client light t5740 - agent HPDM

Hello

I was wondering if someone could remember where HPDM agent (for a thin client of t5740), specifically 4.3

device recently returned repaired with HPDM version 4.5 HP, however this doesn't seem to be compatible with the version of HPDM (4.3) on the server.

search for the error code: 14000052 gave me this idea, but others thoughts most welcome.

Thank you.

turns out that the bios of the thin client is not able to boot from a USB pendrive of 64 GB!

a 2 GB key has worked — first time, no problem!

moral of the story is - keep these keys GB 1 & 2... they can become useful at some point.

see you soon

  • Client light HP T5740 + Broadcom Crystal HD BCM970015

    Hello

I have the HP T5740 Thin Client, and I want to install Broadcom Crystal HD BCM970015 a half height mini PCIe card.

question is do I have PCI Expansion Module AZ551AA Express4x or it can be installed without it?

can not find documentation on the motherboard, which slots are available, where to install the Broadcom Crystal HD etc...

    Thank you

Just open it and see.  There is a Mini PCIe location to downtown, which was originally scheduled for a WiFi inside card.  With the t5740 worm 1.04 BIOS update, the Mini PCIe slot was authorized to accept cards like the Broadcom Crystal HD.  The older BCM970012 is a card full height and does not.  The BCM970015 is a half-height card normally but Amazon sells a Variant that is full height.  Don't buy that.  You want the card half height card support with full height.  Simply remove the stand so it will be good in the t5740.

Here is an example from BCM970015:

  • WSA as a client device on Agent directory context.

    Hi people,

There is little documentation on it so I thought that I would check if someone else has run through already or can direct me to a document...

I installed the Agent directory context and that you want to configure the ASO as a client device but I can't find any documentation on doing so. I followed a great document of Ludovic Sanchez on the configuration of the old AD Agent on the SAA, I used some of this config to configure the ASA as a client device on the ADC. Someone has set up the ASO as a client device on CDA or can point me to a doc?

    Rgds,

    Karl.

I have...  Make sure you get all the patches for installed ADC.  There are 4, and you need to install each one, in order.

Once this is done, connect to the ASO, go in / network authentication.  Create a domain for your ad. Under 'Active Directory Agent' check the box 'enable transparency User Identification... '. "Enter the name of the ADC or IP and a shared secret.

Open a browser and go to https://<> of the CDA >, connect as that of "Admin" with the password defined.

Add ad servers in the GUI...

  • Audio and client light

We plan to implement thin clients for workers of the telephone operators.

I try client t5545 light, but the sound of the headphones is not good.

Anyone have some experiences with audio on HP thin clients, and who has (RAM?) is important?

    Any other thin client?

    Thank you very much

I did extensive testing with audio, not on thin clients but on zero clients featuring the Teradici 1100 cpu.

These tests are performed for the sole purpose of me wanting to support our current deployment of the VDI softphones

Before 4.6 and fw teradici 3.3.0 view it as a dead-end, bidirectional usb audio is not supported.

Now with the release of 4.6 and Teradici FW 3.3.0 (3.3.1) view bidirectional usb works sound, tho he is not completely without problems.

Status with the analog driver teradici:
The analog driver for the chipset teradici works and has fairly good audio quality, although the microphone to cancel randomly a few times a day.

    Status with USB audio:
USB audio works and has a great compatibility with many sellers of headphones, I failed to find one that does not. Although there are some quality problems, for example if you open a window, say microsoft outlook and start dragging around, you and the person across the phone will get many klicks and choppyness, the same thing happens if you scroll a very graphic intensive pdf document or do you something that requires a lot of attention from the cpu/storage. In win7, this isn't a huge problem tho, it is quite manageable, but it would be really nice to get rid of this problem.

  • Client light configurations... HOW!

    Dear community of VMware,

Please this post if it was answered elsewhere (just a link to where he answered enough) one excuse, but I can not figure this out for the life of me.

First of all, let me mention where my small media/production company uses VMware products.

At present, we have a small collection of IBM servers, running (x 2) all hearts Xeons, 16 GB of RAM and attached to the promise vTraks via iSCSI. They all run ESX 3.5 and have several invited computers that host our e-mail, web server system and one dozen other specialized servers that work for most of the essential production owner application.

