ACPI Microsoft control method battery and battery Composite Microsoft) in Device Manager.
I also uninstalled the Microsoft ACPI complaint method stack and shutdown and restarted the laptop several times.

Earlier I called Toshiba support and update the BIOS of 1.50 to 1.70, then restarted the computer, but yet again, the battery won't charge.

I bought a new battery, which showed that it was fully charged when when I have attached to my laptop, but when exhausted 0% load, I got the same message as for the other battery: "0% availability (plugged in, load).

I am really puzzled. If not, how can I try to increase the capacity of my laptop battery?

In my opinion, old battery was certainly defective.
Is your new original battery, Toshiba battery or any part of third-party product?

When you start Notepad without battery and put in place when Windows is loaded does the problem persist?

  • Satellite L500 - battery won't charge

    Hello

I had a problem last week - my laptop (Satellite L500) works well on alternating current, but the icon shows "plugged in, not load ' and the battery charge is at 0%. So if I remove the outgoing cable it runs immediately. Lighting load LED on the front of the battery is not more.

Laptop is a little more than two years, but works well, everything original Toshiba (battery and charger). I had noticed recently that the battery life was not what it was when lappy was new, but it lasted at least 45 minutes or more, so I knew the battery was endangered, but it is hard to believe it's just failed when two weeks ago could load and run OK?

    Any ideas?

    See you soon,.
    Rebecca

    > so I knew the battery was on the exit door but find it's hard to think he's just failed when two weeks ago could load and run OK?

I think that nothing is impossible, that it means that the battery could be defective.
Of course, it is my personal opinion, but I see only two possibilities: either its battery problem or motherboard problem.

So if I was you, I would check if the problem persists with a new battery tested.

By the way: you can also view this short work around:
-disconenct the battery and ac adptor
-Press the button power (30-40 seconds long)
-connect the battery and AC adapter and turn on the device
-to check if the battery can be charged.

    Hi all

    I have 2 laptops from Toshiba, a C650D & L750 / 04 k. The two laptops have exactly the same battery (PA3817U-1BRS. L750 battery couldn't hold a charge so I changed the C650 battery in the L750 & worked well.

Seems that the replacement battery is not recognized. Is this a compatibility issue?
If Yes, what is the right battery for L750 / 04K?

    Hello

I found information on European for L750 page on compatible batteries and follow the batteries are compatible with this model of laptop:

    PA3757U-1BRS
    PA3787U-1BRS
    PA3817U-1BRS
    PA3818U-1BRS
    PA3820U-1BRS

I guess the same batteries can be used on your Australian model.
