Click on a web service, populated DG to fill another

I'm building my first Flex app and am having trouble. I don't know if the problem is with the web services or just my understanding of events in Flex. A method of the web service returns a list of speakers that I put in a data grid. I called during loading.

< mx:WebService id = "speakerData".
WSDL = "" http://mydomain.com/myService.cfc?wsdl " "
Load = "speakerData.getSpeakersInfo ()" / >

It fills the main DataGrid without difficulty. When you click on a row in the grid, I can fill the other components of text, upload a photo, etc. Another thing I need to occur when you click on the grid is to pass the ID of the speaker and some other parameters to the WS to run another method to get at the same time this particular speaker is available. I want to fill that lead to another grid. Heck, it could be in a text box, I don't like. So, I wrote this code:

< mx:WebService id = "availableSlots" wsdl = " http://mydomain.com/myService.cfc?wsdl" >
< mx:operation name = "getAvailableSlotsForSpeaker" >
< mx:request >
< registrationType > MSI < / registrationType >
< speakerID > {speakerGrid.selectedItem.SPEAKERID} < / speakerID >
< eventYear > 2006 < / eventYear >
< maxStudents > 6 < / maxStudents >
< / mx:request >
< / mx:operation >
< / mx:WebService >

Now, you'll notice that it's another component to WS WebService even. I don't know if that makes a difference.

In my second dataGrid, I have the following:

dataProvider = "{availableSlots.getAvailableSlotsForSpeaker.lastResult}" "

What should he do not? Do I need some sort of click = "" in the first DG to get this fire? " I have to pass the event to a function of ACE and do call the WS and return the data? If so, what this function would look like and how/where I'd call it?

Thanks for your help. I looked at examples and that took me so far, but I can't get the last mile.

Kind regards

Bob

I'm sorry that I've not responded earlier. You answered my questions and we got that it operational app. Thanks for your help.

  • HP 7520: Error Message: unable to connect to web services

Since I changed my internet password, I can scan is no longer e-mail. I entered the password and allows to print very well, but can not scan to e-mail. Can someone please?

Well, it means that there is a setting on the router to which the printer is having some problems with. This should allow the printer to ignore:

    1. On the printer, click on the wireless icon that looks like a radio tower note the IP address.
    2. In address bar type your browser the IP address as it appears on the printer.
    3. Click the network tab.
    4. Click Network on the left.
    5. Under network, select network protocols.
    6. On the right, select enable IPv4 only and press on apply.
    7. Under network, select network address (IP).
    8. On the right, select manual IP address.
    9. Check boxes for IP address, enter the IP address as it appears on the printer.
    10. In the subnet mask boxes, type 255 255 255 0.
    11. In areas close to the default gateway, enter the three first series of numbers as they appear on the printer. The fourth box will be 1. For example, if your printer's IP address is 192.168.1.5, type the default gateway as 192 168 0 1.
    12. Click on apply.
    13. Turn the printer off.
    14. While the printer is turned off, disconnect the power cable from the back of the router for a minute.
    15. When the lights come back on the router, turn on the printer.

At this point, you should be able to use ePrint. If you can use ePrint, try to scan to E-mail. Now:

If you could not use ePrint, there is a setting on the router that would need to be changed. Contact your internet provider and ask them to:

    • Open all ports.
    • Select multicast.
    • Disable MAC filtering/MAC cloning
    • Disable the network of comments.
    • Make sure that the router has a band of 2.4 GHz (gigahertz).

You can use ePrint, but scanning to email, got the same error:

    1. On the printer, click web services icon in the upper left corner of the screen.
    2. Click settings.
    3. Click on delete Web Services.
    4. Click again on the Web Services.
    5. Click on accept and Yes.
    6. Try scanning to Email.

Please let me know the results after following the above. If you can use the scan to e-mail, click on accept solution. If you appreciate my help, please click on the thumbs up icon. The two icons are below this post.

  • How to call Web Services in JDeveloper

    Hi friends

I m new in the ADF, I call the webservices in JDeveloper but I m stuck, suspicion would be very useful. Thanks in advance.

    Hello

You can create a client for the web service (project right click-> New-> company Tier-> Web-> Web Service Proxy Services),
or you can create a Web Service data control (project right click-> New-> company-> Web Services-> Web Service level data control).
In both cases you must provide the URL of the web service.

