Client Jabber Viceo registry for VCS/MSDS

Hello

I am trying to record a video jabber VCS or TMS customer but his does not work. Whenever I was

"Bad username, domain and/or password". Check spelling and caps lock.

Do not know why. Should what I do to register a customer with username and password? VCSC and VCSe are configured for access from inside and outside VCSe.

Is there a guide for video Jabber clients?

Best regards

Jason

Hi Jason!

You need a starter pack of VCS-highway or TMS (license + Movi licenses) and a VCS (with the option of commissioning key device).

As you write VCSe and c its more likely that you do not have the starter pack.

She has need of configuration and user creation, so it would work not just out of the box.

The recommended method is the TMSPE, you will find here the deployment guide:

http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/docs/Telepresence/infrastructure/tmspe/Install_Guide/Cisco_TMSPE_Deployment_Guide_1-0.PDF

If you have older versions of TMS/VCS you will use it (but I recommend you upgrade and use TMSPE!):

http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/docs/Telepresence/infrastructure/TMS/config_guide/Cisco_TMS_Provisioning_Deployment_Guide_13-0.PDF

In addition to this documentation Cisco for TMS, VCS and JabberVideo control.

  • When the sequence of process template client file is loaded for execution?

    As part of a custom process template I've created, I would like to make a few changes in the sequence of the client before file called by the process template. These changes will be then be restored after the loop finishes USE (I'm changing the sequential model).

    Another thread, I discovered that TestStand sequences cannot be edited structurally once they have been loaded for execution. My question is: what is client sequence template process ' for execution "?

    After some research, I discovered that the sequence of the client file is not locked to prevent changes to the sequence editor until the "Reminder of the main sequence" sequence step call runs in the model process entry point. At this stage, the sequence of the client file is loaded dynamically as the module at this stage.

    However, before this point, there are two places that the file of the client's sequence is used, and I want to assure you that they don't 'load the customer file for execution.  The Runstate.ProcessModelClient property is a reference to the object the client file SequenceFile and exist as soon as the entry point is called. In addition, the engine must know about the sequence of the client file to correctly call reminders of process model. Do any of these things make the movie of 'responsible for performance customer file?

    It boils down to this: can I do safely from the structural changes to my file of sequence of the client during the ProcessSetup and ProcessCleanup?

    According to the information I found in another post (see the comments of Eric_Crank on page 2), it is allowed. However, in this case customers were only make changes to the property Data of the RunState.ProcessModelClient. I want to assure you that I can use the TestStand API on the reference too.

    Also, just FYI, I got this works. I can add steps to the sequence MainSequence customer sequence file of the group stage of installation of the point of entry of the process model via the API TestStand. I ask here if make sure that it is a safe thing to do, and that there is nothing I plan not to.

    Thank you.

    Josh,

    If your sequence allows the option "optimize no concave calls this sequence", the first time the sequence run TestStand stores a copy of the execution of the sequence in a cache associated with running. As long as the sequence is in this cache you can not change, and TestStand considers that the sequence for 'run' file (see the SequenceFile.IsExecuting property). You cannot unload 'enforcement' sequence files (see SequenceFile.CanUnload). Sequences remain in the cache until it is closed. There is no way for you to remove the sequences of this cache, but you can prevent them to be added to the cache by turning off the option "optimize... ». Disabling this option should have no impact on the performance that you call the sequence only once.

    Hello

    Microsoft Compression Client Pack 1.0 for Microsoft Windows XP and Microsoft Windows Server 2003 contains the Msdelta.dll file. The Msdelta.dll file is a library which is part of the Windows Vista operating system. The Msdelta.dll file exports functionality to create and apply binary deltas. These deltas are used to efficiently download updates for Windows Vista. This advanced compression technology is also suitable for many other differential compression scenarios.

  • License of VCS & MSDS

    Hello world

    I need to clarify some doubts with permission of TMS and VCS:

    Our customers need to add endpoints SX20, the customer already has a deployment of TP with TMS, VCS Expressway & control, MSE8510.

    I have two options:

    1 - save the SX20 endpoints in CUCM and use of TMS for planning.

    -The permit required for CUCM 9.x: R-UCL-UCM-LIC-K9 (LIC-TP-9 X-ROOM)
    -The permit required for TMS 14.3.1: L-TMS-SW-PAK (LIC-TMS-100)

    2 - save the SX20 endpoints in VCS and use of TMS for planning.

