  The device should be plugged and night mode. Click the button to turn the unit standby, and then click New to display the lock screen. Slide slowly down from the top (like the shadow of the pull down), all the way down to put in bedside mode.

  First... In the hub, tap the lower right three points. Tap the Management Hub. Tap the email account. The value Show In as you wish. Check other accounts and make sure they are set as desired.

  For e-mail notifications... Settings, notifications, select the profile that you want to change, customize the app notifications, e-mail messages, and then set each e-mail account.

  I just got my classic Blackberry an upgarde to my Bold 9780. The first thing I did was to transfer all my call logs, text messages and contacts at classic BB using the BB link. I followed all the steps and complete the process.

  Unfortunately, all contacts, text in waiting and call logs have not been transferred to my classic BB.

  When BB link asks to connect my old Bold 9780 it creats a back to the top folder of request to connect the classic BB and transfers the backup file of the Bold 9780. End of no use as always all my contacts. At the end of the binding process attention msg appears * contacts, messages, and newspapers is poster in a feww minutes, IE it will take time to appear

  Its almost 24 hours and all contacts have not appeared in the classic BB contact application.

Either they don't solve your problem, or that they degenerate to BlackBerry supported which is the same as the paid support, but if they skyrocket you, you do not pay anything.   I pass a device of a "BOLD" with the OS 7.1 to a classic. I can't restore the old device text messages during the switch. I tried 2 ways:

  1 SD card backup and restore. According to the app, text messages are saved and then onto the new device restored, however when I open the SMS on the new device, it says 'No entrΘes in this point of view' and I can't find any of my text messages.

  2 blackberry link. Backup and restore gently, and the application lists the messages MMS and SMS as being transferred. However, once opening text Messages after restoring to the device again, nothing.

  Can someone enlighten me on this?

  Text messages are now in place.

  I did my "BOLD" gradually, moving from the export/import. I wanted a solution to the problem of text message, I waited a few days before actually making the final switch. I decided to go anyway and put in my new SIM card in the classic. After that, when I looked around I found that text messages are there in my classic.

  So either the card SIM must be set up for the text messages to appear (b n - This was a new SIM card, not the old SIM used on the "BOLD"), or it was just a matter of time (I read somewhere in the documentation that it can take a while before all data transferred is visible on the new device no reason given as to why).

  So, if you run into this issue:

  1. Add the SIM card to the new device

  and/or

  2. wait

  Worked for me.

  Oh and save the former such device until things are developed. If nothing else, you can do some sort of manual backup of important text messages, such as taking pictures.
