Cisco 3825 + PS3 Media Server 1.20.412 + Windows 7 Ultimate connection problems

Hello.

I ve been to fight with my router Cisco 3825 for awhile and can't understand * beep * won't.

If I use the Playstation 3 with Wifi, everything works allmost like a charm, works, PS3 Media Server, but I m having stuttering problems, so I tried to use the RJ45 to maximize the bandwidth of the side PS3, just channels wifi 54Mbps on HD streaming.

On my laptop I have Buffalo Nfinity 300/n wifi adapter, so I don´twant to connect to the laptop with RJ - 45, but to use the wifi from the router to the laptop.

So if I try to install PS3 with connection cable to my Cisco 3825, tried DHCP/StaticIP, the Media server will not work, even my Win 7 Mediaplayer will not work.

So question is, is that modem so "stupid" that he used anything wifi road to RJ45 side?

I can ping the same PS3 so it is connected RJ45, and PS3 goes to internet (laptop in wifi).

The router should have the Upnp option, but if I use the rj-45, the PS3 says "Not available", Wifi, it is available.

Any help pls?

PS Sorry my English skills, but hey I m try.

  • Running a server of Freelancer with Windows XP and have problems with updates

I run a server for a game called freelancer who has been released by Microsoft in 2003. My problem is that, in recent years, when I tried to get the server working after doing a clean install of WinXP Pro and get the updates, the server hanging and not start working properly. After several installations with various combinations of what has been installed after the OS, I finally got the server works, but get this: the server runs only on Windows XP with NO updates. WHY?

I have a theory that I can't prove it on WinXP... When Freelancer was released in 2003, XP was new and she has no security features there now, and I think that one or more of the mess of updates with the server of DirectPlay 8 which is integral to the operation of the server. Of you Eggheads Microsoft must know what I mean... I don't know enough on XP to do more to make a guess, and it's my guess...

Thank you for allowing me to escape,
    Tanamir

    Hello

DirectPlay has been moved to support engineering and is an obsolete API. This was done mainly because of security problems and the fact that most of the features of DirectPlay is no longer relevant. TCP/IP is the ubiquitous network protocol and support for the head-to-head modem, serial port,

NetBIOS, IPX and other suppliers is no longer relevant. Native API for TCP/IP in Windows is WinSock, and the usefulness of the library is so limited.

There are technologies in Windows XP SP 2 or later version that provide server under protocols of discovery to manage the features of lobbying (P2P and PNRP), and many third-party solutions exist for matching. Future Microsoft technologies for this will be based on WinSock and not of DirectPlay.

Support in future versions of the operating system will be determined primarily by the problem of application compatibility and will continue to be available through the Platform SDK for those supporting legacy streaming of DirectPlay applications.

  • Unable to connect PS3 Media Server

    Hello

I use windows 7 and I was happy when I turned on my PS3 one day I could see the movie from my PC files... Both are connected to the same network.

For some reason any now I am unable to locate my PC on the PS3 and I do not remember change parameter. The only thing I can think of was the installation of AVG security, but I am not convinced that this is the question that I have AVG on my laptop and the PS3 can see the computer...

I've lived and checked all the sharing settings that I can find, however, that has not fixed the problem.

    Any ideas would be appreciated.

    Thank you

    Juz

    Hello JuzConfused,

The only obvious reason that could have caused this problem now seems to be installation of security software AVG on your computer.

To find out if this is the origin of the problem, I suggest that you disable the Antivirus software and firewalls on your computer temporarily and check if you can access.

Note: Please make sure that you enable the antivirus software and firewalls after the test to keep your computer protected.

You may need to configure AVG firewall to allow the computer access to the Play Station 3 on your computer.

    1. make sure all firewall software, has the necessary changes to allow Windows Media Player to communicate on a UuNP.

    2. If you are using Windows Firewall and turn on sharing for WMP, WMP will make the necessary changes to the Windows Firewall.

    3. If you use a different 3rd party firewall, as I do, McAfee, you probably need to get this software and add stuff heroes, such as programs that can communicate on the network, or confidence of intellectual property, etc. (continues after the video).

  • receive UPnP streams in WMP 11 - Twonky Media Server

Unlike most people, I try to use WMP 11 as customerDLNA.

