You have integrated graphics, you must 42W2460 or 0825 44. Sometimes, on eBay, eBay sellers list the number of the room above with the fan only, but it should be all

  • DV6 - 6b79el: replacement of the fan

    Hi all!
I would like to fix my pc.

The fan does not work, I cleaned it but still no airflow coming out.

So I guess I'll just open the pc and just replace it, someone can help me to get the numer of replacement? Where can I order it? (I am in Italy). Or anywhere to buy a suitable fan for pc on the net.

If it isn't too much a hassle and expensive I would substitute the battery (saw some for €50, of skirting on the official page of the HP €100, how do I get that are compatible and which not?) and so the micro, which stopped working earlier.

Can someone show me where to find replacement numbers and order all those? (Where to get cheap options of all those suggestions are welcome).

(I found the battery through the HP Wizard: http://support.hp.com/us-en/product/HP-Pavilion-dv6-Entertainment-Notebook-PC-series/5145688/model/5... )

Furthermore I modernize the drive HARD and SSD, putting an 850 250 GB samsung evo, do you think that there will be compatibility problems (SATA is II on my pc, but still I see a huge gain from now and would suffice).

    Card of my pc:

I do not understand what DV6 subtype is the case, any suggestions?

    Thanks in advance to all

    Hello

All necessary information is here: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c03015537

Your model has a dedicated 1 GB vga. This means that you need a heatsink / fan Ref: 665308-001

    http://www.eBay.co.UK/ITM/original-new-CPU-cooling-fan-for-HP-665309-001-665308-001-/161359260841?clk_rvr_id=953633071307&rmvSB=true

The replacement procedure is on page 89. Unfortunately, the MIC is part of the motherboard and cannot be replaced. However, it would not be a hardware problem, but a bad driver.

  • computer overheating. dust cleaned and checked the fans

I cleaned the dust and checked to see if the fans are working. They are, but they are quite loud.

How can I solve the problem

I suggest you check the fins of the cooler for a dusty atmosphere.
You might consider replacing the CPU cooler by a market grade.

Remove the cooler, clean the top of the CPU with a Microfiber cloth and denatured alcohol, do the same thing at the base of cpu cooler. Use a good interface thermal Arctic Silver or OCZ Freeze material. Reinstall the cooler.

If you have never done this before there is a decision point. You can have this done in a store. If you have done it before, so no worries.

  • Pavilion dv7-3078nr: replacement of the fan of HP Pavilion dv7-3078nr - party?

Cooling fan does not work.  Receive 90b error message.

I plan to order a new fan, but must determine which party to the order number.  By manual:

    1. P/N 666527 - 001 (for use with computer models equipped with an AMD processor and a graphics subsystem with discrete memory)
    2. P/N 666526 - 001 (for use with computer models equipped with an AMD processor and a graphics subsystem with UMA memory)

How do I know if my laptop uses UMA or discrete memory?

The laptop has a graphics chip from ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4530 Series.  I understand that it has 512 MB of GDDR3 memory on the card.

This, I suppose that this system is considered as having discrete memory and so I should replace the fan with the part number 666527-001.

Please confirm the use of this part number or otherwise.  Thank you.

    Sorry, missed his discreet

    Hi mate

All Toshiba laptops parts can be ordered from the responsible ASP in your country!

This link leads to the global database of ASP.
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/generic_content.jsp?service=EU&ID=ASP_SUPPORT

I presume that it s not possible to get only the singles the touchpad buttons, so if you want to replace the buttons, you will need to get the whole touchpad, but before you order parts you should take notice of the ASP.

  • X 61 failure after cleaning the fan

I just bought a X 61 on ebay and installed Linux Mint, VirtualBox and Win8.1 Preview.

Everything was fine, except that the heat was worried. The fan was going on, but no air seemed to go out, so I followed the service manual and dismantled the entire machine. The area between the fan and the heat sink fins were completely clogged with oily dust and felt, so I have cleaned everything, lubricated the fan and re-assembled the machine.

Now it will not turn on. No lights, nothing. I checked all internal connectors and they all seem fine. I've done this kind of thing often in the past, but not in a X 61.

The only problem I encountered was that the keyboard bezel has been glued to the low case near the hinge of the LH and lever the sticks out, I had to break off a small piece of the bezel at the back, and I've come back with a rear a little loose on the bezel.

So, my question is if there is some sort of small switch in the video cable from the screen, and it has to be precisely positioned wrt the bezel? Also, if I try to paste on the rear window, would be epoxy work with plastic on the bezel, or is there a glue better?

    Thanks for any help.

It is now in place and running 64-bit Linux Mint and the W8.1 virtual machine, although this is not a long term installation, unless I have increase the memory.