  • InDesign server web service - where is the support to download a file with the script and download the result?

    Hello

I'm working on a VINE which is supposed to convert indd files in pdf format (that is, using of course the indesign server). Basically, I want to call the Web Service of IDS (located on another machine, perhaps), spend in the input file, the conversion script and retrieve the result under the WebService call?

Navigation on the documentation, examples, etc. in the SDK, I couldn't see how the above can be achieved unless the client manages the transfer of files. Surely I must be missing something...

    Thank you

    Chris

What do you mean by POC?

InDesign Server is too valuable (i.e. cost of the license) to waste his time with file transfers.

For a smaller scale, letting a separate process (http or smb server) on the same server hardware files - InDesign Server providing access on the local volume faster.

If you are planning for bigger, use a dedicated server for file sharing (at the choice of the SMB, NFS, or other), when the input files are prepared by the process of the client, so that your load balancing program can immediately point the next free instance of the InDesign Server farm to the file. In this case, be prepared for some trial and error - high-speed file sharing can be tricky with files written on one side not yet visible or incomplete on the other side, locking problems, filename Unicode trouble, unexpected time and so on.

BTW, there is also a forum of InDesign Server which would be more suitable for these discussions.

  • The IOM Web services URL

We try to implement SPML Web services in IOM. We have deployed web services connector in Jboss AS and then ran the batch file, which shows the accumulation of success.

Now I have problems finding the default URL for web services (for IOM). Is it located in a file/location in the Home Directory of the IOM, or do we need to register an SPML Service via the Service Manager web oracle to obtain the URL?

    Thank you

The section in the doc you are quoting refers to integration with Oracle Web Services Manager (WSM) which is another product. If you deploy SPML web service to the application server (and not WSM), then you must read the deployment with... article 12.3, where it has information on each application server. Endpoint URL of a deployed service are:

    WebLogic: / spmlws/OIMProvisioning
    JBoss: / spmlws/services/HttpSoap11
    OC4J, WebSphere: / spmlws/HttpSoap11

Once you have deployed the web service of SPML, run the client example, you get even the source code so you can see exactly what is happening. If you want to generate a WSDL from Java classes using the web services toolkit, there is nothing preventing you to do this, just take a WSDL for the right application server.

  • HP Envy 110 All In One printer: HP Envy 110 series does not connect to Web Services

I had the printer a number of years and it works very well. I wanted to set up the service of replacement with HP ink, but apparently the "Web Services" are not put in place?

The iprint app refuses to implement. (says it is not connected to the internet and it is!)  I have tried restore factory settings and delete and reinstall on my laptop, nothing helps. I tried to enter the ip address in the browser, but it still does this end no more.

The MNA I am doing wrong?

    Help, please.

    Thank you

Welcome to the Forum from HP Support. I hope you're well @Amchad!

I read on the web-services and wanted to stop doing you to share my suggestions.

As of September 1, 2016, Web Services stop working and are no longer supported on some printers. I'm afraid that your printer is on the list and therefore not compatible with web services. The function ePrint and other web services are not available on this printer.

Please check the details here: http://hp.care/2eKfeK2

As an alternative to HP ePrint, go to Google Cloud Print (in English) to set up your printer as printer 'classic' to use Google Cloud print with your printer.

Hope that answers your questions. Let me know!

    See you soon

  • HP photosmart 7525: hp 7525 unable to connect to web services

I recently bought an Imac, and now I can't get my hp 7525 to analyze correctly. It says unable to connect to web services. I tried to uninstall wirless and re-login.  Help, please!

    Hello

    My apologies for jumping.

To add more, the latest firmware MUST be installed to maintain connectivity of the web services.

Click on the configuration icon and select Tools, then print a printer status report.

Locate the firmware listed, if it is a value lower than ELM1CN1607AR (see "BOLD" kinds) you will be required to update the firmware.

Unfortunately, a Mac OS firmware update utility is not currently available, so you must use a Windows PC to update the printer:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/swdetails/HP-Photosmart-7520-e-all-in-one-printer-series/5199461/model/5286642/swItemId/OJ-113641-5

Once obtained the latest firmware, try to use Web Services again and check for the difference.

I'm trying to enable Web Services on this new LaserJet.  I am in the built-in Web Server page and the configuration of Web Services tab.  I clicked on 'Turn on' and it just keeps spinning in connection...

