• How to include the install date and time in the registry keys

  Hi all

  I hope someone can help me. I'm creating a Setup program that includes properties in the construction specifications. I also wannt to include certain registry keys to add during installation:

  1. I understand the application installation directory by providing the key to [INSTALLDIR] value. This seems to work fine and I have no problem with that.

  2. the other key I would include (but I don't know how) indicates the date and the time of installation. Is it possible to automatically include this in a (similar to INSTALLDIR) registry key?

  You can configure an exe must be run after Setup is finished. So, you can write a small application using the registry functions of Windows that retrieves the current timestamp and store it in some key.

• SmartView recover fails despite the registry on 64-bit Windows settings

  Most of our users are on 32 bit except a user who is 64-bit OS and it has been repeatedly making message when he tries to retrieve large. Even if we applied the Sub registry settings, it is always the same error message and the interesting thing is he gets the error remarks 30secs from the point it starts to recover. That means the timeout happens well before the record of 15-minute limit. Is there any solution for this? It looks like the registry settings are being not effective at all. Ideas or known parameters for 64-bit systems?

  In the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings registry

  Hi Mike,.

  You probably have not imported the dxi fully. Did you get errors when importing the project? Have you extracted config.zip provided in the distribution on the existing config directory? If this isn't the case, then it will miss the widgets and gadgets.

  Also, if you want the off-field box settings language then you don't need to use the Initialize project.

• Work from home remote access denied because the application is blocked by security settings - never happened before

  (Please excuse my ignorance - I'm not the person more in computer science)

  I worked for a few years with a secure address and open a session using a generated continually home access code.

  Very recently, I tried to log on and a box will appear indicating that the application is blocked by my security settings.

  I tried to reinstall Java to version more up-to-date. It has no effect.

  Any ideas how I can fix this problem?

  I'm guessing here but it could be a problem because you are still using XP which is no longer supported by Ms.  Some entities are beginning to restrict access to their databases by computers using XP.

  I suggest that you speak with the COMPUTER consultants to the organization where you work.   Maybe you need a different code or COMPUTER consultants can tell you how to change your settings.

• Manager update is not displayed in the section of vSphere web customer service

  I know component Server Update Manager is installed on VC, but I'm not able to see the Update Manager icon in the 'home' of web client vSphere section.

  I want to set up the frequency of the update of the repository browser and no vSphere client.

  I can see the icon for the Update Manager as well in "hosts and clusters" and "models and virtual computers.

  Update Manager still do not offer web client I believe. You must use vSphere client to use Update Manager

It was very cool, like I was pulling outwards on the two handles of the low point. But I have been unable to repeat. This reminds me of years ago - when by chance I shot a million copies of a form and had no idea how I did it. Last week, I discovered the tilde key trick and realized what has happened! • Access denied to the second disc

  My hard drive went wrong, so I bought two new albums: SSD for the OS and a few applications and a regular hard drive for data. I pulled the old drive, threw the new ones, reinstalled Windows on the SSD, and everything was good! I have created a few directories on the HHD, downloaded files in there and then I rebooted to finish a few things from Windows Update.

  When I logged in, I could not open the phonebook on the HHD containing my downloaded files. "D:\ is not accessible. Access is denied. "This has constantly produced with the second disc.

  Some info:

  • Windows 7 Pro 64-bit
  • C: drive is a NEW SSD drive with an operating system installed on it
  • D: drive is a NEW HHD for data
  • I connect with the user during the installation, I created. This user is in Admin group.
  • As far as I can tell, I have no problems with permissions on the SSD
  • A lot of people have this problem with the old disks after upgrade or reinstall - this is not the case here! These discs are new.

  I tried the things:

  • Granting of permissions/access my user group is part of the
  • Granting permissions/access directly to my user
  • Granting a group ownership of the directory my user is part of the
  • Granting ownership of the directory to my user
  • Do the foregoing to various combinations of input drive root, parent directories, etc.
  • Reformat the drive several times - this solves the problem for a while, but he returned after a few reboots

  Granting permissions or take ownership usually results in an "access denied" message I can perform these functions if I log in safe mode.

  Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions? I am completely frustrated and confused at this point. I have full access rights and have even files, but still receive "access denied" errors

  This is probably a simple great question, so I apologize in advance. I looked through a lot of information on BC and I can't seem to find the answer to my question (although a lot of it seems to go over my head that I'm a n00b full BC., and I feel that my hands are tied without being able to just stir up the something in Python or PHP!).

  I am trying to create a Web page that displays a single product (the entire site exists just for 1 product), and the user can click on the color chart of different color in order to customize it. I would like my client (owner of site) so you can easily add new colors (using the hexadecimal code) for different parts of the product.

  So I basically just need a place where the client can enter these values, and then I can write on my page in JavaScript format and build dynamic page using JavaScript.

  It seemed that the way to do would be to create a new "Web App" inside the BC. I did, and I created a "Web App Item" called "Data". Under "Data", I added a 'field Item' named 'Color', which is a multiline text area. I entered a few different hexadecimal codes like this:

  (I thought that I can analyze the lines with JS)

  The problem, I comes across however, is to know how to enter these data in my source code on my Web page? I created a Web page and I put the code in it:

  but this will display a list of links, with a link to 'Data', and then if you click on "Data" you go to a separate web page that says only: "Data" in this topic. Very strange.

  Is there a way I can get the data entered here in the source of my Web page? (Or is there a better way to do it?)

  As a more general question... It's basically just how use BC as a CMS and have custom fields that you can then access your web page. A bit like plugin, WordPress Advanced Custom Fields, if you're familiar with that. (I know that's not WordPress, but just a way that I can access certain values that my client has entered in)

• ASA 5505 VPN works great but can't access internet via the tunnel to customers

  We have an ASA 5505 ASA 8.2.1 running and using IPSec for Remote access clients in the main office.  Remote access is a lot of work, with full access to network resources in the main office and the only thing I can't get to work is access to internet through the tunnel.  I don't want to use split tunneling.  I use ASDM 6.2.1 for configuration.  Any help is appreciated.  I'm probably missing something simple and it looked so much, I'm probably looking at right beyond the error.  Thanks in advance for your time and help!    Jim

  It is a very generic question. We use the oracle database. We hold the records of the company in the database. The company records should be available at any time, but over the years that the database continues to grow. Now, how to manage old data. All data are important, but if this is true for several years yet we more and more disk space to manage. Are there effective methodologies to manage old data? For us the old means data that are 10 years old.

  If the cost is not a concern, number of disks shouldn't be a concern.  In the end, you need what it takes to take what you have.  There's no silver bullet to get 50 gallons of sewage in a 10 gallon tank.  How big is your database now?  What is your current disk arragnement - local disks, SAN, NAS...

  Your statement "should be available at any time" seems to eliminate the storage of archives, out-of-database as a band.
