Click Middle T500 works do not (new tabs open)
Hey guys, I had sound problems that I fixed by updating my BIOS of drivers from the Web site. But now I can use is no longer the Middle click button. I used this for the opening of new tabs, and now it does not work yet for scrolling either. I have the auto scroll enabled in firefox and I confirmed that it does work in IE either. I went to control panel-> mouse and there is not even an option for a Center button. Any help you guys could give me would be much appreciated because it is really annoying. Thank you!
I thought about it. I'll put an explanation here for any other poor soul, that this is the case. Control Panel-> hardware and sound-> mouse - > Hit tab at the top right Ultranav-> settings under Trackpoint-> and under the option of scrolling down, choose None. If you won't be able to scroll, but who really cares.

New tabs open to the right of the current page, not extreme right?
I liked using the new tab button, which disappeared from the most recent version, I had to go back to 38 to find it and put it back on my toolbar. However, I was not able to set the way in which the new tab opens, next to the page that I am. Previously, if I clicked on the new tab button, a new tab would open at the far right of the tabs. I tried to fix it by going to about: config, changing the browser.tabs.insertrelatedaftercurrent to 'false' to 'true' as was the fix in 2013. Alas, it doesn't now and I want to change it back. In addition, the new tab icon/button is gone for good in the new versions?
If your new tab button opens a tab in the middle of your tabs, it could be a feature of an extension related to tab. Some of them, such as Tab Mix Plus and Tab Utilities have so many parameters it can be a challenge to sort through all of them. You can check your extensions and check if they have an Options button to tweak their settings, on page modules. Either:
- CTRL + SHIFT + a
- "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Extensions. Then go through the list on the right side.

This problem may be caused by an extension that is not working properly.

I went to about: config and changed keyword.enable to false. It works for the homepage at Firefox startup.

Try Firefox Safe mode to see if the problem goes away. Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode, which disables most of the modules.
(If you use it, switch to the default theme).
- You can open Firefox 4.0 + in Safe Mode holding the key SHIFT key when you open the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.
- Or open the Help menu and click on the restart with the disabled... modules menu item while Firefox is running.
Once you get the pop-up, simply select "" boot mode safe. "
If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to understand that one. To do this, please follow article Troubleshooting extensions, themes and problems of hardware acceleration to resolve common Firefox problems .
To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before you open Firefox for normal use again.

Since I've been infected by searchqu and removed (hopefully) so, when I try and click on the + to open a new tab, nothing happens. I also tried clicking on file, scroll to a 'new tab' but yet again, nothing happens. However, if I go to file then "new window", then it will open a new window - but what a nightmare! Please can someone help?

Why not a new tab opens?
I've recently updated to Firefox 10. I often go on the website called BayCrazy which has many links to Ebay. Before the update, when I clicked on a link of BayCrazy, a new tab open with the article on Ebay, now when I click on a link on BayCrazy, the page I'm on Ebay changes. His cos very embarrassing, I'll have to keep clicking on the 'back' button to return to BayCrazy, especially if I take a detailed look at the Ebay item... I might have to click back 4 or 5 times. How can I go back to how it was?

Question as noted, sums it up. When I click on the mousewheel on a link in a tab, for I want a new tab open with that link and want it beside the tab, I clicked on the link in any as Firefox V3.6 has done. Firefox 8 is always open the new tab at the end of the list and boy is that embarrassing!

New tabs open in a new window or in a pre-existing window that is not currently used.
What happened is that I was running two windows of Firefox at the same time and trying to open a new tab, the new tab opens in the window I was not currently using. Later, I closed a window and trying to open links in a new tab, instead it will open a new window.
I checked the settings of the options that would be opening a new window opens a new tab instead turned on, which is.

Open a new tab opens a new tab and new window in double - how can this be corrected?
When a new tab is opened (by any method-'ctrl t' etc - a new tab opens, but also a new window which is a duplicate of the window active.) Assistance to resolve this would be most appreciated.
Please try Firefox Safe Mode to see if the problem goes away. Firefox Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode that temporarily disables hardware acceleration, restores some settings and disables add-ons (extensions and themes).
If Firefox is open, you can restart Firefox Safe mode in the Help menu:

If Firefox does not work, you can start Firefox in Mode safe as follows:
