Cisco 4400 WLC - access web GUI remotely

I know how to access the graphical interface from the service port. However, I am not able to access the site of Port 0. IPs have all been set correctly. We have a management VLAN in our company. I have configured the management interface of WLC for an ip address from that subnet. Port 0 is connected to a switch of 3560 G. I put the switch port to a port of access to the management of VLANs and I tried to make the switch as a trunk port, with the vlan native on the vlan management. I'm not able to ping, or access the web GUI remotely through the management VLAN. Is it normal?

Jeff

Hi Jeff,

Please try to set 0 as vlan on interface of management on WLC after configuration of vlan native on the switch. If you have not yet tried.

order - management configuration interface vlan 0

Note - You must children all wlan r mapped with management interface before any change in CLI.

hope this will solve your prob.

Thank you

    Hello

I couldn't quite follow the description of your problem. Can clarify you the problem more in detail.

You then mention access to the ACS GUI mode it to disconnect regularly. You lose any IP to GBA connectivity, or is the problem only through the user interface?

Please can you include ACS cli:

view the status of the acs application

  • Cisco SX20 - cannot access web interface after factory reset

    Hi guys,.

I just did a factory reset on my SX20,

and now I can't access the web interface, I need to add the key to release

Basically I can't configure the IP addresses directly through the Executive Director of unity

I need to add the release key and access to any interface
    Help, please!

    SX20 Cisco TC6.3.0

You can access the settings locally using the remote?

If so, you should be able the enable http as well as the fixed IP address using the remote control.

The factory reset should have change setting IP DHCP, so if it has a network connection, this IP address must be included in the top of the page, to the left of the screen.

  • Cannot access the ISE-3395-K9 CISCO Web GUI

    Hello

I can't access the ISE-3395-K9 web gui interface concert 0 with ip address is 192.168.1.10.  I put the ip address of my labtop to 192.168.1.20 and could ping back but am still not able to access them through a direct connection between my labtop to concert interface 0 using one of the supported web browsers.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It is possible that the GUI was configured to restrict access to only certain IPs / subnets. If 192.168.1.x isn't one of them, then you will have access.

Are you able to connect to the shell via SSH? If so, you should check and confirm that all associated ISE services run by running the following command:

    show the application status ise

I'm not sure what I did wrong, the 2504 itself has only 4 ports and no port management but I heard it's actually port 1 (even if there are no labels for this). That's what I've done so far to try to access the GUI:

    in CLI mode, I have

    (1) put AP managament address like 10.151.55.129 255.255.255.224.

    (2) I have activated the adminmode on port 1, which I assume is management port and enabling admin mode is the same as "no shut" on switches I guess; Here is the command I entered:

(Cisco Controller) config > adminmode port 1 turn on

    (3) enabled HTTPS/HTTP through commands:

(Cisco Controller) config > activate network secureweb

    Any help would be appreciated

If your connection to your laptop direct to port 1, then you have untagged the management vlan. Now you have configured for vlan 10, you must set to vlan 0.

You will then be able to ping to the management interface and connect to it through the user interface.

  • Reset the Web GUI on the M600 iDRAC

    Hello

I have problems of access to the iDRAC web gui on a couple of blades M600 (needed to get the console and re - install the operating system).

I read on Google that racadm racreset running can solve the problem, but this seems to be only available on of m610?

When I ssh into the M600 blade I gives me a prompt SMASH CLP Console (v1.08) and can not find everything related to actually reset the interface itself idrac.

Is it still possible on a M600?  Otherwise, how can we reset the iDRAC interface?  It does not fundamentally on port 80 - unlike our other blades, also M600s.

Thank you very much in advance for any pointers or direction.

    Thank you

    SoC

    Rob,

An option to rest iDRAC on M600 is with the CMC. You can connect to the CMC and perform iDRAC reset page "Overview-> troubleshooting-> Reset chassis components. Select iDRAC reset for the corresponding housing option. You can also do CMC Racadm. Run "racadm racreset m - Server -" of SSH or using remote racadm and CMC IP.

What iDRAC firmware you have on M600? 1.65 is the last FW for iDRAC M600. If you do not have this FW on iDRAC can you update and check the same. You can download the same from

  • MAC W2K8R2 NPS (RADIUS) authentication & Cisco 4400

I have a cisco 4400 wlan put in place for that mac filtering via the RADIUS using MS NPS.

I created a user account AD with address as user name and password. On NPS, I created a political network and connection with the latter policy displayed.

On the client (Win7Pro), I connect the SSID and he made the connection as expected and the entry is recorded in the log of RADIUS.

The problem is that when I stopped the machine or disconnect manually the ssid I can't reconnect to it when the machine comes back upward or when I reconnected it the SSID. Politics is not run, and no RADIUS entry is recorded on the reconnection. What is more, if I disable the network policy so that further communication is not possible, is still it regardless of the political status. The ONLY way to restart the whole process in the right way, i.e. connection via policy, RADIUS logging, etc. is to disable and re-enable the wlan on the controller. After it is completed the machine is properly refused access when the network POLICY server policy is disabled.

In short, once the machine is allowed to connect is seems to stay connected, regardless of the political status until the connection with the wireless network is turned off. My guess is that the computer is somehow caching credentials. However, I hope that it is something that I can change on the controller, because connection to this key wlan devices are approved through dhcp (mac) Reservations; they can be any type of machine with a mac address.

    Any help appreciated.