We will be soon retiring these machines for those newer / faster, and I want to use them at home for administrative staff offices.

I read several whitepapers touting the benefits and successes of the use of VMware to offer environments of office throughout hospitals etc.. How do? All items are very low on the technical details, and all the details of VMware are all bearings and no architecture.

    • (1) what software is used on the server? I guess it's ESX 3.5 on a single server, and then another machine manages, distributes and provides sessions. Is this good?

    • (2) what are the people who use the light client side? If I use normal PC with Windows XP, then load the guest operating system, that the only advantage of the use of VMware, the solution is management, which is not very convincing as a solution.

What I'm really trying to do is to minimize the cost of the deployment of 20 desktops throughout our office, and a light low-cost customer solution is extremely attractive. Using VMware is preferred because I want to offer different operating systems to each Member of the staff like Linux / Open Office will work very well for 70% XP and clients for the 30%. I also want to each Member of staff to have their 'own' environment.

I am not advocating a complete consultation because it is something I would expect someone to charge (and I really believe in paying consultants), but maybe it's a white paper that is detailed enough that I'd be capable of establishing a test environment, so then I could present the idea to other people in society.

    Thank you!

I thought you wanted to provide Linux virtual desktops to thin clients... not virtual Windows desktops to Linux customers any.

    Yes, Linux supports RDP client-side.

Virtualization is a trip, so this project is still ongoing (as it's more for many virtual infrastructure)

  • HP t620: client light t620 automatic reset by default/settings

    Hey everybody,

Ive been working on my new thin client (t620) recently and everytime I restart my thin client it resets to settins/factory default, everything is deleted.

ive tried to watch anything in the settings but nothing on it.

    any help ?

    New student.

It is a unit of WES?

If Yes, you must first disable the write filter and then enable the write filter after that you made these changes or to use the file-based write filter and add the modified files / registry.

Otherwise no change is saved after a reboot when the write filter is enabled.

    Thank you for your help

Your SMB configuration is perfect. The FTP protocol that is missing is the reason that caused the failure of the Update Agent.

HPDM 4.4.3 is the first version, we support the protocol SMB - with DM Agent version 4.4.3660.14029. For all Agent DM earlier than this version, you must do the upgrade with FTP.

-In your case, the version of the agent is 4.4.3660.12652 which is earlier than 14029.

Once you have updated the Agent to the latest version, you can disable the FTP protocol and use the sharefolder by needs.

  • HPDM Agent Checkin of customers of the legacy of the

Hi guys... you seek help if possible.

Pretty much a noob to HPDM but I learn fast!

I have a new HPDM 4.7 installed SP3 deployment that has a version of the 4.7.3660.23743 agent.

I inhertied a succession of Thin Client that has especially an older version of 4 years of the client there, worm 4.4.3660.12990. These customers are mainly from the t610s.

Ive tried to manually import of 10 or more of these customers, but they are not archived and remain unidentified tab.

Ive found a few new thin clients, t620s, running customers about 4.6 and they check in no problem and I can upgrade via the Agent job _Upgrade, no problem.

If I try to manually point these former officers to my server DM, I get "error to write the address of the gateway, please try again it", I assumed that the agent software is corrupted somehow.

These are all clients of WES7 32 bit so there appear to be no way for me to do it manually deploy or MSI.

Eager to put an object GPO to upgrade these agents if need be... y has a manual method for upgrading agents 32 bit OS?

Tried to share the task of Agent _Upgrade too, to see if I can this script manually, but I don't have a chance with this.

Any help appreciated with a way to upgrade my agents!

    Thank you

    Andy

"Error writing the gateway address, please try again it ' usually indicates that you have enough permission to write configuration files, it may caused by

    1. local application of the write filter has problems

    2. you do not use with administrator

On these Thin Clients with former Agent of DM:

    1. disable writing manual filter and restart the system

    2. navigate to c:\windows\xpeagent

    3. empty the agent.log and Child.log

4 restart the Service Agent of HPDM command line help or Service Manager

    5. check if the Agent can be activated

Check the agent.log if DM agent cannot start.

If the DM agent is started, it rediscover DM console and see if it could be successfully registried.

Check the agent.log, if it still can not archive.