The difference in temperature of the tower is amazing, while the fan is doing its job. An additional error was with the keyboard: this is 2 of my 3 machines with an intermittent power switch. Fortunately, the other is a Tablet, so there is a second switch. Lid switch works, but I don't really understand how, and I have not yet tried epoxy on the bezel.

    Life is good again.

  • Pavilion dv7-6c60us: issue of replacement to the Pavilion dv7-6c60us cooling fan

Hi, so I was very sick, and having a TON of medical procedures made and until they are made my phone is my lifeline and my entertainment, etc.  So a few months back I started getting the dreaded cooling fan error 90 b at random, but now it's every time you start, I built workstations for 3D animation and editing of film/TV (which I do) from scratch and I replaced my previous laptop motherboard Dell, but it's been a while and I'm mixes returns on the research of some saying that it is easy to just replace the fan, pop the switch out, replace it and you are made to these step by step guides, saying: he basically have to go all the way to the motherboard to replace just the fan.  I wanted to just go straight to the horses mouth so to speak and know, because given my health unstable and "convalescent" until I got better in VERY VERY RURAL NC it is now a doubtful 'authorized repair shop' which is little far from me, I wonder if it is only involved should I just let - keeping in mind , I have medical bills piling up and a lot of know how myself, but maybe not the stamina, or should I hard outside - year how "hard" is to just replace the fan.  The left side of the laptop last week became really hot to the touch, whereas before there were 90 b but there was no significant difference and the unit still works, and that's all that I have here PC / computer wise and cannot not simply run out and purchase all replacement until after I'm better that might be 4 months or more? Help?

Replace a fan in a book involves a complete disassembly of the laptop.

If you don't have the patience and thoroughness to disassemble and reassemble then the laptop to a State because of your physical condition, I would recommend having a shop to do it for you. Consider cloning hard drive to a storage device before you leave the shop to have it.

  • How to disable or change the settings of the fan check rpm at startup?

    Hi all...

    My system features:

    HP p6180t

    Prod #: AV129AV #ABA

    Processor Q9550

    8 GB RAM

    Card mother IPIEL-A3

    Updated:

    PSU Corsair HX650W

    ASUS GeForce GTX560

My original processor cooling fan has stopped working recently and I chose to replace it with a heat sink better while I was home. I used a Cooler Master Gemini II M4 because it was the only cooler increased capacity that would fit in my current case.

After the installation, I got the "error: CPU fan does not, the computer now shuts down to prevent damage to the CPU." Etc... »

My guess is that the motherboard don't like the new fan supplied with the new heat sink. The fan is bigger and I am sure that laps at a RPM lower than the stock fan. I checked my BIOS settings and do NOT have the "Hardware Monitor" section under the "Advanced" tab My BIOS is a newer level than the HP site will provide updates (mine is):

    BIOS Version/Date American Megatrends Inc. 5.09, 19/08/2009).

Is there another way to change the speed of the fan RPM to avoid the error at startup in the BIOS?

I am able to start the computer by using similar fan size 4 pins on the motherboard, while the proper size fan (actually mounted on the radiator) is disconnected. Even with no fan, the new radiator keeps the processor to 45 C or less through all 4 cores under load average.

I guess I could always leave this small fan plugged into the motherboard for the BIOS to be happy and to power the CPU fan off (with an additional case fan) molex power. That would be a last option because I rather know if my CPU fan does not work...

Any help is much appreciated, thank you!

    John

I understand that your new fan is not detected as work correctly by the BIOS.  The BIOS does not provide all that many options to control functions such as the speed of the fan, and it's not a way to access this function to the best of my knowledge.  I'm afraid that the workaround you mentioned may be your only option with the existing fan do not have access to this setting in the BIOS.

You mentioned that you have connected a fan of similar size to ignore the error.  Is there a RPM higher than the fan at the top of the heat sink fan?  See the pictures here, it seems that the fan is detachable and can be replaced by the fan who works with the BIOS.  It comes as the fan who gets past the BIOS will fit the heatsink.

  • Replacing the fan for w/15.4 "screen and GPU integrated T60

    Greetings,

The combo fan/heater several months ago, I bought for my T60 was apparently the 41W6409 for a T60 with discreet gpu and cpu, but mine is an integrated model that uses the 41W6408.

As I can't return it, I was just thinking to replace the old fan with that on the new heatsink. But I'm not sure that it will fit, being the only FRU I could find for the Fan/Heatsink combo.

So, I was wondering if someone here who happened to know if these fans are the same.

Thank you very much in advance.

Steve, you can use the unobtrusive radiator on your integrated motherboard. In fact, the best option in my opinion is to go with a T61 heatsink that is designed to cool the much more powerful X 3100 graphics and uses the thermal paste rather than pads type blade of silicone used to cool graphic systems T60. Alternatively, you can replace these pads with thermal paste on the heatsink T60 but unity T61 is better in my opinion. I can't tell you if the fans are interchangeable, because there was more than one fan used on the T60 models intel, some were, and some were not. There was also a discreet couple different sinks of heat, but will be more than enough for the cooling of your integrated graphics. Platform which cools the discrete gpu will not be used so it isn't a problem and cooling chipset platform will suffice for the cooling of your integrated graphics.