Currently I have a NAS running Twonky 4.4.11 and try to see the media on WMP 11 in Windows Vista Ultimate x 64.

WMP11 at the start, it only sees the media server about 50% of the time, and when he see it, he encounters an error about 5 seconds later and stops.  Within 5 seconds, I can see the covers and summaries from coming television series, but of course, everything stops, dead with the error is encountered.

I know that Twonky is not to blame because I am able to access the same media via my PS3 with no problems.  Also, I put in square Twonky so that he knows that my client is Windows Media Player (there is no option to set the version).

In the windows application log, I get the following error:

Failed application wmplayer.exe, version 11.0.6001.7110, time stamp 0x49360d30, failed module wmp.dll, version 11.0.6001.7110, time stamp 0 x 49362665, exception 0xc0000005, offset error 0x000000000043bbac, process 0x1f3c id code, start the application time 0x01c9b37f38c589f9.

I guess it's maybe a driver issue, but I'm not really sure now a search is farther away.

    Any suggestions?

    THX,

    -Sheldon

PS. I note that WMP lists my NAS as "PVConnection... Server %nom%", do not know if this is another way of showing that it's a UPnP connection.

    Hello HeartOfGold,

Thank you for posting.  I have additional information.  Maybe we could try using the 32-bit version of Windows Media Player to try to resolve some possible compatibility issues.  You can access the media player from 32-bit to

by clicking on start/Orb and computer selection.
Open the disc space (c), and then open the files of x 86 programs.
Once there, you can see the file on Windows Media Player.
Wmplayer.exe is the 32-bit version of media player.
You do a right click and pin to start menu for easy access later.

I found that using the version 32-bit solves a lot of my codec and compatibility problems, because most of the codecs do not support the really 64-bit right now.

64-bit Vista includes 64 and 32-bit Media Player and Internet Explorer only for cases like this.

    Hope this helps you. Zack

  • WRT610N and twonky media server PROBLEM

Hi, I finally had some time to install my network wireless at home, everything works well except the media server, im trying to connect an xbox 360 and ps3, they see in the media server and I can access the problem is that the only file that they see is "trial expired, please visit http://twonkyvision.com.

I already tried to go and found a topic on it (link ) and it helped me to access the media server settings, I tried the solution posted, but it didn't work; I looked in the options and found that over my registration key number is bright red the following words: "this key is already used by another instance of the server." and here it is a counter with 0 days for the trial.

Anyone know how I could solve this problem or what it exactly means and how to solve this problem, my router is new, but it has been sitting on my desk almost three months because I don't have the time to install it.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

OK, I have a major update and a possible solution, I was buggin the twonky people until they gave a new key number who worked and solved my problem, on the other hand, they have told me that, with the next firmware, updated the router doesn't ask for the key more could operate freely, so you can either go to the twonky´s customer service or wait for the next update. good luck to all

  • TCS Media Server UNC Path Question

    Hello

I have a problem that I hope someone on the forum can help me with. I have classes being captured by the TCS. I want to be able to moved the video captured on another system for delivery. I have a setup of server configuration of media that moves the file using FTP, and it works without a problem. But I prefer to use a UNC path for this rather an FTP server. I have a place in the media server configuration to specify the UNC path, but I don't have a place to specify the account to use to put the video on the UNC path. In other words, I don't know what matters to give permission on the UNC path to be able to write the data to the path. Does anyone know how this UNC path is supposed to be used in the TCS interface?

    Thank you.

    Hello Tracy,.

I guess you hesitate to grant write permission to "everyone" on the shared folder so that you might try is to grant NTFS permission to the computer object type (tcs in your case), is to allow access to services run by the system account, users try to access the resources within this computer will be refused.

  • Publishing point does not start in windows media server

In the VCS installation Highway starter pack is used as a controller of calls & endpoints are registered to it.  TCS is used for recording.  An existing publishing point is used for live streaming using the windows media server.  This publishing point is not launched at the start of registration for this alias record.  Windows Media Server is running locally in the CHT.  I could see below into the server logs.  Please note that this configuration has worked with this setup for over a year and it stopped working now.  Your help on this appreciated.  Thank you.

Yes, the next step that I was going to tell you to do, is to disable authentication on the WMS server.

