  • Problem with Apex 5.0 report with a query that runs in SQL Developer

    Hello

    I have a query that runs in SQL Developer without problem, but when I use it in a classic report, it displays following:

    error report:

    ORA-06502: PL/SQL: digital or value error: character of number conversion error

    The query is:

    select
     T1.ID_ATTACHMENT,
     T1.BLOB_CONTENT,
     T2.ATTACH_CATEGORY,
     T1.FILENAME,
     T1.ATTACHMENT_DESCRIPTION
    from ATTACHMENTS T1
     LEFT JOIN REF_ATTACH_CATEGORIES T2
      ON T1.ATTACHMENT_CATEGORY = T2.ID_ATTACH_CATEGORY
     WHERE T1.ID_ATTACHMENT IN
      (SELECT ID_ATTACHMENT FROM REL_ATTACHMENTS
       WHERE REL_PART_ID = 1
       AND REL_ID = 64146);

    And the output of SQL Developer is:

    2015-08-12_01-03-36.png

    I have following Setup for the BLOB_CONTENT column in the classic report:

    2015-08-12_01-06-25.png

    Any ideas what is causing this problem?

    Thanks in advance,

    Sergio

    I don't have notes with me, but I think that the content of the blob must be selected as:

    DBMS_LOB. GetLength (blob_content) as blob_content

    and check that you have included the primary key in the results.

  • Classic report with column LOV

    I have simple classic report (Apex 4.2.4) with two columns. One is to main table and shows the ID; another column is LOV that contains detail table names, which must FK main table.

    Table structure:

    master_table (id NUMBER);

    detail_table (detail_name VARCHAR2 (50), master_id NUMBER);

    Source report looks like:

    Select

    ID,

    lov_column null

    of master_table;

    lov_column is defined as a query in function LOV and query looks like:

    Select detail_name from detail_table

    where master_id = #ID #.

    But the application does not recognize the values #ID #? Can I use it without the WHERE statement, but in this case in LOV, I got all the records, and that I want in a folder have values only for this ID.

    What can I do?

    Thanks in advance.

    Kiran I thank you for your care, I finally found the solution.

    Apex.Oracle.com cloud works with Apex5, it is not possible to obtain a classical column LOV relation, but it is possible to do this by using APEX_ITEM. SELECT_LIST_FROM_QUERY. And so I did in my application.

    in the statement I wrote:

    Select

    Mt.ID,

    apex_item.select_list_from_query (1, null, "select dt.detail_code d, dt.detail_code r detail_table dt where dt.master_id = ' |") Mt.ID) retail

    of master_table TM;

    And it works!

    It's all totally obsolete with respect to the 5.0 APEX where interactive reports have been completely redesigned and rebuilt.

    To complete the full version number of APEX, always indicate what theme and browser (s) / version (s) you use when asking questions of shape/layout visual layout.

    To go from rank (Zebra) when you use the universal theme distribution in interactive reports, see Re: interactive report - no line scratched?

    It's the common "variable list" model [anti-]. In

    select * from table where columnvalue in (7788, 7839, 7876)

    (7788, 7839, 7876)is a list of expressions and the predicate is evaluated as a membership condition.

    In

    select * from table where columnvalue in :P1_X

    :P1_Xis a scalar string, unable to contain multiple values.

    In a report of type APEX, a source report of the body of the PL/SQL function returning a SQL query with lexical substitution can be used to produce a "variable list:

    return 'select * from table where columnvalue in (' || :P1_X || ')';

    where P1_X contains less than 1000 values, has been disinfected to code SQL injectionand string values are properly cited.

    Some people suggest the following approach, that will work also in interactive APEX reports:

    select * from table where instr(':' || :P1_X || ':', ':' || columnvalue || ':') > 0

    However, it is underperforming because it eliminates the possibility of using the index optimizer or the size of the partition in the execution plan.

    See various elements in the list to ask Tom and imitating the channel to the table using sql features for effective solutions.

  • In my custom report template link doesn't work - Apex 3.1

    This would redirect to page 6, when the user clicks anywhere on a line, but it does not work.
    I have this error message:

    Hi fac586:

    (1) my request report is:

    SELECT '''f?p=&APP_ID.:6:&APP_SESSION.:::6:P6_NAS:'||MEM_NAS||'''' LINK
    ,MEM_NOM NAME
    ,MEM_DATE_NAIS||decode(MEM_DATE_NAIS, NULL, NULL,' >') BIRTH_DATE
    FROM ACMT_MEMBRE

    I wouldn't try to include the quotes here: put them in the template (below):

    SELECT 'f?p=&APP_ID.:6:&APP_SESSION.:::6:P6_NAS:' || MEM_NAS LINK
    ,MEM_NOM NAME
    ,MEM_DATE_NAIS||decode(MEM_DATE_NAIS, NULL, NULL,' >') BIRTH_DATE
    FROM ACMT_MEMBRE

    (2) here are all the HTM in the sections of the report model:
    Models of the line: line model 1

    <tr onclick="redirect("#LINK#");">
    #NAME#
    #BIRTH_DAY#

    You cannot nest quotes of the same type (and note that this is not what you posted previously). Use:

    <tr onclick="redirect('#LINK#');">
      #NAME#
      #BIRTH_DAY#

    (3) the display attributes for the columns of the report are:

    Link: hidden

    As previously stated, in a model of named column, column values are not "hidden" just because the user doesn't see them: if it is referenced in the model column must be shown and "displays" in an appropriate form. In this case, it should be Standard report column. (Displayed as 'Hidden' will be generated a < input type = "hidden"... > element, which is where all of these weird attributes in the output of.)

