Client OS VPN works with routers RV042G?

I bought a RV042G, but the documentation makes no reference that this router supports Mac OS x 10.8 or any other OSX version.

Client OS VPN works with routers RV042G?

I appreciate any response.

Hi Marcos, Yes, for PPTP. IPsec built in does not work by default as is the 'same' as the Cisco VPN 5.x.

    Hello

I would like to set up my router IOS IPsec VPN Client and connect with any connect.

It would be perfect to give the user the choice of SSL or IPSec protocol. And the user needs that the Anyconnect Client.

I think it's possible with a Cisco ASA. But I can also do this with an IOS router?

It's true - CCP does not yet offer the options to configure a VPN IPsec with IKEv2.

Can we expect support once again with one of the 10.12. # updates?

This is a very important feature to my office with it, we will not update for Sierra.

    Thank you

VPNS work very well in Sierra as long as they don't use PPTP. Support for PPTP has been removed because it is not safe. By using a PPTP based VPN is useless. Your data is not safe.

    Hello

If you are going to do a VPN Lan to Lan (site-to-site) tunnel n/b, your remote and your office, it won't cause any problems if you have (routable) addresses to public IP configured on your home LAN to your office, because by default the IPSec Tunnel mode is used when configuring LAN LAN tunnels, tunnel mode adds an extra header routable This header has the IP source and destination based on your local and remote IKE peer IP addresses instead of your IPs inside, your interior IPs remain hidden within the header of the tunnel, no matter what they contain IP addresses.

    If its possible without impact.

  • VPN works only on windows 7

I have windows 7 professional 64 bit. I can't VPN works with the Iphone. I don't have another computer to try out it. Someone at - it a good guide?

I think that the VPN is not configured on my win7. Any guide or help will be appreciated.

OK... as test that I have connected to this free PPTP VPN service to make sure that my iPod touch VPN features work.

    http://www.bestfreevpn.com/iPhone-iPad-free-VPN/

After configuring the server settings that I could with success to connect, check my iPod Touch IP had changed to the IP address assigned by their PPTP VPN server and I could surf the internet, check email, etc. etc.

This screen, on the http://www.whatismyip.com site, verified for me as all my iPod Touch traffic was routed through the VPN tunnel to their server and back again. The reported public IP address is different from what I see of my Win 7 laptop at the same time even if the laptop and iPod Touch are vascular on the same local LAN here.

So getting back to your original problem, that I don't really know what is happening with Win 7, at least on my machine and its function of PPTP VPN server integrated. I'm not home now so I have no way to test this functionality with a Windows VPN client.

However, the key is that the PPTP VPN functionality in my iPod Touch works as I expect on your iPhone. It boils down to a problem with the server.

I suggest test you your iPhone against this free VPN server to make sure in your own mind that his work and then figure out what you want to do next. What exactly do you want to do with VPN, if you can get this to work on Win 7 PC server, IE. access to the files, remote and secure web surfing, etc.?

Please NOTE: The free VPN service changes their password access every 12 to 24 hours and idle sessions for more than 4 hours are disconnected automatically. See the note at the bottom of their homepage.

  • VPN works, causes periodic freezes of BEFSX41

    I use a BEFSX41 as a firewall/router and site to site vpn.

While the vpn tunnel is up the router seems to freeze every minute (sometimes after 45 seconds or 30 seconds.

This is easily evindent when ping the router from another machine on the side of the intranet. While the average ping time is less than 1 milliseconds, every minute it will be 500 milliseconds or more. A ping to a machine on the remote side of the vpn is usually 80 milliseconds and every minute or so it goes up to 2 seoconds for a few pings.

If I take the vpn to the bottom of the judgment of the problem (i.e. ping the router/firewall to the intranet side is consistently below 1 millisecond)

I discovered that these freezes/delays coincides with information in the vpn log file, it looks like this:

  • How to match tunnel-group with auth ASA 8.2 and IPSec VPN Client using digital certificates with Microsoft CA

    Hello

I set up a lab for RA VPN with a version of the ASA5510 8.2 and VPN Client 5 software using digital certificates with Microsoft CA on a Windows 2003 server. I did the configuration based on this document from Cisco's Web site:

    http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/partner/products/ps6120/products_configuration_example09186a0080930f21.shtml

Now, the vpn works fine, but now I need to configure a tunnel-different groups so I can provide different services to different users. The problem I have now is that I don't know how to set it up for the certificate is the name of tunnel-group. If I do an ASA debug crypto isakmp I get this error message:

% ASA-713906 7: IP = 165.98.139.12, trying to find the group through OR...
% 3 ASA-713020: IP = 165.98.139.12, no group found by matching well payload ID: unknown
% ASA-713906 7: IP = 165.98.139.12, trying to find the group via IKE ID...
% 3 ASA-713020: IP = 165.98.139.12, no group found by matching well payload ID: unknown
% ASA-713906 7: IP = 165.98.139.12, trying to find the group via IP ADDR...

    % ASA-713906 7: IP = 165.98.139.12, connection landed on tunnel_group DefaultRAGroup

So, basically, when using certificates I connect always VPN RA only with the group default DefaultRAGroup. Do I have to use a model of different web registration for application for a certificate instead of the user model? How can I determine the OU on the user certificate so that match tunnel-group?

    Please help me!

