Classic ASP validate form input file type

I need to know how to check if a value is in the file type field in the classic ASP. The name of the input field and the id is the file, and file type. The form type is multipart/form-data and the name of form1.

I use Upload.asp object by Jacob Gilley to manage my download. If the user submits without selecting a file to download; the site-error. The user should have the option of presenting with or without a file. I need to post to the server.

I'm trying
Len (Uploader.Form ("file"))) > 3

I found a solution, post in case anyone else has the same problem.

  • I can validate classic ASP to in Dreamweaver?

I am now a classic asp site (for example, files of file). Other AEP of the old school, it uses web standards (e.g., html5). I plan to move from Expression Web Dreamweaver CC and I try to get the validation of the codes to work. However, if I select the file | Validate the current Document (W3C), of course, it fails because the asp code has not been handled on the server side. I wonder if I can validate my site published (on a remote server) go in Dreamweaver.

I know that I can go to validator.w3.org and validation of the page, but I would like to make the validation of the IDE (as I can with EW, even if it's the validator is low). I also expect that I might be able to set up a local server, but it's a pain and I prefer much testing my site on the same server it will be released to the public.

    Thank you!

I discovered that if I put in place for the live view, I can select Validate > validate the Live (W3C) Document. I can do it without setting up a local server.

  • tag input with FILE type

I have a form when submitted with errors, displays the same page with all controls populated with the values that were entered, so that the user does ' t having to re - enter data which are correct. But I can't do the same for a tag input of type "File".
How to capture the contents of this field and pass it to the form, so that the user doesn't have to repeat the navigation steps to specify the file to download.

I appreciate if you can give me some information.

    Kind regards
    PG

In a multipart (download files) form, the information in the input FILE is the file object itself, not the textual data. It is lost if an error occurs, and I'm not sure that you can pass around in anyway the management mistakes.

  • Path relative to the parent document is ignored by the server web - classic ASP, the include files.

About 5 years ago I started what was to be my last site ASP/VBScript/Windows. I obtained through the administration of the database with MS Access ADP files, the DW server behaviors and some third-party extensions. GoDaddy recently told us they were retiring the old hosting and database servers and migrate to new Windows with Plesk accounts. The database has now been MSSQL 12 and using a file ADP was released. So, I took a course accelerated in SQL Server Management Studio to migrate the database. If anyone needs help with SSMS let me know, but it's not where my problems are.

I see two troublesome problems on this new hosting server.

    1. pages with an include file, include it where is a level or above of the page does not work. A specific example - there is a page in a folder that contains a Recordset. It refers to the connections in the site root folder, using the "... / connections / ' relative path of the document. I checked this by copying the folder connections at the same level, and by changing the include as a result path.

    2. everything I had was the internal server error, even if I use a web configuration file to display detailed error messages.

    3. in the server behaviors panel, the recordset does not appear as such - it shows as a command and therefore not launch the Recordset Wizard

    4. I removed the connection and scripts and then Redid the connection. He have not successfully tests unless I chose to use the local driver. I've never had to do before.

    5. I always use the remote server as the test server, but DW doesn't seem to see it. This new account has a web root of httpdocs, but which should not be part of the URL test serer. For now, I use a subdomain to access the site.

Questions: Someone has all heard a server ignoring the "... / ' in a path relative to the document, Windows or other? This occurs only with files include ASP - CSS @import links seem to work well.

All of this have to do with the use of a subdomain?

Why don't my recordsets appear in the Panel of SB? (Too bad the WebAssist Extensions - they used to work, but are totally broken now.) (I don't use anyway - CC compatible versions, but they tend to work most of the time)

Last question - is it possible to get an earlier version of the CC DW? I'm sure that my problems are both because of the current version as well as the new server platform and configuration.

Log-in to Creative Cloud Desktop app and select filters & releases > previous Version.

You should see CS6 in the drop-down list.  See screenshot.

  • various input file formats to diadem

    Hello

Am new to this area of DIAdem. I read that DIAdem takes input .dat, .mme, .xls and .iso.

Can someone make me understand that, so that these different input files are used and how they differ from each other? What type of file is more efficient to use?

    Hi Rash.patel,

They CAME to files, so if you have this file type on your hard drive, you can load it into DIAdem.  If you have a choice of file formats, NOR recommend TDM/TDX or PDM.  List you provided, the former DIAdem *.dat file format is preferable, because it's the only one in the list of stores as a block of data in binary files, which makes it much faster to read and write.

What type of data files you load into DIAdem to analyze and report?

  • I set firefox to open a file type (.) SGF) w / a program, but it doesn't, so I put it to save/apply and no work option, it always opens file link in a new tab.

I went into Options and set the. SGF with Smartgo open file. He refuses to do. Clicking on a link to one. SGF file simply open the file as a text in a new tab.

Given that it did not work, I tried to get firefox to download instead, because then I can open it using the window file type associations. It will not download the file, unless I actually do a right-click and save-as in the link.

It is tedious when displaying a lot of these files. I even put it to wonder after seeing the download option did not work. He don't ask me. What happens here?

    Also, I use firefox 23

EDIT: It seems to be the specific Web site. Some sites will allow me the option to open it in Smartgo, others just it open in a tab in the form of text. What is causing this gap and can it be overcome thanks to the browser settings?

A sample Web site to highlight the issue is:
    http://igokisen.Web.FC2.com/WR/LG.html
clicking on one of these links will not download, open, or ask questions about what you want to do with the file.