Take a look at the following for TCS and WMS configuration guide.  She referred to using an external WMS server, but it can apply to the internal WMS on the TCS itself as well.

    Hi all

I have a Toshiba 46TL868 LED TV, connected to my PC via Ethernet cable.
Using the features of TV DLNA I'm able to browse the content of my PC but there is a problem:
If I nested folders, I can select t properly files because the selection is moved by positions as the number of listed files.

Example: I m a folder that contains subfolders 3 and 10 files of navigation.
The first icon in the list is the icon of the back then I FOLDER1, FOLDER2, FOLDER3, then FILE1, FILE2... DEPOSER10

If I select file1 and press OK to read it, the TV starts playing FILE4 (because I have 3 folders selection real past by 3).

In the same way, if I select FILE4 and press OK to play the TV starts playing FILE7 and so on.
There is no problem if I don't have subfolders.

I tried the servers of different media (Plex, Serviio, Windows Media Server, TVmobili...), but the behavior is the same.

I tried the SW TV update, but it s already up-to-date.

    Hello

First I would recommend you to check the records of media supported player.
This is mentioned in the manual on page 67/68
    http://www.Toshiba-OM.NET/LCD/PDF/English/TL838-324046-English.PDF

There, you will find all the details on the format of media supported, video codec and audio codec USB and DMS (digital media server is a device that can function as server for a player) reading.

The basic operation is also described in the 40-43 user manual page.

  • Cannot get rid of the Logitech Media Server app

Hi, I installed Logitech Media Server on my rn104, but I don't need. I tried to remove it from the web INTERFACE, but it is still visible to the computers on my network and always accessible on port 9000. When I reboot the NAS, he reappears in pre-installed applications. Any ideas how I can kill this annoying thing?

    I sent you a PM.

  • Upgrade Media Server Logitech

My ReadyNAS 516 runs 6.4.1 - T21 (beta version). The Logitech Media Server App that I do turn has version 1.06 and is maintained by chick I think. The interface Logitech Media Server tells me that there is an update.

And that's probably true. 7.7.3-based version 1.06 chick version of Logitech. I can download the 7.7.5 version for Debian, but I don't think it's a wise thing to do. Not sure if it will install anyway.

What is the way to go on this? Just wait for chick?

This package is maintained at all?

In a similar case, I wanted to update the Plex server software that I could just download the site of Plex.

Logitech has stopped support for the 'new' line of ReadyNASses and which is the reason that chick was for renovation/rebuild the software?

Okay, found _some_ answers to my own questions on here.

I installed packages from the command line using 'dpkg-i'.

First, I ran into a problem with leafp2p package, but the addition of article initV of the start-stop as mentioned here does the trick for this.

When you try to install lms_1.0.8_all.deb I received warnings that /lib/ld-linux.so.2 was about to be crushed (!)

Somehow chick put this file in the LMS package, although it is also in the libc6-i386 package. Maybe I don't have knowledge, but put me these types of files in your own package is not very wise.

    I did this:

    root@truck/root # he's /lib/ld-linux.so.2
    lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 20 Feb 6 2015 /lib/ld-linux.so.2--> /lib32/ld-linux.so.2*
    root@truck/root # he's /lib32/ld-linux.so.2
    lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 10 Feb 6 /lib32/ld-linux.so.2 2015-> ld - 2.19.so *.
    root@truck/root # he's /lib32/ld-2.19.so
    -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 134308 Feb 6 /lib32/ld-2.19.so* 2015

and /lib32/ld-2.19.so copied to a safe place, just in case where symbolic links were followed by dpkg. (I'm not too familiar with Debian)

Installed lms_1.0.8_all.deb with 'dpkg--force - overwrite - i' and restore the original situation afterwards (symbolic links were not followed)

    root@truck/root # cd/lib
    root@truck/lib # mv ld - linux.so.2 ld - linux_lms_1.0.8.so.2
    root@truck/lib # ln s /lib32/ld-linux.so.2 ld - linux.so.2
    root@truck/lib #.

The Logitech Media Server was showing again after these actions. Telling me the version was 1.0.8 on the ReadyNAS interface. Telling me it is 7.8.1 on the Logitech Media Server interface on port 9000.