  • Replace the fan in T60

For anyone who has installed a new fan in their T60, do you know how to interpret correctly the tables of Lenovo parts for a spare for the T60 fan?  I type/model 2613-EJU and the two part #41V9932 AND #41W6407 are under the separate tables for thermal device and (integrated) fan for the 2613. Which is correct?  I want to assure you that ordering the right pair. Also, how complicated has been replaced?  The instructions contained in the manual of air maintenance simple. Previously, I upgraded the hard drive, from 80 to 300 GB without problem (because of some excellent tips, I've discovered in this community!). -Thank you

    PAL, welcome to the forum,

If you look on this site , you will see that 41V9932 is correct RUF, in the listed models against the RUF, you will see 2613-EJx that isn't against the 41W6407. It is relatively easy to replace; you will find the instructions in the hardware maintenance manual (pdf page 95).

    Hope this helps

  • Where can I buy a replacement of the Thinkpad T61 fan?

Where can I buy a replacement of the Thinkpad T61 fan?  I looked everywhere in the Lenovo site, and I can only find the referenced part number, not a place to buy it.

When I opened my Thinkpad, the fan, he said:

    Lenovo-P/N 42W2461

    FRU P/N 42W2460

Everyone here has already tried other merchants successfully (eBay, etc.)?

(I am out of warranty and the fan is noisy when it is hot, unlike when it was new, and I sometimes "Fan Error" at startup in the BIOS).

Parts of IBM in the United States sells these fan parts, many fans on ebay are refurbished or from broken machinery (the fan should work fine).

I think that IBM sells the fan for about 50 to 80 USD, including delivery by mail.

  • T60 8741CTO - replacing the fan

When replacing the fan. can I just replace the plastic part (fan himself) does not replace the radiator? I order a fan on ebay and I hope that I can separate the radiator fan. Any clue?

  • T61 suddenly stops after replacing the fan

I was getting a fan error (which prevented the start unit), so I ordered a replacement.

On install last night, everything seemed fine. Unit ran fine for 20 m and then Bam! abrupt stop.

This morning, same thing, the two witht the battery installed and with it out.

I have to suspect the fan, but I guess that the unit would not start even though the fan was not working.

any suggestions to diagnose the problem?

    Thank you very much

    Peter

    Hard to say...

The theory says the system automatically stops to avoid damage permanent, but if you tried to run more than once...

In any case a new CPU won't cost you much. Try again once the thermal paste is reapllied.

I hope you're using the HMM and following the procedures described here. Don't forget to tell us the number of type of machine (see my post above)

    Good luck!

  • Radiator and fan on Thinkpad T60 T61

    Hello

Its time to change the fan on my Thinkpad T60. I thought to replace the entire cooling system (fan and heat sink). Is it possible, in terms of compatibility, use a T61 radiator and fan? I mean having a FRU:41V9932 and FRU:42W2820. I've heard that T61 cooling system, is better than the T60, his cooler etc and more completely.

What is did anyone of you experience this nature? Are they compatible physics?

    Thank you

    My model:

    ThinkPad T60, 14.1 "

    BIOS: 79ETE7WW (2.27)
    Product ID: 2623-D6U
CPU T2400 Intel Due Core (Yonah), 31W
    GPU: ATI X 1300

    Thanks for the info.

  • Satellite M30-604 freezes and the fan does not work after replacing

Satellite SM30-604. Laptop has left the mat from one day to the next and overheated! Fan won't spin and laptop start only occasionally. Thinking that the fan was fault I replaced the fan but even this new fan doesn't spin. The heat sink is totally clean - dust free inside the fins at all. The laptop is only 2 years.

Cooling using forced (by sticking a nozzle of aspiration to the output of the cooling fan!) the laptop starts sometimes as normal until the desktop screen with all of the usual icons and no error message. But then, it does not further - the freezing of the screen, keyboard and mouse.

Most of the time it does not start at all. When it does not start, the blue LED lights up but there is no hard disk activity or LCD at all - even the wifi LED lights even.

Really grateful if someone knows what's going on. You are not sure if it is the main processor that is defective?

    Thanks in advance.

    Charlie

    Hello, Charlie

As you know on this path is not easy to give an accurate diagnosis, but according to your assignment, I guess there is a complex problem and unit must be properly verified. I also think that there must be a problem with the electronics.

It is really possible that the motherboard needs to be replaced but, as I already said, it is not possible to say something specific about your problem. Try contacting Asp and you will see what they say.

    Good bye