    -The permit required for TMS 14.3.1: L-TMS-SW-PAK (LIC-TMS-100)
    -The permit required for VCS X.7.2.2: L-VCS-PAK (LIC-VCS-100), I'm not sure if I need this license for firewall VCS non-traversal?. If each SX20 is registred in VCS is not necessary this kind of license, right? Will be requerided if I need SIP-H323 o IPv4-IPv6?

    Could you please confirm if I'm wrong? Y at - it another option? Do I need other permits?

    Any other comments are welcome.

    Thank you

    Pablo

    Hi Pablo.

    If you add just additional end points, the easiest way would be to add to the existing deployment (option 2 above) rather than adding additional complexity with CUCM (option 1).

    According to the license on the current deployment, you may or may not need to purchase additional licenses.

    (1) to check their existing TMS to see if there are licenses available system (this is shown on the display main portal when you open a session (near bottom of box to the left).  If you need more, you can buy them - you don't mention how you add - but you can buy them in smaller than 100 packages if you need (IE a L-TMS-25 is 25 licenses of system).

    (2) check the VCS control the number of licenses currently installed (they are once again, on the first screen get you when you open a session).  Check the license limit and of leading figures - that should give you an indication as to the relevance any more necessary or not (that is to say, if the vertex figure is not closer to the limit, you will not need to buy more).  Again, you can buy them in containers smaller than 100. They allowed to 'simultaneous call', so you generally do not have one for each device.  If all calls are within one organization on the VCS, Non-Traversal licenses, you will need on the control VCs.

    Let us know how you go, or if you have any other questions.

  • CTS 1300 how register for VCS

    Hello

    We have recently acquired a CTS-1300 and we need to save the cts for VCS as a goalkeeper, we run the software CTS 1.6 and 7.1 VCS, is it possible?

    At this time we do not want to register in our handler calls, we really need to use the VCS instead, it is possible by upgrading the version of the software on the CTS?

    Hello

    According to my knowledge on the RTC devices, you must have a call manager to save it.

    living with VCS is not possible at this time.

    Hi all

    We are offshore on the endless power level and patch the path with the imminent release of the x8.2.1 to fix another bug in OpenSSL (among others) which are potentially more dangerous than the question of the HeartBleed of a few months back. Notice of Cisco was sent near earlier (18/07/2014), which suggests that CSCup25151 of bug will be fixed in x8.2.1. I just check the download site and it doesn't seem to be available yet. Any idea on when this might be?

    I wonder also if additional fixes will be needed for the C/SX CODECs (and other), the line TC of the software running. As far as I can see, bug reference CSCup25163 covers some of these issues in the TC7.1.4 version (already out) but I'm assuming that another rejection would be next - or make any remaining issues of OpenSSL (listed for VCS above) does not affect the line of code TC?

    All welcomed to this topic?

    Unfortunately the newspapers show much... (note: they do not contain client-side logs)

    one thing I thought well... since he is a computer thinClient - we have seen the questions that manufacturers computer thinClient some of their own 'management' software install on the client. He often tries to do things with usb devices (maybe try to share them between a receiver client citrix application and view client app or maybe just there is a citrix receiver application installed too). In our experience, we've seen these apps interfere between them as they try to hang the bottom of usb devices down into the kernel.

    as such, could you try stop any 3rd party services - either citrix or your provider of thin client and then try again.

    If the problem persists, can you be sure to also collect these log files from the computer thinclient:

    Windows client

    • %ProgramData%\VMware\VDM\logs\debug-*.txt
      AND
    • C:\Windows\Temp\vmware-SYSTEM\vmware-usbarb-*.log

    Linux client

    • default /tmp/vmware-root/VMware-view-Usbd-*.log
      AND
    • / Library/Logs/VMware/vmware-usbarbitrator -.log

    for reference, the Agent-side usb connects:

    • %ProgramData%\VMware\VDM\logs\debug-*.txt

  • MOVI authentication for VCS-TMSPE-AD?

    Hi, Expert

    Setup is X7.2 VCS, 13.2 TMSPE with MS active directory as the database of the user.

    The user account has been imported into TMSPE by system > Provisioning > users > Group XXX > import user > configure AD.

    And VCS has been integrated with TMSPE successfully.

    The problem here is how the authentication works? is the user/password full name was imported to TMSPE when importing and then go to VCS? or only modules imported to MSDS?

