  I am trying to install plugins on the web client.  What happens when I click on something like the link "download plugin" under the console (the plugin that allows the console in the web client), it is the .bundle is downloaded.  Nothing happens: always download link, no features, no plugins listed on the Administration-> Solutions section.

  The slot makes it sound like you just have to click on the download link for plugin.  Is there another step?

  It works perfectly in IE and Chrome I opened client Gin through the same URL, ex: http://10.0.0.28:7778/forms/frmservlet? config = gin4
  
  However, if I try the same URL in firefox it shows a large gray square on the page with the message "click here to download the Plugin.
  
  Clicking on install opens a small popup saying no appropriate plugins have been found, it is said to the inside and unknown Plugin (text/html) and a button to install manually is displayed.

  I lost track on the number of times where I have installed uninstalled and reinstalled many versions of java not only the version 1.4.2_06.
  
  I tried to solve this problem for a few months now with no luck.

  Bascally there are 2 parameters that are used by browsers to check the version: jpi_classid and jpi_mimetype. jpi_codebase and jpi_download_page are used to provide information to download the plugins only appropriate in the correct versions.

  The jpi_classid and jpi_codebase parameters are used by Internet Explorer (and as it seems too much chrome); jpi_mimetype and jpi_download_page are used by browsers like firefox mozilla based.

The pdf file, we created (secure) or unsafe, can be played in the Player browser by default, but lists in the document (numbers, letters and bullets) don't appear - just indented paragraphs.   I write a few plug-ins; I myself Gesko SDK from the mozilla site; After build it correctly loaded and works on Firefox;
  I tried to load and run with chrome; I found that chrome can not load the plugin; After debugging, I found that plroblem based on the structures of table - size of the structures is not the same in firefox and chrome.
  Supplementary search lead me to a difference - it's in alignment; Firefox and Gesko using 32-bit alignment/packing and packaging/chrome use 8 bit alignment;
  So, my questions are:
  -What is a bug in chrome or firefox?
  -When it be fixed?
  -I did not work with chrome previously; Since when is - this make a difference?

  This forum is oriented to support end-user for Firefox, not to the developers, so you can't get an answer from someone who knows exactly what you're talking about. For not to sound rude, but if your plugin works in Firefox, but not in Chrome wouldn t it wise to ask a support forum for Google on your Firefox plugin does not work in Chrome?

  With respect to 8-bit vs operating systems 32-bit, AFAIK 8 bits and programs date back like 20 years, so I doubt if Google uses 8-bit in its ' plugins. But that would be better in someone familiar with plugins and development of Chrome.

  One possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or limits Firefox or plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after the detection of changes (update) for the Firefox program.

  Delete all rules for Firefox in the list of permissions in the firewall and leave your firewall again ask permission to get full unlimited access to the internet for Firefox and the plugin-container and the update process.

  My client plugin project vsphere web contains the two files jar "vsphere-client-lib" or "data-services - 1.0.0. These two jars has many common classes with identical or different method signatures. I used the DataException class in my code that uses the signature of the method of the vsphere client file - lib.jar.

  When I build the project, then sometimes data-services - 1.0.0 jar file gets loaded first and so, build becomes due to a lack of signature of the method.

  I need to know why there are so many classes common to these two pots?

  Can we use only single (also available in the sdk directory) jar of vsphere-client-lib pot instead of data-services - 1.0.0 jar in plugin?

  We can achieve all features using vsphere-client-lib pot instead of data-services jar file - 1.0.0.

  Simply compile your Java with client/vsphere-Java code - lib.jar.  I don't know why you use data-service - 1.0.0 (and where you found it). It is not part of the SDK and is not the doc or samples.

  Currently, we create an XML with encrypted data and store it in the folder/usr/local on vCenter.

  Small data files can be stored on the same device running the Web Client (VCSA for Linux) or vCenter for Windows

  In order to make your code compatible with the next vSphere 6.0 5.5 plugin you must use the following directories that will retain the write access:

  -/ Import/Storage on Linux

  -System.getenv ("PROGRAMDATA") under Windows.

  Create a subdirectory of the plugin and write your files.  See the code in the samples/global services/Global Services-service/src/main/java/com/vmware/samples/global services/GlobalServiceImpl.java

  It seems that, in order to develop, Flex at base of plugins using the vSphere Client Plugins SDK Web and get 'full integration', the developer is encouraged to use a MVC framework which is part of the SDK. In addition, I see things that seem to indicate that, once the plugin is runing in the context of the VC, actions will be triggered by the context running, etc...

  It may seem that in order to develop a base Plugin, the user interface must be developed, compiled and deployed each time.

  How should we do about writing a typical user interface application where the developer is able to set breakpoints, etc...? I can do it now if I do not use the hooks of VmWare, such as previously mentioned, but what if I wanted to exploit the pegs supplied?

• Problems with VI Client 3.5 U4 converter / update Client Plugins after reinstall

  We needed to reinstall the VC server, after that we had a few problems with the VI client plugins and removed the customer. After that we have failed to have the plugins (converter, client update): we get incorrect setting while trying to download.

  The VC server has been reinstalled by using the same configuration (ip, etc.) and the plugins install correctly on a fresh machine (with no previous install of the vi client).

  Is there any suspicion on this?

  When you installed the server part of the plugin (from the CD of VC) do you have to use the name DNS or the IP of the VC?

  Try to install the plugin on VC (connect to RDP and use the customer on site) to see if could be a problem of network or resolution.

  I'm not an employee of VMware, so take that for what it's worth.  I think that this clause of disclaimer about the conviction relates to the fact that all the new VMware user interfaces are developed using FLEX.  And there is a rough plan to port the .NET vSphere client based (current) FLEX-based, but all estimates I have received indicate that this will not happen for 2 years.  So if you want your plugin to work anytime in the next 1-2 years, then you need to expand to .NET.  Of course, if there is anyone who has an intimate knowledge of this plan of listening, I would be interested to hear it.  Thank you.
