Citrix

My client connects to our program on a site hosted by Citrix.  The HP Laserjet P2035n printer does not print.  I can see the job of getting to the printer and outside Quebec, but nothing prints on the printer.

After that a lot of time spent with the Citrix support team, they conclude that there's a new driver.  Here is their response:

From your question, I would recommend reaching out to HP to find a compatible driver that will work in Citrix. Based on our documentation this printer was supported last on XA 5 32-bit.
http://www.Citrix.com/ready/en/Hewlett-Packard/HP-LaserJet-P2035n-printer

The question is - is there a driver uptodate more for the new version of citrix?

Thank you

John

Hi John,.

The HP Laserjet P2035 is not supported on Citrix, as you can find below:

http://h20195.www2.HP.com/v2/GetPDF.aspx/4AA0-8465ENW.PDF

You can try the driver for the UPD PCL5 and check if this can give you no results:

  • after upgrade to macOS sierra cannot connect to citrix receiver apps

I use Citrix receiver apps to make my day to day work. The same citrix apps are also accessible via a web browser (Safari) and everything worked fine until the version IE Capitan.

After upgrade to macOS sierra I can't you connect/launch of citrix apps. I tried with receiver and citrix via web browser as well, but its not connecting.

Is anyone else facing the same issue or know the fix.

Earlier, I thought that maybe some problem of connectivity, but after a lot of troubleshooting it still did not work and shows the same error "failed to initialize." (attached image).

Then clicked on suddenly to mind that I just upgraded my MacBook OS. In order to confirm if his new problem of macOS or anything else, I have installed Windows 10 on vmware fusion and tried to connect to citrix receiver and it worked only! without any operation of additional troubleshooting, it is confirmed that the issue is again macOS.

So as a temporary workaround, you can use virtual windows OS on top of the operating system Mac OS page sierra to launch citrix applications.

But apple needs to fix in the Sierra.

This seems to be, in part, a browser problem.

Have you tried, since El Capitan or Sierra, another browser?

And it would move from Citrix to make their applications compatible with OSX.

  • Citrix receiver does not work on ver 30.0.

Three suggestions based on the experience of other users with Firefox 30 Citrix:

    (1) change the permissions of the plugin.

Firefox 30 past most of the plugins "Always turned on" - allowing any site to use - to "ask to activate" - requiring sites to get your permission to use them. For some plugins, this setting is not working properly and you need to restore.

To do this, open the page modules using either:

    • CTRL + SHIFT + a
    • "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Add-ons

In the left column, click on Plugins. Search for Citrix and change to ' activate ' "always enable". Then try Citrix again in a new window (or exit and restart Firefox).

See: updated for Firefox 30.0 now Citrix Receiver does not open.

    (2) If you have an older version of the plugin, you may need to be updated.

See: Firefox 30 will not organize the Application of ICA when you use Citrix receiver 4

    (3) check that Citrix content using the desired plugin/application.

  • Updated for Firefox 30.0 now Citrix Receiver does not open

I am to discover that anyone who has updated recent firefox 30.0 is not able to open the Citrix Receiver. Opens the window of the application, she will not open the citrix receiver to open FM. I have several people that has updated and can not open FM. Me too, has just updated today to 30.0 and now does not open FM earlier in the morning, I was able to open and use Firefox 29,0/FM.

I disabled all plugins... He's going to open a pop window to 'Open with' Citrix Receiver (default). And yes - it will open our applications now.
    So now...
Firefox or citrix must adapt. Please fix so that I don't have to disable plugins app of 200 users. Thank you

  • Citrix server extension installed for all users needing

Summer banging my head on this for a few days in the hope of help.

My main goal is to lockdown FF24.0ESR running on a server, Citrix 5.0 x 32.

I have the mozlla.cfg installation and work, but it does not change user interface settings (menu helps to remove, remove google toolbar... etc)

I found a kiosk extension that works great for this.
However just to test to see if I can get a job extension I use colorfultabs 28.
If I can get this working, then use this process for the extension of the kiosk.

I am unable to get the extension already installed for an existing user. Or new users or the other.

I can put the extension in HKLM\SOFTWARE\Mozilla\Firefox\Extensions, and it prompts the user to install the extension.

I want the already installed extension so that the user only has not to they are permissions for (nor) install the plugins. We use roaming profiles.

I read several articles and moved the extension in the program folder, without the extension to users\default and users\public, always with success. Tried the default key to HKUsers as well.

    Any ideas or pointers appreciated.

Try the following preferences of locking.

    lockPref("extensions.autoDisableScopes", 0);
    lockPref("extensions.shownSelectionUI", true);

moved the extension into the program folder,, move the extension to users\default and users\public

Do not use several methods for the same extension. If you want to install an extension under the installation folder,

    1. It should be placed under < installation folder > \browser\extensions
    2. Its file name must be the ID of the extension. Unpack the extension (it's a simple ZIP file with the XPI file extension) and examine install.rdf file , you can open it with a text editor. Find the line em: id . For example, the French language pack was originally named fr.xpi but it must be renamed to [email protected]
  • How to get an extension of the dictionary for all users in a Citrix environment?

    Hi all

Under title, I'm looking for a way to get out a dictionary of Firefox (specifically the English (British) of https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/language-tools/) to all users in a Citrix environment. Comprehensive silent installation is absolutely best. Because following a recent installation of Firefox users report that this spell check is not working, what appears as a result there is no dictionary to check the spelling on the facility.