What happens if the server sends the file as text/plain.
You can see if you open "tools > Page Info > general": Content-Type: text/plain

Sent files that this way is always open in a tab.

  • I need to change a file type of processing to PDF, doc, html txtor. the site that I am trying to download a file he needs in one of these formats

I need to change a file type of processing to doc, pdf, txt or html. the site that I am trying to download a file needs in one of these formats. THX

A complete answer would require that we know what "word processing" you use.  However, one of the types of files that are acceptable as 'pdf', you can install 3rd party freeware "CutePDF Writer" on your computer:

    CutePDF: <> http://www.cutepdf.com/products/cutepdf/writer.asp >

Note that you need to install CutePDF and Ghostscript (both on the site) on your machine.  After you do, you will find that you have another printer on your computer named "CutePDF Writer".  Print the file of word processing for this virtual printer.  When you do so, it ask for a place to store your PDF file.  Give it a name and location, and it will create a PDF file for you.   Excellent Freeware (among my top 10) and works with any application you can print from.  Especially good for saving recipes online so that you don't waste any ink/paper.

  • Customize the Standard FND_ATTACH_UPLOAD_PAGE accessories page to restrict attachments by file type

    Hi all

I have a requirement in iExpenses, where I need to restrict the types of files that can be attached to an expense report.

For example, the types of allowed files are .txt, .jpg and .pdf - other formats like .doc and .xls and any other type of file should not be granted.

In iExpenses, the user navigates to the page of standard bindings to add attachments

    / Oracle/Apps/FND/Framework/Attachments/WebUI/FND_ATTACH_UPLOAD_PAGE - version 120,9

Since the various forums, I came to know that's not possible/advisable to customize this page.

I would like to know if I can extend the controller in this page, manage apply / add another button events, check for file type and throw eror if its not supported.

    Pointers/code snippets are greatly appreciated!

    Thank you

    Arun...

    Solution below:

Customize the page to extende the controller to the header: level of commitment to set.

Instead of the standard gamepad - oracle.apps.ak.attach.webui.AkAttachUploadCO, attach your custom controller.

Custom controller will have the code to check the attachment MIME type and throw an error if not valid.

    Code below:

    package xx.oracle.apps.ak.attach.webui;

    Import oracle.apps.fnd.common.VersionInfo;
    Import oracle.apps.fnd.framework.webui.OAPageContext;

  • Why can't I choose the file type?

When there is a listed image and there is more than one option for the file type, why am I not able to choose the format I want?  I recently spent the Dollar Photo Club and I'm irritated, with the move, I think that I have all the Adobe products to access the files.

Twice he came now I chose an image and sent a .ai file.  I can't open the .ai files because I do not use a program Adobe!  I understand that these wheels are specifically designed for Adobe and I would not have chosen this type of file for this reason.  My problem is that BOTH times the available file type was also listed as a .eps file!  I am able to use this file type.

However, it only gives me the possibility to download this form, even if he says that it is available.  How can I use the image if I can't open it?  Why .eps as a format from the list and then only let me download in a format that I can not use?

This is the ID for the two files I've lost credits on.  It clearly states that these two are available as a .eps, yet I can't access it.

    #93099396
    #28242166

Megan, the dedicated team working on this and it seems to work that way for a long time only; every time, it downloads a file .ai only.

From of now the workaround that you can try is to open the file IN Illustrator and save it as .eps.

    Hope that helps!

  • How to filter the file type and size during uploadind files in APEX

    Hello

I was wondering how I can do to validate the size of a file, before moving in my table? I want to filter the type of file, but for this one, I think I can use regular expressions in a validation process.

I don't know if there is a way to read the size of the file, even before sending it into the temporary table.

    Thank you

    Bodart

    Hi salma,

As far as I KNOW, you need to create a validation APEX (PL/SQL Returns Boolean or returns error text), which interrogate the details of the table apex_flow_files file. Here you can get the file type and size etc.

So just to validate and if the validation fails, then delete the apex_flow_files and riase error message file.

    Kind regards
    Hari

P.S. Please note that, if there are other validations apex on your page, and if they fail, always apex will load the file in the apex_flow_files table. It is sensible to create a validation (PL/SQL) that will trigger (condition) when online validation errors occurred. Make sure it is the LAST commit on your page in the sequence. And here you can write code to delete the table apex_flow_files.

I just wanted to clarify... I posted the code I did for the poster get a start. The links you have posted also show the parsing code, but the example that I posted actually take the downloaded metadata apex and treatment file. Poster will have to do some work modifying the code, but it's a starting point...

I also wanted to say thank you for your presentations to Kscope 2012... Wonderful meet you there too! Now, if you've posted a copy of your request of documentation that would be wonderful!

I built the sql Command first, and then remoteDB.Connection.Execute (sqlCommand, adCmdText)

My classic asp code to construct the sqlCommand object

The writing of the response to the web browser for debugging shows this
procWebAddProspectOwner 1.25, 'HHTitle', 'HHFirstName', NULL, NULL

    ADODB. Connection error '800a0bb9 '.
Arguments are of the wrong type, are out of acceptable range, or are in conflict with one another.

Trouble shoot I have cut and paste this into the asp the elucidating of SQL query page and it works fine.

It is usually a missing connection string. Make sure that the connection
string is there, you wrote that your connections and right
folder is located on the server.