    DNS is 8888 and 8844

All the other tabs work; It is connected to the computer and the Internet.  Help please?

    Thank you!

    Hi @crowndude,

I see that you have problems with Web Services. I want to help you.

I have provided a few steps to try to see if we can solve this problem.

Turn off IPv6 on the printer.

Go to configuration, network configuration, network, IPv6 Services and turn it off.

This DNS works better for Laserjet printers. Please change the settings to see if this will help the printer built-in Web server.

    Preferred DNS address: 209.244.0.3
    Auxiliary DNS address: 209.244.0.4

    Power cycle the printer.

If you still have questions, please continue with the following steps:

Update the firmware of the printer by a USB connection. HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP Firmware update M177fw.

Configure a static IP address for the printer. Proceed to Solution 3: printer of the assign a static IP address.

Printer HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M177fw and HP LaserJet Pro MFP M127fw and M128fw printers - printer does not keep the Wi - Fi connection.

I'll send you another step to try in a private message.
In the forum next to your handle name simply click on the envelope to see.

    Hi GayleneC,

Thank you for the update and additional information.  I really appreciate it.

You indicated that you tried to update the firmware, I wonder because the printer is not connecting to web services that is may not have logged in to check the updates of the firmware.  I have included two links, one is for the Windows of HP LaserJet Pro Series Firmware Update Utility version , the other is for the Mac version of the HP LaserJet Pro Series Firmware Update Utility. Please choose your operating system and we will try and update the firmware without using the front panel of the printer.

After you run the firmware update utility, please disable IPv6 wireless via built-in web server.  Please follow the steps below:

    1. To open the HP embedded Web server, type the IP address of product in a Web browser address line. When it opens, it should look like the screenshot below.

    2. Please click on the 'Network' tab as highlighted in the screenshot above.

    3. Please click on 'Advanced' in the side menu on the left as indicated above. Please disable IPv6 and click 'apply '.

    4. Please click on the "HP Web Services" tab.

    5. Please click on the button "activate". Print the newsletter of Web Services.

I don't know that to which you are referring - he could be the following:

  • PhotoSmart 7520 does not connect to "Web Services"

My new PhotoSmart 7520 eAll-in-one printer will not connect to the "web services" today. Yesterday all top and work without any problem. Any app I try, it gives me the same error message.

I run Win XP, the computer is connected to a wireless router with LAN feature. My printer is connected through the LAN. It was working fine yesterday. I did no changes since last night my computer system.

I'm and turned on the printer and went to print simple Crusaders and received the message that it cannot connect to the 'Web Services '. Sever after tests, I check wireless settings and it shows that it works with an excellent signal strength. The Mac address shows as does the correct IP address for the printer.

I checked my router to see if she was talking to the printer and everything was correct and functional. He showed increased activity with the printer wireless and work, the IP and Mac addresses were both correct.

I followed several statements of SUPPORT from HP on the withdrawal and the reactivation of the Web abuse and got a print both times I tried it.

Just before I downloaded HP Print and Scan, a small icon doctor appeared in the system tray in the lower right by saying that the computer analysis was not available. I ran the program doctor and ran the fixes to scan and print. The small icon disappeared, but I don't know what has been corrected.

I turned the printer and on again at least twice. And I ran twice wireless configuration software.

I can always connect to web services. I didn't have this problem when I set up the new printer Saturday. It worked fine until this morning.

I'm not having any problem connecting to Internet with other software.

We will define a static IP address and (most importanly) an external DNS for the printer:

-Print a the front of the printer Network Setup Page. Note the IP address of the printer.
-Enter the IP address in a browser to reveal the internal settings of the printer.
-Choose the network tab, then wireless along the left side, then on the IPv4 tab.
-On this screen, you want to set a manual IP address. You must assign an IP address outside the range that the router sets automatically (called the DHCP range). If you do not know the range, change the last set of numbers (those after the last '.') 250
-Apply the subnet 255.255.255.0 (unless you know it's different, if so, use it)
-Enter the IP of your router (on the Page of the Network Config) for the gateway.
-Enter for the first DNS 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 for second DNS. It's Google DNS. You can choose a different external DNS if you wish.
    -Click 'apply '.

Now, stop the router and printer, start the router, wait, and then start printing.

After that, you will have to redo 'Add printer' using the new IP address.