It's in a corporate environment, running 6.5 XenApp hosted workstations to multi-server Windows 2008 R2 Enterprise x 64, the installed Firefox info below as collected by the add-on troubleshooting pulled from the browser in the test environment with the same characteristics.

So far, I have tried what follows from this link: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Installing_extensions

"A whole installation will install an extension in the directory of the application rather than in a profile so it will be available to all users. To perform a whole installation, you must not activate as within your Mozilla application installation file. Instead, download and save this record and make sure you close the application completely.

Then follow one of the following options:

Copy the .xpi file into the <installation directory>\extensions folder. When you start your Mozilla application again, it displays an installation dialog, asking "The following items were found in your Extensions folder. Do you want to install them?" "

Although it seems that the < installation directory > \extensions folder no longer exists at the given location. Find a path of the < installation directory > \browser\extensions but seems it does not behave as said here that I have not received all of the guests. I hope that this method is still applicable in some way and I am just not aware of how this is currently supposed to be handled, but not sure if it is a dictionary rather than a typical add-on will have no effect on the installation overall how can be reached.

Have also tried to http://forums.anandtech.com/showthread.php?t=2268437 , which seems a pretty basic option, but this would have not only to a lot of work to do on a per user basis, but there are also restrictions in place to prevent access to the records of users AppData.

Finally I was looking https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/740545 to push this point across: the les parametres parameters configuration, then use the method above to enforce this on the user end, but did not find anything me.

Any help/advice/shots of elbow in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

It might be easier to extract the files of two dictionary (.dic and .aff) of archive XPI (ZIP) and place the two files in the folder of Firefox profile for the dictionaries available for all users.

  • No one knows what Citrix and doesn't load it on my Mac after the last update?

Hello: I downloaded the OS X El Capitan (10.11.5) update and when I restarted my Mac Pro, I see a program called Citrix.  Can someone e tell me what Citrix and how does it work?

Citrix manufactures of network connectivity. It's probably a corporate VPN software. There is no part of Mac OS X and does not come from the update.

  • Is there a known issue with Firefox 21 and Citrix ICA Client?

After the upgrade to FireFox 21 my browser can no longer detect that I installed the Citrix ICA Client and he pushes me whenever I try to run a file from the internet .ica. After several facilities of the ICA Client to the guests, including the uninstall completely and then put it back, I ignored the prompt and tried to launch the .ica file. It will launch 1 single .ica window regardless of the number of .ica files I click on. (Firefox 20 would allow me to run several sessions citrix both.) Also, when the 1 citrix session is open, if I minimize it or make another program to the foreground the .ica window becomes black and is no longer usable because you can't see anything in this window.
    Is this a known issue?
Currently, I had to uninstall version 21 and found a version 20.0.1 Ive installed to disable automatic updates.

Hello Souldysfunction, please try this: enter Subject: config in the bar firefox address (confirm the message information where it appears) & search for the preference named plugins.load_appdir_plugins. Double-click it and change its value to true (a restart of the browser may be needed later for the change to take effect). some information on the issue are explained in http://www.ghacks.net/2013/05/15/why-you-may-have-lost-access-to-plugins-or-extensions-in-firefox-21/

The defaultPref() function applies if it is not a user setting (it changes only the current default value), but has no effect if the user has already changed the default value.
Pref function is always issued if you start a new session, but the user can replace for this single session and changes are lost.
Prefs that are locked through lockPref() can not be changed at all.

  • I try to use my school online applications using citrix. I have the plugin installed on my machine, but it does not open firefox 4 beta 11. He will be in the future support?

I have the plugin from citrix installed on my machine and it runs and starts well in firefox 3.16. Can I find support for it now or should I wait the final Firefox 4?

Compatibility with Firefox 4.0 is the responsibility of Citrix. You can check their website for a plugin for Firefox 4.0beta update versions. There again, perhaps they expect the actual release of the Firefox 4.0 before they update their plugin. many programs do not support versions beta from other programs.

Before posting my thread, I did a search and found your up to what later for some reason any.  I think we treat both the same crazy problem and I was wondering if you have found something to use with your Mac of a PIV card system?

I was told there is ZERO chance of a PIV on any Mac card, but it is impossible (can?) lol.

  • ThinPro 4.3 - Citrix Receiver 13 - use HPDM to install certificates?

    Hello

I have an existing environment of about 1200 of the T610.  and we are migrating to a new citrix farm.  on customers now receiving light is 12.  I'm moving to Citrix receiver 13 and install new certificates.

Is it possible to install certificates using HPDM?  I tried options command line with "high-cert-mgr", but for some stupid reason, he began as a script of hpdm because he needs an x environment.

I tried to copy them down to the thin client, putting the new cert in the directory/usr/lib/ICAClient/keystore/cacerts and run c_rehash on the directory, but I always get the certificate error.

What I am doing wrong, everybody has it works?

Thank you in advance for your help!

    Best regards, Fred

    I thought about it.

Am I missing something basic?  is there an easier way to do this?

You must copy the certificate to PEM format in 3 locations (with the extension .crt)

    / Writable/usr/lib/icaclient/keystore/cacerts / *. CRT

    Writable/home/user/.freerdp/certs/*. CRT

    / Writable/usr/local/share/ca-certificates / *. CRT

Then, you create a link in/writable/etc/ssl/certs (with the .pem extension) of the cert file located in

    / Writable/usr/local/share/ca-certificates

    Then, you need to run

    / writable/etc/ssl/certs c_rehash

    in a work order.

    complicated to say the least.

Am I missing something basic?  is there an easier way to do this?

    Thank you