    Kind regards

    Fernando Aguirre

You can use the group certificate mapping feature to map to a specific group.

This is the configuration for your reference guide:

    http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/partner/docs/security/ASA/asa82/configuration/guide/IKE.html#wp1053978

And here is the command for "map of crypto ca certificate": reference

    http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/docs/security/ASA/asa80/command/reference/C5.html#wp2186685

    Hope that helps.

  • 'Connected' but 5.0.07.0440 VPN client does not work

    Hello

IMPORTANT THING I FORGOT: the customer seems to be connected. It shows a lock locked and says connected but ping shows that nothing is not working too.

I recently tried, in vain, to connect my win7 64 bit laptop to my place of work with the Client VPN 5.0.07.0440. All technitians and support staff could not understand the problem that prevented successful login. Later, I could connect my laptop using the VPN Client 5.0.07.0410 - same home network via an old k9, winXP.

What could be the problem with Win7 system? Work on my old laptop is a temporary solution, but not a good thing. I would be grateful for all the help I can get.

    I tried:

-For each access to the Cisco VPN client on my ZoneAlarm firewall.

    -Turning off the firewall completely.

-Connect to a different network (in an Internet Café).

Personal support at work said this isn't the network (they checked my too just in case wifi router settings) from my old computer obviously connects without any problem on the first try.

ANY ideas would be very appreciated!

    Here is the info yet:

    -Cisco VPN Client 5.0.07.0440

    -64-bit Windows 7 Home Premium SP 1.

My security software (which may cause the problem as far as I know, even if I close ZoneAlarm):

    -Free firewall zone alarm

    -Microsoft Security Essentials.

(maybe windows firewall too, if it automatically restarts when I turned off zone alarm)

IMPORTANT THING I FORGOT: the customer seems to be connected. It shows a lock locked and says connected but ping shows that nothing is not working too.

    Hello

VPN client traffic is not transmitted from your computer to the VPN at all tunnel.

It's if you have even tried the connection to the remote server before you took this screenshot?

ID say it is a problem with your computer. Some software cause problems for the VPN Client or Client VPN software has problems with the network card real or something similar.

One thing I might suggest is uninstall the firewall software and the VPN Client. After that, it is enough to install the VPN Client and try to login and check the statistics of same as in the pictures above.

    -Jouni

    EDIT: Whoa 300 posts already

Edit2: If you have a full VPN tunnel, your computer must usually generate connections to the VPN tunnel even if you do not manually connect what either. What makes it even more strange that there are absolutely no traffic in the tunnel. Full VPN tunnel means that all traffic from your computer is transferred to the VPN tunnel when his assets.

  • VPN client and peer simultaneously with dynamic ip

LAN (static ip) - to - Lan (static ip) is very well

LAN (static ip) - to - Lan(static ip) + VPN Client is fine

LAN (static ip) - to - Lan (dynamic ip) is very well

LAN (static ip) - to - Client VPN is good

LAN (static ip) - to - Lan(dynamic ip) + VPN Client does not work

I think that the problem is due to this commans

ISAKMP crypto keyname key address 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0

    or

ISAKMP crypto keyname key address 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 no.-xauth

How can I distinguish a router with a dynamic ip address that doesn't require authentication from a VPN Client that requires authentication?

    P.D. I use local authentication

You are right in your diagnosys of the problem, we see this from time to time and there is not much that can be done unfortunately.

The only way is if the remote peer Gets a subnet or a dynamic address on a particular beach all the time, then add a line "isakmp key... No.-xauth" with this defined subnet. For example, if the remote peer always receives an address in 4.104.225.0/24, then do:

    > cry isa key address 4.104.225.0 255.255.255.0 no.-xauth

Not much, but it's the only way around it.

  • Ideas for why HttpConnection works with some clients and not others

Hi, I have an application that downloads and analyzes an xml file. This works perfectly for some users and does not at all for others. They can even access the XML on the web, but it won't work with my application. Some said they used a bold font, other OS 4.5. Here is an excerpt from my source:

    HttpConnection conn = (HttpConnection) Connector.open(url);conn.setRequestMethod(HttpConnection.GET);String _node, _element;DocumentBuilderFactory docBuilderFactory = DocumentBuilderFactory.newInstance();DocumentBuilder docBuilder = docBuilderFactory.newDocumentBuilder();docBuilder.isValidating();Document doc = docBuilder.parse(conn.openInputStream());doc.getDocumentElement().normalize();NodeList list = doc.getElementsByTagName("*");// .. parse data

Edit: formatting is all messed up

Not necessarily. You * can * make your app to use BIS-B if you are a partner of the Alliance and I recommend this, but this is not necessary.

Your customers can also connect using WAP 1.1, WAP2 or direct TCP. I would recommend that you try WAP2 first, this requires no info gateway APN or WAP. You can get the WAP2 info directly from the maintenance book.

Try the code in the example (in the white paper that I attached earlier).

Your best bet is to develop some hueristics of network connection using the CoverageInfo class (see the documentation of the API).

We are doing something like this, at the bottom of the list:

    BES

    BIS-B

    WiFi

    WAP2

    WAP1.1

    Direct

I think that in the USA, CA, UK and Western Union, BES and BIS - B cover approximately 90% of users. Once you walk out of those areas, it starts to be more exciting.
