Classic BlackBerry 'dial' SMS pull... different phone numbers when only a mobile number will work

When you compose a text Message, it takes all the numbers to contact for the person.  not well thought out.  only a mobile number capable of receiving sms.  model "BOLD" or 9900 did this.  need to get fixed as soon as possible - it wastes time choose good number when only 1 option is correct in the first place.   slow

OK great.  y at - it option to create a default num for sms?  don't see that.

set up contacts group & save.  Once this is done, go to each Member of the group, touch & hold, it will turn blue & give you a small box on the right side, with 2 black boxes, a white box & a tick.

Press this button, it will open up «ways to connect»

  • Classic BlackBerry can; t Navigate automated phone system

This AM I had to call my cable company as I had problems with my modem. Of course no one ever answered the phone, so I have to navigate the automated system (press 1 if you are an existing business, etc.). Regardless if I pushed the number keys on the keyboard QUERTY real or those on the touchscreen, automation did not receive my answers. What I'm doing wrong or what is the problem?

    I'm not sure.

You use the keypad in the phone app? If you use the keyboard of the device or the softkeyboard instead of the in-app dial pad phone I don't know it should make no difference, but something to watch.

If you were using the keypad, then perform a soft reset and try again. Perform a soft reset by pressing the power button until the unit stops and begins to restart.

  • Classic BlackBerry DO NOT WANT THE PHONE TO UNLOCK WHEN TURNED ON

When I lock the phone (by pressing the lock button on the top), then place it face down and then pick it up back there somehow automatically wakes up and unlocks. I don't want this feature because it activates the screen and the propensity to make unwanted changes, this seems to be a problem.  All the answers?

Go to the settings of the device, click 'Advanced Integration'. Use the cursors to select the option that you want to disable.

I hope that the above description will help you to solve your problem.

  • The country code of blackBerry Smartphones now to contact phone numbers

As much as the rest of you did, I stupidly upgraded to OS 5.0 and working on new features.

Here's something that intrigues me, however. Now when I dial a number from my contacts list (even one in my own city and area code), my BB puts a + 1 (country code for the US) before the number.

As I don't remember seen this before, it's something new? Or do I have a wrong setting (that I will discover on my Bill in a few days).

    Thanks much for the ideas.

I've changed the 'unknown' country code and now my caller id info works properly

  • Help blackBerry Smartphones, after resetting my phone (due 10 password attempts failed), it will lock in T or stay unlocked to the network all the?

I forgot my password blackberry and only have one attempt left.  I read somewhere that if you enter the password more than 10 ten times then you can reuse the phone but it erases everything (which is fine by me) howevever my question is this, I unlocked my phone to all networks yesterday, my phone will lock t mobile again once it resets itself or it will remain unlocked to all networks.

Thanks in advance, im a new user of the blackberry so that you can understand my confusion.

    Hi kashipower

Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums

When we enter the wrong password longer then 10 (by default) it will wipe this device by removing all the data within the camera, if you previously had your device Unocked then no it won't lock your device to the carrier after a reset.

He will wipe away just the content within the unit.

    Prince

  • BlackBerry smartphones block phone numbers

Does anyone know if the bb 8320 block certain phone numbers, 800 # s or any number?

    TY!

Salvation and welocome on the forums! There is no option on the BB which will allow that. Your carrier will have a call. You can have your carrier block these numbers. There is a free app called ICALLmanager that I use. It allows you to blacklist numbers, numbers unknown to send directly to VM, allows calls only from your address book and a do not disturb option where all calls are sent to the virtual computer. Here is the link for Icall http://www.i-softwarelabs.com/icml.html I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any other questions. If this isn't the case, please take a few minutes to solve this thread using the options of the Kudo star. Thank you!

  • Questions classic blackBerry Blackberry Classic compared to the features and functions of the Bold 9900

I am extremely satisfied with the functionality of my Blackberry Bold 9900 and yet I am fun the idea of upgrading to a classic Blackberry and had a few questions, some of them functional, but one of them is technical:

    (1) I have granularily configured different contacts to the ring through "silent" while some people may sound through if I'm having a NAP or sleep. The classic allows you granularily configure the option of 'ring through' on a manually configured silent mode?

    (2) can the classic surely go to sleep and wake up one day of week / weekend schedule? My current phone doesn't sleep at midnight and wake up at 06:00 every night of the week and 02:00 to 09:00 on weekends.

    (3) back in the day of Blackberry older had a view "of today" where you could see the incoming email and tasks on the main screen. I couldn't get that with my Bold 9900, but I found this interesting app called BePopup which jumps to the top of my texts and emails on the screen as they come, without touching a button. Can you get automatically posted emails or texts with that with the classic?

    (4) the Blackberry plan I have with my provider uses the platform communications for my Blackberry RIM and so my e-mails are immediate, arriving minutes always quicker than other CC (iPhone and Android users) distribution lists. That being said, is the new classic uses what platform these other phones use for messaging connectivity?

Any feedback regarding these essential functions would be greatly appreciated as it will help me in my decision. I am very happy with my 9900 and have little reason to upgrade... unless all of these options are available.

  • With the help of two phone numbers with iOS devices

    Hello

IM wondering what the compatibility of the eco system is for two different phone numbers linked to two iPhones and how services such as iMessage, FaceTime and continuity will work. Does anyone have experience of this and if it will work? Thank you!

It will work if you use the same identifier for the iPhone Apple

iMessage, FaceTime and continuity but not recommended.

  • How to add several phone numbers to a single Apple ID?

I have an iPhone and two SIM cards that are separated with different phone numbers. I want to have two numbers assigned to a single Apple ID.

    How is that possible?

I know it's possible, I don't know what to do.

It's very simple to have two phones with two separate numbers using the same Apple ID. You sign with just the same Apple ID on both of them. However, your situation is different. Only one of the numbers is active on an iPhone at some point. The other is, for the purposes of Apple ID, not active. Then Yes, you should be able to have whatever one is present on the iPhone, which is tied to the Apple ID, although it is active. Once you take out the SIM card and put in the other, it will be one that is active.

  • Phone numbers blackBerry Smartphones as links in the web browser

    All-

I have a section "/ mobile" of our intranet site that our users can access to get the phone numbers.  It was that when they got the list of phone numbers, they can click on the phone number and he would give them the ability to dial the number.  With the torch (checked on two different users), I don't have this option.  The number is just text.  I have never something special for the phone number (it's a link, etc.), so that the browser was just change to a link.

Is it possible to activate this the torch?  Does anyone do this?  Any suggestions?

    Thank you

    Charles

Since the Blackberry 6 OS, the browser has the WebKit engine, resulting in what the browser does'nt detect phone numbers more.

The solution is to make a link with a link to phone:

    00342445545

Then, when you click on the number it will call the number