    Hello

    Can someone help me with this problem pls?

    Dev system is cloned production a few days ago. After you run the clone of post procedure, the dev works very well except when we try to run customized reports he errorred out with the Routine FDPREP - error message cannot read the file fmis/11.5.0/reports/US/POXPRPO1.rep. I checked the files env, and they seem ok. $CUSTOM_TOP is set to the correct value. Other standard Oracle reports properly. Custom report file extension is in the case of low (RDF). I tried to compile the report manually by using rwcon60.sh, the rep file was created under this folder but simultaneous Manager always gives the same error message. So I'm suspecting whther this is the problem of path, from the error message we can see up there, it does not show the absolute path. Can someone pls throw some light on this for me?

    Thank you!

    If everything is as it should be, would it be possible to bounce the instance (all services, listener, and database)? Who can solve the problem, but he will not explain how it happened in the first place. If the bounce does not solve the problem, then FMIS_TOP is not set correctly.

    Hello

    I want to vertically align a column of APEX 5 interactive report data to the top of the cell (currently using the universal theme). By default, if a cell in the column in the file contains several lines (for example via the packaging), the other cells in the same row are centered compared to this in terms of vertical alignment multiline cell. I guess this can be managed with a set column expression shaped HTML, but I was not able to do so far.

    More generally how can it be implemented for all interactive reports / classics in a given application?

    I searched the forum etc. for similar positions, but not found a solution.

    It requires CSS rather than HTML, specifically the vertical-align property on the report table cells. For a single report, add a static region ID in the report area and include this style sheet in CSS Inline property page:

    #static-region-id .a-IRR-table td {
      vertical-align: top;
    }

    Leave aside the #static-region-id selector to apply the rule to each SORTING on a page.

    More generally how can it be implemented for all interactive reports / classics in a given application?

    Creating Styles of theme using the theme roller is the privileged and supported way to customize the appearance of the applications that use the universal theme.

    • Go to a page of IR in your application.
    • Click the Thème Roller on the developer toolbar.
    • Expand the CSS custom section.
    • Add this style custom rule:
    /* Interactive report cells */
    .a-IRR-table td,
    /* Standard report template cells: add selectors as required for other report templates */
    .t-Report-report td.t-Report-cell {
      vertical-align: top;
    }

    • The page will automatically preview changes.
    • Click on record under and type a name for the style of custom theme.
    • Topic close Roller

    The button performs a redirect. This means that the page is not filed and the value of P2_SELECT_DATE is therefore not saved in session state. When the form values should be stored in the database or used in the treatment later, you must enter them in session state using a button that submits the page. Next navigation should be performed using a direction rather than a redirect. The example has been changed to make it.

  • Interactive report with Null columns

    I have a user who wants to export an interactive report, and there need to some columns will appear on export so that he can fill the data later (there is an intermediate step, while we work on getting all the data they need in the database). I created the report query, and there are a handful of columns null or empty (to keep the correct order for export). When I try to add this query to the APEX, in an interactive report, I get an "ORA-00001: unique constraint (APEX_040000.WWV_FLOW_WORKSHEET_COLUMNS_UK2) violated" error.

    Googling autour shows me that this happens because of the columns the same name, and the solution is to provide aliases for all columns. My report has alias on all columns, but I can't yet create an interactive report. I tried to change the columns null of empty strings, as well as encompassing the alias in double - quotes, but nothing works. However, I can use my original query to create a standard report, but due to export, this is not ideal.

    I was able to create the interactive report with a null and then edited the source column of the report to add to the others. This had to be done one at a time, given that you are trying to add several null columns at the same time gives the same error even once. Unfortunately, when I try and you run the page, I get a ' ORA-20001: get_dbms_sql_cursor error ORA-00918: column ambiguously defined "error.

    My original query:
    select customer.customer_name as customer,
           project.name as project_name,
           trunc(project.estimated_end_dt) as due_date,
           project_status.project_status_desc as status,
           null as revenue,

           null as projected_cost,
           null as est_gain_loss,
           project.actual_hours as actual_hours,
           project.estimated_hours as projected_hours,

    Can someone tell me a way to create an interactive report with multiple null columns?

    Hi shimmoril,

    The problem is probably that you have two columns aliased as 'projected_cost' (columns 7 and 11).

    Hope this helps,

    and if you have 10 rows in the table, then 10 items of text will appear on your page.
    Given that we gave the ID (p_idx) as a 1, we can refer these elements of text using G_F01 picture. (If its 2 then G_F02 etc. we can have up to 50 dynamic element on one page)

    G_F01. COUNTY gives us "number of items".
    G_F01 (i) gives us the value of i ^ e ^ text value of the element.

    It may be useful

    Kind regards

  • An interactive customized report make it visible to all users?

    Hello

    Anyone know if it is possible to make a visible interactive customized report to all users of the Apex and if so - how?

    The Apex application, I'm doing this in a an authentication scheme customized with each user having a distinct: variable APP_USER.

    Hello

    You must save the SORT as APEX developer during the execution of your application. Just make your changes IRR and save as default.

    You can also have a look in this post: http://dpeake.blogspot.com/2009/01/preserving-user-saved-interactive.html.