    I tried the connection, but he also inspired the name of username/password wrong, with logging below, but if I change the user password in TMSPE manully, then it works.

    For authentication of device using NTLM in integrating MS AD, TMS import user account from the AD server (single user but account not password).

    This account information will export to VCS of TMS as provisioning user account (yet once does not include password).

    When VCS receive application for commissioning of Jabber client video, VCS will challenge ad server password.

  • VCS-E for VCS - C MOVI AUTHENTICATION WITH AD AUTHENTICATION

    Hello

    We have a VCS - C and VCS-E. We have movi users currently authenticated by the local Agent of MSDS database.

    We are now in the treatment of the migration to Active Directory authentication.

    We did it by selecting "Check for credentials" on VCS - C area (entry point for provisioned client) default and each user movi on internal network is getting authenticated with credentials of the AD. (User domain\username & domain password)

    However, if a user of VCS - E attempts to authenticate the credentials of the AD, the connection fails with an invalid username and password.

    If we try to use the username and password of MSDS agent, it works very well.

    Proceed to the next step, we have activated the "Check for authentication" then the VCS - C road customer area to the VCS-E. Then authentication is fine with the AD credentials for users outside movi.

    Now, I want to know, allowing the "Check for authentication" then the VCS - C course CLient area will affect the flow of calls between VCS - C and VCS-E or any service will be interrupted.

    Best regards / / Rio

    You have all the other things listed in the VCS-E? As endpoints, gateways? In brief

    anything with the same fields that are set up on the SCV - C as well?

    You register customers movi on the VCS-E or proxy list them on the VCS - C?

    Outside calls does not at all, as the auth hits the same domain only.

    What you might try is if your movi users can always successfully connect from the outside through the

    the VCS-E to the devices registered in the VCS - C and also presence and directories.

    These are the things that break likely tend to break, if there is something else wrong.

    Not to mention that if you have configured correctly it should work correctly

    Please take some time and go through this guide, they have fine examples in the annex,

    so you can double check your configuration:

But as I link percevied, to check the attribute registry "scan host' which is integrated in the module anyconnect 3.0 will be charged. So why he asks me to activate the CSD? CSD is really necessary to verify the registry attribute even if we use anyconenct 3.0 +? Any pointer

    The end of the ASA must be activated and more bits based on AnyConnect.

    Notes elsewhere in the link you quoted, it is said ' host Scan automatically identifies the operating systems and service packs on any remote device establishing a clientless SSL VPN and AnyConnect Cisco client session and when the host Scan/CSD or CSD is activated on the SAA. FYI Cisco is to denigrate these features over time for the Posture of scanning at the ISE in conjunction with the new posture AnyConnect 4.0 module.

  • Management of data access Client pulling the registry instead of Web.config settings

    I have an ASP.NET 4.0 application configured with the managed provider of ODP (32 bit) via the customer install the production. It is configured with the following text in the root web.config file:

    <oracle.manageddataaccess.client>
      <version number="4.121.1.0">
        <settings>
          <setting name="TraceLevel" value="127"/>
          <setting name="TraceOption" value="0"/>
          <setting name="TraceFileLocation" value="c:\temp\odpnet66.trc"/>
        </settings>
        <onsConfig mode="remote"></onsConfig>
      </version>
    </oracle.manageddataaccess.client>

    When I look for the trace file, however, I realize that it is written to a location set to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\ORACLE\ODP.NET\4.121.1.0.

    What needs to be done to make the provider read its settings from the web.config file?

    Additional information:

    <system.data>
        <DbProviderFactories>
        <remove invariant="Oracle.ManagedDataAccess.Client" />
        <add name="ODP.NET, Managed Driver"

      </DbProviderFactories>
      </system.data>

    You probably ODP.NET, pilot managed, also installed on your machine, if the registry entry, HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\ORACLE\ODP.NET\4.121.1.0, has been created. This registry entry is not created by managed ODP.NET. Any tracing would flow from the ODP.NET, to use unmanaged driver.

    Some recommendations to try to allow managed ODP.NET tracing:

    (1) value TraceLevel 7 or reduce its value.  Managed and unmanaged trace level values are different. What are managed.

    • TraceLevel: 1 = Public API; 2 = private API; 4 = API/data network. These values can be OR ed. To enable all, set TraceLevel to 7 . Errors will be always drawn.

    (2) set the TraceFileLocation on a directory name, not the file name. Make sure that the location of the directory exists.