    Thank you

    Hello

a WLC will not authenticate a client if disconnect you all of a sudden (customer = na not say WLC was disconnect) and if only a short time spent.

By default, this means that the client should be not seen for 5 minutes for the customer entry should be deleted on the controller. It's the "user idle timeout" about WLC and can be configured to be shorter.

To make sure if this is your problem, disconnect your client and check on "monitor-> clients" If you still see the mac client it.

If you do not, then the WLC should request authentication once again and the problem would then be the side microsoft.

    I hope this helps.

  • The proSafe (JGS524E + GS116E) Switches: Configuration Management Web GUI in VLAN specific

    Hello

I use a JGS524E and a GS116E. The two are connected via a 802. 1 q uplink with all defined VLANS in him.

A 802. 1 q other interfaces goes to a pfsense firewall, which serves as a router and dhcp server for each VLAN that I use.

How can I configure the switches plug are in one VLAN specific and get his IP address of the dhcp server in this VLAN?

At present, it seems to be random access: it is not predictable that range from intellectual property, it takes its IP configuration via dhcp...

    How management function works internally?

    Thank you

    Markus

    Hello

Thank you. I tried it out, but the behavior seems to be a little different:

I configured a static IP address for the switch (10.1.0.13 / 24). I have access to the switch web gui via the ip address of the host of a host directly connected (connected via a trunk port, where I put 1 VLAN on the trunk), but it is all the same, what VLAN that I use:

When it is connected to the VLAN 1 I have access, but also through 10 VLANS, VLAN 20 and so forth (assumed, I configure my computer appropriate staticly in the IP network, for example 10.1.0.20 / 24). So it seems not be limited only to the VLAN 1. You have access to each vlan, only the IP configuration must be in the same network.

I'm not sure, how it behaves when cascading the two switches, I have not tried.

If this information can be useful for other users with the same question about this switching product line.

For me, this behavior is not very well implemented from my point of view. For security reasons, you must limit access to the administration, for example by allowing access from a specific hardware port or a vlan. With the effective implementation, centralized management for a cascade topology is not easy to set up, perhaps because the behavior is not very clear and not documented in the manuals.

Mentioned on the edge: there is no available TLS/SSL encryption when accessing the web gui (not https). So the password is transmitted in clear text... not a very good idea, I think.

Thanks a lot for your help.

    Best regards

  • PowerConnect 2824: Can't access web management using VLAN TAG 1?

Let's say I have port 20, which is a member with LABEL of VLAN 1, 10 and 20.

If I try to access web management to help interface VLAN 1 TAG, it is not accessible.  However, if I remove the tag VLAN (and the default PVID value of 1), then it works fine.

    Is this a known limit?

In addition, change the management VLAN on my 2824?  (what I read, it is not possible)

You're right about the two statements.  The Web GUI is accessible only through the untagged VLAN 1 and it is not possible to change the management VLAN on the 2800 Series switches.  On the other upper level switches, you can use the ip address command vlan xx to move the management VLAN in the VLAN specified in the statement.

    I hope this helps.

    Hello

    answer your questions:

1, but I could see a single file over in the cisco site, which is AIR-WLC4400-K9-4-2-205-0-ER.aes (file 4 MB approx.). I put in the root directory of the TFTP?

is it necessary to copy the mentioned so 4 MB file?

the 4 MB file (which has ER), is the file of the boot loader.

It is not necessary to apply it, but it is recommended that you also upgrade to this boot loader after the WLC image upgrade. (as mentioned in the release notes)

    http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/partner/docs/wireless/controller/release/notes/crn42205D3MR4.html

.Aes ER files are independent of controller software files. You can run any controller software file with any file from ER.aes. However, to install the latest software startup file (4.2.205.0 ER.aes) ensures that changes made to the boot software in all files of the boot software ER.aes past and present are installed.

-Do not install the 4.2.205.0 software controller file and the startup file software at the same time ER.aes 4.2.205.0. Install a single file and restart the controller; install the other file, and then restart the controller.

2 as show images of starting backup as a 4.0.206.0, what will happen to this file, if I'm upgrading to 4.2.205

Is what is in the wlc as a backup image?

Yes, he'll stay there as backup image.if you want to change it, you must interrupt the boot on console (ESC) process, start the secondary image and do the upgrade again to the secondary image.

    3. are there additional things are needed during the upgrade from 4.2.176 to 4.2.205?

no extra steps, don't just make sure you use good TFTP as (TFTPD32)

Here are the release notes for 4.2.205 for your information...

  • Cannot access the Console remotely

Hey guys, I'm new to VM Ware and has difficulties to access the console remotely, even if I can access the Web Access page very well...

    The error I get is:

Unable to connect to the MKS: unable to connect to the host domain.com: no connection could be made because the target machine actively refused

When you search for an answer to this, I found a post that said to ensure that the /etc/pam.d/vmware-authd has been configured correctly, as well as the/etc/vmware/config...

None of these files/folders are there.

That said, my host OS is (unfortunately) of Windows Vista, with VM Ware running on top of that, and now I am trying to get Fedora Core 11 to present itself as the virtual machine.

Any ideas you can give would be much appreciated.

Sorry, I did not myself clear - its port 902 on the host that you need to check that you can telnet to because the VMware console connections are made using the host (so that they can still operate even when there is no network in the comments, for example at installation time), not to the guest directly (for client firewalls are not the parameters used either for the console). I guess that 8333 is fine, otherwise you wouldn't be able to connect remotely to the web console.
